Shhhhh, don't mention the Inquisitor's poncho.
Anyways I've needed a drawing of Inquisitor Cal still wearing his ponchos for months now and I've finally done more than just a doodle for it.

Concept: Inquisitor Cal Kestis finds Dagan Gera
Cal, who was taken by the Empire a couple years after Order 66, still very young, twisted into an Inquisitor just like Trilla.
Inquisitor Cal becoming more and more frustrated at the obvious power gap between Vader and the Inquisitors, wanting that kind of power but knowing he'll never be allowed to attain it, because the Empire wants to keep him and the other Inquisitors weaker than the Sith Lords so they can be controlled.
Inquisitor Cal following what may be as little as a rumor, finding himself on Koboh, and finding a High Republic Jedi, somehow alive after all these years. He wakes him to duel him—he’ll gain more glory for beating him in a duel than killing him in his bacta tank—but when the Jedi learns that the Order is dead, he embraces the Dark Side and bleeds his kyber crystal right in front of Cal and oh. Oh. This man is powerful. This man could make Cal powerful. More powerful than the Empire would ever let him become.
Cal with his eyes burning yellow as he betrays the Empire and swears fealty to Dagan. "You see what they have made me. Teach me your power, and I will help you destroy them."
Cal using his knowledge of the Empire’s technology and inner workings to give Dagan a tactical advantage, slicing into transmissions and falsifying access codes with ease.
Cal convincing Trilla to join them, offering her the same freedom and power he's found at Dagan's side, knowing she was taken young like him and how cunning and powerful she is even within the limits set by Vader and Palpatine. Cal and Trilla letting the other Inquisitors fall in battle, some by their own hands—all either too loyal to the Empire, or too weak for their quest.
Cal and Trilla and Dagan, each carrying a red saberstaff, the former Inquisitors' black armor replaced with golden robes like Dagan's. None of them are Jedi--they are something new in the galaxy, an unstoppable wave of destruction to their enemies. Rebel cells are pleased to see Imperials dying in droves, but just as afraid of these new players who have joined the game.
Cal and Trilla with wild, maniacal laughter on their lips as they kill Darth Vader. Who's stronger now, Vader!? WHO'S STRONGER NOW!?!?

❰❰ head kiss ❱❱ sender kisses receiver on the forehead - post calquisitor for ruby 🙂
keeping watch for a sniper wasn't simple. she had to be on constant guard for a flash of a lens. she'd snatched some sort of electronic view-finder from an unconscious trooper's helmet, scanning the surroundings for her. using the force next to the inquisitors hideout was like lighting a bright silver flare in a dark cave. her hand grips the "borrowed" blaster tighter as they make their way further into the tree-line. the building lifted out of sight as they made their way carefully down the steep incline. it was like any hill back on Patch 2.. except this was Kashyyyk.. way steeper hill. branches and rough leaves smack at her face as they gain momentum but the end was in sight. the end of the incline was approaching blindingly too fast.
" wooaaah okayyy ha! here we go.. here go."
she encourages ( mostly to herself ) legs sore and stiff from sitting in the interrogation chairs she still decides to roll. feet bumping into a root sends her tumbling the rest of the way like a log instead. her vision is rattled as she bounces off something hard scrapping against her leg and bringing her slide to a violent halt. ruby skids a few feet as the leaves and dirt cradle her.
" nngh here we don't.. i guess. why am i so clumsy at the worst times.. "
she huffs out. suddenly something soft makes her eyes shoot open. a familiar sensation of lips against her forehead. she sees Cal. after everything.. she made it deep enough to get him out. enough to find the light he had tucked so far away it was nearly gone when she had found him. nearly.
" hey... that's an unfair surprise attack. " her lips curve into a tired smile. / @jediliad

A lot of people seemed interested in my dark side AU, so I did a few doodles/sketches while thinking of some more ideas:
Cal is the Grand Inquisitor, but I’m still figuring out how that happens. I want to keep him ending up on Bracca, but maybe the death of Prauf sent him over the edge.
Bode is a Purge Trooper, working for the Inquisitors to protect Kata. He’s assigned to Cal as Cal’s personal guard, and so Cal gets scary dog privilege. (There is Spyscrapper in this AU).
Ezra is picked up by the crew of the Ghost, but the trap to capture them is set by Cal instead of Kallus. Zeb leaves Ezra behind and the Ghost leaves, and Cal uses Ezra’s fear of abandonment to twist him to the Dark. Ezra is very powerful and Cal senses it immediately, taking him on as an apprentice.
Because I also ship Trizra, I’m working on getting Tristan in there too. Seeing as when we meet him he’s working for the Empire already, I’ll probably build on that.
Also, the Ghost crew did go back for Ezra, but he was gone by the time they got back.
Also thinking of having Kallus, Thrawn, and Eli in there as Rebels.
Thanks for reading!
