Missa and Luismi.

Luismi best capybara. I forgot about this stream.

They were looking for the village of the capybaras, the capy lost their memory and missa was helping them. missa gave them the name Luis Miguel (another famous singer (I am going to see him in september aaaaaah!)) so they decided the name Luismi.

They were walking and there were different things on the island.

M: "I think you and me are in the same circumstances, I don't remember this, I don’t even know if i still have a home."

L: "where do you live?"

M: "ah, I'm not even sure. I used to be like a tick to someone, but I am not sure if he is still here."

L: "I used to had a best friend too"

...

L: "Did you had a family?"

M: "eh, something like that, but basically I was a coward and abandoned them"

L: *no* "You are awesome, maybe you went for milk"

M: *Laughs* "yeah, basically, is a shame that I cameback to the island and I didn't bring anything"

M: "I wonder if they are still fighting/mad, a few things happened the last time I came."

M: "there was a person that used to take care of me."

M: "yeah that guy was a very good person, he did everything to help me, I didn't do anything for myself, but he came and gave me everything, food, a roof, that guy was awesome. There came a time were we had to take responsability for an egg, the best egg on the entire island, I have been really absent that I don't even know if he is ok, I don't even know if he is alive, can you belive that? I am the worst father in the world."

M: "so maybe I can turn into a capybara and go live with you in the village"

...

M: "I hope philza is ok, the last thing I knew is that someone or something kidnapped him in the maze" (OK, so we're making it canon that "something" tells missa about things that happen to people close to him)

L: "who is philza?"

M: "oh luismi, he is the best islander of the island, is the person that wouldn't doubt on helping anyone in the island, a person with a perception of justice, so brave, so handsome. I would like you to meet him."

One day philza and chay randomly found the place where this conversation happened.

...

M: "I like your hat luismi, it reminds me of 'the number one'"

L: "you are the number one, missa"

M: "I don't think so luismi, things have changed, but I'll try to be better. I'll do the possible to deserve to be in this island"

...

L: "you know, missa? I think we were meant to meet each other"

...

They arrived to the village.

M: "maybe this is a nice/pretty place to find a new home"

L: "maybe you can find your home soon"

M: "yeah maybe, but sometimes it doesn't matter the place but with who"

...

M: "guys, would you accept me for a while here in the village?"

Capys: *yes*

M: "really? The truth is that I don't have were to go. I used to live with someone but I am not sure if they are ok, and I need a place to rest while I search for him and make sure he is ok. Thank you, I know I can count on you."

Missa leave his mini-me in the old house and leave a sign for philza. Then off-stream bbh convinced him to live in the basement.

(In this stream missa was speaking very quiet so it sounds a little sad.)

yeah fuck it foolish is pro-federation. theyre the one group that hasnt hurt him or his family (besides the capybaras) and gave him things to care about. if cellbit getting chased once with a chainsaw was enough to make him anti-fed, being emotionally and physically tortured by the islanders is enough to make foolish anti-islander. the codes/resistance attacked all the people he loves and cares about, and killed many of them, so why would he join them. his friends make him the butt of the joke and leave him out of important conversations - even before he was trying to work for the federation. cellbit repeatedly forgot that foolish was a founding member of the theory bros and ignored his efforts to continue helping the investigations. yeah the islanders can compliment his builds but their actions speak more than their words. even foolish going to help cellbit when he was in self-exile and isolated from all his friends and family was later revealed to only have been a test to see who was pro-federation and not seen as someone trying to be there as a friend, despite alliances. if people actually paid attention to his actions and not his words, they would see he takes a lot of precautions when the eggs were around, and was always looking out for them and keeping them safe; not only leo but all of the eggs. so why not. the eggs are gone, his family is gone, his friends dont trust him, theres no consequences.

Foolish has been like this since before any of this. And Foolish literally is one of if not the first islander to try and befriend/ally with the code. Also the Order isn't allied with the resistance. Foolish doesn't even know about it. What does that have to do with anything

And the federation has hurt his family. Both directly and indirectly. Unless the awful grief Leo has gone through over Trump or the constant stress she lives under due to the risk they pose to the islanders is nothing? Unless their dangerous living conditions is nothing?

also like. The torture. lets talk about this. Because qFoolish isn't bothered by this in any real sense. Both Bad and Foolish have stated it's pretty typical for them. They'd do it pre island and on the island. The people who are mad about it are the fans, not the character. And once again he was already a fed supporter before this in the first place.

As someone who was around during the founding of the theory bros, Foolish didn't and doesn't care. Cellbit includes him all the time when talking about this, especially back before Foolish became even more heavily pro fed.

If Foolish doesn't want to be the butt of the joke, he's at full capability to sit his friends down and ask them to stop. Instead he goes along with it and purposefully makes himself out to be. Because he's joking and having fun with his friends.

I know people project their feelings onto him and make him out to be bothered by this stuff or even make him out to be a victim when he's not but like. Please look at what the character actually cares about.

Also they include him in so many important convos, despite the fact that he's literally against them in many ways. It's literally the opposite situation 😭

Foolish went to help Cellbit in self exile because he wanted an excuse to start another build. He wasn't at all bothered by Cellbit secretly not being pro fed (it would be bad if he was??) and Cellbit's isolation was real either way. Please go back and listen to that conversation between the two of them about this.

The trust he's lost is entirely his own fault and his own actions. And yet they still include him and treat him as a friend even when doing so puts them at risk. This narrative of him being excluded and outcasted and bullied by islanders is fanon characterization

Personal tag of the week

“the happenings” is my tag for all internet platform bullshit. This week, it’s Tumblr, as CEO Matt Mullenweg lost his shit and started harassing a trans user (including on another platform). This is a factual explanation early in the week of what happened and how it started: 

predstrogen (the first blog) was allegedly deleted for “sexually explicit material” despite any posts that may have been labelled as such being marked with a community label and her blog recently being manually approved as NOT containing adult content. she also talks in this post, as well as here, about how she has had a support ticket open for several months for harassment she was receiving that has not been dealt with

the CEO of tumblr made a post wherin he publicly aired information regarding her deletion and threatened legal action against her , showing examples of the alleged death threats where no actual threats were made and telling people in the replies to just leave if they were unhappy with the moderation of the site

Specifically, he was upset by the expressed wish that he perish in a car covered in hammers that would explode multiple times, a serious threat that could surely come to fruition in reality. If you can't tell that I'm being sarcastic, congratulations, you're CEO material.

It spiraled from there, but suffice it to say, it ended with trans employees posting on the Staff account (reblog here with commentaries):

The reality of predstrogen’s suspension was not accurately conveyed, and made it seem like we were reaching for opportunities to ban trans feminine people on the platform. This is not the case. The example comment shared in the post linked above does not meet our definition of a realistic threat of violence, and was not the deciding factor in the account suspension. Matt thereafter failed to recognize the harm to the community as a result of this suspension. Matt does not speak on behalf of the LGBTQ+ people who help run Tumblr or Automattic, and we were not consulted in the construction of a response to these events.

While the post is sincerely emotional and brave, the real chess move is this part:

We appreciate the space we have been given to express our concerns and dissent, and we are thankful that Matt’s (and Automattic’s) strong commitment to freedom of expression has facilitated it. We will continue to fight to make Tumblr safe for us all.

Matt Mullenweg now either has to nod and go, “Yeah, yeah... I’m a great guy committed to freedom...” Or he can, I don’t know, shut the site down in a fit of defiant pique? All I’m going to say about this is that the day all this first went down, I started archiving any posts I’d put significant effort into last year, and I’ll be crossposting them on Dreamwidth and Patreon. I don’t want to lose Tumblr’s culture and unique platform--I mean, I think the Weekend Links themselves make a case for the fact that there is nothing else like Tumblr on the internet. And shutting down is not even necessarily the most likely outcome--but I’m not gonna be caught unprepared, either.

Hello Everyone!

First, I want to say thank you to everyone because... we still have a fandom! When I participated in this event in 2021, many wondered if we'd still be here in 2022. Then, in 2022, I really didn't think we'd make it to 2023, but look at us! We may be small and imperfect, but I am happy to still have each of you to share my crazy hyperfixations with!

I always get stressed out with these events because I'm sure I'll leave someone out, and it's not my intent (I just have wicked ADHD!) I will have more shoutouts to make after work later today, but I didn't want to go to bed tonight without sharing a little love for some of my supporters throughout this past year. You have no idea how much I appreciate you taking the time to read, comment, and give feedback on my silly fics.

Some of us may talk more than others, but trust me, you're always seen and always appreciated. Speaking of CoP, it was a real gamble when I decided to write for the incomparable Trystan Thorne this year. Given that our fandom is not always... nice... it was so scary. But some of you provided such kind feedback. It really encouraged me to keep going, and I'm so glad I did. I love the story, and I love us sharing it together.
