Ranking Catwomans Costumes

1. Batman (1960s)

I love this. I love it. Fight me. Julie Newmar, Lee Meriwether, and Eartha Kitt have all donned this version of the catsuit. It’s sexy without being overbearing. There’s glitter (!!) and the makeup is fun, retro and campy. This has always been my favorite iteration of catwoman and I’m currently working on this costume, so stay tuned 🐈

2. The Dark Knight Rises (2012)

I love Anne Hathaway, she’s not my favorite catwoman actress, but I really like her costume. It’s very sleek and as far as catsuits go it looks pretty comfortable. My favorite aspect of this look is the practicality shoes aside the leather looks easy to move in and her cat ears are functional!!!

3. Batman Returns (1992)

I know everyone loves Michelle’s catsuit, but it’s never really done it for me. There’s just something about the stitches being placed that don’t need stitches, like why would she take the time to hand stitch those? It is made by someone having a breakdown tho The corset also fits a little weird to me and it would limit her movement. But I love the shape of the mask and whip is fun.

4. The Batman (2022)

I really like Zoe’s catsuit, comparatively it’s a little boring. The fit is perfect! I like the belt and choker details on the catsuit and her shoes are more functional than most. She has a whip – that’s fun! I love Zoe’s hair and makeup. The only thing I don’t like is the mask, I get it but it’s not my favorite.

5. Catwoman (2004)

Halle’s beautiful and that’s about all this look has going for it.

6. Gotham (2014-2019)

Sorry if you love Gotham but that ain’t catwoman. I’m fine with making a costume more practical but this how I used to dress in high school and nothing about to says catwoman.

4. Camren Bicondova & David Mazouz in 'Gotham' 'Gotham' changed the formula for Batman by moving everyone's timeline up. Instead of meeting Selina Kyle as an adult, a young Bruce meets the street kid Selina Kyle when she's just a teen. Although, obviously, they're not nearly as overtly flirtatious as the other [iterations] on this list, they develop a surprisingly deep and emotional bond with each other. Selina is there when Bruce's parents are killed, they develop crushes on each other, they share a sweet kiss, she schools him on what it's like not to be a rich kid, he offers her a place to stay in his mansion. It's a great twist on the Bat and Cat by having them grow up together.
