Caregiver Oogie Boogie Headcanons (The Nightmare Before Christmas)

I had always planned on doing Jack’s headcanons today, and it only made sense to post these ones at the same time. Suggested by @buttercupagere

His lair is filled with fascinating things; giant decks of cards, animatronic slot machines, medieval devices of sinister nature - it’s a fantastic place to play! (And he makes sure you never get into any real danger.)

He loves playing games of chance with you - card games, dice games, Bingo, Pie Face, Pop the Pig… Any game that relies solely on luck is one he likes to play. (And he still finds ways to cheat, and encourages you to do the same.)

He’s a surprisingly good cook, and makes you tasty meals. You do occasionally find bugs swimming in your food, but it’s fine - they’re clean.

(On that note, you tend to find bugs in lots of places; keeping an eye on you, or trying to play.)

He’s not a very strict caregiver and gives you a lot of freedom. You’re allowed to run pretty wild in the “house” above his lair.

There are absolutely no rules on how much candy is “too much”.

He lets you decorate whatever you want with blacklight paint - including yourself!

Baths and washing and cleaning? All overrated. Pointless, really. None of that nonsense on his watch.

He’s the best tickler, and always makes you burst into laughter.

When he’s busy, the skeletons in his lair take over as babysitters. They’re a bit more firm on rules because they don’t want to make Oogie angry, but they’re still fun to play with.

"Bun bun, come here! I wanna show you something."

Bunny ran into the room their caregiver was in.

"What is it, Bubby?" They asked excitedly. Then, something popped on little Bunny's nose. They gasped.

"I got you bubbles! Here you go, my sweet."

Bunny took the bubble wand happily and waved it around, creating more bubbles.

"I am now the bubble ruler! And with my magic bubble wand i make you...bubble knight!" They giggled and blew bubbles at the carer.

"I will protect you with my life, oh great leader of the bubble kingdom." The caregiver bowed then looked up.

"But what should i do without a noble steed to help me?"

"Hmm you're right," Bunny put their hand to their face in a thinking gesture, "this calls for some serious bubble magic"

The little lifted the bubble wand and started spinning while making sound efffects with their mouth. Finally, they stopped.

"Powered up, time for a horsie spell!" Bunny closed their eyes and said a chant.

"Oogie boogie, bubble wand, give me a horsie!" They waved the wand one final time before looking at their carer.

"Thank you, kind leader. We can now ride off into the sunset." The caregiver grabbed their little and picked them up for a piggyback ride. Bunny squealed and giggled as they held on to their caregiver. The two played until bunny started to get sleepy

"I think it's nap time now, huh bun bun." The carer said. Bunny only yawned in response. The caregiver picked up their little and brought them to bed.

"I love you, my little bunny." The caregiver kissed the littles' forehead.

"I love you too, Bubby."

"I'm not scared," Virgil insists, trying desperately not to stick his thumb in his mouth. Lo gives him a look, summoning his bat pacifier out of thin air and handing it to him. He pops it in his mouth with relief.

"It's all right if you are, you know," Dee says, carding his ungloved fingers through Virgil's hair. "You're allowed to be scared."

"Not scared," Virgil says, taking out his paci and bouncing on the couch cushion. "It's jus' Nightmare 'fore Christmas. Not scary."

"If you insist," Dee says, with a dramatic flair that makes Virgil burst into giggles and kick his socked feet against the couch. He's wearing his skeleton onesie and (appropriately enough) Nightmare Before Christmas-patterned socks. A bat plushie is securely tucked into the crook of one arm.

It's taken a while to get to this point. He used to regress in the dimness of his own room, terrified and alone. He would color by himself sometimes, sprawled out on the purple carpet, but more often than not, he would spend the entire time cocooned miserably in his own blankets, thumb tucked in his mouth and tears slipping down his cheeks.

Then Dee found out. At first, Virgil was terrified that Dee would make fun of him, but to his surprise, their relationship when he was big never changed. And Dee always came up with the best games.

Lo discovered his regression by accident one day, walking in to discuss Thomas's schedule and finding Virgil flopped on his bed, having an animated conversation with his stuffed animals. They were already boyfriends, but Lo was happy to become his caregiver as well, joining Dee Dee in the job.

Virgil still doesn't like to regress around the others (although they technically know), but this is fine, crammed together on the couch in Deceit's room to watch movies.

The Oogie Boogie Man appears on the screen and Virgil whimpers slightly around his pacifier. He's not scared, he tells himself. He's not, but he knows what's under the Oogie Boogie Man's burlap covering, and he knows what he's going to do, he's going to kidnap Mister Sandy Claws and- and-

His whimpering grows loud enough to attract the attention of both Lo and Dee, who exchange a look over Virgil's head. He can feel it, like a beacon, as they settle closer, cuddling him in the middle like an ice cream sandwich with extra sprinkles. Dee drops a kiss on the crown of his head.

"It's all right," he soothes, his voice a slight hiss. "Don't worry, little storm cloud. He gets his in the end."

"Dee is right," Lo joins in, tucking Virgil securely against him. "Everything will be fine."

"Are you sure?" Virgil asks around his pacifier, his words muffled. They both understand him fine, as several of Dee's arms go round his back, and the others drape across his stomach.

"Perfectly sure," Dee reassures him. "Mister Sandy Claws and Jack will be just fine."

"Kay," Virgil says, relaxing a little into their touch. He watches the action on the screen avidly, the light flickering across his face.

By the time the movie has begun to wind down, he's yawning, his eyelids drooping.

"Methinks someone is ready for a nap," Dee murmurs, with a chuckle.

"No!" Virgil says, suddenly wide awake. "No nap! What if Oogie Boogie Man gets me?"

"He'll have to go through me first," Dee says, his yellow eye glittering.

"And me," Lo adds. "You have nothing to fear, little bat. I promise." Virgil considers their words, squishing his bat plushie to his chest.

"'Kay," he decides. "But you nap, too."

"I'm fine with that," Dee says. "What about you, Logan?"

"A nap sounds like it would be beneficial, yes," Lo says. "It's settled then."

With a snap of his fingers, Dee transforms the couch into a bed. Virgil snuggles up between the both of them, a huge yawn overtaking him.

"Night night," he says between yawns. "Love you, Dee Dee. Love you, Lo Lo."

"We love you, too, storm cloud," Dee says, giving his cheek a gentle kiss. "Good night."

Virgil falls asleep almost instantly. His dreams are filled with skeletons and patchwork girls, but the Oogie Boogie Man is nowhere in sight.

Well, his friends pass most of the week in the covenrence, but Twyla is the one who have to host and deal with their children. Some 'Oogie Boogies'. Jupno, Nepto, Pluto del Tartaros, sons of a Cerberus. Gillian Gohen, daughter of a Golem. Scarina Flapper, daughter of European Dragons. Frida Frightmare, hija de un Cucuy. 1/6 💀 Twyla is a pretty calm and caregiving ghoul, but having to deal with six monsters in her house is exausting, and the ghouls at Monster High noticed, but the real surprise was seeing Twyla sleeping in a class, something was going on. Twyla told about the Oogie Boogies, The Del Tartaros are really sweet when they are okay with each other, but they always fight when they desagree, Gillian is the only one who helps Twyla with the homework, and that she didn't had a good relationship with Scarina because of the ASOME and Frida for a lot of reasons. These are my ratties Sebastian (black) and Oogie Boogie. We originally got Oogie after one of my last males Bruce died and left his cage mate Artie alone. Unfortunately Artie rreeallyy disliked Oogie and they couldn't live together. Artie has since past as well. Poor Oogie was all alone and I knew it was affecting his health, he needed a friend. @northernvibeson surprised me with little baby Sebastian on my 21st birthday. He was sooo small when we got him and I was worried about how big, old blind man Oogie would take to a baby rat invader... Well they were introduced and he instantly decided that this little baby was his baby and that he was his daddy. It was the cutest thing ever and they have been like father and son ever since. Now that Oogie is getting older and is blind Sebastian has taken on a caregiver role to his aging rat daddy and it is precious! Hello! I'm very interested in the Disney Caregiver Headcanons you're doing. They sound absolutely adorable.

If it's alright and possible, can I ask for Headcanons of Oogie Boogie from The Nightmare Before Christmas as a caretaker?

It’s been a while since I posted these but here’s my cg!Oogie Boogie headcanons!!
