I have an idea for a Horizon: Zero Dawn fanfic, but I'mm not sure if I wanna write it or not. Let me know what you think.

It would be an Arranged Marriage AU fic that would take place before the proving. In an effort to prove to the Nora that he truly wants peace, Avad offers himself up for an Arranged Marriage to someone of their choosing. A majority of the Matriarchs figure this would be an opportunity to get peace and get rid of Aloy. In order to get her to agree they take Rost back from his life sentence. (You can't tell me she wouldn't say yes to marrying a stranger if she thought it would make her Father's life better.) Avad tries his best to make her comfortable and happy, he assigns Nil as her personal guard (Because I say so) who quickly becomes her best friend along with Erend and his sister. Seeing no other choice, she dives headfirst into being Sun-Queen. She slowly starts to fall in love with her new husband and her guard, who also happen to fall in love with each other.

There would also probably be a part where Avad and Nil take her back to Nora lands so she can see Rost, and she has to explain to them why a majority of the Nora won't speak to her or sneer at her and then she has to stop them from starting a war.

For the longest time I’ve only shipped Aloy with Erend but after playing a few hours of Horizon Forbidden West I really ship her with a lot of these characters. I hope for third game they take a page out of mass effect’s book & allow the player to chose their romantic partner. (or not at all cuz some people don’t want romance in their game) it would give me a reason to play the game over and over just to see the different options. 💕🫡
