Just learned about the first cat launched into space, and I’m genuinely distraught that any article about this cat, Félicette, talks about her “grand achievement” while completely ignoring the abuse she suffered at the hands of scientists. Sure, they’ll describe some of it, but it’s in the view of, “This cat is amazing and went to space!” instead of, “Humans picked her up off the street, abused her, sent her to space which she could obviously not consent to, and then only let her live a few months after.” This also largely ignores the other cats they abused, and subsequently killed in their testing. I don’t care if it got France to join the space race in the 60s. Animals shouldn’t be treated like that. One article mentioned there were maybe some “hazy ethical problems,” and it’s like, where is it hazy, hmm? Where? It’s literally glaringly filled to the brim with ethical problems. I know I can’t change the past, but I know cats have been getting abused more than some other animals since the 1300s thanks to the Pope at the time, and I’m so done with people not caring about cats. They still go through terrible abuse today. Some things have not fucking changed, huh? Be good to cats, for the love of god.

It’s established within the first few paragraphs of Tyrion’s pov after the wedding that that’s a terrified 12 year old prisoner of war child bride who’s fooling a whole, grown husband and the entire red keep that she’s a little too devotional and absolutely not plotting her freedom in a fortress full of spies, soldiers and noble powerhouses, that too successfully. She’s not concerned that Tyrion’s peas are overcooked, she’s deliberately trying to put up an act so that her cover isn’t blown. She’s outsmarted Tyrion Lannister of all people, and you can die mad about it.

In all their arguments, Nightcloud is the only one who ever gets physical with Crow. In the books, she rakes her claws against him a few times drawing blood. If I had been young Breeze and had seen that it'd be one of the things that would make me do my best to be and stay in my mother's good graces. Yeah, my dad may smack me but he never cuts me, never leaves me open for death by infection.
