Twin Turbo LS1 Lamborghini Jalpa Is The Finest Italian Hooligan

Call it sacrilege or extraordinary, there is no way that any car that gets stuffed with an LS V8 engine is subtle. It is especially not more so if the car in question is a rare Lamborghini Jalpa from the 1980s. Between 1981 and 1988, Lamborghini made around 410 Jalpas and positioned it as a car that was more, than the full-fat Lamborghini Countach. It had a smaller engine too, honing a 250bhp 3.5-litre V8 instead of the Countach’s V10.

What you see here is one of the 410 cars that were made, and possibly the only one that now has a 5.7-litre GM LS1 V8, but that’s not all! According to the FULLBOOST, the car’s owner, a certain Nick carried on with the modifications, adding a pair of turbochargers to make the car properly mental. The setup has brought the power up from the Jalpa’s stock 350 hp to a mad 690 horsepower, and that with moderate boost. Just in case you’re wondering if the twin-turbo Jalpa is any fast, then let the windscreen wipers lifting off on acceleration in the video below be proof for its brutal acceleration.
