The thing about the plane confession is that… the only way you can read it as platonic is if incest is just not an option in your mind. Cause like, if the exact same speech came from an unrelated character everyone would immediately assume it’s romantic. In fact, if they wanted to make it explicitly and unambiguously incestuous, there’s not a lot that could be done differently. The whole scene would have to remain as is. Therefore, in a world where Dennis having incestuous feelings for Dee is conceivable, this scene makes it not only possible but straight up likely.
