I had a pretty uhh straining two days but hey guess what? I wrote around 180k words worth of stuff this year and we still have a couple of weeks left! Anyway, here, have this tidbit from the puppy fic, which will be posted on Friday (probably):

Eddie first noticed when he joined the 118. Buck looked like his hackles were up the whole first week and he was only short of growling as he clocked Eddie in the shoulder on his third day, when their paths crossed over the stairs.

Then a little later, after they became fast friends over a grenade embedded into some guy’s leg, Buck turned a 180 on him and showed Eddie the guy everyone was talking about. The good guy. The great guy.

Well, the others were right; Buck was pretty great. Also very excitable; he’d bounce around the loft telling the tale of some interesting call or weird facts he learned during one of his late night Wikipedia deep dives, seemingly never running out of things to say.

And Eddie would just laugh at the way his eyes twinkled and his arms swung around in the air as he gesticulated and acted out parts of the stories, reminding Eddie of the giant Labrador his tío used to have when he was a kid; always running around the house and knocking things over with his excited tail-wagging.

Dethvanity is really funny to me conceptually as an episode because you can see how little they had to make the characters insecure about for the bit. They swing for obvious lowblow choices with Pickle' baldness and Nathan's weight and even those require some suspension of disbelief because ok. Sure. Nathan '(said extremely proudly) never skipped a meal in my life!' Explosion is insecure about being a big man now. Nathan *guy who everyone thinks is smoking hot 99% of the time* Explosion is a tiny bit larger than usual and is insecure about it now. Lol. Lmao even.

But anyway then we hit Skwisgaar and Toki and there's like NOTHING to swing for, you can see them going uhhh ok Skwis doesn't sleep he probably drinks a lot of coffee, and Toki? Shit, what does Toki have to be insecure about with his looks. He's perfect, he's adorable, he's ripped. Um. FUCK IT, HE'S DOING NOTHING BUT EATING LEMONS. WE GOT NOTHING, WE GOT NOTHING, JUST GIVE THE BOY CITRUS FRUITS.

to be clear, i'm not angry about pretty boy slade wilson at all, if clark is just starting out then bruce has probably only been at it for a couple years himself, and dick is definitely still flipping about at haly's with his totally alive not ever gonna die parents and a good few years from slade deciding that his archnemesis needs to be a teenager from the most insane family in all of north america, it makes sense that slade so far is a young man still fulfilling mercenary contracts and other things like that and still in the relative flush of youth

also again, the way they drew him was hot, if this is how slade's anime twink phase goes i'm not mad about it

ive watched 3 seasons of 911 in a week. and yeah i also watched the last two s7 eps that came out. yes ive seen spoilers for like the whole show and im still having fun. and hey, the next ep doesnt come out till may so i have time to catch up! (i dont think itll take me three weeks to watch three more seasons)
