Vicky: *falls down a flight of stairs, hits her head on the doorframe, drops her drink on the floor, nearly gets herself killed every other hour*
War and Hunger: Damn, that's the hottest thing I've ever seen.

i really think the fandom kind of glosses over the trauma annabeth endured in ttc. like, the poor girl fell off the side of a cliff, was manipulated into holding the literal weight of the sky on her shoulders for hours, and (if i remember correctly) was tied up at one point. but this is all we can be certain happened because that's all of what percy saw. but what about what we didn't see? the poor girl probably spent the first few days immobilized and in so much physical pain once artemis took the sky from her. she was probably starved, or at the very least, not getting the amount of food and water she needed consistently. she probably spent most of her nights in an endless cycle of torment knowing that her friends were coming for her, but not knowing how long it would take them to find her. she probably quietly cried herself to sleep knowing the reason she was even in this mess was because of luke. i could go on and on, but you get my point.

I just don’t think I’ll ever get over the way Juno and Phil understood their roles for That Scene.
Every ounce of bitterness and anger that’s rolling in waves off of Keeley while she sits in her bed just MELTING out of her when Jamie tells her it’s not her fault and then assumes responsibility. Everyone has told her how much it sucks, but no one has told her it isn’t her fault. Keeley Accountability Jones, just so angry that this ISN’T her fault and everyone wants her to admit it is, and here comes Jamie telling her it’s not her fault and apologizing. Granted, not something he needs to apologize for, but he tells her HOW the leak happened and that he’s sorry and he takes accountability. And the way Juno just floods the viewer with that relief. Incredible.
And Phil??? With the nervous energy and the guilt (facing AWAY from the door when he’s always been facing it when he shows up to her house) and the over explaining and apologizing followed by HIS relief at the forgiveness and the ACCEPTANCE OF HIS ACCOUNTABILITY and the hug he thought he would never have again.
They did such a good job, I’ll never get over it

Do you think Johanna settled for Anders’ despite him being so non committal and always leaving her behind because that’s the kind of love she was used to? Do you think she thought this was all she deserved? And it’s through loving Hilda so strongly that she could never dream of leaving her that she realise love isn’t supposed to work like that? Do you think she wondered if she was wrong when Hilda started to drift from her as well in season 2? Do you think she wondered if this was always how it would go?

Jesus Christ. I've never read Yellowfang's Secret and it's insane to me that what we see of Lizard is supposed to be "evil woman" like from the screenshots you posted this is really and truly someone who is being forced to bear children. Forced to care for them. Lashing out that her husband can keep doing his job and she has to drop everything to care for children she didn't want. And that horrible shit from Ragged oh my God dude.
It's SO fucked up!! That exchange with Hollyflower is HORRIFYING!!!
Like, during the Brokenkit Handoff, she's shouting about not wanting to raise every unwanted kit and how badly she hates this, only for Raggedstar to start bellowing at her to shut her mouth. He's able to "convince" her based on on "ambition" they slapped onto the character in that moment, but when you really step back and look at the context, it just reads like she realizes she has no fucking choice
She's the only queen in the nursery. There was no "saying no"
Especially not to the deputy
NO ONE cares about Lizardstripe as a person, even though she's obviously really uncomfortable about being forced to birth and raise children
"I know she doesn't want this. That's too fucking bad. It's her duty as a woman" -Sagewhisker
I can't get over it. This book doesn't treat her like a person, it treats her like a bad vessel. She's a horrible mother because she DOESN'T WANT THIS, and the narrative condemns her, even partially blames her for A BABY-KILLING TYRANT, because she wasn't happy about the situation she was forced into.
Like... jesus christ!!

Haven't been following the James Somerton drama closely but it's become so ridiculous that it's funny
Is no one going to talk about the fact that he said that he thought it was okay for him to mention Vito Russo in the opening credits and then never mention him again because his book was out of print and Russo was dead....
And then in the same breath say that he was 'extending Russo's legacy' like my brother in Christ do you even hear yourself-

Sometimes i think of the innate bond all living beings share with their mom and sob. Some people should never be mothers, but those who are even ok at it will be forever loved and cherished. They will leave an unfillable gap for the rest of their childs life once theyre gone and when it is their childs time to pass they will cry out for their mom like they did when they were born. I can only hope once I’m taking my last breaths and call for my mother i will go into an unfamiliar light and embrace her again as i did all those years ago

wait, the teacher makes every person's crit TAKE 20 minutes to finish? because I initially read it as you move on to the next person once it's been 20 minutes, but that's normal so that can't be what you're complaining about
homegirl set a timer on her phone for 20 minutes and made us talk about one singular piece for the entire 20 minutes. if we ran out of things to say and the timer was still going she would start calling on people and forcing them to nitpick until the timer ran out. literally traumatizing

The most beautiful thing in the entire Trolls franchise will always be Branch's character in the first movie when he wanted Poppy to understand that life isn't as perfect as she thinks but when she got betrayed and hurt and lost all hope he did everything to make her happy again because he wanted her to understand the pain but not experience it because she didn't deserve that and he didn't think that others have to suffer because he did.

why can't anyone understand that everyone is different and not everyone likes the same things and that it's completely okay AND normal for someone not to like going out and preferring to stay at home :/

In the princess Luz AU, how long would it take for Luz to start having nightmares about losing Amity? She’s obviously now someone who’s close to her, I feel like it’d mess up her nights
luz is Already having nightmares about it. admittedly they aren't very sapphic nightmares at the moment because her subconscious is a little too busy marinating in The Horrors to be gay, but. she's been having nightmares about something happening to amity ever since WAAAAYYY back when luz invoked a grimwalker of her with belos.
nowadays they just hurt more. on a personal grief level. for reasons luz cannot quantify or explain.

zelink in your au or nah?
i would say there’s about as much zelink in my au as there is in the game, so…like it’s there but it’s also probably sad and doomed lol. link also isn’t there for the large majority of it, so a lot it comes down to how sheik remembers him while he’s sealed in the sacred realm and how she feels about their whole situation over a period of years. it’s kinda hard to say how their relationship is when one of them isn’t there for so much of it, and the other is constantly thinking and mulling over just their memories of them and what they could’ve done differently. but that’s also part of the reason they’re so interesting and heartbreaking to me. im blabbin but basically there isn’t NOT zelink, but it’s complicated and still sad and not necessarily the main focus

Man. May I just say. I love how in this game it’s like “you have four suitors and three of them are the most repulsive men on the planet then you have this really energetic guy who wants you to step on him if he does anything bad BUT he’s trying his best”.

Anyway I hope the audience is still screaming Cha Cha Cha in their minds. I hope Käärija got serenaded backstage with people aggressively screaming Cha Cha Cha so loud he couldn't hear the sad noises of being disappointed by not winning anymore. I hope he goes home and the Finns will hold some sort of event where he'll be met with people singing Cha Cha Cha and doing the dance moves. I hope he gets a week off just to walk around different places that have put up Käärija stuff and look at all of it and see how much people loved his song. I hope Cha Cha Cha gets one billion streams and that people will also listen to his other music.

Otto/Alicent is much like Daemyra where there cannot be a divorce because you cannot divorce your uncle, likewise you cannot divorce your father. Although unlike Daemyra there cannot be an actual marriage however Otto is still Alicent's husband in every way except legally.
true!! people go like ew that's her father but like they are socially married, she's the lady of his household and he's the father figure of her children. what else. it's not because i'm biased but him asking this just when he's leaving the castle as if he's the husband giving concession to an affair.....
and i don't think he really wishes it!!! he still keeps her closer than he should. like, it really feels like viserys is the interloper, not otto.
