Outlast trials x dream team au (cause I love that game so god damn much)
- Dream being a reagent going through the trials mainly keeping to himself cause he's seen what can happen 2 teammates and he doesn't want anymore guilt or trauma
- Sapnap being a newer reagent who has no idea what he's doing in the trials but atleast he's got the strength to fight back a little bit
- both of them seeing that the trials would be easier if they worked together (strength and speed) and forming tentative relations that develop even more (also just an excuse to have a you got hurt let me heal you while some tension grows scene)
- George being a scientist that was blackmailed to be there and he is incharge of watching and evaluating Dream and sap
-and I guess sam can be easterman as a treat to the freaks who like that loser (kidding of course who doesn't love a warden thats gone mad with power)

Magical AU (Manhunt!Dteam) concept :
To be clear, this is only explaining the AU's rules. There's some infos on the dteam but very few (I'm so hesitating between waiting to write the story and just posting the plot bc I won't write that story). This is a simple mix of the hybrid mod and magic and how I put them together.
SO !
This takes place in a regular minecraft world, where villagers reunited under a kingdom. What goes on behind the borders ? No one knows and no one need to care. Life is good there, protected by soldiers and the kingdom's magicians.
Indeed : some individuals receive at birth a mark from spiritual mobs, invisible to all. Those marks manifest themselves later down the human's life by granting them magical abilities. Ex : a sheep touched human can grow back any hair cut after a good meal
The more those powers are used, the more apparent spirits' traits become on the magician's body. Ex : a sheep touched human will grow fur instead of hair, then horns, then hooves
Agressive mobs have more obvious powers and are detected easier, unlike passive mobs (whose chosens often ignore their whole life they were capable of magic). As such, the kingdom's magicians are often chosen by dangerous mobs and have their terrifying traits.
Bad, who is loved by all habitants that are under his watching, is a frightening wither skeleton's touched. His skin is black, his eyes white and souless and a simple touch drain any form of life.
Any new magic touched must be signaled to the magician in charge of their region, who'll then bring them back to the capital and teach them how to use their powers.
Magicians are both honored and cast away : it's glorious to be one but everyone knows they now must devote their life to the castle and the country, far away from their family.
There is also a well kept secret among professionals : each magician got a familiar attributed to them. The familiar is the "magical core" of the magician and their closest ally, with who they share an unbreakable link.
Once the magic potential activated, the familiar will look for their bonded, faintly aware of their direction : the magician can invoke their familiar by concentrating on their core and giving them forms. This abilities is lost once the magician and familiar meet each other
When Dream gets his power, the first thing Bad asks him is if he has a familiar. This is because the most common way to learn about having magic is noticing that core burning inside and pulling on it instinctively, creating the link and activating powers. Dream doesn't. Which means they have few clues to find what kind of spirit touched Dream is : but Bad is confident in Notfound's talent.
