So... Warriors
It is obvious by now he's not ok. He's irritable and tense.

I've had thoughts and ideas on this for awhile, so I think now's a good time to speak them. Very important detail at the end.
There are some really big and some small things adding to his stress
The drama with the sword. Wild went against the agreed plan, and lashed out in anger fear for twilights injury. From things Jojo said, Wars is mad about it for a while.
I have said this in other posts, but based on things Jojo has said and some details, I do not think Wild likes wars. He has not really gotten close to him, which adds on to the negativity between them

But Wars... is a captain. This journey is different, and he's doing amazing at setting aside expectations of how to work with rank. But that is still a clear stressor- to him that was unacceptable in battle
^this is one big thing we watched go wrong and has clearly been upsetting since
Another thing is
Wars has been taking on too much. We've seen him break up a fight at the inn, comfort Time (time!), and tell him he'd take care of the others.
Twice he said "let them", and "let him be"-making others have space they needed. He asked Four what was wrong and followed up with helping with smithing.

^^These are all small things. None of these are huge- practically tiny tasks. But they add up- all the attention to others feeling but not his own
... and
Wars has not smiled. Yes, he smiled, but it was not his smile. Since Twilight went injured to the inn, there has only been smiles in a way expected, but not much beyond when he found out his friend wasn't dead. (And when he helped Four at the blacksmiths)
In the updates, I have seen others saying how cool/pretty he looked. Which he did! But emotion wise, I only thought he looked angry. Even when teasing Twilight...

But here's the biggest thing that I believe is bothering him...
I've wanted to point this out for awhile. The thing is, Wars was really hurt when he found out Twilight didn't tell him about Wolfie
It's small details. A few sentences and facial expressions. But they add up over the chapter, and I don't think he felt trusted or trusting when he found out
He tried to find out who else knew
And why he was one who didn't

"No one said anything to me, I'm just left out of the loop. Who else knows? Just us?"
Wolfie being secret wasn't necessarily about trust, but wars took it personally. He really didn't understand or want to accept that Twilight would have told some of the others but not him...
Wars is distinctly closer to the ones his age, who the younger ones often turn to. And as someone who's been through war, who bonds closest with those he feels he works with best?
Twilight having a major secret he didn't share with Wars, but did with others,
Felt like a knife to the (back?) chest.
And it hurt him

Look at his face when saying "we couldn't do a thing for him". He's looking away, directly after asking four and wild if they knew. I don't think he felt trusted. Or trusting. From thinking someone wasn't who he thought he was, and maybe was closer to others...
^^this is what I think is perhaps the biggest stressor- yet most unnoticeable
Wars never spoke to anyone about his feelings. He pushed it aside and went and helped.
This is ok. Between people so close, anything can be worked out. This is very revealing of how much Wars cares about twilight and the others
As far as Warriors pushing aside his needs and focusing on others... it's hard.
But I can confidently say this: Warriors would never want to not help all he could, when the others needed him

Wars is stressed right now. He's taken on too much, he's probably still mad at Champion, and... he feels betrayed (god wars should never have to feel betrayed) and untrusted
Like literally everyone ever others, wars deals with his hurt. Sometimes he can't deal with it alone, and sometimes he can. It will all work out, and I love how much he loves his brothers.
But nothing, I repeat nothing

Part 3! We finally get to Wars, Sky, and Wind! WIND IS PLATONIC ONLY DON'T BE GROSS

𝖜𝖆𝖗𝖗𝖎𝖔𝖗𝖘
21-22 years old, one of the captain's of the Hylian Army. Zelda offered him a higher rank (general I'm assuming) and a position on the Hylian Council, but he refused almost right away.
Pretty tall, an inch above Twilight, but still shorter than Time
Blonde hair, shaggy but in a fashionable way. Idk y'all, he makes it work
Leaner muscle, double pierced lobes, wears chain linked earrings when at fromal events but usually sticks to his signature blue hoops
Can't read Hylian that well, but can understand/speak several languages, such as Twili (Twi is kinda jealous)
The strategist of the group. He was always under a time limit during the war, so he knows how to handle a tricky situation quickly and efficiently most of the time
Went to school in his developmental years, though was recruited at around 14-15 because he was way better in the fighting field than in academics. It worked out for him though, so he's not complaining.
As much as he cares about appearance and fighting for his country, he hates balls/formal events. The fake interactions and smiles make him sweat and he usually leaves an hour into them. He'll suck it up if you're there with him though
Closest to Time, Wild and Legend ironically enough. Wild and himself can relate on the aspect of being in the Hylian army, and they typically talk about how their experience was. Legend and him mostly bicker, but its all fun n' games. Time and Wars are essentially the higher-ups, though nobody actually says that, its just been silently established.
Super wary of Y/n, especially with his expriences with other dimensions and eras. He was honestly convinced you were part of Cia's plan or the shadow, since your timing seemed a little convenient, but you've gained his trust little by little, maybe a little too much.
Unlike his usual demeanor with women, he doesn't outwardly flirt with our protagonist. Yes, he throws a few quips here and there when appropriate, but he respects Y/n. He doesn't see them as everyone else. He has them on a pedestal towering over everyone
Has scars from the war, duh. He was mostly up close in the front lines, so a lot of slashes and nicks. Has a pretty bad burn on his left arm from Volga's fire, it's healed but still pretty scarred on his skin.

20-21 years old, the "Chosen One".
Average height, light freckles across his face and shoulders, he was living right under the sun, you can't tell me he doesn't have freckles!!
Also... sleeper build. I said it. He has a sleeper build and boy when Y/n first sees him shirtless?? AWOOGA-
I headcanon him as having a gigantic triforce insignia tattoo all over his upper back. It was part of his ceremonial return, more on that later.
Suprisingly very school smart for falling asleep in class all the time. Sun was and still is very jealous of his natural smarts.
Has his lobes pierced, wears small red hoops. He wants to get more stacked piercings, a loftwing feather to match with Y/n in the future, who knows?
Doesn't have the biggest sweetest tooth, but he does love pastires of almost any kind. Pumpkin ones are his favorites, though Y/n's cinnamon rolls are quickly climbing up the ladder.
One of the most conflicted about Hylia and the whole "following the goddess" thing. He s=has insomnia because of it, causes him a lot of anxiety.
He was very depressed after his journey was finished, as he didn't identify as anything else besides a hero, and since his purpose was completed, he was nobody.
Struggled a lot with isolation and self-deprecation right up until joining the Chain. He still struggles with it, despite it being years later.
After meeting you and learning about your similar struggles of identity and burden's of mental health, he felt so much less lonely. Sure the Chain were his brothers and they knew what he had been through, you really understood him. You went through the same thing, you knew what it felt like.
Close to Hyrule and Four, but probably most attached to Y/n, even before the romantic feelings set in. He's got a big heart.
Biggest sleepyhead. Will sleep almost anywhere, especially if he's exhausted.
Hobbies include woodworking and playing his harp, but recently took up making a piece of jewelry for Y/n. He's been working on it for months, adventuring prevents him from working on it too long. He wants to give it to you during the winter festival, when you're all his.

around 13 I wanna say, it's only been about a year since his adventure.
Short, duh, but his growth spurt is kicking in. He's catching up to Y/n, and you are not excited to be the shortest in a few years.
Sandy blonde hair, a bit wavy. Somehow always has a tiny bit of sand in it, no matter how many times he washes his hair.
If you think Twi or Hyrule had the biggest sweet tooth? HELL NO
If Wind ever found out about energy drinks or soda/pop, we're done for
Not the best in terms of speaking and reading Hylian, though being a pirate has helped him develop his own colorful vocabulary
Very skilled with up close combat, though the others hardly ever let him be on the front offensive
Similar to Wild, likes taking pics of anything (mostly weird faces that the others make)
Y/n and him clicked INSTANTLY. He might've not trusted them immediately, but they were best friends super fast. Wind has helped you get through homesickness by tellng you his own stories about his home.
"Captain" of Tetra's ship, or that's what he believes
Everyone knows Tetra's in charge though
Struggles a bit with alcoholism, being a pirate and all kinda leads you to be reliant on alcohol. The boys are trying to help him with it, but its the main coping skills he uses when after a high stress situation or he's feeling lost mentally.
Everyone sees him as a little brother, despite how much of a little shit he is >:3c

twilight x gn!reader angst, involving a misunderstanding/argument? maybe one of the chain offhandedly makes a comment about twilight’s past feelings for midna (or ilia), and reader becomes convinced their feelings for him are unrequited, thus, acting differently towards him.

You can't really express how excited you are to be staying at an inn. The entire group has settled at a table, food set in front of them.
And you get an actual bed! To sleep in! Fuck yeah!
"I'm telling you, we have bad luck with love." Legend says, "Time and Sky are just flukes."
"Or you haven't lived long enough." Twilight challenges.
"Right because you and that princess of yours worked out so well." Legend says as he rolls his eyes. "At least you have that farm girl back home, you like her enough."
"Legend." Time says sharply.
"Ilia? She's a great girl." Twilight says, and that is all it takes to ruin your night.
You can deal with the mention of the princess. It's hard not to admire all Zeldas to a degree.
You've met a few, and they're crush worthy, at least. But the dismissal of the girl is nice still.
But a farm girl from his time and home? That's too much.
Because he dosen’t dismiss her name. He sounds so fond of her.
This sucks. You need to think.
You set your silverware down, having only eaten a few bites. "I'm headed to bed... I don't feel quite right."
Twilight turns to you immediately, "(Y/n) are you feelin' okay?"
"Just a bit under the weather. l. I should be fine later. Don't worry." You smile.
Sky shoots you a concerned look- which is fair since he's the only one you've told about your feelings for the resident cowboy.
You shoot him a soft smile, aiming for reassuring. (Based on the brow furrow you get back, you don't succeed. )
You stand up from the table, turning as you do.
Twilight grabs your wrist gently, "(Y/n), are you sure you're gonna be alright?"
You have to push back the swell of emotions. Obviously he's just being a good friend. There's no romance behind his actions.
(He really is a good friend. Thank Hylia you didn't tell him how you feel.)
You yank your wrist away because you know if you don't yank it, you'll do something stupid to let him talk you into staying, "I said that I'll be fine."
Twilight looks- hurt.
You're probably just imagining it.
(Right? Even if he is hurt, it's probably just cause he's worried about you. Like a friend would be. Like Sky is worried.)
You leave the room, already reevaluating all of the interactions you've had with Twilight. You have to stop letting him coddle you.
You have to stop asking him for help every time anything is slightly wrong.
You have to stop seeking him out for company and comfort so often.
And to get over him you should stop spending so much time with him.
Well, that's fine. You'll just stay busy and spend more time with Sky and Wind. Maybe Wild too, you'll stay busy with the cook around.
You find your room, the one you're sharing with Four. (Thankfully, if you were sharing with Twilight like you'd originally hoped, you would have considered running away.)
You collapse into a heap on your bed, eyes stinging as tears well up.
You're so stupid! Why would Twilight ever like you back?!
At least you found out he isn't interested before you confessed. That would have been so embarrassing.
Thank Hylia for little mercies. Or, however it is that the saying goes.
........
The past week has left Twilight feeling more blue than an icicle. His days dimmed dramatically by the lack of your presence beside him.
You're still traveling with them. (Where else would you go?)
But you are spending almost all of your time with the others. Mostly with Wind, Wild, and Sky.
And the few times you have interacted with him have been... well - distant and overly cordial. Like you're mad as a wet hen with him but don't wanna ruin the rest of the chain's days.
Twilight has tried to figure it out. But he comes up grasping for straws when he does. He can't find any reason for you to ignore him.
He hasn't done anything wrong. Not as far as anyone can tell him.
And he's asked. He's asked everyone! (Everyone except you.)
Though the look Sky gives is far too sympathetic for the skyloftian to not know something. Not that Sky would tell Twilight anything.
Not since Sky likes to stay out of confrontation when possible.
Right now though, you're stretched out over Wild and Wind, the three of you basking in the sunlight as the group rests for lunch.
"You're staring again." Hyrule says as he holds out a freshly filled canteen to Twilight.
"Am not."
"You really are, Twilight."
"Even if I am, what about it? Am I sposed to apologize?"
"No. You just look like a kicked puppy."
Twilight takes the canteen with a frown. His eyes falling to the ground between his feet.
"Hey, you could always just ask (Y/n) what's up."
"I'd sound crazy!"
"Not really."
"And how would I not sound crazy?" Twilight asks, and it'd almost be funny if hyrule weren't so done with this.
"You're just asking if you did something to upset them." Hyrule explains slowly, trying not to snap at the rancher.
"You don't get it. A week ago we were fine. We were practically best buddies! And now-"
"(Y/n) won't give you the time of day?" Hyrule finishes for Twilight helpfully. "You know it won't get better without talking. Right?"
"I know."
"Then talk to them."
Twilight does not do that. Instead he let's you have space. As much space as you want.
He's fine. Thank you very much. He isn't going to break just becuase someone He's so incredibly fond of stops being his friend.
(That would be stupid.)
So Twilight resigns himself to the way things are. And they stay like that. Becuase no one here believes in communication.

Eldritch Divinity
When the attack comes, it’s not an ambush. One moment the Chain are eyeing the trees off the path as they walk, and the next there are people in the trees. An aura, rotten and bloated, rolls off the figure that leads them. Dark Deity.
Wild hisses, hand tightening on his sword. Everyone in the group bears his Claim. While it’s easier to override an old, faded Claim, like Skull Kid had, it’s hard to take someone freshly Claimed. The champion isn’t going to give this evil a chance.
Dark Deity tilts his head as if meeting on a morning stroll. Despite their distance from the river, fog still clings to the trees and dips of the land. Standing at the edge of it, eyes burning and leaking mist, Dark Deity is more amorphous mass than hylian.
“Hylia might have done her best to hide her pets, but even she can’t protect you forever.” Behind him, hylians shift in the mist. It’s hard to see how many there are. They slide too smoothly and Wild’s reminded again of joints too loose to hold them up.
Are they the same hylians who surrounded Dark Deity before? Or are these his hylians, from Wild’s era? Will he see the face of someone he knows as he cuts them down?
Dark Deity steps forward again. His double helix sword is held casually, like an afterthought. The teeth of them gleam—clean this time.
It’s Wind, from somewhere behind him, who yells, “Where are the monsters?”
When the deity laughs, it’s the scrape of rocks crushing everything in its path. “I found the leader of that pathetic rabble. He might have put up a fight, but the monsters did not. Fighters need cunning.”
Reaching out, he strokes the head of a hylian like it’s a pet. There’s no response in the dead eyes. Just dark ochre dripping like tears.
“I won’t leave anything up to chance. Or intervention by the goddesses. What did they ever do for us?” The end of the question comes out a hiss. “Left to rot and suffer, surrounded by screams of pain and agony. Innocents, sacrificed in the name of the royal family. Of justice.” Dark Deity spits and a fang presses against his lip.
“Who are you?” Wild asks.
“An echo. A memory. A thousand hurts left to fester and join. I am the wrong the blessed hero leaves behind.”
It’s no more of an answer than the first time the question was asked in Arbiter’s Ground. Or maybe it is. Wild isn’t going to take this moment to pull about the nuances. What matters is that Dark Deity is a product of dark magic, the Fierce Deity mask, and Time’s body, all being misused.
Dark Deity’s aura roars over them and the Chain grunts under the weight of it. Without Wild’s Claim, they’d have run screaming long ago. Now, the boys ready their weapons and spread out, keeping an eye on not only the deity but the soldiers as well.
“I think we’ve talked long enough, little hero. This ends today.”
Wild is about to switch his sword for a claymore when the hilt of a sword is pressed into his hand. He glances down, then to the side to see Sky’s firm nod. The Master Sword sings in his palm. The chosen hero doesn’t give him a chance to protest, just plucks the unused sword from Wild’s hand.
The divinity in the sword sings to him and something deep inside sings back. Dark Deity’s smile fades and he steps forward. The possessed hylians follow.

Divine and Draconic Differences
The skies were clear and the weather was pleasant as the heroes congregated outside of Wild and Flora’s Hateno home. It was peaceful, a nice and welcomed reprieve from the era before.
Wind, a still growing teenager, was overflowing with energy, tugging around an equally as eager Hyrule, to explore everything possible. He had his spyglass out, sweeping across the vast land of the Wild Era. Every so often, he’d hand his spyglass over to the traveler to allow him a go.
His telescope was focused on a chasm far out, watching the remaining wisps of gloom fade into the air. Mesmerized by the red-purple, he didn’t fully register the white-blue on the edge until it had blocked his view.
“Wild! What the fuck is that?!” Keeping his focus on the serpentine creature in the sky, he heard Wild approach his side with the familiar sound of him activating his slate’s scope mode.
“That’s Naydra, one of the dragons.”
That… didn’t look like a dragon. Dropping his spyglass from his eye, Wind fixed Wild with a stare. The scarred hero stared back.
“Don’t look at me like that. There’s three dragons, they’re all servants of the springs. Naydra happens to be the servant of the Spring of Wisdom, which is,” he grabbed Wind’s shoulder and spun him around, pointing to a mountain peak covered in snow, “right on that peak over there.” Wind moved his gaze to the mountain peak, following Wild’s finger. He could see the vague shape of pillars.
“Huh… so you have dragons too? They look different from mine.” Wind began walking back to the rest of the group, who had been listening in on the conversation, no matter how hard they tried hiding it. Wild took a few seconds to decipher the information, and ran to catch up with the sailor.
“What do you mean “you too”? I didn’t know anyone else had dragons!” Wind shrugged.
“Like I said, mine are different, like Valoo. He was a sky spirit I met during my first adventure. And the only one that didn’t try to kill me.” He plopped down next to Warriors, who offered the young hero one of the apples he had.
“Still! Does anyone else have dragons?” All hands went up except for the smithy, who looked utterly confused as he mouthed dragons over and over, eyes swirling different colors.
“In my defense, all of my dragons wanted to kill me.” Hyrule exclaimed, being seconded by Time, Twilight, Warriors, and Legend.
The five heroes delved into further conversation about their draconic enemies. Wind wiggled into the group, chattering about the gleeoks he fought. Wild chimed in about having to fight gleeoks as well, explaining about the King Gleeoks residing in hard-to-reach locations.
“The dragons I know serve Hylia.” A few grimaced at the mention of the goddess, but the dislike was outweighed by the curiosity of Sky’s dragons.
“The three of them were assigned to watch over different provinces of the Surface. They also protected the sacred flames, and held parts of the Song of the Hero.”
Wild was immediately upon Sky, spitting out questions with very little breaths between, all centered on what they looked like, if they had any powers, and anything of the sort.
“Of course they have powers, they guard and protect the Triforce. Even the gods wouldn’t be able to reach it with them guarding the key to it.
Gods and Goddesses were a touchy subject. Some were openly hostile towards them, others in the middle, and some revered them. Yet, the topic always raised an interesting thought; just how many are there?
“Do you think there’s more than just Hylia?” Came Four’s voice, eyes shining a curious violet.
“There’s the light spirits in my era,” Twilight rested his chin in his palm, “Ordona, Lanayru, Eldin, and Faron. They protect the regions they share names with.”
“Oh, and the Golden Goddesses! They’re the ones that submerged Hyrule!” Wind piped up, leaning against Warriors, who grimaced as the sailor’s sharp elbow dug into his thigh.
A soft hum emitted from Time, who had been running his fingers along his markings, a pensive look across his face. Wild bounded off of Sky, and settled next to Twilight.
“I know of one! Legends talk about a Fierce Deity… they say that if one dons his armor and mask they gain godlike power.”
Time gave a sharp inhale, and his fingers dropped from his face.
Others shook their heads, either not having any other gods, goddesses, or deities in their time, or having the same ones as someone else.
“Not anymore.”
Eight heads turned towards Sky, who had found a stick and was whittling absentmindedly, a stormy look across his face. They all shared a few glances- curiosity, and a little bit of fear.
‘Not anymore’?
“Oh! There is another- the Deity of War.” Hyrule broke the silence, fingers tying blades of grass into circles while his gaze rested on the other heroes.
“Isn’t that the same as the Fierce Deity?” Twilight cocked his head.
Legend scoffed.
“Many think that, but”, he stood up and turned so he was facing all eight heroes, “they are different. He’s the Deity of War, exactly as his name implies; a powerhouse on the battlefield, calculated and quick. The Fierce Deity doesn’t focus on war, he focuses on ferocity, on power, on courage. It’s in their names, it really is that simple.”
The veteran launched further into an explanation about the two, pointing out the similarities and differences, both surface level and deeper. Pointed ears all upright, revealing without words how invested they were in this newly learned-about deity.
Wild shot up out of his seat and ran to the house, slamming the door open, sounds of rustling and clanging could be heard, and the heroes remaining shared concerned glances. The current era’s hero came racing back out- not bothering to shut the door- with a book in his grasp.
“Legends Throughout the Ages” read the title of the book in intricate gold. The book itself seemed to be in good condition, missing the normal wear and tear they had seen on other things in the champion’s era.
“I know about him! Flora was talking about some books she had found in the castle,” he thumbed through the pages, “and she thought I would like this one… Aha!” Wild smoothed the book to lay flat on pages marked with blue fabric scraps.
On the pages were long paragraphs of stories and legends of the deity, exploring where he originated from and what eras his legends came from. Taking up a sizable portion of the right page was an image.
“Hey, he kind of looks like Warriors!”
Wind grabbed the book from Wild and pranced back over to the captain, who only raised an eyebrow at him, his now finished apple set off to the side. The sailor raised the book next to Warriors and basked in the ‘oohs’ when they realized that their youngest was right.
The picture and the captain looked nearly identical; only differentiated by the gold and blue markings on the deity’s face, blank eyes, and the color of the armor- a vibrant gold- and the tunic- a pale cream.
Snatching the book, Warriors scanned over the page, lingering on the photo a little longer.
“I don’t see it.”
That caused an uproar, as Wind and Wild both pounced on the captain, claiming that he was wrong and everyone could very well see it, while Hyrule just looked at the captain like he had grown a second head. The others groaned quietly.
There goes the relaxing day they were hoping for.

Legend knew that treating you like this won't really solve anything. The snappy remarks, piercing glares, and the absolute harsh accusations that spill from his mouth.
The arguments with the rest of the chain about how they trusted your words way too easily for his liking. Come on now! They're heros who's been doing this for awhile, they should understand about enemies disguising themselves to attack until they're vulnerable!
Yet deep down, he too fully trusted your words as well.
Underneath all his actions?
He remembers.
Legend doesn't really know why he was the only one that remembered you straight away. Perhaps it's because of how many adventures he's been on, and the way that you willingly stuck by his side through out all of it.
He remembers your soothing voice of comfort after his journey on Wind Fish Island. The way you comforted him and reassured him on what happened, but that feeling didn't last.
You disappeared.
You left him.
And again when the world called for him only then did you return. Once more did you guide him through his adventure, but you weren't just a companion. No, you were someone he cherished deeply. You were his friend, the only person that knew of his troubles and you knew him like the back of your hand.
Those nights of hushed whispers when Legend had time for solitude. Those nights of you guiding him through his injuries, and those touches of warmth that he felt after patching himself. You called them 'feel better kisses.'
Legend remembers the time you welcome Ravio with open arms. He didn't miss the way how Ravio would speak so softly towards him, whenever he asked about you or asked if you wanted any item in particular. In return, Legend would voice out your response.
He recalls the time you encouraged him to jump into the lake for him to cool off, after he lost his temper at a merchant. The way your giggles echoed in his ears, a bit muffled, since he refused to appear in the surface since he felt his face burn a bit.
The way you spoke adamantly about wanting stay and listen to Marin whenever she sang the ballad. It was honestly both of your favorite tune.
Until one day did you finally left him for good. The night before your disappearance you were even more affectionate than ever. Hogging his attention and all around his body was this warm feeling as if someone placed a blanket over him. Legend felt giddy since you've never acted this way before. He relished in your affection as he returned home to lay in bed.
As he prepared for bed, it was the only time he was able to relax. To feel like he didnt need to worry about his next adventure nor worry what who or whag to save next. Legend heard that familiar ballad again, but this time it wasn't Marin's voice, it was yours.
Legend, surpisingly allowed himself to be vulnerable tonight as he laid in bed. He mourned the people of Koholint Island, and his heart ached for a certain purple merchant that can no longer visits.
Underneath the covers did he enjoy the soft singing of your voice. Eventually, he bid you a good night, and he could've sworn you whispered a 'Sweet dreams.'
"I'm sorry-"
Now here you are standing in front of him physically. And sweet Hylia were you even more magnificent than he could imagine. Finally being able to see your expression, the way you stood, and being able to put a face to your voice. Legend greedily took in all the details of who you were until he realized what you did.
You gave him false hope of being together, and being at his side. Now you pretend that the past years of wondering and solving dangerous dungeons together didn't exist?
That his hardships were nothing but entertainment for you? Was Zelda nothing to you? Was Ravio's affection to you also nothing?
Legend hates you.
He hates you and your stupid [color] hair.
He hates the way your voice reach his ears whenever you spoke with the Champion.
He hates your laugh whenever he catches you with the sailor.
He hates the way you unashamedly gave your affection too the Traveler.
He hates how you and the Old Man can speak so softly to each other during those quiet moments.
He hates the way you flirt back to the Captain whenever you wanted to tease back.
He hates the look on your face whenever the Smith shows you his variety of artifacts and tools he's created.
He hates the way you rest with the Knight. The look of ease and the full trust of being in each other's company.
But he especially hates the way you sing with the Rancher. Familiar melodies that you sang before with him.
Yet Legend still loves you. He loves you so much that he would give up everything he has just to be with you.
Legend has traveled between worlds, and he would do so again just to have you once more.Except he felt that sickening feeling of envy. He wanted you to hurt the way he did after all those years.
Although the nagging thoughts that appear, saying that it won't fix anything that has happened. He's just too stubborn to acknowledge the longing that's still there.
And now as he stands in his home. His cluttered home with artifacts that he has collected during his time adventuring.
None of them held any value to him except for you.
His adventure is over, and so is yours.
They took you home.
Legend, finally alone, collapses onto the ground. Gripping his hair as hot tears fall down his face, the world around him gone as he loses himself in thoughts.

I can't quite believe this was first in my drafts in feb and I've only gotten to actually writing it these last two weeks.
This fic was based off of five songs from spotify shuffling one of my playlists which was an idea inspired by @trulytiredhermit and then it kinda just went from there

You know they say you're nobody until someone wants you dead, and I can't help but feel like it's morbidly accurate for everything that's happened to me recently.
That weird shadow brought me here for whatever, most likely because it wants my head for some reason. and then all of a sudden?
I'm one of the most important people to the heroes of Hyrule, brought here by fate for whatever reason and they all love me… although love might not be the best way to describe it. If you were to ask any of them they'd say "It feels so wrong it's right" Heh how ridiculous to be that obsessed, so I ran as far as I could, lost in a world that isn't my own and one that shouldn’t exist out of fiction. Those boys that I once cared for; who promised me they'd find me someway home, but talk is cheap after all and it's oh so effortless to lie when it brings you so many benefits.
The situation was so incredibly strange, I don't think there's any amount of time where I could've gotten used to it despite what they would say. it started, well I can't say normally as nothing about this is normal, but it started well. they were themselves, they were still sane. but then they started to slip letting me out of their sight, less and less and less until it was like I had to be in at least one of their line of sight at all times, they wouldn't let me talk about my home, wouldn't let me focus on things that weren't them always trying to justify it whether it was to me or themselves I could never tell. Perhaps it was both?
This little journey I’ve taken into the unknown?
Oh, I’ll go back changed, I wonder if those I cared about would even recognise me at this point. How long have I been away at this point, it feels like ages yet my phone says it’s only days. Well in the games back home the games always ran on a much faster time scale, it wouldn’t be impossible that I’m still running off of real-world time; if anything it makes more sense with how I’ve not needed to eat or sleep for days on end. I’ve never been away from the links for this long, not since I started travelling with them that is. They’re probably worried sick at this point; it’s probably only a matter of hours until they do manage to find me. Until Wolfie sniffs me out, Sky uses Fi to dowse for my signal, or even Wild traces me with his slate.
“[name]?”
And with that last thought it’s as if I’ve jinxed myself and my hiding spot. The one thing I can be glad for is that it’s Sky who found me, while his anger is terrifying it’s not on the same level as Time, Warrior or Light forbid if Legend was the one to find me. Sky is oh-so-nice compared to them, even if he is a yandere with a strange fascination, a near-obsessive infatuation.
he still treats me like I'm a person though, so there's that. He, I think if I were to end up with any of them it would be him. 
"oh by Hylia, [name] are you alright? you've been missing for so long, we thought you were kidnapped, but by the looks of it, you've managed to escape them! even, even if it did leave you hurt"
his smile doesn't look right. he's lying, lying straight to my face... 
but it's not like he's lying to me. No, it's like he's trying to convince himself that's what happened. His concern is sweet despite how misplaced it may be; I can't bring myself to break it to him that it's not what happened. Unless...
I couldn't, could I?
oh, but I could.
"link, I- I wasn't kidnapped. I was scared of how the others are acting, I didn't feel safe so- so I ran as far as I could"
This affected me more than I thought, seeing as I could barely finish the sentence without stuttering or coming close to bursting into tears, I hope he reacts the way I want him to and by the look of it, he will.
His face instantly fell when I said that, filled with pity and something else I can't quite put my finger on, the closest thing I can think of is pride but even that doesn't seem right, is, is he smug? Why would he be smug that I’m scared of the others when I…
“Oh my dove, you don't need to be worried now, I'm here. I'm the only one you trust after all; the only one of us you need. you're my betrothed, my one true love until the end of time"
his"betrothed", when did he- how would he- how didn't I realise? Is Skyloftian culture so different to my own? oh, what am I saying of course it's that different. why is he reaching for - the feather? he proposed when he gave me that earring, didn't he?
"I knew I made the right choice when I chose you as mine, we’re perfect for each other can’t you see? And I know I shouldn't love you, I know I shouldn't love you but I do and nothing will separate me from you again as long as I draw breath.”
And isn’t that the truth, that look in his eyes, that stupid lovesick look. I’m not a fool entire for I know exactly what it means. The idea that even if I somehow made it home…
He would find me.
And he would never let go.
How are you even supposed to respond to something like this? This declaration of ownership, that no matter what I do I’m his. To think how I idolised him when he was nothing more than a game character, how naive was I?
Even still I can’t bring myself to hate him, even if he’s a walking red flag. Even if he’s someone I should run from in fear - It’s still Sky, still the only one to welcome me with open arms, the only one to treat me ever so kindly when I was petrified of everything.
Part of me is telling me to leave, to do what's smart and practical. But another part is pulling me towards staying, following my heart even if it means taking a risk. I know I’d have regrets either way for I would be losing something I care for no matter my choice and I’ll need to say something soon to him, even if it’s a lie. I can’t bear to see him so worried, even knowing where that worry is from.
I don't know what the right choice is, but I know that I have to make a decision. And no matter what I choose, I'll have to live with the consequences.

Link: Hero of the Wilds
Age: 10,123 (23 physically)
• The most resilient and devoted of all the Zeldas. She will never give up anything she sets her mind to.
• When she’s truly happy and confident her smile is really goofy, her smile is contagious too
• Came back from being a dragon about six months ago, she is still coping with her trauma and found leaving her Hyrule the most difficult.
• The others admire her a lot for all she has went through, but she still feels inferior as she “failed” her first mission - the others wholeheartedly disagree.
• Often has night terrors and bad dreams about losing Link again, Dusk is usually the one to help her through them.
• Dusk is like an older sister to her because of their shared love for education. She sees Lullaby as a mother figure and resonates a lot with her, too. She is the only one who knows about Lullaby’s first adventure.
• She is just as feral as Link. You wouldn’t guess it because of her calm and gentle appearance but she can be a menace when she wants to.
• Fable decided to help her to better understand her magic, but she seems to be falling into her old pattern of pushing herself too far again.
• Easily has the most powerful magic of all Zeldas, but she isn’t able to harness it properly so it is a bit unreliable. Sometimes she can use recall but it’s a bit finicky on when it decides to work. She hasn’t managed to make anything else work yet.
• She is trying to research the black blood and portals to find the links, and she has actually been a huge help to the whole team.
• She and Tetra get on surprisingly well too, they both share that curious nature.
• She looks up a lot to Sun, too as she is the first reincarnation of Hylia. She feels very insecure around her and is sure that she hates her.
• Will document every new flower, landmark, creature and recipe the Zeldas come across on her sheikah slate in hopes to show Link when they meet again. She misses him dearly and prays every night that he is safe and well.
• After being with the others she makes so much improvements on her magic, they are all so proud to see how far she came.
• Can get tunnel-visioned easily and once she gets an idea in her head she has little time to think of anything else
Relationship with link
• She and Wild are deeply in love, and when together they will never leave each others side. After TOTK, Wild refused to let go of her hand in fear of losing her again.
• Wild taught her shield surfing, cooking and also gave her some sword training and archery lessons. She is a very quick learner and after being away for so long she has made it her mission to learn as much as possible.
• Both of them feel very guilty towards one another, each thinks that the calamity was their fault and that they weren’t strong enough
• Sometimes Flora wonders if Link would still love her if he kept all of his memories, but she pushes that thought deep down.
• They are very very awkward around each other when it comes to being intimate, Floras face will go as red as a tomato any time Wild kisses or hugs her, but she loves when he does it.
• They always help each other through nightmares or panic attacks, both are very damaged but their saving grace is each other.
• Link brought her to every place he saw during his first and second adventure, and even to the sky islands. She found the constructs adorable and asked them so many questions about how they worked.
• She feels very self conscious about her rambling but Wild always listens enthusiastically- no matter the subject.
• The two constantly ride their horses around Hyrule and have picnics near lovers pond. She also started coming along with Wild whenever there were reports of monsters.
• When he was scooped up by the shadow after TOTK, Flora was hell-bent on finding Wild again.

Aspects of Soup, Chapter 2!
The window was broken from the outside. A piece of red cloth was stuck in one of the shattered shards of glass. The footprints outside of the window were only a little smaller than Sky’s, and Wild made sure to take a picture of them with a banana for scale.
None of them had a clue about what they were actually doing, but by Hylia, they were doing it! Wild wondered idly if they should bring Twi over here later. He was already ‘helping Wolfie’ see if he could track a scent trail from Grandma’s house, it might be useful to have him do the same over here. Who knew, maybe he’d lead them right back to like. Wild didn’t know. The evil lair of the ingredient thief?
This was ridiculous. It was just ridiculous.
As it was, they had all that they could learn from Auntie Lulu’s cottage. This side of the island was quiet and there were no neighbours that could be asked if they’d seen anything, so they all decided that it was best to head back and see what the others had learned.
And Auntie Lulu had decided that she was coming with them.

Description: Under the light of the sun, the moon, and the stars, Zelda and Link travel to the Spring of Wisdom so the princess can perform one last prayer.

Though the sun shone brightly in the clear, cloudless sky, Zelda couldn’t help the shiver that went down her spine. A chill hung in the air, persistent, pushing her forward so that she may sooner find warmth. They weren’t far from the mild and comfortable temperatures of Central Hyrule–Lanayru was not so different except on the mountain, which loomed ominously before the princess and her knight.
Link walked beside her, expression unreadable as always. Even though the sun illuminated his features, she had no semblance of what was going on in his mind.
“What’s wrong?” he asked.
Link had begun to speak ever since that day in Gerudo Desert where Zelda’s life flashed before her eyes underneath the blade of a Yiga scimitar. The first words he’d ever spoken to her were, “Are you okay?”
And it seemed that ever since then, anything and everything he said was about her, and this question was no different.
“Yes, I’m fine,” she mumbled, distracting her gaze with something in the opposite direction from her knight. She couldn’t bear to look at him, not in this state of hopelessness.
“You can tell me.”
His words were always short and direct. Zelda wondered if he ever had anything more to say, or if he just didn’t know how? Either way, she hesitated to respond, instead focusing on the gentle brushing of grass against her feet. The sunlight filtered through the trees above, exposing their path through the small forest at the base of Mount Lanayru.
“I’m… worried,” she mustered at last. Still she refused to meet his eyes though she could feel them on her, burning. They were questioning, telling her to say more. “I’m not sure if this will work.”
The journey to the Spring of Wisdom only filled her with more dread, more despair, at the silent reception Hylia would surely give her. It was the same at the last two springs she visited, so why not this one? What would have changed except for turning seventeen. Yes, today, the day of her seventeenth birthday, she was traveling to beg to her deity. On her seventeenth birthday, Princess Zelda would offer one last prayer to the Goddess.
“It will,” Link said, cutting through her thoughts. “It will.” A second time, like he was reassuring himself. But the only person who needed to believe it was her, and she couldn’t.
“And if it doesn’t?” She stopped midstep. “What then?”
It was rhetorical. She knew Link did not have an answer and neither did she and nor did anybody in the kingdom of Hyrule because that was not a possibility. It had to work, needed to work, by Hylia please–
Zelda took a deep breath and decided to save her bargaining and pleading for the spring. She began walking again and her loyal knight followed suit.
He spoke again.
“How’s your research going?”
“My…”
She almost didn’t know how to respond. How was it going? It was a mystery to her too since her most recent days had been spent in front of Goddess statues, praying to nothing, practicing what she would say to the great mother Hylia on top of Mount Lanayru. Her father had ordered it, saying this was their last and most important chance. He wasn’t wrong. Apart from not researching in a while, nobody had asked her. Everyone around her was focused on making it through, day by day, the looming doom plummeting Hyrule into a depression. She was no exception.
But she smiled at him anyway, eyes lighting up and perhaps rivaling the sun.
“My research was good,” she finished. 
Was. As though she may never research again. As though those days were behind her and there would be no tomorrow after she prayed at the statue. Maybe it was true, maybe it wasn’t.
“I recently uncovered a few more pieces of ancient literature,” she continued, and now the steps she took toward the spring were more bearable. “From the Sheikah, about how they…”
And Princess Zelda divulged the details of her research to her faithful knight for the rest of their walk, animated and smiling and giggling and so unusual for their circumstances but she allowed herself this grace, this one last time, to feel alive. To feel happy. To truly, truly be with Link and not her personal knight. Link, who would hold her when she cried; Link, who brought her tea when she couldn’t sleep; Link, who stayed by her side.
Until they reached the beginning of the Mount Lanayru trail.
He smiled back at her and squeezed her shoulder. Her voice tapered off and her smile disappeared as she gazed upon the dirt and the leaves and the rocks, worn from eons of pilgrimage to the Goddess statue. 
Let’s go, he was saying.
“May Hylia light my path,” she replied, looking carefully up to the sun.

I literally know nothing about the downfall duo… and anything I do know is entirely from fandom so….. Imagine much like legend his entire team is tired and jaded, only fueled by their duty as the hero. They all still care but they just so goddamn tired from it all. Sweet Hylia just give the man a break.
And it wasn't till the end that I noticed half the team had rabbit ears or ‘V’ shaped visual designs. It's entirely by coincidence I swear!

Time Sky Warriors Twilight Wild ✌️Legend Hyrule Four Wind
Team descriptions under the cut 👋👀
✌ ️Victini: The victory pokemon. Victini shares legend's bitterness towards the goddess’, and anxiety to always prevail.
I honestly see victini as a mini legend, a literal bunny ledge if u will. They even have cute little wings! ... Would it be too much to give them a matching red vest 🤔
✌️ Delibird: A bond formed through hoarding. Sometimes legend would have to fight Delibird for his own items because the bird didn't want to share, though it's mostly to tease Legend, nudging him to loosen up a bit more.
✌️ Lucario: Lucario's EQ is high. Legend's an emotional wreck of a teenager. Aside from being a strong fighter Lucario is there to help emotionally support Legend. Carefully monitoring him, seeing through his snark to his true emotions, and knowing whether to soothe or give the Veteran space.
✌️ Sableye: Something about this gremlin seems right. I haven't played any of Legend's games but this choice feeeels right. All I know is sableye has a good eye for treasure and expertly appraises any loot and items they come across.
Sableye is also very critical of which accessories Legend wears out, styling him to make sure they match aesthetically.
✌️ Ditto: Legend has done it all, and what Ditto sees Ditto does. Ditto can transform into any item Legend has used in his adventures, and while can transform into creatures and humans it exhausts them quickly. Plus they have a preference for magical items.
Ditto doesn't rest inside their pokeball, instead opting to transform into one of legend's accessories ready to fight at a moment's notice.
✌️ Enamuros: The love-hate pokemon. Forced to travel to resolve worldly conflicts is something they both have in common.
Originally I picked suicune since they do something similar purifying contaminated waters across the world. But then I discovered Enamuros and they felt like a better choice for Ledge.
I hc all legendaries can speak human so… Enamuros, Victini, and Ledge spend many hours bitching about hylia and her grudge against them. 9 adventures is 8 too many.

Notes: So fandom agrees legend refuses to sleep. Well in the pokemon au it's because Darkrai curses him to dream of Koholint, and sometime during that quest he encounters Cresellia, who gives him a lunar feather (to help wake up? I haven't played the game eep)

“Oh, I like her already.” Wars speaks. The Vet just seems to roll his eyes, muttering something about the Captain’s ego.
You rise back into a standing position, eyeing the group again. You look back up at Time, stating, “I presume you’re the Hero of Time, based off of your moniker.”
“You would be correct, although hardly anyone calls me by that title.”
You hum at his comment, finding his humble nature pleasing. Turning to the one named Sky, you motion your hand at him, “And you must be the Hero of the Skies, or the Chosen One. The first of us, if we go by technicalities.”
He nods hesitantly, curious as to where you got all of this information about them. He would’ve been more uneasy if you weren’t a descendant, but you were one of them, after all.
“Why… do you call yourself the Forgotten Hero?” he asks.
You smile solemnly at him, “Because this era has been doomed. Utterly and completely in decay. By the time my quest is done, Hyrule, or what remains of it will collapse and rebuild itself over thousands of years. I will be too hidden in the past to be remembered.”
You take a small breath before continuing, admitting the truth out loud.
“I will also be forgotten because I’m not you, or your descendants. I’m not the traditional male hero. Quite the anomaly, aren’t I?”
He seems conflicted by your statement, eyebrows furrowing together.
“But if you’re the only female so far, wouldn’t that make you more memorable? The heroine of Hyrule?”
“Maybe in another life, but not this one. I’m considered a disgrace of a hero by most people outside of my village and a few others spanned across the land.”
“Why would you say that? Didn’t you save everyone from destruction?”
You smile sadly, “The destruction happened years before I was born. If anything, I caused more of it.”
He takes a moment to think before asking the inevitable question.
“Link… who exactly did you defeat?”
Your eyes snap back up at him, making sure he was looking right at you. The information you were about to reveal was going to create the rift of the ages. It was now or never.
“Hylia.”

The room was silent for a few minutes, the only sound being heard was the loud blizzard beyond the splintered walls of the shack. The loud silence made you wish the shack would finally collapse in on itself.
Sky finally speaks, eyes glued to you. 
“W-what do you mean by that? You’re saying she caused all of this?”
You sighed, knowing he was one of the more… innocent followers of her. 
“Well, a few thousand years after the Era of the Wilds, there started to be a lot of… religious issues surrounding Hylia. A lot of questionable and downright disgusting practices. It caused people to start grouping up and separating, causing the nations of Hyrule to close off from each other.”
Looking around the group, you take a moment to let them process the new information before continuing.
“The Rito, Zora, Gorons, Gerudo, Sheikah, and Hylians all started to conflict more and more, eventually ascending into a 50-year war, or the Reawakening. The followers of Hylia formulated a plan to resurrect her in the flesh, killing Zelda in the process.”
“A life for a life.” Time muttered, deep in thought.
“Exactly. The plan was successful, the goddess being reawoken after millennias of being dead. She came back… unrecognizable, both physically and in an ideological sense. Her morality and character had been altered so much to the point of her followers becoming a cult. The cult killed my parents, thousands of people that questioned Hylia, essentially wiping out most of the kingdom.”
“And the land? How did it come to be so… bleak?”
“Hylia is the Sun, both literally and metaphorically. The sun is technically up beyond the clouds, but the amount of destruction and chaos she brought forth made the landscape unrestorable. The entirety of Hyrule looks just like this,” you motioned out with your hand.
“Hyrule is also significantly bigger than any of yours. Probably still larger than if you were to combine the size of each of your era’s Hyrule’s. It has been a cold, snowy abyss for over 30 years now.”
The brunette piqued up, head tilting slightly, “So where is Hylia now? Hyrule Castle?”
You shake your head.
“Hyrule Castle is in utter ruins now, most use it to scavenge for rock or old weapons. I’m… not sure where she is right now, I'm trying to track her down.”
“Didn’t you say you killed her?” the Veteran asked.
“I did but… her psyche is still present. She may not have a physical body anymore, as I returned it back to its dormant state, permanently, but her essence is somewhere. Everywhere.”
Time walks up to you, arms crossed over his chest. Curse your short stature, compared to his at least.
“From what you're telling us, it seems that we were brought here to help you. We came here through a portal, and from what we’ve learned, we can’t leave an era unless we’ve completed the task at hand, regardless of our own opinions or standing on the matter.”
“What were your original plans before being brought here?” you ask.
“The Shadow and his army. It took us months to finally pin him down and defeat him.”
You remember something being mentioned in the archives about a dark version of Link, but only being a mere shadow. Now a physical form? That was something you didn’t experience in your own journey. Lucky you, you suppose.
“Right now Hyrule is… in limbo, I suppose. Hylia’s first form was defeated about a year ago and we’ve tried to track her essence down since. We don’t know if she’s using someone as a vessel or if she’s resting in some sacred grounds to gather strength. Granted, the blizzards have made it significantly harder to even make it past the woods.”
Four, one of the shortest and most colorful of the Link’s speaks.
“So where exactly are we, based off of older maps?”
You ponder for a moment, trying to recollect exactly what town you could use to reference the location you were in. Something that was familiar to them.
“If I were to use my ancestor’s typography maps,” pointing to Wild, “I’d say we’re in the location of the Great Plateau. The plateau collapsed in on itself thousands of years ago and grew thick forest and brush, impenetrable if you were inexperienced with the outside world.”
You take a pause before continuing.
“Though if I were to be more accurate and precise… this would be almost the exact location of Ordon Village from the Era of Twilight.”
Twilight perks up at that, intrigued by your expertise and knowledge of their past eras. 
“How do you know that name?”
“Ordon?”
He nods.
You were revealing way too much about yourself within hours of meeting your ancestors. This is definitely not what you had planned.
Sighing, you reveal another ability you had kept concealed.
“I have the memories of every hero before me. I can see and dream of their travels, their fears, desires, secrets, everything. Even their own thoughts, at times.”
Twilight’s brow furrows, confusion emulating off his features.
“Isn’t that only what the goddess reincarnated can do? How can a holder of the Triforce of Courage accomplish that?”
“I don’t know. All I know is that it started when I was seven and I have them almost every day, multiple times a day.”
Time bristles at the age it started for you: seven.
He was the youngest hero to start his journey.
Of course, it made sense.
The memories of the hero began as soon as his purpose was ignited.
He was going to speak again, but you beat him to it, mentioning something about supper and needing to attend to some matters.
“Once you’re fed, I’ll come find you and find you a shack to board in. It will most likely be mine, as the village is full enough as it is. Dusk and Colin will show you around a bit, let them know if you need anything.”
With that, you bundle the scarf over your face again and leave through the front door, not looking back behind you.
“...You think they saw that time I rode on a bear in just my undergarments?”
“Definitely.”

My apologies that it’s been so long since I’ve made a longer post of my own. I had some things to deal with and I was not in the mood to post anything.
As an apology—and okay its maybe not the best “apology” considering its sad—though, here:
Imagine Wild, having already spent a while traveling and bonding with the chain, getting sent back to his own time without his newfound family. And now he’s stuck there, no portals showing up for her to bring her to their family or to bring their family to them.
And this is Wild. Wild with their self esteem issues who sees himself as a failure. Wild who is probably thinking that maybe Hylia didn’t want him helping the other heroes anymore. Maybe Hylia had given him a chance and decided that they didn’t deserve it, so She sent them back alone.
So Wild throws themself into helping the kingdom, doing everything they can for others with little regard for themself, because he doesn’t want to fail anyone ever again.
And then Zelda asks her to come underneath the castle with her.
Wild gets the Master Sword—gets Fi—from where she has been resting. It brings back memories of the stories Sky would tell her about Fi, when neither of them could sleep. Sometimes the two would be joined by Time or Twilight, or any of the others in the chain really.
Wild looked up to all of the chain. They were heroes, heroes who hadn’t failed like he thought he had. And over the time he spent with the chain Wild became close with them all but especially Sky, Time, and Twilight.
So picking up Fi after having been pulled from the chain…
Well, she swore she wouldn’t fail again. Not Hyrule, not Zelda, not the heroes who came before him—their family. No, Wild wouldn’t be failing this again.
But then it went sideways, and he and Zelda found Ganondorf. And under his watch, in his hands, Fi was shattered. Zelda was lost. Gloom spread.
Wild woke up alone. Alone, in the sky, with a decayed version of Fi, and a hand that’s not his own. If Hylia ever let him see Sky—or any of the others—again… he didn’t think he could face them, not with what they let happen. They promised themself that she wouldn’t fail again and now look at what’s happened.
They were determined to fix this, fix their mistakes. So Hylia damned determined. And they took blow after blow, both physical and emotional. Until finally it was over. It was over!
But once again, Wild had made Zelda wait. He failed and Hyrule suffered for it.
No portals appeared soon after Ganon’s defeat and Wild didn’t blame Hylia for not sending him back to the chain.
Wild didn’t know that the chain has been desperately trying to get back to him.
Eventually though a portal did open up, and Wild went through it, and the chain was complete once more.
The others were so relieved to have Wild back. But Wild, no matter how much and how desperately they missed the chain, was not relieved.
She may be fixed now but Fi still broke in his hands. He failed her, and by extension he failed Sky. He never wanted to fail Sky, not more than he already had failed everyone including him.
But he had. It still happened. He had to live with that fact. And he couldn’t face Sky knowing that fact. He kept quiet about what happened to Fi in his second journey.
The chain knew Wild was acting more closed off, like she had been when they first met her, but thought it might just be from having been separated for so long for another journey. They were only sort of right.
One night, not too long after getting Wild back, neither Sky nor Wild could sleep. Twilight was seemingly gone at the moment but Wolfie was there, curled up next to Wild. Time was the one awake for watch at that hour, but he gave the two as much space as he could.
Sky started to share a story about Fi, like he used to before Wild had left the chain, and that was Wild’s breaking point. They broke into silent sobs, and Sky immediately hugged them close, asking what was wrong.
Wild told him. Her voice was full of self loathing and pain as she recounted what happened to Fi, what she failed to save Fi from. How she failed Sky.
The rest of the night was spent with Sky reassuring Wild that “no, you didn’t fail me, you didn’t fail her. It wasn’t your fault Wild. Don’t blame yourself. Ganondorf did that, not you. I’m not mad at you, I promise. You’re family, Wild. And I know you tried, you tried so hard and you did so well. Wild you have nothing to apologize for.” Wolfie stayed right by Wild’s side the entire night. Time brought over a blanket for the three of them—four of them, when Wild grabbed his hand and asked him to stay.
That’s how the rest of the chain found them in the morning. Someone grabbed Wild’s slate to take a picture.
Wild didn’t automatically get all better from that one nighttime conversation, but he was less reserved around the chain. He laughed more freely with them. Of course there was still healing to be done—really the same could be said for any of the chain though—but Wild would have his family by his side once more for every step of the way.
Okay there you go, you got your lengthy enough apology-for-not-posting-in-a-short-while post and I hope you enjoy it. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go replay some totk or rewatch httyd.

Really glad to see a lot of ppl liked my Draconified Links Au (yes that’s the official name of it now) so I’m gonna talk about some of my ideas surrounding lore and shit
Of the nine dragons, Wild is the ONLY one to have swallowed a secret stone in order to become a dragon. He encounters the other eight dragons during his totk journey (lu hasn’t happened) after they all appeared during the upheaval and is confused why they all seem to accept his presence. In this au, the dragons have some sense of a personality but it’s limited to Legend not liking people climbing on him and flying erratically or Twilight keeping watch of Wild if he walks around his flight path. Just little hints to how they used to be.
Sonia and Rauru were unable to restore Zelda’s human form, and in a desperate attempt to reunite with her Wild takes Mineru’s secret stone and eats it, becoming the Dragon of the Wild.
As for the others, I’m still not 100% sure but the idea I’m leaning more towards is that all of them died at some point in their adventures and to ensure their spirits live on/are remembered in some way Hylia resurrected them as dragons. They’re sort of in a purgatory where they’re neither dead nor alive and Wild joins them in this state but can sort of communicate with them more. Suddenly Hyrule’s sky becomes filled with dragons that barely anyone can see but those who can often see multiple flying around together at once. No conversations or anything, they’re just chilling
I’ll eventually draw out some designs, maybe as part of my October challenge, as well as go more in depth on their flight patterns, drops and nature but for now it’s all very loose ideas and nothing really makes sense at the moment. If anyone does have better ideas let me know!! I am sick rn so brain is not completely braining

The Many Heroes of Valentine’s Day
Would you like to have dinner amongst the floating isles of the sky? Or paraglide amongst the rolling hills of the wild? How about being serenaded beneath the setting sun of Lake Hylia? If none of that tickles your fancy, you could always go skinny dipping beneath the silent moon of Ordon Spring.

               The Hero of the Skies
<3 It's February 14th on Skyloft and you've selected the Hero of the Skies as your date.
-The Hopeless Romantic
-Obviously he'd give you a tour of the skies, snuggled up close to him on his crimson loft wing.
-Or the surface, he wouldn't care so as long as he was spending time with you.
-Being the hopeless romantic that he is, this man is all candlelit dinners with astounding views of the skies and breezy trysts in between.
-Maybe you can check out Bamboo Island and practice slicing up some bamboo...
-While he's behind you with his arms wrapped around you.
-And his hands firmly guiding you as you slice your sword downward.
-At this point you aren't paying attention to slicing bamboo anymore.
-Or maybe it's not that particular bamboo you're paying attention to...
-Sky would be the pull out your chair at the table for you type.
-Of course, he'd eagerly wait for you to take the first bite.
-Speaking of first bite, how would dinner at the cozy Lumpy Pumpkin sound?
-You'd then venture over to the secluded Isle of Songs
-Alone at last, he'd nuzzle his face into yours
-Where his lashes would flutter into yours like the feathers of his loft wing
-And he'd shower you with eskimo kisses
-Don't be fooled by all these displays of romance
-After all, Sky is the only hero with a whip.
-You do the math
-Sky would then whisper with a faint breath into your lips "would you do me the honor of being my valentine?"
-If Sky were a Valentine's candy, he'd be a conversation heart.
-For this gentle hero has no problem with verbalizing what it is he feels within the bowels of his heart.

                   The Hero of Wild
<3 It's February 14th on the Great Plateau and you've selected the Hero of Wild as your date.
- The Spontaneous Flirt
-The Hero of Wild is up for anything and I mean anything.
-Dates with Wild would be a blissful whirlwind of surprises.
-I recommend packing some comfortable clothing, as this guy loves the great outdoors.
-Fishing, hiking, horseback riding, Wild is down to do it all.
-You know what else he loves? A partner with fire and spunk.
-Despite his adventurous demeanor, Wild isn't as brave when it comes to starting a conversation.
-Though he would be a fantastic listener.
-The wilderness can be quite perilous. Wild would protect you at all times.
-You would be bound to his hardened body as you paraglide across the Great Plateau.
-Of course, this is merely to catch the stunning views of the Necludas
-It's definitely not to hold onto him oh so tight, oh no.
-He isn't called the "Hero of Wild" for nothing. One moment you may be infiltrating Gerudo Town in matching outfits.
-The next you're holding hands amongst the dazzling sands of Lurelin Village.
- Speaking of matching outfits, Wild has quite an impressive array of outfits in his wardrobe.
-Role playing would be a serious turn on for him.
-This boy isn't all mountains and sea. In fact, he loves to settle down beneath the stars with a fresh cooked meal.
-Which he'll cook and do an excellent job at. Each bite will be more tantalizing and luscious than the next.
-Speaking of luscious, let's discuss his kisses, shall we?
-While role playing would break Wild out of his timidity, he still is, within his core, a shy boy.
-He is a big fan of innocent forehead kisses. That way he can mask the crawling blush that's worked itself up to his ears.
-He also wouldn't mind feeding you bites of the delectable food concoctions he's created.
-There aren't napkins in the wild. But never fear, he'll just use his tongue to clean up the mess.
-If Wild were a Valentine's candy, well, he wouldn't be a candy but a succulent strawberry.
-For this hero has no problem showing you everything nature has to offer, himself included.

                        The Hero of Time
<3 It's February 14th across the sweeping fields of Hyrule and you've selected the Hero of Time as your date.
-The Chivalrous Lover
-Let me start off by saying Time will come across as very guarded.
-But just like the drawbridge to Hyrule Castle Town, it is something momentous once he lowers his guard.
-Manners and respect are of the utmost importance to this hero. This is a man who will always make sure he walks on the side of the street, while you are securely beside him on the curb.
-Beyond his reticent exterior is the wondrous heart of a child lying within.
-Yes, Time would have no problem playing games in Castle Town or Kakariko and winning you prizes.
-That heart piece you want from bomb chu bowling? Yours.
- That heart piece you want from the horseback archery in Gerudo desert? Yours.
-His heart? Yours.
-This is a man who wants to show you Hyrule through his eyes.
-What you weren't expecting was the double visions of Hyrule in which you will become acquainted. The Hyrule of his childhood and the Hyrule of present.
-He may wish to show you the Kokiri forest where he grew up.
-Only to whisk you to Lake Hylia where you can catch the setting sun and he can serenade you with the many tunes he knows on his ocarina.
-Speaking of Lake Hylia, did I mention how secluded it is?
-You see, seclusion is very important for Time.
-This is a hero who has no kink, he simply wishes to merge himself body, mind and soul with his beloved.
- Time would like nothing more than to get lost in the depth of your eyes before claiming your lips in between his own.
-If the Hero of Time were a Valentine's candy, he'd be a traditional box of chocolates.
- For this hero knows all too well how heartless time can be as it trickles away. And so, much like the ageless box of chocolate, Time would like a love that is timeless. A love that will last forevermore and where time has no prevalence.

               The Hero of Twilight
<3 It's February 14th in Ordon Village and you've selected the Hero of Twilight as your date.
-The Mercurial Paramour
-The Hero of Twilight is a little bit complex.
-He may not say much verbally, but he'll say plenty with his very expressive face.
-At first glance, Twilight may seem very simple. He is but a ranch hand to his friend Fado.
-He may make this seem like work, but secretly this hero is a big softie when it comes to animals.
-He would love to show you his cat collection or the many dogs that cohabitate in his village.
-He may not show you the goats he herds, he does have an image to upkeep after all.
-Twilight could dash you across the many locales of Hyrule but he'd prefer to show you the cozy magic of Ordon Village.
-He has a quant abode where he would happily cook you a romantic dinner.
-Still wanting to venture out into Hyrule? Not after a moonlit jaunt to Ordon Spring.
-This is where Twilight's dull rancher facade will shatter.
-Don't be bashful if he suggests some skinny dipping.
-Do you think he wore that flimsy rancher outfit for work? No, no more like he was working at showing you his biceps and all the things his muscle could do to you if you let him.
-Something about the dark side of the moon transforms this man.
-He's got you alone and right where he wants you. Hopefully you won't mind a little nibbling and biting.
-A little will turn into a lot as you'll find Twilight forgo every last shred of control he may have had.
-It won't be long before you understand why this hero was chosen to be transformed into a wolf.
-And quite frankly, you'll also find you don't mind.
-If the Hero of Twilight were a Valentine's candy, he'd be a cinnamon heart.
-For this hero will melt you with his sweet exterior, surprising you with the taste of his masterfully hidden spice that will linger on your lips. And leaving you in desperate need of more.

             The Warrior of Hyrule
<3 It's February 14th at Hyrule Castle and you've selected Link, a warrior of Hyrule as your date.
-Love's cynic
- The most impenetrable of all versions of the hero.
- Takes his knight training and his allegiance to the Hylian royal guard, very, very seriously.
- You know what else he takes seriously? His devotion to you.
- This warrior may come off as pompous, but only because he feels he has much to prove.
- In fact, this relentless ambition he possesses is rooted in deep insecurity.
- He secretly wants a partner that can see through him, that can reassure him that he is enough.
- He wants someone who will choose him and only him.
-He may not be able to fly you above the clouds, glide you beyond the mountains, transport you through time or realms; but he can offer you something just as priceless.
- This warrior will fight all your battles with you, and if he can, for you.
-Speaking of fighting, he has the most raw physical strength out of any of the heroes.
- He may be confined to Hyrule Castle but, he has no problem sneaking you into his room. Where he can demonstrate just how strong he is.
- Do you think your endurance can match that of Hyrule's greatest warrior?
- This hero isn't about rough love making. Though he would never reject a request or challenge to prove his sexual prowess.
- He would much rather strip you raw with his gaze, letting your fingers linger over the heavy beating of his secretly fragile heart.
- This warrior wants to see you beg.
- Hyrule Warriors Link would not be a Valentine's candy, he would be the deceiving decadence of red velvet cake.
-For this warrior, looks are deceiving. But what he feels in the core of his heart is not.
