Album Number Four Hundred Eighty Seven. “No Fun Aloud” is the debut solo studio album by #glennfrey . It was released in 1982 on Asylum. My copy is on #AsylumRecords - 1E-60129. The album reached #32 on the charts and contained two top 40 singles, "The One You Love" and "I Found Somebody". The album was certified Gold by the RIAA, selling over half a million copies in the United States. One review stated “it's Frey's perfectly guided vocals and impeccable talent for crafting laid-back love songs that make[s] the album noteworthy ... After passing this album by for years, I finally picked it up. A very cool album. Some tracks put me in mind of 10cc, New Musik, Jeff Lynne and even some with George Harrison-style slide guitar. What’s even more puzzling is that it’s on asylum records... not known for releasing music like this. Album Number Four Hundred Sixty Nine. “Centerfield” is the third solo studio album by #johnfogerty . Released in 1985, it spawned the hit singles "#theoldmandowntheroad “ (Fogerty's only top 10 hit as a solo artist), "#rockandrollgirls " and the title track "#centerfield ". This was Fogerty's first album in nine years; After the decision not to release his Hoodoo album, Fogerty decided to take a long break from the music business because of legal battles with his record company. In the meantime, Fogerty's recording contract with #asylumrecords was reassigned to co-owner #warnerbrosrecords so this album was the first released on the Warner Bros. label. My copy is on Warner Bros Records - 1-25203. Fogerty played all the instruments on this album himself, thanks to overdubbing. The image on the cover shows an old-fashioned, "beat-up glove", as referenced in the title song, and text similar to a logo of a baseball team, setting the mood for the track. Nachdem ich 2018 diesen kleinen Kalender gekauft hatte, kam mir die Idee, diesen auch wirklich zu „nutzen“. Was ich dann in 2019 auch umsetzte. Außer jeden Tag drauf zu schauen, ein Kalenderblatt abzureißen, nahm ich mir vor, das jeweilige Album am gleichen Tag auch zu hören. Gleichzeitig schaue ich nach ob ich das Album in meiner Sammlung habe und wenn es mir gefällt, oder ich tatsächlich „schwerwiegende“ Lücken in meinem Regal entdecke, dann kauf‘ ich das Album nach.
