Thinkin of naga batfam, and as it's a prompt there's legitimately no canon for what they are, but here's my takes on which sneks each of them would be based off of, if they are in fact based off of snakes from earth. And not like, the realm of the dead or another planet or something lol.

What would Danny be? Good question. Some ideas include puff adder, hognose snake (the ones that play dead), anaconda or calabar python

Is traditional Boidae (boas, pythons, Loxocemus, Casarea, etc.) monophyletic?
no, not at all. It's a shitshow.
Here is part of the phylogeny of squamates by Zheng & Wiens (2016).
Tumblr media
True pythons (Pythonidae) are sister to Loxocemidae (burrowing pythons), in turn sister to Xenopeltidae (sunbeam snakes)
On the other hand, Boidae in the broad sense (since very often treated as superfamily Booidea, with subfamilies treated as full families) is closest related to Calabariidae (Calabar 'python'). The relationships between Pythonidae+Loxocemidae+Xenopeltidae and Booidea+Calabariidae is not well resolved, and the Xenophidiidae and Bolyeriidae somehow get in the middle.
So, it is very likely that pythons and boas arrived at their morphological similarities rather independently. Which is especially impressive in lineages like Chondropython and Corallus, which are just unbelievably similar.
For other ramblings on a related topic, see this post about the lack of pythons in Madagascar

YES it’s their calabar python post from October 2021 on Instagram. Last slide says the python is “minor attracted and proud” because it eats baby rats and they illustrated a video thumbnail of it fondling babies in a cradle with the title “FUN WITH NEWBORNS - GRAPHIC”

Geno(Swap) Papyrus Lamia
Name: Calabar
Species: Calabar python(based on an albino morph)
Size: 14 - 20 feet total, 3 - 4 feet standing(fullsize) 20 - 35 inches total, 5 - 10 inches standing (mini) 20 - 35 feet total, 7 - 10 feet tall(bara)
Venom: No
Personality: Stubborn, clingy, laidback,
Likes: Naps, having his own space, good food, jokes/puns,
Dislikes: Pushy bitties/people, physical activity, constant load noises, being sick, aggressive bitties/people,
Compatibility: They can get sick more easily then other bitty types, and often need things to help get their magic level up,
They do well with Satyrs as they have excess magic in the wool/fur, though it is not required,
They can be a very jealous bitty but are not as bad with other Geno types, as they know they need proper care as well,
They have a soft spot for Swap Sans types(or Tale Papyrus/other bitties like them) and often open up faster with one around,
They like to make a very large nest(in proportion to them) and stay in it most of the time, and they often put it near a TV or window, just somewhere where they can have entertainment,
They prefer to have at least one nest in a more secluded area, for when they want to be alone,
They do ok in a house with/a destructive bittie as long as they respect others belongings,
Very iffy on physical contact with strangers, and with new owners, but once they are comfertable enough they can be very affectionate,
Feeding habits: They aren’t super pick but magical food is recommended, even if its snacks, Calabar's have a preference for honey covered/glazed things,
Additional info: They lack magic and this makes their ecto-body(tail) very pale, and this is why they appear to be an albino morph, those with more magic will have darker speckles, when at a normal level of magic they will be a darker color,(Note that this will not happen if they are an Albino morph! and with this it can be hard to tell the difference)
Zone: N/A, Inside
In Universe: They are seen as hard to care for and not a type many care for,
Difficulty: Intermediate
Features:
Main colors: Orange, brown,
Secondary colors: Orange, brown, tan, black,
Extra: N/A
Additional info: Speckled patters,

See The Python A Calabar Man Killed This Morning. Tags It “Blessed Weekend”
A Calabar based man has just killed a python this morning and apparently, it seems like a big blessing to the man and his family. In the Facebook post made by a lady, suspected to be the man’s wife or daughter, she tagged the python whose head has been cut off “blessed weekend”, meaning, d weekend don set be that.

I want a calabar boa so goddamn bad but they’re almost exclusively wild caught AND there isn’t sufficient data to assess the impact of the pet trade on wild populations IM SOOOOOOO MAD!!!!
And I have absolutely no experience with snake breeding so it’s not like I can try to help increase availability of captive bred specimens!!! They’re super shy and supposed to be at least somewhat difficult to breed...... which double sucks cause their clutch size is 1-3 eggs (good for small manageable breeding project, bad for replacing wild adults caught for the pet trade) I JUST NEED AN EXPERIENCED BREEDER IN THE NORTHEAST US TO START BREEDING THEM SO I CAN GET A CAPTIVE BABY
