Day: The fish is named Little Day. Night named it and put it in my room. I never even wanted a fish.

Lmao. Anyway. Jack has a clearly fake plant on his desk. His fanboys are collectively losing their minds over their leader decorating his office with plastic versions of flowers native to Pandora while simultaneously killing the planet. It grows into this symbol of how cold and heartless he is, right?

Only that he doesn't know its fake. It was a gift from Tim, who one day just randomly brought a bunch of plants to Jack's office (he decided that his boss needed enrichment in his enclosure.) All died, except for one. And Jack attaches great importance to this plant, treats it as living proof that he is good for Pandora, or just good in general. Like, this native plant thrives in his office. One day, the whole planet will thrive under his ruling, too.

At some point he even starts watering it regularly and gets a nicer pot for it, always boasting about how its leaves are in perfect condition. Probably names it something really really stupid.

When he finally realises that The Plant is just a crappy piece of plastic? That's the start of one terrible week for everyone at Hyperion. The plant gets airlocked, and countless unfortunate workers follow its fate.

Timothy tries to gift him a replacement flower, Jack immediately throws it in the trash. Neither of them mentions it ever again.

I hope it's okay to post here but I've been giggling about this for over a year now (?)
