The evolution of Mrs. Hudson refusing to let John use her car in the future during 4 x 02 (at first) as compared to her immediately allowing him to use it when she know’s that Mary is in trouble will never not impact me. She obviously places a great deal of value on her car, but it’s ultimately nothing compared to the value of her friends. Mary was in danger, so although she didn’t want to actually be there, she wanted to protect her friends.

Jhonlock One Shot - I’m sorry

Jhon saw it with the corner of his eye, Sherlock had flinched. He was sure he saw it right. He only had patted his back,and a few days before he tought he had seen the detective quiver when he had passed his and on his back. A really quick movement, hadn’t he been close to him he wouldn’t have understood the little reaction meant he was in pain. But what could have possibly been? His back could hurt in a normal way, or he wouldn’t have been able to move nor himself nor heavy things, and that was exactly what he did whlie they were cleaning the kitchen the day before. So what? What was happening to him?

The day after he enetered the house, it was quiet, he went to sherlock’s appertement. One little part of him regretted so much not living there annymore... maybe not a too small part of him.

The appartement was dark, like Sherlock hadn’t woken up. Impossible, Sherlock was always up, Jhon somethimes had even asked himself if he ever slept.

Jhon entered the room, Sherlock’s room. He, of course, knew how it was. He had seen it already. But never after... after Sherlock came back. He was too broken to do anything after he saw Sherlock jumping, after he had run to his dead body, crying over it. He had asked Mrs. Hudson to take care of that room, he couldn’t even look at the door.

He took a few steps closer, Sherlock’s face was relaxed, he was brething deeply, clamly. Jhon thought he’d never see Sherlock so peaceful, it was like all his demons had decided to give him a break. Jhon’s look run over the night table, his eyes widened. There was an opened box of sleeping pills, it looked like Sherlock had taken a few more than the regular amount. Jhon checked him quickly, but he seemed to be fine. As if Sherlock Holmes could have been won by a package of sleeping pills.

Sherlock was sleeping prone, his arms stucked under the pillow, his face looked at the window while a little lock of his curly hair seemed to softly caress his cheek.

Jhon stepped closer, he thought this was his chance to finally understand what was wrong with Sherlock’s back. He sat by his side on the mattress, careful not to wake him up. He grasped Sherlock’s shirt and he gently lifted it up. He gasped. Shelorck’s back was full of wounds and bruises. Some wounds weren’t cured at all, but others were; as if he had provided himself to tend those he could reach.

Jhon stared at them,before he could know, he was caressing them, gently, like they were the most breakable things in the world. He continued for minutes, until he noticed Sherlock’s eyes were open. He stopped. - Don’t...- Sherlock’s voice was still sleepy. Jhon resumed caressing his back. He had so many questions he wanted to ask, but as soon as he looked at Shelock to ask, he saw how peaceful he was, his mouth shutted, he didn’t want to break the magic of that moment. - Jhon... - Sherlock muttered. - I’m here - Jhon’s voice was firm when he said that, as to reassure Sherlock he wasn’t a dream. - I’m sorry... - - I know - - I’m sorry... - - I know, I’m here, I’m still here, I’ll be here, rest now. - Jhon’s voice was calm, soft, oh god how Sherlock had missed him. It had been so hard to stay away those years, to see him with other girls. But he was there now, with him... there was nothing to fear. Jhon Watson was there for him. Sherlock closed his eyes again, he was sleeping, calmly, under Jhon’s soft touch.

Jhon looked at Sherlock’s back. How many times they did this to him? He could see previous wounds under those that were still open. How much had he suffered? Jhon’s touch was soft, but his eyes hardened. He silently swore to him, it wouldn’t happen ever again. Not on his watch.
