I binged watched part 2 of The Glory and I have THOUGHTS and OPINIONS but overall liked part 2 a ton, really need Song Hye-kyo and Jung Sung Il to be in another drama where they get to fuck nasty tho saw someone say a spy thing and now all I can think about is a Korean remake of Mr and Mrs Smith staring them

anyway thoughts and opinions, obviously spoilers and some unpopular opinions to boot:

so like, off the bat I am firmly neutral on the JYJ and MDE romance. Sorry y’all. I thought some of their romantic moments were just out of place tonally in the show - the fondue scene especially with the standard kdrama romance music playing, the running hug scene, both come to mind - I wished the show leaned into the dark romance aspects more. Like, my issue with JYJ is he’s way way way more interesting when he’s unhinged and covered in blood. But the show seemed determined to make him a “green flag” which is a term I’m growing increasingly eye-rolly with in fandom which made him way more boring and also inconsistent.

I was actually salty he didn’t get to stab anyone! Why tease me with a murder knife drawer and not do anything with it??? His best moment was when he put PYJ under and was so wonderfully creepy and intimidating. That was peak. That was his best moment for me in part 2 and the rest was kinda...meh? I didn’t want him to be cutely romantic I wanted him to be secretly unhinged!! Him being a ~green flag~ was meh his other best moment of the show was his monologue to his father’s murderer. Literally one of the best moments of the show and 100% his best moment as a character. I wanted more of THAT and less of him simping after MDE tbh.

That said, I’m not like against their romance or anything it’s just firmly - fine. It’s fine.

I’m also very meh/eye-rolling over the concept of a woman being a man’s savior and salvation. I find that trope really boring tbh

It was nice to see MDE have a partner in crime, and I did like the tent scene with them. I think if there’s fic written if it’s fluff squeecore fic I’ll pass but I’d love a take on them that embraced the darker aspects of YJY’s character. Like dude was an obsessed stalker - which is another reason this green flag thing is weird to me - after spending like what 3 months with MDE if she didn’t like him and also wasn’t a bit unhinged herself he’d be a horror movie char lol like he moved entire ass cities to be closer to her without telling her and lied to her about knowing So-Hee’s mom all in a longcon effort to get closer to her like embrace the unhinged!

Anyways

We didn’t get much of HDY and MDE this part but know what, I really liked how subtle their relationship was tbh like HDY taking off his shoes before entering her home was a peak moment for me. It’s subtle, but it was a bit of kindness that was so often and so thoroughly denied MDE repeatedly. And obviously that meant a lot to her b/c she was willing to drop her whole ass extended revenge plot and give PYJ a chance to turn herself in. I liked that he didn’t immediately divorce PYJ too b/c it gave him all the opportunity to slowly and symmetrically tear her apart emotionally.

Like, PYJ realized she actually loved this man, so knowing that MDE got into his head and heart - I loved that he basically admitted yeah he had an emotional affair with her - was clearly so damaging for her ego. And that’s what PYJ cares about most, her ego, her image, her self-preservation. And I loved how HDY tore that down every chance he got. He knows about her affair, he knows HYS true parentage, he knows all her little secrets and when she tries to defend herself he gives her rope to hang herself with it. And she does b/c of course she does!! Oh it was great.

It shows that PYJ’s idea of love is possession. She’s mad HDY cheated on her, without considering her years long affair with JJJ. She loves her daughter, but not enough to take TWO, TWO different chances to actually protect her daughter (sidenote loved that both MDE and HDY gave PYJ two different chances to take responsibility for her action and make amends and both times she spat in their faces) and she denied them.

Also what the heck is up with the fact that Mr “Who Should I Kill For You First” didn’t kill a single bitch but HDY killed one of the MAIN bitches??? Like, I loved it but what the heck??? That said would’ve really liked a follow up or sideways scene where MDE gave HDY the info on JJJ and that she knew~ he killed JJJ. I think they should’ve had a final scene together like that b/c it didn’t make much sense to me how JJJ got out of that car accident and ended up at that construction site where HDY followed and killed him after. Plus it didn’t make sense to me that MDE wouldn’t have kept tabs on JJJ and would have left his fate ambiguous like that. He was the one most loyal to PYJ and probably the only person who wouldn’t abandon her in the long run so like, that felt like a weird missing piece to the ending.

I’m glad PYJ didn’t die tho, I’m kinda meh on main villains always dying tbh sometimes it really works - like JJJ’s death - but other times it feels like an easy out for them. I’m glad she’s in prison suffering especially not knowing one of the people she killed she actually didn’t. Knowledge that MDE can hold over her forever. I loved that I loved that was PYJ’s endgame.

All that said, I wish the show incorporated more of the publics viewing of PYJ in her downfall. I think The Devil Judge and Hellbound did this way better with how social media and the news really influence the public perception. We got that one news conference and that was it but like I wanted more. I wanted to see more of the public takedown of the crew and have all the victims smiling as they listen to the gossip and chatter around them.

Everyone’s fates were pretty dope though. KHN was a highlight, so glad her husband is dead, she didn’t forgive his ass in the end, and she’s happier now. She’s one of the best characters of the show, the way she flourished and grew - that SLAP she gave PYJ like no one topped that - was just amazing to see. HDY and his adorable daughter going to UK was so earned (made no sense but earned), the crew’s different deaths like loved that for all of them hahahah suffer. Glad MDE found happiness and fulfilment at the end with YJY.

My last and only quibble with the finale was two things: 1) I wanted a follow up scene with Soo-Hee’s mom and MDE I think this was a hugely missed opportunity tbh like for MDE to tell SH’s mom we got them all not just PYJ but all of them went down you’re daughter can rest now. I was really disappointed we didn’t get this. 2) I really disliked how the last 20/30mins was dedicated to like a long set-up of a potential s2 about YJY’s revenge. Idk this was MDE’s story and it felt like the ending stopped being about her and became about an ad to watch a potential s2. It dragged on and on and I felt there were other things we could’ve explored instead to really wrap MDE’s story up completely.

Overall, hands down one of the best kdramas I’ve watched and a high fave.

TEN Q’S:

1. when are you usually online? I’m most active weekday evenings, EST! I have a full-time (and then some) 9-5 job so when I’m here in the afternoons, I’m either working from home or just liking/sending on mobile. I’m much more of a night owl than an early bird though, but I try not to do any real thread writing after 2 AM or so. I never write anything good after 2 AM.

2. what verses are you involved in outside of this page? Most of my AUs take place on this page, but I’ve gone back and forth on restarting my Fujiko Mine blog again. I think Fujiko, like most of the other muses I’ve written, I tend to want to write in specific scenarios/against specific character types only. Unlike with Sonia, where it’s far easier and more interesting for me to adapt her to different verses and situations.

3. what is your biggest RP pet peeve? Formatting pet peeves aside (super small text and putting multiple spaces between words), my biggest RP pet peeve is this:

Asking for meme starters/starter calls, never replying to said starters, and asking for more starters. While never communicating feedback or constructive criticism about what would make a thread or interaction more appealing and/or engaging, or answering memes/asks I send.

This is one of the main reasons I’ll simply drop a writing partner. I never mind redoing introductions or working together with a mun to plot an interaction we both want to write! But I do mind being constantly asked for starters and having them never be turned into threads.

On the other hand, one of my lesser pet peeves are very quick replies, and this is entirely a ‘it’s not you, it’s me’ issue. Mainly, I like to keep three habits when roleplaying: 1. replying to all of my active threads in a consistent and timely fashion, 2. replying to all current threads before taking on new starters/memes and 3. taking time away from the dash to read/watch/play different things in order to take a breather, think about where I want interactions to go, and get ideas. That’s harder for me to do when muns reply quickly (I usually say 48 hours or less, but I’ll say 24 hours or less here. I’m still a slow but steady writer!), and that’s entirely on me and my habits.

My way of addressing it is, in this situation, I won’t queue my replies in the order I receive threads: I try to space out replies for muns who reply very fast with muns who reply a bit more slowly, so I’m not overwhelmed with a bunch of replies at once. I try not to be the mun who takes on too many asks and threads and then has to drop them.

4. are you drawn to specific types of muses? When I was a younger writer in RP, it was usually badass women with weapons and femme fatales (aka. I’ve had Fujiko as a muse for a long time! Just not on tumblr). In the past 5-8 years? Definitely young ladies with Rich People Problems: Sybil Crawley/Branson, Veronica Lodge, and now Sonia Nevermind. If I could’ve ever figured out how to play a Persona game, I probably would’ve picked up Haru Okumura by now. Mostly though, I love writing Rich People Problems: royals, high society, just plain wealthy, etc.

5. are there recurring themes in your writing that people might not notice? Tbh I don’t really think any of my themes are that hidden, per se? Though one I do hope to emphasize in my long-term interactions, especially in Sonia’s older verses, is how much less black-and-white she sees her parents. As a teenager, she really does believe her father can do no wrong and all of the ill will in their unhappy marriage is due to her mother and her attitude and many affairs. The older she becomes, the more she’s able to recognize her mother and father in shades of gray. Her father has made plenty of mistakes and, the more she can come to understand what her mother has experienced, the more she can come to understand her behavior, especially towards her.

6. what are your favorite RP trends? I love the silly “character has appeared what to do?” meme so much. I know charts and quizzes are fun and all, but I get burned out on those. But this meme? This meme will always lead to quick and fun interactions, particularly with muses and muns I’m already threading with.

And I love info pages and carrds on tumblr, preferably linked to a pinned post. I’m on mobile a lot these days, especially at work, and if a blog follows me without their info in a pinned post I likely can’t follow back until I get on my computer and look at their blog there. This is my plea to please make your rules/muses/mun pages mobile-accessible! I’m not a fan of google docs for info, though: only interest checkers. Because they are a challenge to read on mobile.

7. what is your process for starting a new story with someone?

Yeah, you get the drill. :) Listen, I like memes for several reasons: 1. I can often get an idea of the tone of the thread the other mun is looking to write based on the prompt. 2. a muse and/or verse will be attached to it if the blog is a multi. I rarely do starter calls because, in the past, my starters often get ignored and I’m not a fan of greeter posts.

Beyond memes, I also like plotting OOC here or on discord for threads. That ensures that both muns are interested and engaged in the plot, and that any godmodding/toe-stepping questions can be addressed before interactions begin.

I’m not the best with unprompted IC asks though, especially those turned into threads. I’m notorious for misunderstanding asks, particularly if they’re related to pop culture I’m unfamiliar with (Sonia and I have a few things in common...), and it can be awkward for everyone involved.

8. how do you feel about duplicates? I don’t mind other takes on my muse at all. She’s a canon muse from a popular franchise and it’s to be expected, but I also know that not everyone will like the way I write Sonia. She’s canon-divergent with a lot of headcanons and history regarding her family, her culture, and her country. That, and my preferred writing style and dynamics, may very well not appeal to everyone. And that’s just fine! Every interpretation of her is valid and if a mun doesn’t like one mun’s style of writing and interpreting her, they can write with another.

What I do mind are twin verses and long-lost relatives, for one of the points listed above: I have a lot of headcanons and lore about Sonia, plenty that I haven’t even shared in headcanon posts or threads yet, and I both keep to those headcanons and evolve them when I wish to. Twin and relative verses don’t really account for that, and the closest thing I’ve got to a twin verse is Sonia’s Vampire!AU anyway, where I’d write both the past and present Sonia.

I also mind stealing headcanons. Don’t do it. It’s bad form. I try not to follow solo Sonia blogs just so there’s little possibility of this happening but if she’s on your multi, I don’t mind.

9. how long have you been involved in roleplaying? I started in either 1999 or 2000. I’m aware that I’ve been roleplaying longer than some muns on this site have been alive, and I don’t intend on stopping anytime soon :)

10. is there a muse or verse you wish you could write in, but haven’t?

.....Bridgerton AU!

Now that I’ve gotten that out of my system (muses in a Bridgerton world, Bridgerton muses themselves, YES GOOD. If you’ve been here for awhile, this is probably old news but I can’t not mention it!), I’d like to explore more historical AUs, particularly anything mid-18th Century onward. My reasoning for this is entirely due to the available history/tech/arts from then on. I’m not great with high fantasy components, but more urban fantasy concepts are mostly fine with me. Just don’t expect Sonia to have magic powers.

In a very, very specific sort of plot, I’d be interested in a time-travel story, too.

Otherwise, I like exploring Danganronpa muses post-high school: college aged, high school reunions, etc. The reunion plot, especially in a Non-Despair context, can be particularly fun!

And finally: give me your otome muses for threads. @dangaer and @hitobanju, I’m looking at you. If and when you are wanting to thread some long-term interactions...gimme. DiaLovers, Piofiore, and Cupid Parasite scream the loudest for crossovers right now but I’m getting pretty fluent in otome.

My counterpart is a part of the said group, that time i'm not completely aware of what is happening. Up until the dark seer ( capricorn guy na arabo) he came in between sa connection ko, particularly isa sya sa brotherhood and isa sa mga gumawa ng kwento and nangbrainwashed to my counterpart.

It was supposed to be an actual relationship between me and my real partner ( ex ko na ngayon) then yang guy na arabo yung kabet ni N, gusto nya magkaroon muna ng sexaul relationship towards me and him. I suspect may certain practice sila sa religion ( kulto nga ata) nila or kapatiran na since involved sakanila ung counterpart ko bago nila i allow ung ex ko dapat dumaan muna ako sakanila. So basically bugaw ang ganap. Malandi yung lalakeng arabo, then nung tumanggi ako kasi ofcourse that time ang mahal ko ung partner ko, doon sya nagstart manira and yun na met nya along those time period si N na super self proclaimed na bestfriend ko daw at silang dalawa ung nagtulungan na gumawa ng kwento.

Yun siniraan nila ako, then ofcourse mga uto uto 🤣😭😂 naniwala naman kayo. ( Char pero totoo yan 😂) nung sila na ung mag allied to made a gossip about me they have a sexual relationship si N ginagalaw ni arabo, then si arabo na brainwashed nya ung partner ko so naghiwalay kami dahil sa argument.

Tapos ung arab guy ulit, minanipulate nya ung ex partner ko na mabait daw si N, ganito ganyan daw, at marami pang iba na diko knows kasi ginawaan na nga nila ng kwento, pinush nya yung si Gold digger N, kasi mayaman ung ex partner ko, and sumang ayon na magpagalaw sakanya ( like parang bayaran) pero more on kahoots and connection rather than official relationship ( may wife rin yung arab guy.)

Then ayun since may sexual connection sila, nabuntis is N, sa anak nila ng arabo, and by that time naging sila na ng ex partner ko. Even though sila na, may secret affair parin sila ng arab guy ( so technically kabet sya ni N) at inuuto nila ung ex partner ko na anak nilang dalawa ni N yung bata even though the child is really from sertac because of their sexaul relationship prior to the relationship that he had with my ex partner.

Question for all of the cast: What would everyone want to wear to their wedding? I'm in a sappy mood and I need that shit injected straight into my veins right now

(Also not me sending in an ask a little bit ago explaining Bo-yeon's pronouns and then completely forgetting that xe doesn't use they/them pronouns in the ask about movies. My jester hat jingles.)

Bo-yeon is one of those people who loves seeing xir partner happy. Even if xe doesn't get it, xe loves to see xir partner happy. And no worries, you've realised your mistake and apologised which is great, thank you!

As for your ask (which is very very exciting, I love it);

Matt would be boring, just a black or navy suit with a pocket square or tie in the wedding theme colours.

Eve would have a full length dress in a simple cut which is impeccably tailored, likely unfussy in terms of embellishments in the body of the dress but with details she loves like a very extra sleeve shape, or hundreds if buttons up the back.

Alex would probably go for a suit but in a cosy texture like a velvet or corduroy. An autumnal colour like a dark green, purple or red would be their choice.

Jordan would definitely go for something colourful and in a cut that skims their body and makes their long limbs look great. The most important thing to them would be their hair styling, which would likely be wearing it natural but immaculately.

Char would go for something unusual I think. They would feel that suits aren't interesting enough for them, even if it was checked or something similar and a jacket would be a no go. I imagine they'd go a bit glam rock in style, with a black billowy shirt and tight trousers.

Bo-yeon would focus on textures for a suit as well but go for something very different to Alex. Xir wedding would be likely a small affair, and xe'd have a full suit but shed the jacket soon off, leading xir in a shirt and tweed trousers. Xe would consider wearing a hanbok but would likely not if xe was getting married in the UK.

ALPHABET HEADCANONS: JACK O’NEILL

A/N: This is it!!!! I’ve caved!!!! I need more content for this man and I’ve gotta create it myself, so enjoy these unprompted lil nuggets of fluff! And don’t forget my ask box is always open for more!!

A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)

Jack is super fuckin affectionate, but he’s more of a… show don’t tell kinda guy. He’s got a bit of a hard time necessarily talking about how he feels- usually deflects things with humor. But he shows it in other ways. In warm touches, in playful side-eyes. Unrestrained by being professional he will hug you all the fuckin time. No shortage of funny little pet names either oh my god it’s like he comes up with a new one every fuckin dAY.

B = Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?)

Jack O’Neill is a really good best friend ok. You’ve seen how he is with the rest of SG1. The dude has so much chill (unless it’s a life-or-death situation obviously), is always inviting you to go fishing. He’s REALLY good in tough situations simply because of his sense of humor and general chill attitude. GREAT at reducing anxiety like guy is a human valium- always knows how to distract anyone before their brain goes into some sort of head-spiral about anything. Loyal as SHIT when you’re in with him he’s pretty much ride or die for you even if you don’t agree with him on everything he would still probably take a bullet for his best friends. Also the biggest hype man- whatever you’re good at he has 100% faith in you to do it right and will always shut down negative thoughts about your abilities. 10/10 on the bestie scale tbh the man is a LIFER.

C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)

He’s actually, perhaps surprisingly, a really snuggly guy when you’re in a relationship with him. He may be… a little touch-starved since the divorce, and kinda misses it, so expect an arm draped over your shoulder or around your waist whenever you’re in a room together, and to be damned near joined at the hip when you’re not in public. The man is an actual living cuddle bug and he’s so sweet jesus.

D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?)

At one point in time he’d have liked nothing more than to settle down, get a dog, just enjoy being retired, but honestly he doesn’t mind that that ideal is a little further away than he thought now that he’s in the Stargate Program. He likes what he does- as stressful as it is sometimes, but there’s never a dull moment. That’s for sure. He’s very good about cleaning and keeping things tidy generally (it’s that military training hard at work), but cooking??? Eh??? He’s passable, can make some basic stuff and ofc he loves to grill (expect very charred meat) but… just don’t ask him to cook anything too elaborate (like… this is a dude who thinks beer is a good omelette ingredient jfc do not let him near a stove for anything more elaborate than a fried egg he’s a fucking gremlin man).

E = Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)

Quickly. And probably succinctly. The only time he’d really get blunt about something is if he had to end it with his partner for some reason. Just to spare himself and his partner the pain. It’s not without emotion though. Oh no. He may move on from things with relative ease- more likely than not without malice for the other person, but he’d never leave anyone without saying a proper goodbye if he’s the one who has to end it.

F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?)

Probably not too quick. He’s not even sure he really wants to get married again after how everything with Sarah went down. He’d have to be pretty crazy about someone to want to try all that again, but if that happens… then maybe he won’t be thinking about it like that.

G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)

H-… have you seen this man??? How tender he is with his partners??? It’s unbelievable that a guy like him has the capacity to be as gentle as he is but it’s breathtaking, and it’s only a glimpse of what he’s capable of. He may be a military man- but doing what he does requires much more care and dexterity than people think, and his touch only serves to show as much. This is the guy who holds your face or tugs you closer when you kiss him. This is the same guy who can diffuse bombs and wield a firearm like an extension of himself and handles you with the same amount of reverence and care if not more.

H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?)

Oh he loves hugs. Loves them. May not do hugs quite as often as he might like actually. Hugs his close friends plenty and especially when they need it, but hugs you even more. He’s a really good hugger too. They’re just encompassing and strong and warm and if you’re not careful you could get addicted.

I = I love you (How fast do they say the L-word?)

He waits on this one. For like… a long while. He probably knows it deep down long before he says it, probably won’t really admit it to himself for a long while even when he realizes that’s what he feels. But one day it probably just… slips out. Unprompted. And it’ll shock you both, but one thing’s for sure; he means it with his whole chest and nothing less.

J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?)

Oh you have no jealousy troubles with this man. He’s an adult, and he recognizes that he’s not the center of everyone’s universe and that people can have just friendly relationships with other people of the gender they’re attracted to. He wouldn’t be in any kind of serious relationship with someone he didn’t trust them implicitly from the start. The man is truly a champ at being chill as hell. If he ever does feel it you’d probably never fuckin know it either. Guy can keep that shit close to his chest if he wants.

K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)

Warm, enveloping, grounding. The kind that make you feel like you’re sinking into something solid, that nothing could hurt you. If he’s kissing you he’s taking his time. Holding you close. Meaning it.

L = Little ones (How are they around children?)

ARE YOU KIDDING??? HE’S FANTASTIC AROUND KIDS!!!! EARTH KIDS?? ALIEN KIDS??? THEY ALL LOVE HIM!!! HE IS JUST DAD SHAPED!!!!!! TO EVERYONE!!!! He’s… not sure if he’d ever want to try to have another kid of his own, maybe, but he has SERIOUSLY considered adopting some alien kids in the past at MINIMUM and probably would if he wasn’t always going off-world.

M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?)

A lot of groaning, at least when he wakes up at first, probably some sleepy kisses while resisting the temptation to uh… get frisky before work. But he’ll get up, clean up, shave and do his silly little crossword (and he DELIBERATELY puts in wrong answers for funsies I know this in my heart). Most days he probably eats breakfast at the base, but on his days off he would probably take turns with you making breakfast- makes egg and bacon smiley faces when it’s his turn (and the occasional beer omelet if he’s feeling lazy). PROBABLY would pick up donuts for the weekend too.

N = Night (How are nights spent with them?)

Usually with a couple of beers, snuggling up under a nice flannel blanket and watching The Simpsons, or whatever else is on TV. Maybe some take-out from one of the usual places (I’m convinced he’s got like 5 or 6 places in town he’s a regular at that he goes to on rotation) . Probably gets a fire going if things are getting chilly up in Colorado. Just likes to settle in and maybe pass out on the couch a lil.

O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?)

He’s a low and slow kind of guy. Both for his own emotional well-being and for his partner’s. He’s got some pretty nasty demons in his past, and they overwhelm even him sometimes. He knows that it’s important to talk about it, and while if he really loves someone he won’t mind sharing these things with them… it just takes time for him to work up the courage to face them again himself and put it all into words.

P = Patience (How easily angered are they?)

With a partner, he’s just about as far away from easily angered as a guy can get. He’s actually very chill with the people he loves. There’s sincerely so very little that you could do that could piss him off to the point of losing his temper- and even then he’d never shout at you or anything- that’s the kind of shit he has to do and see enough at work, and he pretty explicitly never wants to cross that line with someone he’s in a romantic relationship with. And even if he is angry for some reason he’s never really angry at his partner- at least in affairs of the heart he pretty much always remembers the love he has for you comes first and foremost.

Q = Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?)

Believe it or not he actually is *very* good at remembering things about people. He may be one whole dumbass, and can’t do math, but that’s because most of his brain capacity is taken up with things about the people he cares about. Probably knows you down to your favorite food- enough to know to bring it to you to cheer you up, or suggest watching your favorite movie when you get home after a long day.

R = Remember (What is their favorite moment in your relationship?)

He probably remembers the moment you met the most clearly- the moment when you were suddenly in his life even though he didn’t know what you would end up meaning to him down the line.

S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)

Jack is honestly the kind of guy who would rather die himself than stand idly by and watch someone he cares about die. This man would take a staff blast and so much worse for you and that’s a guarantee. But when he’s down that means he’s a little more vulnerable. He really appreciates it when he knows someone is gunning to keep him alive too. To know that despite his bravado and despite his own hero complex someone’s just as concerned with his livelihood.

T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)

He’d put a little effort in. He’s more on the low-key side, not as big of a fan of grand gestures, and of course sometimes the job gets in the way of putting plans into motion (and he’d need a partner who’d understand that), but if that does happen he inevitably finds a way to make it up- sometimes even ahead of time if he has even a shred of warning about some kind of impending earthly peril. But when he plans something it’s usually very sweet, and far from an unfun cliché (but at least one time for valentine's day you *will* come home to rosepettals on the floor leading to the bedroom to find him in some silk boxers on the bed because of course he’s the gift). But usually things with him are… I don’t wanna say spontaneous because he does usually have at least a little bit of a game plan, but he’s all for improvisation and just loves getting swept up in doing whatever with you.

U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?)

I wanna take some time to call him out thoroughly on the fuckin beer omelets thing my guy do you???? Have taste buds???? Listen. With other shit in there I might understand. Beer and cheese is a good combo. But???? JUST BEER IN YOUR EGGS AVAJSFHR!!!!!! Of all the stuff you’ve done in this whole series this is probably your greatest war crime and I’m gonna fucking invoke the 3rd amendment for it. Oh also his fridge is nasty and full of “science experiments” (which like... same) but guy I get why you always be getting take out now jesus fucking christ.

V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?)

Not overly. You’ve seen how this man dresses. He has his little inexplicably fashionable moments, but by *far* he’s more concerned with practicality at least where his attire and physical appearance are concerned. That being said, if you compliment him on like literally anything he will get a major confidence boost about it and will try to do it/wear it more.

W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?)

No… and yes. With all he’s seen and been through, he knows not everything is certain, not everything is meant to be and nothing is forever. But at the same time… he feels just a little better off with you around. He feels this kind of thing with everyone he’s really close with in their own unique way. He really doesn’t know where he’d be without the people he cares about who care about him back and can’t imagine a scenario in which he’d feel whole as a person without them coming into his life at the time they did. And you’re absolutely no different.

X = Xtra (A random headcanon for them.)

So we know Jack has like the biggest fuckin sweet tooth. Pie, Cake, Donuts, ice cream, all of it. There’s always sweets in the house. And if you *make* some for him??? He will automatically love you forever. Also would probably be ok with you feeding him sweets. Warning tho: He’d probably do it back and get it all over your face and whoops now you’re making out covered in frosting and bits of cake and the only way to clean up is to lick it off each other’s faces oh no oh dear.

Y = Yuck (What are some things they wouldn’t like, either in general or in a partner?)

Petty, pushy people. Just doesn’t have the time. Jack can honestly vibe with just about everyone, even people who are wildly different than him, but the only thing that’s really an outright nope for him is people who are so wrapped up in petty problems they can’t see any kind of bigger picture. Or people who are just generally *too* pushy or overly dramatic about every little thing for little to no reason to the point of being just plain childish. He can handle just about everything else but that??? Nope.

Z = Zzz (What is a sleep habits of theirs?)

Kinda sprawls out a lil in his sleep. Typically a stomach sleeper but shifts to his back sometimes (especially to cuddle). He’s always at least touching you in his sleep because no matter how much or little he just likes knowing you’re there.

@sereina asked: How difficult was it for Leon to adjust when he moved to the Kalos region?

Pretty difficult. Not because of the region change necessarily, but because Leon was not in a very good mental state at the time. He was still unpacking all of his new traumas, was having nightmares basically every time he fell asleep, was trying to deal with his title loss and come to terms with his new life path, and was dealing with a sudden tidal wave of repressed emotion that he’d never been taught to control. It was a bit of a mess.

But, at the same time, moving into Kalos with Dani helped him feel like he actually had the safe environment needed to address all of those above things. Kalos wasn’t nearly as invested in the celebrity culture as Galar had been, and he didn’t feel like his every decision was going to be put under scrutiny. He finally got himself a therapist, and after some consideration got Char one too, and he’s been on an upward improvement ever since!

Did he feel homesick, and when he does feel that way, how does he deal with it?

As someone who quickly had to get used to being away from his family and childhood home, homesickness is something he doesn’t really feel anymore. At least, not in any significant way. His parents and grandparents have gotten used to being apart from him, and he’s gotten used to being apart from them, so whenever he does get lonely he resorts back to the tried-and-trusted method of phone calls and personal letters!

The only real exception to this is Hop. Leon worries a lot about him, especially since he knows how hard he worked during the Gym Challenge only to still miss out, so he makes a point of regularly checking in with Sonia and Hop, both to hear about their research and to give life updates of his own. Whenever he’s in Galar he’ll spend as much time with them as their schedules allow, and during his organised events like the Star Tournament he’ll always try and arrange at least one double battle for him and his brother. They’re little things, but he hopes they’re appreciated.

Is there anything in particular he likes better than in Galar? Dislikes?

While this isn’t a major thing, Leon would really appreciate how Kalos leans more into the pokemon fashionista scene. It’s a very aesthetic region, got a lot of elegance and creative pursuits, and cosmetic choices like the range of Furfrou trims and pokemon clothing stores (I don’t think any are shown in canon, but I just know they exist) really allow people to display their partner’s personalities! It’s a fun little thing and not something he really saw much of in Galar.

Also, he prefers the League system! Having it be open to challengers 24/7, rather than relying on a televised competition where it’s only open during the summer months, gives the challengers a lot more chances to actually test the Gyms and win the badges, and it makes the whole thing a less stressful affair. He understands why Galar has the system that it does, and for the most part it works excellently, but it’s still a nice change of pace to live somewhere away from the high stress of having to keep track of thousands of hopeful challengers.

For dislikes... I was going to say he doesn’t like Lumiose’s setup, since it’s so huge and easy to get lost in, but to be fair that’d be a problem no matter where he went. Navigation just isn’t something he’ll ever get the hang of, so it’d be unfair to criticise Kalos for that when he had the exact same troubles back in Wyndon.

So instead, I’ll say that he does miss the audience participation. It was a lot of stress having to appease them every time he battled, sure, but Leon’s still a performer at heart. He wants to watch people be entertained, show off what his partners are capable of when they’re pushed to the limit, and he can’t really do that in a one-on-one battle inside of a Gym or Battle Chateau room. It’s why he still loves participating in the Galarian Tournaments he organises. They give him his fix of excitement and high-energy crowds, and then he can return to Kalos for a more private battling experience.

Is your muse a good kisser? Jacqueline has not kissed anyone so no, she is not. Kissing is something you get better at with experience.

Is your muse monogamous? This one is complicated. Jac is in love with someone but she is not only planning to marry someone else for security but would also be okay with turning a blind eye to infidelity as long as she and her children were taken care of. In a perfect world she would be and she’d never risk her security by having an affair so technically yes.

Wild date night out or quiet date night in? Jac is honestly happy with either but I see her as more of an intimate date night in sort of person.

“How easy is it for your muse to say, “I love you”? If she’s ready, she’ll say it easily but if not then it’s worse than pulling teeth.

How important is physical appearance to your muse? On a personal level, she finds a handsome man or woman appealing and it definitely factors into her interest. On a pragmatic level, she is never going to turn down a marriage proposal based on a man’s looks.

What is the longest relationship your muse has been in? Jac has never been in a relationship.

Does your muse like a height difference with their partner? Jac is rather short so there’s always going to be a height difference, it just depends on how much of a height difference. Jac wouldn’t prefer someone she couldn’t at least reach their collar to carefully pull them down for a kiss.

How physically affectionate is your muse with their partner? Jac is rather physically affectionate in general so she will be for whoever she ends up with.

Do you think Oskar Fevras the artist whom you can buy in any way mirrors Gale? His story reminded me a bit of Gale’s in the whole hung up on your first love thing

Hello there!

Let me explain you how I understand Oskar Fevras. I think that may be an important key to see what I'm going to be concluding.

Oskar has the pretence of being a noble, and likes too much wealth and fame. His patron is his betrothed: Lady Jannath. The Jannath are a family of wealthy mine-owners in BG, who, according to the Main Char's "gossip" knowledge, have been passing through a scandal when they realised that Oskar was a commoner. Apparently Oskar is known as the runaway groom for this.

I'm not so sure to believe that the problem in all his drama is his commoner past. But he doesn't clarify it in a very explicit way. We only have this information from the narrator and it's like a "rumour", something you picked in the air in the city's gossip, so it can be slightly different.

He clarifies that the date of the marriage was never set... but clearly the intention was there. What happened? "Complications", he adds.

Oskar tells you that before his fame as a painter and his affair with Lady Jannath, there was another woman he wanted to spend his life with [which make me assume he was with her until the last moment of the proposal] but when he was offered marriage with Lady Jannath, who gave him a better future because her wealth, he thought "important to tell her about his past".

These lines are a bit inconsistent in their logic, no? You love a woman you want to marry, but then another one very wealthy, asks you marriage and you consider to tell her "you are a commoner" [if we assume the rumour is true].... There is no much connection with the concepts... unless Oskar is saying other thing in his vague way of explaining this story.

In my opinion, he is saying:

I was with this woman I wanted to spend my life with. But on the other hand, I wanted to be famous and wealthy, so I started a serious afair with a person who would support my art: Lady Jannath [it's implied he became her lover without never telling her he was with the first woman]. All was done in order to have fame and wealth. Then Lady Jannath proposes him marriage, and he considers it's reasonable to tell her about "his past" [his past as in, there is another woman, there was always another woman]. This scandal triggered, and because we are talking about a noble family in BG, we know they can control rumours, so they preferred to make it about his "commoner" past instead of his double-cheating.

When he explained his past to Lady Jannath, he was "forced" to escape and think about who to "choose". He doesn't know yet. "Fame and wealth suit me very well." But when he thinks in his first love... he hesitates. He says all this with a very light tone, yet, he makes of this a big dilemma, almost a performance of drama: to choose between true love or wealth to develop his skills.

I may have taken all this a bit more serious if it weren't for the last line he says. If something I've learnt by reading a lot of books of narrative and how to write narratives, is that professionals don't put useless lines in the character's mouths to be wasted. They have meaning.

When the rescue is finally done, he asks for money to fight the "discomfort of the road", and, unless this has been changed in this last patch [I don't play BG3 since patch 2 or 3] he says something that makes you understand that he is going to spend this money in alcohol [he says something along the lines "well, I should endure the road sober then"]. So this last bit showed us that he is not really a very trustworthy person, he hides the truth just to take some extra benefit of the situation [we don't see a real struggle in all this, more like a performance of a struggle].

It's true the situation is a bit vague and this interpretation may be wrong, but Oskar is not exactly an honest char. He has his love for over-dramatisation and present himself as the victim in situations that are not thaaaaat bad.

Now, how all this is similar to Gale? I'm afraid I don't see much similarity, sorry. You can stretch things a lot to make Lady Jannath to look like Mystra [Mystra is the one who gave Gale the deepest connection with the Weave, which is something that brings him joy and sense in life to Gale. She is a kind of "patron" for Gale? It's too stretched, Mystra is a goddess of particular behaviour in her lore] ... but you also can connect her with the first woman by using the weak link of "being Gale's first love". Where the Main Character fits in all this analogy? How all this situation has a relationship with Gale, his abandonment issues caused by a powerful, immense entity as Mystra, and how he made dire mistakes to get her attention again, like all devotees do in this crazy Faerûn? I don't see it, sorry. Gale's first love was Mystra, the most powerful goddess of the pantheon of Faerûn. Oscar's first love was a mortal woman. I'm afraid I can't see much to relate there beyond the fact that "people have first loves" that imprint a strong effect in a person's life [which is true for almost all humans in real life].

I'm not sure if maybe this question is motivated by all those terrible takes that Gale receives in this fandom. I think a lot of people have serious problems with the fact that Gale has an ex. For this, people are a mixture of being offended by that and also treat the party scene as if it were a "big" revelation, which is not?. Sure, he has an ex that inspires him complicated emotions but it's clear he wants to get rid of that event and move on.

Gale never plays two sides. He is always very clear about the fact of having secrets, about his boundaries [another thing that the fandom doesn’t forgive him], and how complicated is for him to speak about Mystra. If you get nice rolls, you can even tell Gale that he is dreaming with Mystra [like, the game makes you AWARE of it XD]... And he also tells you that the tadpole dreams are about power and desire... I mean, if the guy says that, and then dreams with Mystra....why some people are offended/surprised after the party!??? haha. The biggest mystery in this fandom.

Sure, the scene is not handled in the best ways, there are some weird lines, everything looks so high-school cheap drama. I get that... I don't know, we have to blame it for being Early Access and for Gale not being Larian's fave. But well... Gale has an ex. It's a fact, and one can know that very early if the fucking game couldn't be soooooo shitty bugged with his char.

Here is one of my videos [very old patch as you can see] where we can see the second dream: He says "These dreams are about desire", I pick the option of Mystra. "Yes, I dream with Mystra". You know by your own dreams that these dreams are very sexual in general... So, conclusion? Gale has an ex.

Oskar is playing with two women at the same time in the worst case scenario. In the best one, he abandoned his first love to follow wealth. Her first love [that, let's be honest, how much he loved her that he had no problem to cheat on/abandon when it comes to fame and wealth?] was put aside in favour of this noble. Then he leaves the noble one because he is unable to choose. He was the one who abandoned [or cheated, we can't say completely because it's vague] two women, not the other way around... Plus, to make things even more different, there is this small detail that the fandom always seems to be blind about because most of them only know Dragon Age lore: Mystra is the most powerful goddess in the damn pantheon xD Gale was a plaything in her grasp [this is the worst case scenario; I have a secondary interpretation, more kind to her, focused on Mystra's point of view]. But there is something very strong here that make these comparison too out of any frame to compare: She is not a normal woman... her power is not even compared with Jannath's. She is a Goddess.

So, in short: I'm afraid I don't see much in common. XD I mean, everyone has exes, every person with some age has a past even in Faerûn. Sure, this is Faerûn, so exes can go wild, I get it. XD And having exes is not always a "finished business" [specially when that comes with abandonment issues], but more like a WIP: something to deal with unresolved emotions from past partners that you want to move on, and sometimes a new partner may help you [or make everything worse]. I always read Gale that way.

Arbany had met Bakugou during the June of their first year in high school, meeting each other for the first time when her school Shiketsu High bumped into his. The impression they left on each other wasn’t the best. She remembered him as the foul mouthed, egoistic boy with a superiority complex, and he saw her as a good for nothing brat with one too many words and nothing but a dumb set of wings.

She had managed to knock him off his pedestal after she received her hero licence before he had and it sparked rivalry of sorts, Bakugou vowing that he would never lose to her again. They had stayed in contact after Kirishima asked for her number, adding her to a group chat with himself, Bakugou and a few more of their friends.

Soon, unbeknown to any of their other mutual friends, they had began to text privately, and she often found herself rushing to the phone whenever his special notification sounded. They would often take about modern day affairs, the latest updates on well known heroes and villains, and sometimes they would open up and talk about themselves, asking each other for advice on certain things or how their day went.

It wasn’t long before Arbany found herself developing a massive crush on him. Sure his attitude was brash and unnecessarily rude, but that didn’t mean he was a terrible person, in fact he did care a lot, and she supposed he just tried hard not show it for some odd reason or another.

They would meet up regularly, normally at places that were a few train stations away from their houses. The distance between their schools wasn’t incredibly big, but it did take at least an hour to get to one place from another, so they compromised with spots in the middle. On specials occasions, when it was their birthdays or a pubic holiday, one would wait by the school gates of the other.

This led to their classmates noticing and hence teasing them about each other. On Arbany’s side, her face would flush, ears light pink as her friends made comments about shipping them whereas on the other side of town, Bakugou would scream threats as his friends laughed.

Eventually, they started dating. It was a few weeks into the second year and Bakugou had asked her out during a picnic in a field with a wreath of fresh flowers that he had hidden in his backpack and a necklace. It was cheesy, and he was embarrassed the entire time, his cheeks dusted with red, letting out small curses every now as then, but he decided the massive smile on who was now his girlfriend’s face was worth him putting down his ego and taking the first step.

In the following autumn, Arbany had transferred into his school for the last year, after her parents moved for their jobs, she decided to finish off her second year at Shiketsu before joining her parents closer to UA. She was understandably upset at leaving behind her good friends, however being with her boyfriend of nearly a year and also his friends, who she was pretty close to as well, helped cheer her up significantly.

“Arbany!” Mina called, waving her over to the side of the gym. She walked over, pulling on her sports jumper as Aizawa began telling them of today’s training lesson. It was a 1v1 spar with no quirks and he gave everyone the choice to choose a partner.

“Are you going to spar Bakugou?” Mina asked.

Arbany started, “Possibly I-” before cutting herself off as she watched the blonde stomp towards Midoriya.

“Fight me Deku.” he shouted.

She laughed slightly, shaking her head before turning back to Mina. “I think I’ll choose someone I rarely train with.” she said, to which the latter nodded.

“Alright, you better not loose!” she cheered before walking off. Arbany looked around, catching sight of Todoroki standing alone.

“Hey Todoroki!” she called out, smiling as he turned around. “Would you like to be my partner?”

He nodded politely, before the pair began walking to an empty marked area of the hall. Her physical skill was only a few hairs short of Todoroki’s, him often catching to smallest openings and attacking. She stepped back in a wide stance, bringing her leg up which he blocked, before jumping up and swinging the other leg. He dodged, stepping backwards as she swung up, about to land a punch when a sudden large explosion sounded.

“The hell?” she jumped back, whipping her head around to see a large charred dent in the floor of the hall.

“Bakugou! This is a no quirk exercise.” Aizawa shouted, using his scarf to hold the younger boy back from continuing to attack Midoriya. “Are you alright Midoriya?”

She felt a small pang of guilt. Maybe if she had spotted Bakugou’s increasing anger towards the other boy, then she could have possibly prevented this. Maybe she should’ve payed more attention to her own boyfriend.

“I’ll take him to nurse’s office.” she offered, walking towards the boy and pulling on his arm.

“It’s alright I’m fine.” Midoriya protested, shaking his head but she tugged on his arm again and he followed without much more complaint. In the background she could hear Bakugou screaming at her to leave the damn nerd alone but she simply ignored him.

After leaving the hall, she slowed down her pace, letting go of his arm. “I’m sorry about Katsuki, I’m not sure why he even thought something like that would be acceptable.” she sighed, rubbing her forehead as Midoriya awkwardly chuckled.

“It’s not your fault don’t worry.” he reassured her.

“No it’s not.” she huffed out frustrated, “but maybe I could’ve talked him out of pulling something like this.”

Midoriya shook his head. “I think we need to sort it out between ourselves.” he said. “There’s no need to blame yourself Arbany.”

She nodded and sighed, stepping into the nurse’s office after him and looking around for any burn ailments.

Bakugou was seething. He detested the thought of his girlfriend together with the only person on earth that he utterly loathed. As soon as class ended, he rushed off to find Arbany, spotting her near their classroom and pulling her to the side.

“Why are you hanging out with the damn Deku.” Bakugou asked.

She sighed, grimacing. “I was not ‘hanging out’ with him, I went to treat him for a burn that you caused.” she answered, pointing a figure to his chest.

“He could’ve easily taken care of that himself.” he muttered.

“No Katsuki. He could’ve easily not been hurt at all if you just learn how to grow up.”

He could feel himself shaking with anger as he clenched his fists. “What the fuck do you mean I need to grow up.”

“Katsuki you are literally an adult next year, stop acting like a child towards someone who literally hasn't done anything to deserve this hate.”

“So you’re defending him now?”

“Yes! Yes I am because I think you’re being utterly unreasonable.”

“I don’t get you. You’re my girlfriend and yet-”

“Exactly! I’m your girlfriend and you should listen to me when I tell you what you’re doing something wrong. I care about you and that’s exactly why I’m not going to condone this behaviour.”

“But he’s just a fucking loser-” He stopped shouting to hold his head with his hand, rubbing his temple. “Look, I didn’t pull you over for a fight.”

“Well I’m not sure what you expected pulling a stunt like that.”

“Look I can explain-”

“You literally attempted to kill him. For what reason? Because he’s your rival?”

“No because-”

The sound of a phone ringing cut him off. “Hold on, let me take this.” she said, side stepping away and bringing the phone up to her ear.

“Hello? Arbany speaking.”

“Hello Arbany, you are being requested for a case.”

“Alright, I’m coming right now.”

“Mirio is waiting for you at the front gates.”

“Thank you.” she said before hanging up the phone, turning around. “Listen I’ve got a job now, but don’t you dare think this conversation is over Bakugou Katsuki.”

“Wait- Arbany!”

She ignored him, rushing off back to the classroom to gather her bag before running down the hallway and stairs. She stopped at the bottom of the stairs, telling herself to stay calm as she slowly counted to 10 before regaining her composure. “You’re okay Arbany, you can do this.” she said to herself, pushing open the main doors and quickly walking to the school’s front gate.

“Mirio!” she called out, a smile plastered on her face as she threw her bag in the back seat and climbed into the passenger’s seat.

“Hey Arbany.” he replied, throwing her and earpiece before starting the engine and speeding down the road as she put on her seat belt, catching herself with her hand as the car lurched forward.

“Woah, slow down or you’re going to hit someone.” she laughed, securing the piece around her ear.

“I’ll be careful, but today’s job is really urgent.” he said, and she grimaced at the lack of a single hint of humour in his voice.

“Well that sucks, who is it?”

“The League again.” he sighed.

“Seriously? I’ve never met them before.” she answered, a pang of excitement hitting her as she was finally going to face the area’s most infamous villains.

“Really? They’ve been all over your class since first year.”

“Oh damn. I transferred this year so I guess I missed all of the fun stuff.” she answered.

“Well, I wouldn’t say fun.” he replied with a small laugh. “Your boyfriend did end up kidnapped for a good few days.”

She huffed at the word boyfriend and this caused Mirio to loosen up and actually laugh for one time in their journey. His usual upbeat self was incredibly tense and Arbany noticed as soon as she heard his less than enthusiastic greeting. “What did he do this time?”

“Arh.” She put her head in her hands before looking back up and staring at the traffic light. “I don’t even know, he just acts like a child like oh my fucking god Katsuki you’re turning 18 next year and you’re still trying to kill this poor bean over some childhood superiority complex.” she ranted, throwing her hands up in the air, hitting the car’s ceiling by accident.

“That sounds like him.” Mirio laughed, turning the corner, them both now spotting a massive colour of smoke.

“Well shit.” she cursed, tightening her grip on her seat belt as she saw a few people running away from the general direction. “Care to brief me in on which fucker might have done this?”

“Most likely Dabi.” he replied. “He’s the most active member who has a fire quirk. Just a warning, they may possibly have nomus.”

He pulled over to the side of the road, a sticker on his car’s windscreen showing that he was okay to do what would have otherwise been illegal parking. She got out of the car, running towards the scene. “Damn I don’t even have my hero suit on.” she complained under her breath, jumping into the air and with a flap of her wings she was above, looking down towards the scene.

“[hero name] here reporting for duty.” she called out after turning the ear piece on.

“Alright Arbany, your job is to make sure all civilians are out of the area.”

“Understood.” she answered, starting by doing a massive lap around the burning building with her wings. Spotting a pair walking towards it’s general direction, she swooped down and guided them to another route, before flying back up.

Getting closer to the building her eye caught sight on a fairly unburnt rooming, severely out of place considering the entire building was up in roaring flames and smoke. She slowly made her way to, realising a fairly young woman had been using her quirk to fireproof the room, but visibly growing tired. Arbany banged harshly on the window, getting no response as the woman remained leaning against her bed, almost motionless apart from the slight turn of her head, her eyes widening at the fact that someone had noticed her.

Arbany landed on the balcony, stepping back before swinging her leg up and shattering the window. She reached inside and unlatched the door, walking in hurriedly and placing her hands underneath the woman’s knees and back.

“Are you alright miss?” she asked, lifting her up and exiting the building.

She closed her eyes, a faint smile on her lips. “Thank you...”

“It’s alright.” Arbany replied, dropping to the ground at the sight of an ambulance, passing the woman over to a health worker. “Have some rest.” she said before jumping back into the air.

Before she could even travel another few feet, something at an incredible speed knocked into her from behind, sending her shooting down into the ground. “Fuck!” she screamed, wrapping her wings around her as she plummeted into the concrete.

“Arbany? Are you alright?” her ear piece sounded.

“Oh my fucking god.” she cried out, standing back up with a wobble and turning to see a massive lump of muscle and flesh flying in the sky. “Holy shit that thing is ugly.” she snorted, rolling back her shoulders to ease the tension as she most likely had to face that thing.

“That’s a nomu. Try not to engage in contact.”

“I think it’s a bit too late for that.” she responded as it started flying down towards her at a rapid speed.

“We’re sending another pro hero your way. Stay on your toes until then.”

“Alright.” she answered, focusing her mind on the incoming nomu and trying to stop it with her telekinesis. It slowed down considerably, no longer a blur in the sky, however she knew that once it reached her, even with a swing of it’s arm, she would be toast.

She couldn’t take her eyes off it otherwise he telekinesis would cease to work, so slowly she flew back into the air. The nomu changed it’s direction of path and sped towards her. She watched it intently as it grew closer and closer and by the time it was arms distance, she forced all of her energy onto it. It slowed down even more, and with that, she flew up, waiting for it be directly underneath her, before hardening her wings and burying them into it’s muscles as knifes.

It let out an ear piercing howl and with that she focused her telekinesis onto her leg, giving it extra as she stomped downwards on the nomu’s body. It started falling almost instantly, yet in that minuscule time frame, it had grabbed onto her ankle, pulling her down as well. With a shift of it’s body, it launched Arbany down towards the ground with it’s immense strength.

“Fuck.” she screamed. Her wings couldn’t catch any updraft of air so she resorted to encasing herself in her wings again. She hit the ground with a massive crash, the things around her becoming debris as she lay still in the dent in the ground.

In the quick seconds this had all occurred, she had forgotten to unharden her wings. She groaned in frustration at her stupidity as she felt an overwhelming pain in her side.

“Well fuck I might be out of commission soon.” she announced, roughly pulling out one of her feathers out of her side and tying her clothes tightly around the wound.

“You can stop Arbany, Endeavour has made it to your area.”

“I’m gonna keep helping until I can’t move anymore.” she muttered, standing up slowly as she winced at her side wound. She fell in pain as she stretched out her wings. Her wings were indestructible yes, the bones in them could never break, however that didn’t mean the rest of her body was too. The muscles connecting her wings to her back had been severely injured in the fall.

She felt utterly useless. She was a combat hero as much as a rescue one but she had essentially failed at both tasks. She watched as the nomu burned up in flames, still rushing towards Endeavour in a rage. With the last part of her energy, she focused and stopped most of it’s movements, and he sent another fire attack it’s way. With it unable to dodge or even shake out the flames, it slowly burnt up. She guessed this one was the regenerative type the others had encountered before.

With a small nod, satisfied at her help, she leaned against a wall and said “Alright well I’m gonna take a quick nap.”

“Arbany you are still in the battlefield, open your eyes right now!” She winced at the shouting in her ear and grumbled.

“Fine fine, I’m leaving.” she slowly started limping away, her hand on the wall to steady her and she made her way back to the main road. Spotting the ambulance again she stood up straight to walk over, missing the curb and falling flat on her face.

She felt fatigue wash over her as she rested her head on the concrete. Her head was spinning uncontrollably and she closed her eyes shut, hearing people running over to her as she slowly faded away.

“Kacchan I’m guessing you’re going to visit Arbany right now?” Midoriya asked as Bakugou strolled into the kitchen.

“What?” he scowled, turning his attention to the other boy with a glare.

“Wait you haven’t heard?”

“Do I look like I have Deku? Fucking spit it out already.”

“R-right, Arbany’s in hopsital after the villain attack by the-”

“Are you fucking with me Deku? I swear to god.”

“N-no I’m not!” he quickly answered, shaking his head before getting out his phone and turning to the most recent screenshot. “It’s on the news.”

Bakugou snatched the phone off him, his eyes squinted as he hurriedly read the small test. “Fuck.” he said, tossing the phone back to him absentmindedly as he rushed out of the kitchen, grabbing someone’s random jacket that was rested on the couch before running out of the door.

He sprinted all the way to the front gate, propelling himself with his quirk. He stopped at a main road, waving down a taxi aggressively before jumping inside and demanding they go to the nearest hospital. He tapped his feet impatiently as the drive there felt so agonisingly long. His eye watched digital distance measurer and calculator, pulling out what he assumed to be more than enough cash.

“Just park here.” he demanded as the hospital came into view.

“Sir I can’t-”

“Just fucking park here.” he shouted, the timid guy agreeing and stopping the car. He slammed the cash onto the dashboard before bolting out.

“Sir your change.” the driver called out.

“Keep it for all I care.” he shouted back, not sparing another glance as he ran into the hospital, knocking into a few people and almost colliding with a few more.

“Arbany. Arbany [L/N]” he said at the front desk as he almost started shouting at the receptionist for how slow he felt she was going.

“Second floor, room 214.” she said and he nodded, rushing to the elevators.

“Please refrain from running in here.” she called out from behind him. “This is a hospital, not a playground.”

He disregarded her words, pressing the up button multiple times, watching the floors come down to the ground, stepping in and pressing the 2. He soon reached her room, knocking before entering. She sat up on the bed, grimacing slightly as her side throbbed.

“Fucking hell, what were you thinking.” he said, sitting down next to her. His words were harsh but she could hear the genuine worry in them.

“Funny thing right, I did this to myself.” she chuckled, pouting when he didn’t show any reaction to her lightheartedness expect sighing.

“You idiot. Do you know how worried I was when I heard that. And if was from that nobody Deku as well.” he rubbed his eyes, his lips drawn up in a tight grimace.

She kissed her teeth. “Yeah, we’ve got to sort out what problem you have with Midoriya.”

“Fuck that brat, don’t think you can just change the conversation topic. What the fuck were you doing out there to get you landed in this bloody hell.” he threw his hands up, but his tone remained worried, making sure not to raise his voice at her.

“I’m a hero Katsuki, of course there are going to be injuries now and then.” she reasoned.

“I know.” he breathed out. He knew too that it was inevitable. They were both aiming to be pro hero and such a path like that wouldn’t be smooth sailing. “I know, I just...”

She stayed silent, not rushing him to go on as she wrapped her fingers around his. He clasped her hand in both of his, bringing them up to his head as he looked down at the bed. “I was scared.” he whispered.

Her heart melted at his words. It was almost never that someone like Bakugou would put down his pride to admit something like that. She reached over with her other hand, stroking his hair as he continued. “They wrote about you as if you were in some life threatening condition.”

She giggled. “That’s the media for you.”

“I, I thought I might lose you.” he said. She felt him shaking and pulled him towards her, wrapping her arm around him.

“I’m not going to leave you, you dummy.” she assured him. “I promise.”

He pulled back, flicking her on the forehead. “You better, otherwise I’m gonna follow you to hell and beat your ass.”

“Hey!” she pouted. “Who says I’d end up in hell anyways.”

“Pfft, and you’re going to heaven then?”

“Yes!”

“In your dreams.” he snorted.

She laughed at him before they fell into a silence, fiddling with his fingers as he simply just stared her.

“What’s up sweatpea?” she asked, tilting her head to the side and trying to read his expression.

“I love you dumbass.”

“Ew gross.” she laughed as he glared at her. “I’m just joking, ow! Don’t hit me I’m injured.”

Leaning back on the bed and away from him, she stuck her tongue out. “Say it back.” he demanded.

She squinted her eyes at him. “Are you sure you’re not the injured one Katsuki?”

He huffed and crossed his arms. “Fine then. Be like that.”

“I’m kidding, I’m kidding oh my god.” she rolled her eyes, leaning forwards to peck him on the lips.

“I love you too, you baby.”

If it wasn’t for her being injured, he might have blown her to pieces in sheer embarrassment.
