Which is your favorite platform? (of the ones you have accounts to post things I mean. I can't imagine it being Instagram since you don't really post there which honestly fair)
Tumblr, Twitter (X?) bluesky? Something else?
I think I'm going to have to go with tumblr, and it's not just because we're here. Twitter and Bluesky are nice and my experiences on both are overwhelmingly positive. But tumblr has an atmosphere that encourages originality, sharing your creations and talking about things in depth.

"but spacie, i have no followers why should i reblog things" let me answer this question using myself, a person who has been using tumblr for almost a decade now, as an example. pre 2022 the most followers i ever had was like 125. most of them were dead blogs. killed in the porn ban or just people who had left for whatever reason. out of the people left who were still active, i had like 3 people at the most interact with my blog on a monthly basis. for years b4 this, i had ZERO FOLLOWERS but upon making my blog i saw all the other ppl who had been using this website longer than me talking abt how important it was ta reblog shit, and throughout all these years on tumblr, even when i had no followers i reblogged things. b/c i understood that it was integral ta the way this site functions.
now mind you, just b/c i had no followers didn't mean ppl wouldn't stop by and reblog things from my blog. every couple months id have a new person find me and reblog something. maybe they'd reblog a lot of stuff! the point is that id go months without any interaction at times and i STILL reblogged things because i knew people could find me and see something they liked on here. eventually people who frequently checked my blog ta see what i would reblog followed me!! im sure there’s ppl who dont follow me that ta this day who still reblog the stuff on here!! the point is that it genuinely doesnt matter how many followers you have. sure, it certainly helps, but ppl can still find and interact with the things on your blog without you having thousands or even hundreds of followers. so PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE reblog things.

I love when I still get notes on stories with less than 100 notes, because it’s like where are you finding them! How does a story with little fanfare still find an audience years later? It reminds me that my stories are always around and even if I haven’t written in months, or at that frequency specifically for years, people are still readers, and I am still a writer.

tumblr is one of the only refuges artists have without fighting twitter’s worsening algorithm or instagram’s image crunching so i think on top of being vocal about bad changes, be vocal about the good ones too. like it or not, the Blaze feature is an awesome addition as it allows artists to boost their own work. the sponsored artist alley thing that shows as an ad spot is an excellent compromise between not having ads and helping the user base. the addition of top posts on a blog are good. if you send feedback complaining about the user-hostile updates, always mention previous versions that were better and why, and any new updates which are good and why.

I’m always paranoid of my tumblr being deleted or malfunctioning or something like that someday, so here’s other places to find me/follow me, just in case lol
~ instagram - https://www.instagram.com/lucalicatte/
~ main youtube - https://www.youtube.com/c/LucaLiCatte
~ games/sims youtube - https://www.youtube.com/@cloudycatte
~ facebook page (I rarely use this because I hate facebook but.. it at least allows text posts better than instagram does, so idk maybe I’d use it more if tumblr went away? lol) - https://www.facebook.com/cloudycatteart/
~ Other Links (stuff I don’t use often/isn’t Main enough to list here, like twitter, neopets, other tumblr sideblogs, youtube channels, etc.) are here - http://icewindandboringhorror.tumblr.com/otherlinks )

I keep seeing a couple posts going around raising the alarm about losing custom blogs, and idk but I never thought custom blogs were a big deal at all, even back before tumblr started catering more to the mobile format. This poll is to see where others stand on the topic.

Feelings I've experienced this year that are hard to define:
- Getting on an airplane with a cold and then getting off to find that everything sounds like it's underwater for a few days. Every morning you wake up and try to guess if that's how the house always sounded or if your hearing is still messed up. (Did my shower always sound this distant?)
- Going on an awkward first date with a girl you've liked for a while to find that she's not quite like you imagined. When she says she has to go and leaves you in the empty theater you kind of run over the situation in your mind all day. Walking out of the movie theater alone is very different than walking into the movie theater alone. Feels like a liminal space.
- Going to a funeral for someone you only knew briefly and learning so much more about them from their eulogies than you ever knew while talking in person.
- Losing interest in a hobby that you've enjoyed for several years and trying to mend the empty, hauntingly nostalgic hole that's left behind. You don't particularly dislike the thing, but you can't enjoy it the same way anymore. It feels a bit like a strange half breakup.
- Noticing that people tend to hold the door for you outside of high school. Maybe it's just because I've been a wallflower at school for so long, but it feels strange and almost awkward to be acknowledged when I'm just running errands. People were so rude back in high school, but now they're turning their heads to smile at me and asking how my day's been at the checkout counter. I don't know how to feel about all this.

Smol update, I've added to my rules some timeframe specifics- that I'm busy on weekends.
That aside, as an fyi- my husband is on vacation for the rest of the year, so i could become distracted in the meantime~
