Headcanon that a few months after they start dating, Cameron asks Donna if she can take her out for her birthday
Donna of course has a small, semi-casual party planned for the girls and their closest friends, but Cameron still wants to do something, just the two of them
On the night of the actual birthday, after they’ve had dinner and cake and champagne with Haley and Vanessa, as they’re tidying up the kitchen, Cameron awkwardly asks Donna, “So like, you like surprises, right? And to be spontaneous, or whatever?” Donna grins at her over her shoulder, from the sink, “Does that mean you have something in mind?” Cameron grins back tentatively, “Tomorrow night. I’ll pick you up. See you at 7?” “It’s a date,” Donna agrees.
The following evening, Cameron drives them to what turns out to be the planetarium. In the parking lot, she anxiously asks, “So is this cool? Or…? I mean we totally don’t have to go in, if you don’t want to.” “Are you kidding?!” Donna enthuses, “This is perfect! I love it!” and throws her arms around Cameron and kisses her on the cheek.
They see a 7:45 presentation of a show about the moon landing. Cameron buys packs of freeze dried ice cream for them, and manages to not panic too hard when Donna asks to hold her hand
At a nearby waffle house afterwards, over biscuits and gravy and pancakes, Cameron explains, “I wanted to take you stargazing, that’s supposed to be romantic, right? I thought it might be kind of cold for that, though, so. This seemed like the next best thing.” Smiling warmly at Cameron, Donna says, “Well, that is very thoughtful. This was perfect, though. And besides, we can get a raincheck for the stargazing, right?”
The following spring, on Donna’s half-birthday, she drives out to Cameron’s property, where Cameron has deep-cleaned the back of her truck, and they set up their sleeping bags and a bunch of pillows and blankets that Donna brought from home and thermoses of hot chocolate, and they lie under the stars in cozy pajamas and flannel shirts together, long stretches of absurdly comfortable quiet between them, where they just stare upwards together, punctuated by inside jokes and tech industry gossip and the occasional smooch
But that night, the night after Donna’s birthday, after the planetarium and the waffle house, Donna asks Cameron to find a quiet spot to ‘park,’ which eventually results in them making out furiously for a little while. By which point, Cameron has officially and fully forgotten that she was ever nervous that Donna wouldn’t enjoy herself on their date.

Mending a Family 22/?
Prev | Next
Father and son day out!
Danny vibrated with excitement as dad put on a leather jacket. (He didn’t know why his dad put one on; it was the middle of summer.)
The sun hadn’t risen yet, and the stars were in full view. Today, it would be a father-son trip to the planetarium.
“Have fun, you two,” Jazz said. She wore a robe, and her hair was all over the place.
“We will, Jazz,” Danny said, excited.
His dad put Danny in the booster seat. He didn’t even complain because the sooner they left, the sooner they would get there. It would take almost six hours to get there. (Danny suggested flying, but his daddy said it was too dangerous.)
Danny watched as the sun rose in the sky and read the pamphlet his dad had printed out over and over again.
“Can we go to the gift shop at the end,” Danny asked.
“Of course, chum. What’s a trip to a planetarium if we don’t go to the gift shop afterward?”
“Yay,” Danny yelled in excitement.
Danny spent the car ride giving his dad facts about space. Anything he could think of, from constellations to black holes to galaxies. Danny talked about it all. He even talked about how gravity differed in Space from Earth and the equations used to determine how far anything was. Danny was afraid his dad would get bored after a while but could feel his dad’s enthusiasm.
Danny cheered when he saw the “Welcome to Montreal” sign in French and English.
“How much longer, daddy?”
“Half an hour,” Jason said, smiling at the excited little boy.
How did he get so lucky to have Danny in his life?
Jason parked and carried a vibrating Danny into the planetarium.
Danny’s overwhelming happiness and excitement hit Jason like a freight train when they entered the planetarium.
Jason put his little boy down but held on to his hand so he wouldn’t run off.
“Bienvenue à le planétarium du Montréal. Comment je peux veux aider?” (Welcome to the Planetarium of Montreal. How can I help you?)
“Daddy, what did she say,” Danny asked while tugging on Jason’s shirt.
“Bonjour, j’ai besoin du deux billet, mais je suis américain. Je puis obtenir des services in anglais?” (Hello, I need two tickets, but I’m American. Can I get English services?)
“Of course, sir. How many tickets?”
“I need one for an adult and one for a child, please.”
Danny had tuned out the two adults and stared at the ships they had hanging on the ceilings. It had been so long since he had the chance to come to a planetarium. He had been ten the last time. (He ignored that he was five this time around. It was too confusing to think about.)
“Okay, chum, I got our tickets to enter and for the shows. Ready to go in.”
“Yeah, yeah!” Danny jumped up and down excitedly.
“Have a good time,” the lady said before turning to the next family.
Danny led his daddy deeper into the building. He stared and drooled over the exhibits. There was alien technology that would never exist on his Earth.
The Metropolis Space Museum had recently lent the planetarium its Krypton exhibit. There was a model of Superman’s baby spaceship. A few imitation kryptonite rocks and part of the meteor Superman had been in during his ride to Earth.
Next, there were smaller exhibits on Tamarian and Martian technology and culture. Danny ate it all up. Jason had to remind Danny to be careful with his eyes as he stared at the new technology he had never seen in his dimension.
It was nothing new or exciting to Jason, who had met Superman and Starfire. He had fun watching his son’s adorable face.
They caught a show of Clark’s passage through space when he was a baby. He had donated the images when he found them in his spaceship. They went to another about every known sun with civilization and how each culture interacted.
(This was thanks to the Green Lantern Corps.)
Then, they watched a few shows that were closer to home. As much as Danny enjoyed learning about alien culture and technology, there was just something fun watching about the phenomena that happened on their turf.
Danny enjoyed the one that showed all the planets and different constellations from the Earth’s perspective while playing orchestra in the background.
Jason took them to eat and then to an activity room where children could replicate satellites and space telescopes with Lego.
Finally, at the end, Jason took Danny to the gift shop. Danny bought a plush of Martian Manhunter, a rocket he would build, and a lamp with planets orbiting the sun. He also got a keychain for Jazz and a starry blanket for Ellie, all with daddy’s money, of course.
Jason had to carry his little boy to the car. Danny’s sleep contentment enveloped Jason, and he reveled in it.
“Did you have fun, lad,” Jason asked as he buckled his baby boy in.
“I had the funnest day ever! We don’t have aliens in my world, so learning about the different cultures was the best!”
“I’m glad you liked it. What was your favorite part?”
“Learning about Superman and Martian Manhunter. I think Martian Manhunter is my favorite Justice League member!”
Jason laughed.
“Remind me to tell you stories about Uncle Clark later.”
“Who’s Uncle Clark?”
“I’ll tell you a secret: Uncle Clark is Superman.”
Danny woke up a bit hearing that tidbit of information.”
“Y’know Superman? He’s your uncle?”
Jason laughed while feeling a ping of guilt; he hadn’t told Danny much about his time as Robin.
“Yeah, he’s da—Bruce’s best friend, so he came around the Manor a few times. Plus, I met him in the Watch Tower in space.”
“You’ve been to space? Have you met Martian Manhunter?”
Jason regaled his son of his time as Robin on the ride home. Danny fell asleep to his daddy’s voice as he told his stories.
Jason couldn’t wait to have another day out with his precious boy.
I've never been to a planetarium, but then I thought to myself, this DCU, they have aliens. I can put whatever I want. Anyway, if anyone has actually been to the Planetarium of Montreal, sorry for it not being accurate.

I literally do not know what happened here-
But also! Good opportunity to remind y'all that just because you know someone who's in a wheelchair or uses mobility aids doesn't mean that you can't be a raging ableist! Not all disabled people have the same abilities. I know that this person is trying to bait me into saying what disabilities I have, but I don't owe them any of that information because it's private and they don't get to know that. Have a lovely day!
Image ID:
all of the pictures are a series of YouTube comments in chronological order. The first one (the original comment) was posted 4 weeks and reads:
"Oh my God ok so I live in a small town that's right next to Utah and let me fuuuucking tell you. At the time I worked at the Christa McAuliffe Space Education center (which by the way you should seriously look into the fascinating culture behind space simulators in Utah. There are like four within a 100 mile radius.) And as it was an imerssive space experience, we all were really worried about the loss of customers. We all followed the story Super closely. It was fucking wild. Anyways, there's also literally nothing to do in Utah. Thanksgiving point is phenomenal but it's in the middle of buttfuck nowhere"
The comment has 128 likes and 11 replies.
The next picture is a reply from another person. The date, username, and part of the pfp are cut off. The comment reads:
As some one who lives in Utah you saying there's "literally nothing to do in Utah' is false. You don't have to like it here, but come on. Of course there's things to do here (rolling eyes emoji) You act like we don't have an amusement park, aquarium, a shit ton of skiing & snowboarding shenanigans, Sundance Flim Festival (which I rarely spend money at and walk away with my bags full of free shit), Park City, Hogle Zoo, Aviary, our IMAX Theatre/Clark Planetarium, Wendover is only 90 min away, Lakes for fishing/boating/jet skis, etc, camping & hiking ALL OVER, 5 fucking national parks, & tons of arcades & escape rooms & whatnot. God you just made me so mad for no reason (laughing crying emoji)
The comment has one like.
The next image is a reply from the original commenter that reads:
Lol I'm in a wheelchair man. Most of the stuff you listed is not possible for me. No reason to get so pressed about someone else's comment. Just cuz I don't like it here does not affect your ability to do so
The next image is a reply from the same person that reads:
my mom is in has a Walker & uses a wheelchair depending on the day & we have even gone camping with her.. I'm not sure Ibelieve you when you say you haven't done the stuff I listed? She's been to almost all those places with me (not Park City-those streets are hella steep!)
The next image is a reply from the original poster that reads:
Believe it or not, different disabled people have differing levels of mobility and just because one disabled person can do something doesn't mean another disabled person can do it.
The next image is from the same person that reads:
Probably much to your disbelief I'm 100% aware that people have different disabilities that not only affect them differently but mean that they can't necessarily do what everyone else can do. It's almost like have lived with a physically disabled mother & had a job where I did activities with disabled teenagers (this included mental and/or physical disabilities.) So is there a specific reason you're so triggered by my responses or is there something else? I listed some activities that are here in Utah & you said due to your disability you couldn't do them & I stated my mother has done several of them with me in a wheelchair & instead of further explaining anything you keep being defensive? Any specific reason?
The next comment under that in the same image is from the original commenter and it reads:
I'm confused about why you're so upset about a random disabled stranger on the internet saying that they can't physically do a lot of things in Utah Imao.
End ID.

Beautiful pallasite meteorite slab - each of those crystals is the mineral olivine and they’re a couple cm across. When polished, they tend to let light right through them. The surrounding material is iron - remnant of an iron core in an asteroid that was shattered.

Infotext: As well as Blue Peter, there were a few live sightings of Daleks around Britain in the lead-up to transmission. In November, a Dalek travelled up to Strathclyde University to participate in a lecture by Professor Clarke. On 21 December, two daleks, one gold and one grey, joined Jon Pertwee and Barry Letts at the London Planetarium for a young people’s “Teach-In” sponsored by ‘The Observer’, the liberal Sunday newspaper. They entered through the double doors and trundled down the aisles, their eye-sticks scanning the audience. Off came their tops to reveal Ricky Newby and his fellow operator, an unidentified actor named Peter. Since it was an educational event, they gave a demonstration of how the props worked.

Hey, can you publish the next two film ideas, Last Son of Krypton and Man of Tomorrow, soon, please?
I'll give you Last Son of Krypton for now and do Man of Tomorrow at a later date. Last Son of Krypton is fairly straightforward whereas Man of Tomorrow is more complex.
Superman: Last Son of Krypton
Tumblr media
Assuming that Champion of the Oppressed doesn't fail, I would finally bring in Superman's #3 bad guy and make him the main villain of a movie. There would be a time skip of about 5 years between the previous movie and this one. Drawing on Morrison and Johns' characterizations of Brainiac, Brainiac here is a dark reflection of Superman's desire to protect, showing how that can go wrong. This would be an action-adventure flick that mainly draws on Johns' Brainiac arc as well as Morrison's work with Brainiac in Action Comics and Superman & the Authority. I would do a time-skip of about 5 years since the events of Champion of the Oppressed as a way of signifying this is set in an era of a Superman who is a pro, as well as to justify some of the status quo changes.
Cast:
Clark Kent/Kal-El/Superman
Lois Lane
Jimmy Olsen
Lex Luthor
Commissioner Sawyer
Perry White
Brainiac
John Corben/Metallo
Plot:
Act I - A meteor crashes in a cornfield in Kansas. A farmer couple set out to investigate and are almost killed when the "meteor" is revealed to be a robotic drone, which attacks the couple. Luckily Superman shows up and defeats the drone, although not without the drone drawing some blood much to Superman's surprise. Superman takes the drone back to Metropolis where he informs Commissioner Maggie Sawyer that he has found another one, the first one not to attempt a direct landing in Metropolis. Sawyer is curious why this one tried to land in Kansas but Superman deflects her questioning and departs. Later he returns home to his apartment where we learn that he and Lois Lane are a couple although not yet engaged. Lois doesn't know his secret yet and Clark knows he has to tell her if he wants to marry her. He's been putting it off an the longer he waits the worse it's going to be when he finally tells her. Lois asks him where he's been and then immediately goes into telling him about a story she's been working on before he can respond. Apparently the Lexcorp Planetarium has been monitoring a large unidentified object approaching Earth, and the military is getting involved. Lois plans to investigate and reminds Clark to turn in his article about the meteors to Perry tomorrow or Perry will fire him. Clark promises and the two kiss and go to bed. Next day Clark goes in to the Planet, lets Jimmy know he needs to go link up with Lois to help her with her investigation, and gets chewed out by Perry for being gone for so long, and is instantly forgiven when he submits a story about Superman saving a farmer couple from an alien attacker. Clark flies to the Fortress where he meets Steel a.k.a John Henry Irons and the two talk about what they know. Irons reveals that he's detected signals being sent from an object out in space to somewhere in Metropolis. Steel theorizes that based on the pattern of probes landing sites, something out there is interested in Clark. The two are interrupted by an attack on the Fortress as multiple alien drones like the one Clark fought in Kansas assault the Fortress, with the duo teaming up to defeat them.
Act II - Lois along with Jimmy Olsen meets with her contact, revealed to be Lucy, and learns that they've identified the approaching object to be a large machine of extraterrestrial origin. Lucy is worried because Lex is involved in the study of the approaching object, and he has all but cut her out of the loop. She's gone to Lois in the hope that leaking some information will force the upper brass to step in and bring Lex to heel. Lois wants to know why Lex is taking such a personal interest, and convinces Lucy to let her snoop around Lex's labs underneath Lexcorp. Meanwhile deep within the Stryker's Island prison Metallo reactivates for the first time since Champion of the Oppressed. He breaks out and goes on a rampage, demanding that Superman be sent to him. Having subdued the last of the drones with the help of Steel, Superman rushes to Metropolis to confront Metallo. The two fight and Superman directs the combat out of the city and into the outskirts. Meanwhile Lois, Jimmy, and Lucy are snooping around Lex's labs and discover that he's been in contact with an alien intelligence known as Brainiac. Brainiac has agreed to help Lex in his quest for power in exchange for Lex delivering Superman. The two are stopped from escaping with this information by Lex and a security contingent. Lex plans to murder the trio until an alarm system alerts him that he's all out of time: Brainiac has arrived. Superman meanwhile subdues Metallo outside of city limits, only to have Metallo inform him that he's played right into Brainiac's hands. With their protector distracted Brainiac bottles Metropolis and also teleports Metallo to his ship. Superman can only gaze in horror at the empty hole where Metropolis used to be. Brainiac broadcasts a worldwide message threatening to annihilate all life on Earth unless Superman surrenders himself within 24 hours. Inside the Bottle City, Lex is furious that he's been bottled, and demands an explanation from Brainiac. Brainiac informs him that he will still honor their deal, Lex will be appointed ruler of Metropolis, free to run life as he likes as long as he eliminates dissent to Brainiac's rule. Otherwise he'll be killed and a new ruler appointed. Unhappy with this arrangement, Lex agrees to work with Lois, Lucy, Jimmy, Commissioner Sawyer, and others to figure out some way to beat Brainiac. Lex studies the drones Superman collected and gave to Sawyer in order to figure out how Brainiac's technology works. Meanwhile at the Fortress of Solitude, Superman and Steel prepare to surrender themselves to Brainiac. Steel has prepared a virus that he hopes will free Corben from Brainiac's control, drawing on his previous participation in helping to build the suit that Metallo wears, and having studied the remains of the drones that attacked the Fortress. Steel believes Metallo to be controlled by the same signal that directs the drones and is optimistic he can disrupt it with the virus. Superman and Steel fly to Brainiac's Skull Ship and are allowed on board.
Act III - Brainiac sees no use for another human and orders Metallo to dispose of Steel. Taking Kal aside, Brainiac relates the story of how the Coluan Vril Dox became the Last Son of Colu after his people destroyed themselves, going on to transform himself into Brainiac and setting out to "save" countless species that were intent on killing themselves via bottling a sample size for repopulation purposes in the future, one of those Bottled Cities being the Kryptonian City of Kandor. Seeing a kindred spirit in Clark as a fellow Last Son, and also noting that like Brainiac, Superman is a product of multiple worlds, Brainiac proposes a partnership. Superman rejects the offer by pointing out that some of the societies on the ship look ancient, and theorizes that Brainiac has lost sight of his original goal and now simply hoards the cities for knowledge and to control them like he couldn't control Colu. Superman demands a demonstration of good faith by Brainiac regrowing one of the Bottled Cities. Brainiac is incensed at the refusal and rejects the idea of regrowing the cities until he decides the time is right, attacking Superman. Elsewhere in the ship, Steel successfully uses his virus to free Corben from Brainiac's control before Metallo kills him. Corben still has access to Brainiac's systems, and is able to use them to make contact with Lex via the drones Lex is working on. Lex guides Metallo and Steel to the controls of the Ship where Metallo is able to force the Skull Ship to land, and restores Metropolis to it's original place although the effort costs him his life. Superman forces Brainiac outside the Skull Ship where the exposure to an uncontrolled environment destabilizes Brainiac and allows Superman to defeat him. Lex, Steel, and Superman are hailed as heroes, despite Superman and Steel's efforts to praise Metallo's sacrifice. Later Clark goes to Lois in their apartment, who asks him where he's been before starting to immediately launch into telling him about all the events she participated in, a callback to the start, but this time Clark asserts himself and tells her he needs to say something. Clark tells her that his fight with Brainiac has convinced him that he needs to embrace both sides of himself, and that he can't keep parts of himself bottled off from her. Lois is confused and asks what he means. Clark tells her he's Superman and demonstrates his powers. Lois is shocked and then pissed, Clark lied to her for years, lied to the entire world. Lois tells Clark there can't be any more secrets between them, and also mandates that he come clean with Perry at the very least. Clark agrees and tells her no more secrets. The next morning Lois wakes up and sees Clark is already gone. Unsure of what to make of that, she turns on the TV and is surprised to see everyone talking about Superman informing the press he has an announcement to make. Superman holds a press conference and reveals his secret identity to the world.
That's the rough sketch of the second movie, again it's not perfect I know, but it's only a rough draft. Fairly straightforward and simple, the final movie of the trilogy is where I would take my stab at the "what does Superman MEAN bro?" kind of plots we've been getting since Superman Returns.
