"...You’re probably just gonna throw us all back inside."

My heart fucking BROKE.

He was literally the only one who believed in Ben.

Uma didn't believe they'd help at all, Evie and the VKs believed they needed Mal to be the voice of reason.

But, Harry, when he finds out the truth, he doesn't go after Mal. He doesn't rage that she should have stood for the Isle kids. He doesn't even rant about this being why he follows Uma's crew, or that she was the only chance they had of getting free.

No. He goes directly to Ben, AND BREAKS DOWN.

For just a moment, all of Harry's faith was put on Ben, believing that he might get a chance to be outside of the barrier and live that life he'd gotten a taste of:

-Eat fresh food.

-Have friends.

-Be free to be something he wants.

It's easy to forget that Harry is the child of the one villain who's most nutritious quality is his loathing of children. One can only imagine how difficult being the son of James Hook must have been.

Yet Harry, who has known nothing but loyalty to his crew, trusted his future not in the hands of his Captain, not even in the hands of another child of the Isle;

But in Ben so deeply that instead of masking his upset with anger and violence, he lets his guard down to him. His walls drop like an anchor in the ocean. I wish I could express exactly how big this sort of thing is for a person who shows as much trauma and uses as many coping mechanisms as Harry Hook is depicted to.

Harry believed in stronger and had more faith in Ben and what he wanted to do/was doing than anyone else in the entire trilogy - even and ESPECIALLY more than Mal - and this scene and his disappointment show that perfectly. His loyalty, something that Harry never falters, is with Ben. It doesn't need to be, but it is.

That boy got ATTACHED and it shows. Ben is a whole other level of special to Harry.

Or at the very worst, you lied. Good grief. Stop kicking everyone while they’re down and just let people process this and move on.

I sorry I didn’t realize that I was responsible for all you here on tumblr. I thought I loathed by most. Now I’m being told I’m cruel 🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

I was also told I broke someone’s heart. SERIOUSLY. We are grown women alll responsible for our own emotions.

Name calling and vivacious anons with get nowhere.

I misinterpreted and misrepresented NOTHING. I 1000 percent stand by the account I gave.

See here’s the thing. I gave you all the first piece of empirical evidence. That was longed for and begged for. And what did the shippers especially do. Rip it apart. Piece by resentful piece. So many couldn’t stand it that I made typing mistakes. A mistake on the date because I was back in the Southern Hemisphere. Anything to negate. Because I was not in the sway of the “Queens”. Slap the bitch back in her place I was told in a DM.

You can thank the fucking moron who insisted that there was a shoe by the left back door. It wasn’t Tiny Tony people. It was leaves and dirt. I was there. Not any of you. Jesus!!!

So then it was rip the photos apart. Over and over. You then gave SC the chance to hope that this insistence would make any other evidence I presented to be a lie and edited and fucking photoshopped. And on and on and on.

Easter 2019 Sam and Caitriona were together in their home as the committed couple that they are.

It wasn’t surprising that I got that anon on Saturday about the preferred place for a destination wedding. Ibiza. And I then stated Benarris Beach.

They know I have more.

Yess also Harry's and umas reactions to him being protective like no ones ever cared so much about them or defended them besides the crew they only had each other they knew very little of compassion and sympathy for the most part they would just be flabbergasted maybe even the teeniest bit insulted for a moment like does he think we cant take care of ourselves we've been doing it since we were little but the four assure them no hes just actually like that Jay;yeah I was like dude at first too

Harry’s immediate reaction to Ben would probably be suspicion, like, “what do you want?” He doesn’t trust that you can do nice things just to be a nice person, they have to be getting something out of it. He would be Ben’s biggest obstacle in getting through to the crew because Harry would be really protective of them and get in his way every chance he got. It really wouldn’t help Ben’s case at all that he’s the boyfriend of Uma’s sworn enemy. But Ben is…well…Ben, so he refuses to back down or be discouraged and keeps trying to win Harry over.

(I may or may not have a Benarry fic in progress that revolves around this concept)

Learning Curve

A little domestic Benry oneshot inspired by a prompt from this list by mvximoff

Ben sighed softly as he closed the bedroom door behind him. It had been a long day and he was exhausted mentally and physically. His dad had never told him just how many meetings being king involved.

He glanced around the bedroom and smiled softly. It looked as though a tornado had passed through it. A sure sign that Harry had been here recently, though he was nowhere in sight now. Ben chuckled and shook his head.

He forced himself off the door and into the ensuite. He needed a shower and then to collapse in bed.

Hopefully, he’d be able to persuade Mrs Potts to bring him up a snack since he’d missed dinner. Again.

He stripped off and turned on the water waiting for it to reach the perfect temperature before stepping under the stream. It was glorious, just what he needed after a long arduous day. For all of a minute.

Ben yelped as the temperature dropped suddenly, from soothing his stiff muscles to ice crystals piercing his skin.

He played around with the temperature dial, desperately pushing it further and further into the red in the hope that the water would warm up once more. Nothing. It was still an arctic spray.

With a frustrated groan, Ben got out. He couldn’t wash in this. He was going to kill that damn pirate.

He quickly dried and dressed, shivering slightly as he pulled on his pyjamas and a hoodie. He quickly towelled off his hair before shoving his feet in his shoes and heading down to the kitchens. Harry always found his way down there in search of leftovers and snacks. Ben had no idea how he managed to burn it all off and stay in shape.

He pushed the kitchen door open so hard that it banged loudly against the wall causing a tall, dark haired figure by the counter to jump. "IF YOU USE UP ALL THE HOT WATER ONE MORE TIME IM GOING TO BAN YOU TO THE COUCH FOR A MONTH."

Harry flushed as he turned to face him, sending Ben a sheepish smile. He wordlessly pushed a plate towards him, on which sat a sandwich. “I knew you wouldn’t have had the chance to eat yet,” he said awkwardly.

Wordlessly Ben picked up the sandwich and took a bite. Peanut butter and jelly. His favourite. He hummed in approval around his mouthful. “I also have chamomile tea,” Harry muttered, offering Ben a mug as he sent him his impishly charming smile that he knew always melted Ben into giving him whatever he wanted.

With a resigned sigh Ben let his shoulders slump and relaxed just a little. “Fine. You are forgiven, this time.” Harry grinned, bounding closer and pecking the king’s cheek before grabbing the plate and mug and following Ben back towards the bedroom.

“You wouldn’t actually ban me from bed, would you?” Ben pretended to think, before sending him a smug smirk. “If you ever make the mistake of doing it again you’ll find out.” Harry swallowed audibly but didn’t otherwise respond.

That'll Teach You

Inspired by this post.

Ben frowned as he stared at the episode number. He could have sworn they’d been on episode ten but it was episode eleven waiting ready to load. With a frown, he opened up the information tab to read the episode descriptions. Nope, he definitely hadn’t seen episode ten. So why was it saying episode ten had been watched? Unless…

“Harry?” “Hmm?” The pirate appeared, a bowl of popcorn in hand and his mouth full. “Did you watch episode ten?” The dark-haired boy froze, eyes widening in surprise. “What?” He squeaked with obvious panic. Ben just stared at him in disbelief.

“Okay, in my defence, it was Uma’s fault.” Ben gave a huff and Harry was quick to elaborate. “It was! She was an episode ahead of us and let slip this huge spoiler and I just… couldn’t help myself. I had to know.”

Ben shook his head, laying on the disappointment as thickly as he could. “I can’t believe you dared to watch one whole episode of our show without me.”

That was a lie. He knew what Harry was like. He liked to binge watch things, he didn’t have the patience to wait, couldn’t stand to be left in suspense. It was why Ben had been reluctant to watch it with him in the first place.

So no, Ben wasn’t actually mad, or even surprised. But Harry had promised him that he’d take it slow, that it would be their thing. One episode a night. He’d broken that promise and there had to be some consequences.

“I’m really ashamed of what I did,” Harry said, though it was clear from his expression that he wasn’t. He was clearly trying not to laugh at what was, admittedly, a ridiculous situation. Ben had to fight against a smirk of his own as he began searching through the settings.

“I didn’t want to have to do this to you but you forced me.” Harry’s eyes widened as he watched Ben with genuine horror. “Would you please, please reconsider?” He begged. “I swear it won’t happen again.” Ben shook his head, it was far too late for that.

“No, the decision has been made. The parental controls will stay on from now on.” He watched Harry’s expression with triumph as he saved the new settings. “Now you’ll have no choice but to wait for me. Hopefully this way you’ll learn your lesson.”

When Ben stumbled sleepily to the bathroom the next morning he couldn’t help but notice the frustrated sounds coming from the lounge. “Oh come on!”

He poked his head in the doorway and laughed at what he found. Harry perched on the edge of the couch with the TV remote in hand, desperately trying, and apparently failing, to crack the passcode on their streaming account.

The blue-eyed boy froze when he noticed Ben watching him. “Uh… I can explain.” Ben snorted, shaking his head as he turned back towards the bathroom. “You’ll never guess it.” He called casually causing the pirate to sigh heavily. That’ll teach you.
