The Bad Ending

Hearing c!Wilbur talk about how he's c!Dreams creation, how Dream has power over him because he revived him, is making me think about c!Tommy listening to this and taking it to heart. 

Hearing Wilbur talk about this power Dream holds over him and having the gut wrenching realisation that not only does Dreams ability to revive him have power over him in death, but in life too. He took away his ability to die, to escape, and pushed it further by taking away his ability to live because now even his heartbeat belongs to Dream.

That sinking knowledge of the person who abused him, who pushed him to attempting suicide, has another "gotcha" card over him. Feeling like revival has more power over him than JUST in his deaths, but now in the lives he leads after it.

Obviously the fear of this threat was always in his life, he made it clear it was something he feared, but now its going to be echoed in the way he breathes. 

Idk man. I just think itd suck to hear that even though Wilbur didnt know.

I love c!Techno so much, I love how he grows across the story, I love how he's one of the only characters who has canonically said "I was wrong" and tried to actually learn from his actions and be a better person, I love how he's too paranoid to trust anybody but still gives to others so freely, I love how he's so loyal to anybody who shows him even a shred of kindness, I love how he is strong and capable and not afraid of showing it, I love how it has made him unable to express vulnerability but he still tries to, I love how he canonically has PTSD, I love how he has a service animal, I love how Techno is the first to think the world is cruel and yet he's also the first to be kind to animals or even people for no reason, I love him, I love him, I love him

So um, in light of my last post I was inspired to look into other dsmp people's ages because I feel like we don’t really think about it too often and oh does it make things interesting…

Just for reference and consideration, here are some United States Legal Age Minimums:

Drive: 16-18

Adult: 18-21

Vote: 18

Drink Alcohol: 21

Political Office: 25 (Representative) 30 (Senator) 35 (President)

Military: 17-18

Also Note: On average the brain is scientifically not fully developed until age 25 - and oh wouldn't you know it 90% of the server fall under that, meaning no wonder we have a bunch of wars their prefrontal cortex isn't fully developed and wouldn't you know it that part of the brain is responsible for regulating attention, behavior, and emotion as well as the processing that Actions Have Consequences... huh whelp that makes sense.

Anyways… age data is below (I didn't do everyone nor every event - nobody got time for that ;D... I didn't have time for this to begin with lol...) But I specifically want to highlight that not only was Dream 21 from Jan-Aug of his Imprisonment, but Sam was also 21 till Jun, and Quackity was literally 20 while he was daily torturing Dream... 20?! They were roughly a year apart, all of them so close. Like can you imagine, treating your peer like that? Sam is like a couple months older than Dream and that's it. Quackity can't even drink legally in the United States. That's insane...

He came back with the hope of dealing himself more pain but was met with undeserved love and that hurt him much more than anything else he could have done to himself

A little snippet from the next chapter of monster's don't deserve hugs but you aren't a monster :)

With the immediate threat gone, the blonde breathed a sigh of relief and went limp in his friends’ arms. 

Without the panic clouding his judgment he was quickly able to realize how stupid his worries probably were. Over the many weeks he’d spent in Kinoko his friends proved to him over and over again that they care, that they would not condemn him to the prison ever again. Unlike Puffy, who went back to fretting over the server’s beloved “child,” they stood by him and glared at the other two with disdain. 

Oh and what a sight the two made! It made Dream’s heart ache in all the worst ways. Puffy, his mom, was hugging the teen, asking if he’s okay over and over again. She didn’t even look at him, as if he was not even there. She moved on, she had her perfect new duckling. How could he compete with Tommy? Tommy was loved by everyone, he was- loud, annoying, bratty - he was Tommy. 

And what was Dream? A monster, tyrant, manipulator … he was twisted and dark, unfit for the nickname Puffy chose. And even if he wasn't all those things anymore … he was broken. Who would want something broken like him? It was logical that she moved on, found someone newer, better, worth her time. 

(oh no, blob is not having a good time! Hehe, fun. This chapter probably won't be out for at least a few weeks but I promised @mistythedritten some nice hurt blob so here he is! I might post another snipped at some point dunno yet :)
