It's hard to explain. Hm. I meant like just in the pizzaplex as robots, I guess? But I guess it doesn't really matter since their personalities would be about the same in most AUs.
Oh, you mean like, how I interpret their personalities! Okay, okay, okay. It's a little complicated and I'm going to have to keep things as short as possible or else I'm going to write you a fucking dissertation on these two:
(I also apologize in advance for these being so dark, I have been in. An angsty as hell mood lately. What is going on.)
Sundrop: A self-loathing, try-hard, desperate, tightly wound, resentful, constantly afraid for his life, wracked with guilt, lowkey-highkey hates his job and (most of) his coworkers, "fake it till you make it" type. Lowkey-highkey despises the Glamrocks for their popularity, hates running a Daycare, would throttle almost all of his human coworkers if he had the chance. Any semblance of kindness is taken with a grain of salt, but repeated acts absolutely flip his "kind of obsessively desperate to keep you around please don't leave him" switch.
Moondrop: Genuinely believes he is a villain, because he was designed to be that way. Loves scaring people, because it's really the only way he can get anyone to acknowledge that he exists. But everything he does is just a performance. He hides behind the mask he puts on. All the world's a stage. Fear the Moon, love the Sun. It's all he knows. Anything else...he's unsure of how to handle. His instinct is to try and push you away through his usual tactics. But if you stay, just know that he'd kill for you. This is not an exaggeration.

Semi-plotted thread // @jinanreona
Jem slips his hand into his pockets, fishing out a cigarette and a lighter. He's on an extended break, a usual routine of his on Fridays, when customers would come in droves at night and they were allowed to take long breaks during lunchtime to make up for any overtime they would be doing.
He'd just had a light meal, nothing too heavy, just so he wouldn't feel too bloated and lethargic to work the long hours. Now he's spending the rest of his time tucked behind in the alleyway at the back of the tattoo parlour until his break ends. Smoking wasn't allowed inside the building.
He lifts the cigarette to his lips, flicks on the lighter, and watches the tips of his stick light up, leaning against the bricked walls for comfort. He's been exercising this routine for two years, almost as long as when he'd started working here. There's nothing that he hasn't seen yet happening in this alleyway while he merely stood by and watch as the events unfurl themselves. The world outside of prison never stops amusing him. It feels almost as if he's never left it.
Har.rassment. Conspiracies. R.ape. Mu.rder. Butchering. Fights that end up turning up on the news with a handful of casualties. He knows every crack, every nook and cranny of the place enough to go into hiding, killing his cigarette and watch as things happen without the urge to step out and do something about it.
He has a feeling inside of him that something is going to happen today as well.
Before long, the sound of bikes screech from the distance. One, two, three, four, five... More than half a dozen, but certainly not more than ten. Carefully, Jade bends down, fingerless gloved hands sliding into thigh-high boots to dislodge a knife that he'd hidden there for good measure.

[ Also, no, the wyvern is not PRISTINE. It’s a wyvern. It’s rough to touch. It crawls when it’s on the ground, and it’s flight patterns are a combination of hydro-aerodynamics. He bleeds BLACK, DENSE. He is uncomfortably HOT to the touch round his sternum, while the rest of him is equally, contradicting COLD. If this manifestation is SPEAKING aloud to your muse, he is unwilling to receive their ambition, and considers them far too weak to take seriously. He will MOCK them. He will STALK them. He will BUTCHER them. And he will do so for FUN. To sate BOREDOM. This vessel is dominated by Aizen’s Hōgyoku, and it is fixated on destruction, consumption, sinful and corruptive methods to achieve his ambitions. His mood is unstable and erratic. It is spiteful and malicious. He takes pleasure in someone’s fear, and feeds on a soul’s saturation when pumped full of fright and desperation. The wyvern’s vessel was forged into flesh first, and it is made to sate a massive, unwavering, dangerous appetite for souls and reishi material. Not even Aizen is safe from this form’s hasty, impulsive behavior and self-indulgent ambitions for heaven’s throne. ]

Shamanism — one of the healing arts. Xiejie Liubo’s former involvement in the Shaman’s guild.
Disclaimer: Although some parts of this headcanon are referenced from real life lore, there are certain parts of it that are also either made up, or simply taken for its repetitive appearance in other xianxia universes. Therefore, they are not realistically accurate to a T.
Tumblr media
Shamanism and all words associating with it always had a negative connotation simply due to the fact that it was the Hans who wrote history after Confucianism and Daoism were introduced to the larger society, viewing it as an immoral practice due to the involvement of blood sacrifice and usage of human lives. Sometimes, it’s also viewed as (dark) sorcery, as Shamans are often regarded as people who held the ability to communicate with beings from the spiritual world, asking them for advise, prophecies, even favours.
However, in reality it’s simply one type of the healing arts. Their ability relies on their extensive knowledge and know-how to use wild herbs in its natural form, not having to process them in order to form medicinal pellets, such as how the people of the Central Plains does it. In some cases, this does extend to ‘immoral’ practices* and where herbs are involved, they can kill as brilliantly as they can heal.
When Xie’er first started out to be a Shaman, the aim was to become a physician, but it so happens that life took him down the other path and eventually shifts his focus to become a master of poisons. When he was still in Nanman, he was a member of the Shaman’s guild and served as an apprentice before he was forced to become independent after its destruction, spared only because their elders had decided to sacrifice themselves so that the younger ones could live. However, as a Man of Nanman Xie’er does not particularly hold any grievance against Han people for the destruction of his clan, as they were taught that the world operated in a way where it will eventually iron out all those who are too weak to survive. Especially as the son of a Khatun, he was also taught some politics that empires and lands rises and fall, so if one were to happen during his lifetime, that was simply fate that the stars has arranged for them.
This, however, doesn’t stop Xie’er from being proud of his barbarian origins, despite that it’s often the topic of contempt among the Han people which dominated the Central Plains. In spirit, he had always been a Nanman. He had their temperament, went by their culture, and held their beliefs. Though being brought up with Han culture eventually after being adopted by Zhao Jing had a vague impact on his beliefs, he is still more Barbarian than he was ever a Han. The way he dresses - a very non-Han, and presumably, Nanman hairstyle, but adorns himself with Han robes and jewelry - can testify that he still considers himself a Nanman, albeit in Han territory. His temperament is also very Nanman-like; he’s not interested in poetry or the four arts of civilized people (qin playing, calligraphy, chess, painting), but he shows passion in poison and crafting weapons that he’d adopted from the Nanman’s natural love for hunting.
His 药人 (Medicinal live human subjects) is one of the immoral practices of Shamanism. The process involves using a live human and consistently bathing them in or feed them with poisonous insects or animals (snake venom, scorpions, centipedes, frogs), to cultivate their blood so that it may be used as either a powerful breed of poison to kill or to heal. The same works with feeding the live subject medicinal herbs with healing properties. Such practices are banned in the Central Plains, presumably by the Emperor, due to the tactic it requires to produce such effective but powerful substances. However, it’s still a common practice among the Barbarians, and Xie’er, especially, as a Nanman will never (IC-wise) understand what is wrong with it when his subjects are usually willing to offer themselves up as vessels.
This is often where his opinions clashes with Zhao Jing during their discussions behind closed doors. Zhao Jing, he knows, does not particularly care about morality, but rather, his yifu simply does not wish to get his hands dirty by something so taboo in the Central Plains. More often than not Xie’er thinks Zhao Jing is a coward for being so squirmish, but he himself feels nothing but proud of his achievements. However, most of the times Xie’er will not push the subject if Zhao Jing insists to keep a tight lid on this ‘secret’, simply because he doesn’t want an argument to spark between them, but his opinions about the whole matter does not truly change.
...
*immoral practices: the usage of this term is strictly coming from the pov of Han people. The four barbarians, and in xie’er’s case, the Nanman people, would not find anything odd with using live humans as medicine. This will also be reflected in rp, depending on whether I write a Han or non-Han, the characters would have conflicting opinions on it.

🌟 Happy birthday!! 🌟
Could you pretty please give us your own personal headcanons about Sun and Moon? Maybe something other people don't really talk about, or something that's different than majority opinion? If not, please tell us if any of the animatronics snore I'm dying to know!
Slight warning: these get a bit dark.
☀️Sunnydrop + Personal HCs:☀️
⭐The Daycare has been "Out-of-Service" for months now. Ever since the sudden disappearances started ramping up--and Sun knows it has something to do with Moon. But he doesn't know how exactly, and that lack of knowing? Absolutely terrifies him. Still...sometimes he wonders if he even wants to know the truth.
⭐Sun is very aware of the little arcade cabinet stashed away in the back of their room. He knows of Eclipse, but he doesn't know exactly what it is. Or why it's there. Just that it's Wrong, and probably Shouldn't Exist, and that it can Never, Ever Get Out. (Good thing it can't! Right? ...Right???)
⭐As is pretty obvious in-game, Sun spends a lot more time looking over the Daycare than he does his own well-being. Sure, he'll do what repairs are necessary to keep them running, but he prefers to put most of his focus towards his "job." (Because if he doesn't do a good job, then they might get rid of him.)
🌙Moondrop + Personal HCs:🌙
⭐I am fully of the opinion that Moon has been "assisting" Vanessa/Vanny with the disappearances that have been going on inside the Pizzaplex, for several reasons. The Moondrops, the fact that Sun is desperate to keep Moon at bay, and that the first place Moon takes Freddy after disabling him is straight to Vanessa.
⭐But in that vein, he has no idea that Vanny has actually been killing the children he's been bringing to Vanessa. All he knows is that when he finds a lost child, he's supposed to bring them to her, and she "promises" to get them back home safe-and-sound. If he ever did find out what happened to all those kids...it'd probably break him.
⭐On that topic, I think he has some sort of "bond" with Vanessa. I'm under the assumption that she's manipulated him into working with her. Maybe through threats, maybe through the virus, maybe through tricking him into thinking she actually wants to be his friend. Maybe all three. I actually have a lot of thoughts about this.

simon “i cant do one-night stands because i catch feelings” riley but it’s in an obsessive way.
he realizes how your bodies are so compatible with each other that he begins to track you down to ‘accidentally’ bump into you. but this only ever happens on very specific days—days when fucking sort of becomes the natural next thing to do and who else could be the best option for you when simon, the man who made you cum more than three times within the short hours you two were together, was right there?
and you’re not foolish enough to deny yourself of the razing euphoria that only he could give to you—your bodies locking together, his hand a steady weight on the back of your neck, the other bruising as it gripped your hip, and his cock slammed so far in you that you swear he was hitting places you never knew were your pleasure points—so of course you would choose him. you miss him, after all.
(you miss the way he made you beg. the way he made you cry. he was so perfect. so gentle and kind. but he was also so mean. so dominating and overwhelming.
he was all you ever needed—someone to fuck you right.)
“one more round, yeah?” simon croons, chest heaving as he catches his breath.
your walls clamp down on him at hearing his words, before a garbled whine trickles from your kiss-swollen lips. he watches as your head shuffles against the pillows with your abrupt nods, further muffling your gasped out mewls.
simon giggles, his lips pulled into a grin that is a bite too mean.
seems like he’s fucked you stupid again, huh?

Chapter 6: The Arctic Ocean - Another Mer Civilization
The Coral Sea was not the only mer civilization in the sea. In truth, they were five civilizations in total. There was a time in the primordial world where each civilization thought that they were the only mer kingdom that exists in the sea. Since water covers more than 90% of the world, it takes them days, months, or even years to travel to a different ocean on fins without magic. And so they each thought that they were the only ones until magical schools came into becoming a thing and the merpeople were exposed to more interactions outside of their own kingdoms.
The Arctic Ocean is the homeland of Jane (Jade’s female counterpart), Azura (as written by @mostrohost) and Flora (as written by @sweetlybite). With most of the region covered in ice, the girls have never seen more than two humans standing together prior to enrolling into Dusk Rook Academy. They had seen animals - but different than the ones one would see in humid or tropical regions, humans however were few and far in between that they were almost non-existent.
Unlike the Coral Sea, the Arctic Ocean is an all-woman merkingdom eternally struggling with im.perialism. It is ruled by a single Queen who commanded The Kraken (which is apparently a rare living Titan as mentioned in this headcanon), who she feeds those she deems has committed treason (read: disobeying her words).
Her name is Alincia, Queen of the Empire and Ruler of the Arctic Ocean.
Myth of the Arctic Ocean’s History
Legend goes that a mermaid princess once married a human prince, but due to not receiving the blessing of the prince’s parents he and his wife moved up North, a cold but decent place rich with food and full of life that would soon be known as the Arctic Ocean. The mermaid princess’ friends and the human prince’s followers followed them as they settled down into a small kingdom that they would call their home.
After they got married and had children, they realised that all the females could shape-shift from mermaid to human at will, taking after their mother, but their sons remained humans and could not shape-shift nor breath underwater, like their father. As thousands of years passed in peace, the mood in the Arctic Ocean shifted and gradually, they’d forgotten about their heritage. Greed overtook the human men as they smuggled the mermaids out of the Arctic Ocean to sell them off to places where mermaids weren’t a thing. The wrongful deaths and cried of tortures from her mermaid sisters angered the mermaid Queen, and once she had enough she started ‘The Purge’ to which killed most if not all the human males in the region of the Arctic Ocean.
From then on, the Empire slowly came into power over the years. The Queens of the Arctic Ocean would pass an artifact down to their heir and daughters which would allow them to command The Kraken and do their bidding in case they were disobeyed.
Within The Empire
The girls of the Empire were all assigned a role at birth. 90% of them were military related - so they could contribute to the kingdom. As soon as they could survive without their mother, they were given a few months before guards would arrive and take them away to start their physical training. Girls would be tossed into extreme environments, the ones who died would be considered unfit or weak, and the ones who came out alive would resume to their next level of training, until they graduate and is personally recognised by Queen Alincia as a member of the Empire.
Paramours
Paramours are the default way of how they breed (idea credit to Cermit). During Queen Alincia’s rule (presently), males still amount to a small number in the Arctic Ocean but they were never given the chance to surpass 3% of the entire population or given dignified roles. Most of them were slaves or servants. The highest a male could go to was to become a paramour, where they’d given the chance to mate with one of the females from the Empire to produce offspring. During the mating session, the girls would be blindfolded to discourage favourism (the girls are not allowed to know who they’d mated with and the males were forbidden to know which of the babies were their children). However, the girls were given a chance to choose whether they wanted to mate or not while the males were not and were expected to treat it as a duty in exchange for continuous survival.
As a result, however, most of the girls who came from the Arctic Ocean have (1) never seen more than 2 humans in their lives, and (2) have never seen boys. This might or might not be the reason why they are exclusive to each other and reluctant to accept anyone else who is not from the Arctic Ocean.
Special Elite Unit
The Special Elite Unit in the Empire is a special force of duos that consists of only identical twins. Jane and Flora are part of that unit, belonging to the same team as each other’s partners. The force is rarely sent out, but often given special missions that they are not allowed to share with anyone as it would risk sabotaging the mission. The idea to use twins is that (1) it reduces the chances of disagreements or scenarios of betrayal, since one twin is more likely to rescue their partner and ensure that they both come out alive even without being told rather than leave them behind. So it’s either the both of them die or both of them live - to the Empire, which made things convenient and clean, and (2) identical twins could carry out a lot of feats most people couldn’t.

He never liked to think of the fiberglass sharpness inside him. An weapon; was one of his main purposes even if his maker always had never been direct or cared to explain how much so. It was an fear, something to try vaporizing but there waiting and biding it's time. Like right about now- somebody in trouble so the dial flipped all the way up. Knife flying from his fingers through the issue causing parties eye- the skull and embedding somewhere in the dirt. As the threatening parties breathless corpse hit the ground. Swiftly moving to retrieve his knife that he wiped the blood off ever casually onto his black jeans. No light in his eyes as he gave an not so careful nudge to assure was handled. Yep very much so; smooth little movement to sheath his knife away. "Are you alright?" It was clearly an genuine question even if it also seemed robotic in nature. Probably given he was deep in that side of him. Lingering in it; maybe as an mercy to himself or something other but he didn't care to think about it. "That looked- life threatening."

First morning wake up after the nautiloid crash and there are still many questions to be answered. Not by Ballard, though! He doesn't know shit or remember fuck all! My man has the lowest possible intelligence stat without incurring a negative, and also there's holes in his brain.
Had the thought a ways back about the notes you find from Kressa in the Illithid Colony re: the dark urge strangling her with his own intestines. I'm not sure how he was healed from her experiments, if they scarred or how long the marks might last, but my policy is not to turn down shit about durge that's funny/deeply upsetting so here we are. This is the first time I've drawn Gale I think and I love him.
