As a fanfic author, sometimes I wonder if anyone loves my stories as much as I do or maybe even more or if my readers come back to my fics or think about them every once in awhile and have their own ideas or make their own scenarios for my AUs. Or if, when I have major writer's block and don't update for months on end, they sit in anticipation for all that time for me to update like I do my favorite fics.

And if you are one of these people - whether it be for my own fic or literally anyone else's - I want you to know how much it means to me and all the fanfic authors out there, because not only does it keep motivated and writing but it also gives us purpose.

Or at least, that's how I feel. I just want to thank every fanfic reader out there.

Assassin Heir? Crime Fighting Furry? NOPE NO THANK YOU!

"Danyal, its time to end this game and return with me."

Danny should had known Clockwork had something in mind when he sent him on this mission. He knew he should had been suspicious of the time keeper when he noticed the little 'this is going to be fun' smile on his face when he sent Danny off into the portal.

"Get back here you demon spawn 2.0!"

But how was he supposed to know that he'd wake up in this world version of himself in a pit full of corrupted (AND NASTY) ectoplasim at the tender age of five or that when he swam up to the surface he'd be meeting face to face with what was apparently a cult.

"-O just spotted him a block away! I'll try to cut itty bitty bridie off!"

An Assassins Cult his, new to him, loving yet a little insane mother was in charge of (though during the few months he stayed in the compound he heard rumors and gossip from maids and others alike that if his grandfather returned from the dead he'll take over once again, no doubt punish Talia for creating another heir after the failure of the last one, most likely was going to kill Danny and that... that was can of worms Danny didn't wanna deal with yet)

"Ten bucks says they try to stab RR when we get the feral thing home"

Danny had lived with his mother for a while after being brought back from the 'dead' for apparently the first time, it turned out training a five year old with an actual sword and a dumbass hidden revenge seeking teacher was a terrible idea.

"I swear if this one tries to murder me like the others I'm asking Zatanna if there is a curse on me."

He dealt with her high demands of perfection, the endless training, and the constant comparisons to his apparent older brother Damain... Who didn't know Danny, or rather Danyal existed.

Nor did his father (when Danny, using his powers he's kept hidden since 'waking' up in this Realm, he sneaked his way around the base and discovered how he came into the world. And tbh he couldn't blame his mom how she made him, she was an assassin first and foremost, being naturally pregnant would had painted a target on her for to long... but he also felt it was unfair and an asshole move on his unsuspecting father as well)

"As your elder brother I demand you to stop running!"

Now don't get him wrong, he did like his new mother (total badass assassin lady and all that) and he knew she loved him in her own... deadly way. But yeah, she really shouldn't be taking care of kids. He could tell she struggled with wanting to be a normal mother but her first instinct after so many years was to be an assassin first.

Something she was trying to engrave into Danny with as well.

"Ah, hello Beloved. I see you've learned of our Danyal."

"Talia. Back away from him and leave Gotham now."

"I can not do that. The League needs an heir and since Damian refuses to return... I have decided to create a new one and I shall not be leaving until he returns with me."

"Talia."

Hence why when Danny, or rather Danyal al Ghul had gotten decent control over his powers he decided to leave the League. Again nothing wrong with the life his mom leads, to each their own, but he... really, really didnt want to be an assassin. Or an assassin heir.

So here he was, after almost a year on the run, using his powers and training to out smart and out maneuver his mother and her many band of Assassins, in Gotham. One of the last places he ever wanted to run to cause he knew his father and brother lived here.

It was just his luck that his mother had managed to intercept his train ride that passed into Gotham for a few hours and forced him to run into the city...

Add her assassins into the mix and running into Robin, who heard from Oracle his mother had been spotted chasing a young boy across the city, that same night.

After that it became a full on "catch me if you can" chase for not only his mother but for the batclan as well.

And after two whole days of chase, it seemed like the final showdown was about to begin because everyone was on top of this rooftop, his mother and her assassins on one side, his father and the batclan on the other and Danny well... he was right in the middle of all of it.

He just had to hope no one would notice him once the fighting started...

ok hold on let's play in my "sausage is joining the life series" conspiracy space for a moment

what we know:

season 5 is coming VERY SHORTLY

cleo and jimmy are both adjusting their stream schedules for very vague reasons today

gem and sausage both changed into their "default" skins within like 20 minutes of each other a few hours ago (sausage's new hardcore skin, gem's overalls skin)

sausage was the first person to get out of new life, and lost his last three origins shockingly quickly

martyn has expressed wanting sausage to be in the life series, sausage has expressed wanting to play more with martyn and many other life series members

what we THINK we know:

gem is going to be in season 5

they are testing or POTENTIALLY filming season 5 today

I'M RED-STRINGING THIS I KNOW but stick with me. sausage seemed to speedrun his last few origins which would be kinda weird if he didn't have anything else lined up to replace new life, considering he tends to upload weekly and he has been consistently uploading new life for months now. of course he could be shifting to pirates but with how far behind his two pirates videos are from his stream i'm nooot confident in that.

also, sausage is very aware of the lore martyn has going on with the life series and we all know he LOVES THAT SHIT, plus he kinda set up a reason for his character from new life to end up in the life series- he's just learned how to world hop. also also the hardcore skin he's currently wearing is the only one that doesn't have that arm band that he has pretty consistently established as "the thing that helps him world jump" and i mean. why would he be able to do that here. idk i KNOW i'm red stringing but YOU SEE WHERE I'M COMING FROM, RIGHT.

I think Tim Drake deserves a villain arc. As a treat. Just like a little one, to get it out of his system.

Option 1: Tim hunts down the dregs of the League of Assassins, bends them to his will through money and influence, and starts building his own ninja army. This utilizes his management and organizational skills. If Jason is allowed to have a gang, its only fair Tim gets one, too. This would be terrifying and have lasting impacts on the world villain economy.

Option 2: Literally just Teen Titans Red X. Here he's using self sufficiency and stealth skills. Much more of a loner villain arc, just striking out for a little while and finding himself. Also maybe doing some actual Robin-hood-ing and stealing from the rich. It could be fun. And it fits his theme!

See the problem is I can acknowledge that Ezio is probably a better written character than Altair and his interactions with other characters like Leonardo and Rosa are all handled fairly well but also there’s just something about Altair being such a fucking idiot that he basically has to run around the Holy Lands sulking while Malik calls him a little bitch that I don’t think any other ac protagonist has ever matched

I think the reason I don't buy the argument that the show is framing Siuan as a villain/antagonist is that, while some of her actions are morally questionable (as are the actions of many of the characters in the show and books- including Moiraine and Rand in this episode) the merits of what she is saying are completely reasonable.

Cause the thing is, Siuan is right: Moiraine has lost control of the situation, and she no longer has the ability to be a check on Rand if he goes mad or becomes a threat to the world, much less protect him from the Forsaken. Meanwhile Rand, who should be out fulfilling prophecies, gathering nations and peoples behind him, fighting the Forsaken and rallying the world, has spent six months doing fuck all in Cairhien. He certainly has not been working to learn to control the One Power, which is the reason Moiraine lured him to Cairhien in the first place. Instead he's crept closer to either the One Power killing him from his failure to control it, or else going mad from using it.

Is taking him into custody and putting the Tower's leash on him the right move, morally? Maybe or maybe not, it depends on what you believe. Is it something that makes a disturbing amount of sense to an increasingly desperate Siuan? Well she says it herself in The Shadow Rising: Rand will full fill no prophecies dead. At least in the Tower he will be safe from the Forsaken and at least shielded the possibility of him killing himself on accident with the One Power is eliminated.

Is calling Lanfear for a save a morally right response for Moiraine and RAnd? Maybe and maybe not- the Foregaters and other innocents slaughtered by Lanfear's rampage would probably argue no, not moral, but Moiraine would likely argue yes, because it was necessary in order to free Rand so he could save the world. Was it in character for both of them? Definitely yes, given how desperate they are, and how rapidly the stakes are rising for Rand personally, and the world more generally.

Is Siuan using the Oath to force Moiraine to seal the Waygate a morally right thing? Probably not. Does it make sense when one of the Forsaken has attacked the city conveniently giving Rand the chance to escape right as Moiraine has abruptly and mysteriously regained her ability to channel? Absolutely.

Danny and Ellie take a small, reincarnation, vacation from their duties in the Infinite Realms (King Danny and his most trusted Knight/Princess Ellie). Don't worry, they leave the Realms in good hands (Jazz, Pandora, Frostbite, CW, etc, basically Danny's main council takes over for a few years)

They both weren't expecting to wake up in an assassin cult though.... Nor to find out they're five year old twins now... Twin, somewhat clones of the leader and this guy Red Robin their 'father' is kinda obsessed with....

Great their 'father' is an insane assassin leader fruitloop and their 'dad' is named after a fast food joint... whose barely out of his teens btw.

Danny al Ghul Danyal, cast a glance as his full blooded and twin sister this time around Helen Ellie al Ghul who rolled her eyes as they listened to their 'father' ramble on and on about their 'dad' and how they were created to be his heir (Danny mostly, though he had plans on Ellie going to be trained to be his body guard by someone named Lady Shiva soon)

Yeah, no. Ellie dealt with one evil fruitloop father who cloned her once before, she's not dealing that again or falling for the 'I created thus I love you but not really' bs. They need to leave, like yesterday.

Hopefully their 'dad' is... okay he doesn't need to be okay with it at first but hopefully comes around to it, okay with the two of them showing up on his doorstep soon.

And you know what, they're gonna bring him a gift.

His spleen. Yeah it'll be good to give that back to him.

As you may know, there are various side quests that you can complete in and around Baghdad as Basim.

One side quest in particular requires you to speak to a writer named Al-Jahiz who tasks Basim to locate and return 6 lost books to the House of Wisdom.

The final book located at the central palace "Al-Sikkit" is written by a historical poet named Abu Nuwas who was famously known for writing poetry exploring themes of homosexuality.

If you hover over the book in your inventory, Basim has this to say about its contents.
