The difference between a strike and a boycott is the focus of what is being withheald

In a strike the supply is being withheald because the workers aren’t producing whatever it is.  It works by having the masses demand what the companies cannot produce and therefore, if the company wants to continue providing whatever it is in order to continue making money, they have to listen to worker demands

In a boycott the demand is being withheald because the masses aren’t buying or engaging with whatever it is.  It works because companies, obviously, need to actually sell things in order to function.  The point is to make the company change something about a product in order to appeal to the masses again

That’s why you shouldn’t boycott when a strike is on (unless the union says so) because it kind of cancels out the strike.  If there is no demand then witholding supply is meaningless - again, unless the union says so, since that means they factored it into their industrial action plan and believe it would be beneficial

I know people want to help but the reaction to call for a boycott whenever there’s a strike just kind of...... doesn’t

Yes, it is normal to be in your 20s, 30s, or older and not have lost your virginity, had a first kiss, or a partner. It is normal to say that you aren't ready for those things, too! It is normal if your life doesn't follow the "college graduate -> engagement -> buying a home -> 2.5 kids and a dog" trajectory that so many people have idealized.

So many people associate maturity with losing your virginity, or having a first kiss, or a serious relationship, and I think that's a dangerous association. Maturity isn't gained through those things, and you don't have to have those experiences to be considered "mature" or "grown." It is not a bad thing to go at your pace. Nobody else can live your life but you. If you end up having those experiences, that's great! But it should be done because you want to experience them, not because you feel "broken" and "immature" without them.

In addition to adding to the mounting dread about what Falin's fate is, it also gives context as for WHY Falin's body being found completely digested (excluding the bones) is so bad. I saw someone (and my brother said something similar while we were watching episode 11) be confused on why Falin's skull is so shocking, since the rules of revivals haven't been laid out as well as in the manga

I am very sick so this is the last thing I am going to say on the subject. The instigating event for miles heroism & eventual escape the narrative quest was saving a cop from death. Miles’ goal and journey is to alter reality so that cops do not have to die in his story and spidermen can save the cops they care about. Core to the central plot of atsv is a view of cops as sympathetic & heroic individuals in need of saving instead of as a tool for enacting state violence and perpetuating systemic oppression.
