Canon Bisexual Characters

Happy Bisexual Day of Visibility. Here's another icon set of canonically bisexual characters.

Luz Noceda from The Owl House; featured her before, but given the show ended this year, it only seems appropriate to include her one last time.

V (Valerie) from Cyberpunk 2077; she is compatible with both a male and a female doll at Clouds, and has both male and female romance options.

Hunter from The Owl House; revealed by Dana Terrace after the show ended to be bisexual.

Johnny Silverhand from Cyberpunk 2077; during an optional conversation at the Dicky Twister, a male strip club, Johnny reminisces about getting a lap dance from a "latino hunk", and when questioned about it by V, notes that he swings both ways. Additionally, his only objection to V sleeping with River is that she's "making him fuck a cop", and when asked what he would do differently in the Blistering Love side job, he can respond that he would "do Kerry".

Meredith Stout from Cyberpunk 2077; if V sides with her during The Pickup story mission, then they can join her later in the game for a one night stand, regardless of gender.

Kerry Eurodyne from Cyberpunk 2077; although he can only be romanced by Male V, women's clothing can be found strewn around his house and an email exchange confirms he has an ex-wife. Additionally, he's explicitly bisexual in the lore of the original tabletop game.

Astolfo (Rider of Black) from Fate/Apocrypha; doesn't care if his lover's gender is male or female. Last year, I mistakenly identified him as Ambiguously Bisexual, as seen here. I'm including him in the Canon set this year to rectify that mistake.

V (Vincent) from Cyberpunk 2077; same reasons as his female counterpart.

Jean-Baptiste Augustin from Overwatch; Baptiste was revealed to be bisexual in this year's Overwatch 2 pride event.

Well I decided to write something about some yanderes, well I'm kind of new to this, so sorry for any mistakes, well in the Brazilian yandere community, we usually write headcanons of some characters, as well as realizing that there were no headcanons for some characters here on Tumblr, I decided to write a little about them.

Yandere reacting to reader who cosplays

Monika

- Well, you have only been dating a short time, and she knew that you loved to watch anime, series and Doramas, read some manga and light novels or play some video games, and since you know her well, you call her to watch something that involves romance;

- But something caught you off guard, when you simply showed up at the meeting with the cosplay of a romance anime you like to watch with your girlfriend;

- You did it because it might please your beautiful girlfriend;

- you cosplayed Kaguya Shinomiya from Kaguya Sama wa kokurasetai;

- Well you just wanted to surprise her, and Monika rather liked that, and with that she pours sweet kisses all over your face, and you turn into a blushing mess;

- You get a little clumsy around your girlfriend, so you don't get into the role of Kaguya too much;

- Monika loves how Kaguya Sama's school uniform dress looks perfect on you;

- Well you have been doing character cosplays for quite a while now, so it would be nice if your girlfriend knew about it;

- Well Monika realized at first that this was not the first cosplay, as it was very well done;

- When you stopped being embarrassed by the situation, you decided to act like the character you had cosplayed;

- Monika laughed a lot at your performances, because you were able to get perfectly into the role of the character;

- She loved the work you did just for her, you had so much love and dedication to it, she feels sweet, she will one day repay that;

Ayano Aishi

- She was waiting for you outside your room, but out of nowhere she feels caught, she feels your hands on her thighs and back, you had picked her up;

- This yandere turned extremely red when you did this, and when she looked at you, you were in costume;

- You were cosplaying Yuji Itadori from Jujutsu kaisen;

- The two of you kind of decided to hang out together at the comic con, to tell you the truth, you were the one who urged her to go to the event;

- At the event, you were holding hands the whole time;

- Ayano wasn't in cosplay, since she didn't see much point in it, but so that people wouldn't look down on her for not wearing something from pop culture, you lent her your Attack on Titan freedom wings sweatshirt;

- Ayano was extremely happy and flushed with this gesture, it will be a little difficult for her to return the sweatshirt to you, as she will place it on her altar with other of her belongings;

- At the event, many people came up to you to compliment the cosplay, but until one person came up, making a reference to the anime:

" What is your type of woman"

Ayano grimaced at that, why ask such a personal and stupid question?

She hadn't understood the reference, so you got into character.

"My kind of woman? My kind of woman is tall and big-butt, just like my girlfriend Ayano Aishi! He then points to the dark-haired girl.

Congratulations you have made this yandere extremely clueless.

Alan Orion

- Alan had arranged for you to go out into the forest, since he had a surprise for you;

- But you had an appointment, so you told him you were going to be a little late, of course he was annoyed by this, what was more important than him?!;

- Well you had to go to an anime event that was going to be held at the gym, a lot of people who like pop culture went there, so obviously to show your work, so you went in cosplay;

- The cosplayer you did was Rem from Re: Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu;

- After the event, you were in a hurry to go see your boyfriend, because you knew he had been upset with you for changing the appointment time;

- By this time you hadn't even taken off the accessories you were wearing to make the cosplay, so you go straight into the forest to see that man;

- When you arrived, Alan was sitting with his back to you, and as soon as you approached him, your boyfriend's heterochromatic eyes sparkled with admiration; he thought you were late just to get ready like that just for him;

- Well, his intention when he called you was to fuck you hard in the forest, to get you addicted to his cock, but seeing you dressed like that made him hard right away;

- You kind of won't feel your legs for a week anymore;

Sunny day Jack

- Jack was wondering why you were taking so long in the room;

- He was intrigued in what you were doing, as this ghost was curious of what your Sunshine was doing, so he opened the door to your room;

- When he was going to ask how you were, he looked at you, you were wearing strange clothes, wearing a pink wig and contact lenses of the same color, as well as a well-made makeup over your face, making you look very effeminate;

- You jumped when he saw you cosplaying Astolfo from Fate: Apocrypha;

- Well, you decided to step into the role of the character, just to tease Jack for breaking into your room;

"Oh! So you are my master?! Then I will introduce myself! For it is very important to speak my real name! So, my name is Astolfo! One of the twelve paladins of Charles Magno! It's a pleasure" you played the role of getting all excited, quickly approaching the blue-haired man.

" What about yours?" You had a huge smile on your face, you had really gotten into character, Jack was impressed, even though he didn't understand the reference he quite liked it, especially the master part.

- Jack picks you up and puts you on the bed, he would give you lots of love, because as you said, he was your master;

WAIT I just realized something

Noé and Vanitas head to Gévaudan the morning after Jeanne and Vanitas's date, and they only spend one night there before the arc's end.

That means that Vanijeanne's night in that cabin is the day after their date. Barely over 24 hours. And then the rest of Gévaudan happens within the next day. Including Vanitas saving Jeanne from her doom spiral and Jeanne kissing Vanitas on the cheek.

just a boring astolfo doodle bc i was trying out going back to krita instead of clip studio and i needed a thing to draw

going back to not having the ‘close gaps’ feature in the bucket fill tool is SO frustrating but maybe relatedly this way it seems to require much less cleanup when i do eventually manage to find all the leaks?

...also, i have never before actually seen that different apps will have somewhat different color profiles for displaying the same image and now that i have it is driving me a little insane

I guess I'm on a Somewhat Serious Internet And Fandom Culture Things kick today but

Fandom really, really needs to get better at sitting with the fact that sometimes people don't neatly fit into specific queer labels and that's okay - people in general need to get better at this, really, but this post is specifically about fandom.

There is a bi/gay cusp (I'm on it, hi), there is an allo/gray-ace/ace cusp, the pan/ace overlap is more significant than a lot of people think ("and when everyone is attractive, no one will be"), the GNC/nonbinary/trans cusp is something that has been examined in depth through queer history (please read Stone Butch Blues), while not all intersex people consider ourselves inherently queer our existence very much highlights the inherent problems of framing any and all of these concepts in such rigid binary-based terms, the list of gray areas goes on and on and they even blur into each other -

But I'm not here to talk about that, exactly; I'm here to talk about how a lot of fandom is...superficially okay with this fact in theory, but show just how superficial that awareness and acceptance is when it comes to fictional characters.

If a character is confirmed to be queer, it's not "queerbaiting" to not put a specific label to it. It is not "being wishy-washy and cowardly and refusing to commit," nor is it inherently "making a joke of it". Telling an unlabeled but explicitly queer story does count as representation. It is capable of letting people - out, closeted, or somewhere in between - see themselves reflected with no caveats; people who cannot or do not want to neatly label themselves deserve that as much as anyone else. It is capable of showing people who don't share that experience that, yeah, this is just how some people are - which, some of you are clearly the ones who need to hear it.

Sometimes definitely-not-cishet-but-otherwise-unlabeled is a temporary state. Sometimes it isn't. Headcanoning it as a temporary state in a specific character is one thing - that's perfectly okay! That's 100% fine! Using such characters for self-reflection and self-exploration, well, that's a major part of why fiction exists in the first place! Saying that their queerness doesn't count until they say your specific label out loud, or attacking other fans for not sharing your specific headcanon, on the other hand, is an entirely different beast and very much not okay. It's hardly different from calling an endgame same-gender romance "not real" because it wasn't your OTP.

Your already-confirmed-queer blorbo does not need to be confirmed as [insert specific label here] to "own the queerphobes". The fact that shitty people ignore and erase unlabeled or cusp cases (or mspec people or nonbinary people, for that matter) does not make it right for you to join them in doing so.

Ambiguously Bisexual Characters

Applejack from My Little Pony: Equestria Girls (Her interactions with Rarity in the special Rollercoaster of Friendship are heavily, deliberately romantically coded, but nothing is made explicit. In addition, one of the Choose Your Own Ending shorts has Applejack smitten by country singer Dirk Thistleweed, who resembles a male version of Rarity.)

Artoria Pendragon/Saber from Fate/Stay Night (The "Good Ending" for Unlimited Blade Works depicts her, Rin and Shirou in a polyamorous relationship. However, as this isn't the true ending of the route, it's canonicity is questionable. She was also married to Guinevere, but their relationship was mostly for show, and it's unclear how much actual love there was between them, if any.)

Rarity from My Little Pony: Equestria Girls (See Applejack above. In addition, Spring Breakdown has Rarity develop a crush on cruise ship attendant Ragamuffin, who resembles a male verison of Applejack.)

Aigis from Persona 3 (She develops feelings for the protagonist regardless of whether the player chooses the male or female route, and her social link is unchanged. However, as the female protagonist route is considered an alternate timeline, it's unclear how canon this is.)

Weiss Schnee from RWBY (She has only explicitly shown interest in men in the main series, but in the RWBY Manga Anthology, after Ruby jokingly suggests Weiss has a crush on her, she blushes and becomes flustered, suggesting she actually might. However, the canonicity of the manga, like most of RWBY's adaptations, is debatable.)

Elizabeth from Persona 3 (Can be romanced by both the male and female protagonist. However, as the female protagonist route is considered an alternate timeline, and the player has to actively choose Elizabeth as the Velvet Room Attendant over the male Theodore to access this, it's unclear how canon this actually is.)

Apple White from Ever After High (Admittedly, leans more towards Ambiguously Gay territory. While she is "destined" to be with Daring Charming, and shows some attraction to him, it's his sister Darling's attempt at CPR that actually awakens her from her cursed sleep in Dragon Games.)

Astolfo/Rider of Black from Fate/Apocrypha (While he's stated to have been a bit of a ladies man while he was alive, his interactions with Seig can definitely be interpreted as being more than just platonic.)

Darling Charming from Ever After High (Is mentioned in supplementary materials to be atracted to men, but as mentioned above, it's her attempt at CPR that revives Apple from her cursed sleep.)

EDIT (24/09/2022): It's come to my attention that supplementary materials confirm Astolfo to actually be canonically bisexual. Somehow, my attempts to look into this didn't find this, but somebody else with more knowledge of the Fate series than me brought it up.

The same person also pointed out that Artoria and Guinevere are just friends, and also that there's no reason the "Good Ending" of Unlimited Blade Works shouldn't be considered canon, at least in its own timeline.

So, yeah. Astolfo and Artoria aren't ambiguously bi, they're just bi. Sorry about that.
