You say Siren Eddie, I say Diver/Tour Guide Steve

You say Steddie in an aquarium, and I bring you ‘the owners don’t know Eddie’s a siren, and the staff keep going missing. Someone takes him out of the tank so Steve can clean it except they never actually got him out, and he didn’t notice cause the tanks so damn big, so Steve’s stuck in there with this thing that’s been after their staff.’

The aquarium is closed over the weekend too, so unless Eddie releases him, he’ll die when his oxygen goes out.

Something something Eddie makes sure the other fish in the tank stay away, especially the more aggressive ones, and lets steve go when he has thirty minutes of air left.

And since Steve didn’t disappear, the owner keeps assigning him that tank. And Eddie keeps following him around as he cleans up all the bones that are seemingly human, and making jabs that he can barely respond to, plus bringing him some dead fish and shells.

The disappearances continue until the owner is like ‘Okay Robin I need you to go in with Steve to make sure something doesn’t happen to him.’

They get in the tank and Eddie is immediately attempting to murder her, his fins are up gills are flaring, and Steve has to hold him back.

“Stop being so goddamn hostile!!” It comes out warbled and muffled because of the mask, and the fact that they’re in water.

Robins going forward and Eddie is making a shrieking kind of noise, when she gets too close he starts snapping his teeth and Steve pinches him hard.

He stops shrieking, and instead yelps, “Ah, what the fuck man?!”

“You were trying to eat her!”

“What the fuck what the fuck what the fuck…” Robin backtracks to the wall of the tank.

“So? Why’s she even down here? You’re the cleaner.”

“Cause people keep disappearing.”

“We’ve already established I’m not gonna hurt you.”

“Yeah, but they don’t know that. They don’t even know it’s because of you.”

He doesn’t kill her, and she keeps coming to the cleanings but stays far away from Eddie. The disappearances stop, and the owner decides that he doesn’t have to clean the tank as often.

Eddie starts missing him, so whenever Steves in-front of his exhibition, he’ll press his face against the glass and just stare at him creepily.

Maybe it’d be funny if he yelling his name and banging on the glass.

“Steve!”

His eyelid twitches, but he continues with his facts for the kids in-front of him. There’s bangs on the glass behind him. “Hey, I’m talking to you!”

I just think it’d be neat.

Bonus point if the party are all kids who’s parents work there, and they get brought to work everyday after school.

i play a lot of farming games (story of seasons, stardew valley, old harvest moon, etc) and my rotten goblin brain can't stop thinking of two scenarios skks (both somewhat enemies to lovers)

city girl!reader who uproots her life to take over her grandpa's rundown farm and gets on the wrong side of the other farmer in town (kita/daichi/ushijima/your choice) who thinks she's some uppity rich girl that's gonna leave in a month

or the exact opposite with farmer!reader that's beloved in town for their award-winning crops but is constantly butting heads with some young CEO (sakusa/kuroo/your choice) who keeps trying to buy the farm to use the land for development or some shit

Imma write this down in case anyone wants to write a fanfic on it bc I know that if I do it, it probably won't be finished or see the light of day.

HimeRita Fic based off of Beauty and the Beast.

The Cast and the roles:

Basically the story follows Himeno, a college student who recently moved to Japan after living with her grandparents overseas to become a doctor there like her late parents.

Finding it hard to live in the dorms, she goes apartment hunting and finds a posting of another college student looking for a roommate. In comes Rita Kaniska, a law student minoring in political science at the same school. Himeno takes the opportunity since the apartment is a short commute and decides to reach an agreement with Rita and moves in.

And the apartment is a total mess with the only clean parts being designated Himeno spots. But considering rent was within her budget and most of the apartments she found were a further commute or out of said budget, she had to force herself to suck it up.

Not like Rita's closed-off attitude is any better.

A story where a young woman finds herself while living in a new country and the law student who has to find a way to open up to their new roommate.

And have I've mentioned that Rita also has to look for an engagement partner before their 20th birthday?

And joining our lovely duo, we have:

Kaguragi Dybowski - Rita's senior since middle school who often calls them to help work at his family's restaurant when they're short-staffed. Often teases Rita about potential engagement partners if they talk a little too much with a customer. He would later then join the others in trying to get Rita and Himeno together. Rita often punches his gut whenever they pick up his intentions.

Yanma Gast - One of Himeno's classmates in general classes who once tried flirting with her but learned they weren't each other's types. He works in the IT Department as a Student Assistant so he's often seen walking around with tech equipment of faculty laptops that need fixing. He's in a video game guild with Rita so the two are rather courteous around each other on campus. He and Jeramie are often teaming up when scheming how to get the roommates together.

Gira Hastie - a fellow freshman majoring in political science much to his displeasure while minoring in theater. Himeno first meets him and learn they have Humanities together while also learning he's an acquaintance of Rita's. It's then revealed he and his older brother also attended the same middle and high schools as Rita and Kaguragi.

Jeramie Brasieri - A fellow overseas student in Himeno's Humanities class majoring in Literature and minoring in Political Science. He lives with his older cousin while attending school and is very curious about Rita and Himeno being roommates. Moreso after learning of Rita's search for an engagement partner.

Racles Hastie - Gira's older brother who is a Political Science major and works part-time at Toufu Eatery. While curious of the others' schemes, he tends to stay away from them knowing Rita wouldn't hesitate to give him the same treatment they do Kaguragi for even mentioning their situation. Often quite stern with his brother, but can be seen tutoring him when needed since Gira hates his major.

Morfonia - Rita's childhood friend and former roommate who transferred schools closer to her hometown. She actually transferred because of the school's heavy workload and wanted a change of pace. Rita still keeps in contact with her to check up on her.

Suzume Dybowski - Kaguragi's younger sister who works at her family's restaurant as a waitress while also attending culinary school. She can often be seen flirting with Racles despite her brother's protests.

Shiokara - Yanma's childhood friend and roommate. While he's also very curious of the group's matchmaking schemes, he often finds himself trying to cut in if he thinks it's a bad idea.

...yeah.

Oh and to note: KaguRac are both 3rd year college students. Rita, Morfonia, and Suzume are 2nd years. Everyone else are 1st years.

I actually wish the show hadn't made Nancy's storyline mainly focus on her romance this season (again). Like don't get me wrong, she's doing other things and making friends with Robin and all that but her character starts of with one major stresser (the same one as Jonathan) which is her relationship with Jonathan. This plotline for her character seems so contrived from her perspective. I understand Jonathan and his stress around it but Nancy? I just think she could have had a more interesting established stress or person drama then she just is having a hard time in her romamtic relationship. She has become more sure of herself and self motivated since s3 and so there isn't much more on her career storyline. I think they could and should bring back more of the Barb storyline. They did a hit but we don't really get that. More of a flash and then here vision. That and Vecna uses her family to frighten her when trapping her in hopes she'd reach out to tell El but this goes no where. And now this vision is... kind of irrelevant? I can see a way it becomes relevant again but just... agghhh. I wish maybe we could see Nancy struggling more to connect to her family or create bonds with people who aren't in the main storyline. It would be cool to also explore her new friendship with Robin and all that. I think the story just needs to explore Nancy's need to be self dependent and isolationist tendencies and the fact that she probably got this way because she feels like she got her best friend killed. Idk, I just love Nancy and wish she could stop having romance be the force behind a lot of her drama as a character. (S2 had a great balance of this as she struggled with Barbs death while dating Steve still and yeah)
