Elf didn’t really care whether or not he’d meet his soulmate; the concept of love and relationships just never really struck him as something interesting

If anything he thought it would just get in the way of his work

His whole mindset changes however the day that he briefly makes eye contact with a passerby while walking and the world is suddenly no longer black and white

He had to admit, his apparent soulmate was rather cute.. so, he decided, fine, why not give it a try?

He takes his soulmate’s hand in his and kisses the back of it with a toothy grin and friendly greeting, stating that it was nice to meet them

“So, we’re soulmates, hm? How’d you like to go out with me and get more acquainted, little cutie?”

🐕 Kenshirou 🐕

Kenshirou always had eyes for the warden, and the unrequited love ate away at his poor longing heart

He eventually ended up giving up all together, accepting that the warden wasn’t his soul mate to begin with, and that he’d probably never find the one

You can imagine his surprise when he suddenly sees color one day, after making eye contact with someone at a coffee shop on the mainland while off work

He realizes with a start, holy shit, he found them. He found his soulmate. He couldn’t believe it.

He steps closer to them and offers a friendly- but slightly nervous- greeting, smiling softly

“It seems we’ve finally found each other.. would you like to sit and chat with me- get to know each other while we eat?”

💎 Momoko 💎

Similarly to Kenshirou, Momoko was befallen with no luck at winning over the one she longed for: Hajime, and eventually accepted defeat

Given her busy job and how she only ever wanted Hajime, she figured she’d never find her true soulmate, and begrudgingly accepted said “fact”

Then, one day, she makes eye contact with a new guard that had started working at Nanba when they came in for a meeting and she’s floored by the color that comes to her vision

She’s completely taken aback and gapes like a fish out of water for a solid few seconds before gaining her composure

She continues the meeting as normal, but as soon as the guard is ready to return to work, she exchanges a final few words;

”Come see me at the end of the day, will you? I’d love to get more aquatinted with you, my dear soulmate.”

Mitsuru

Mitsuru has the best oral skills out of any man in the entire Nanbaka cast. He’s got a longer than average tongue and is really good at knowing how to use it. Not only that, but he never sticks to just the tried and true and switches up his oral techniques enough that it doesn’t begin to feel too same-y, if that makes sense. And he honestly loves giving oral sex to his partner; he makes it really clear, and he will be content with going down on them and eating them like the snack they are, even if actual penetrative sex never happens.

Mitsuru is very vocal during sex. He talks dirty and he doesn’t hold back any noises he feels like making. He’s definitely great at making sure his partner knows he’s enjoying himself, but he can be overly vocal, to be honest, almost to the point where it’s distracting to his lover and instead of being a turn-off, it can pull his lover out of the moment.

Kenshirou

Kenshirou will be an insanely loyal lover who will never, ever give a partner reason to suspect him of cheating. He won’t even watch porn while he’s in a sexual relationship with someone…hell, to go one step further, he’d be appalled at himself if he so much as saw another pair of titties on the internet while he was in a sexual relationship with someone.

The downside is, though, that Kenshirou is oddly prim and proper and quite hesitant when it comes to sex with his lover. He’s never quite sure how to instigate and feels nervous doing so and he does have a set amount of time he thinks is proper to wait before becoming intimate with a new partner and very solid thoughts on what is, and is not, proper regarding sex.

Samon

Samon has a praise kink and any of his lovers will definitely be at risk of developing a huge ego considering all the naughty, dirty, but oddly sweet compliments he will moan out during foreplay and sex. He’s especially good at bolstering the self-esteem of a lover who does have confidence issues because, if he notices this about his lover, he’s going extra hard with both the praise and the body worship he’ll lavish upon them.

That being said, Samon is a busy guy who does get stressed really easily and he’ll either become really uninterested in sex and physical affection when he gets really stressed or he’ll take out that stress on his partner and be surprisingly rough and selfish during sex when he’s going through those periods.

Qi

Qi’s really knowledgeable about all aspects of the human body so he’s fully aware of every erogenous zone on his partner’s body and will make them feel so good using methods his partner would never suspect would make them feel that damn good. He’s also pretty casual about the human body and would be quick to shrug off or dismiss any weird sounds during sex or, if a partner was on their period, or, in another example, if things got a little messy during anal, Qi wouldn’t actually think twice about it and would consider it pretty normal.

However, Qi can be a bit of a lazy lover and he’s very much a pillow princess. He’s more content to let his lover do almost all the work sexually, from expecting them to ride him instead of him having to put in the physical effort to expecting them to instigate more often than he will.

Elf

Sex will definitely be exciting with Elf. He’s anything but boring and that extends to his sexual self. He lives to push boundaries and to explore and he will be open to literally anything sexually. He comes up with insane fantasies and will want to experience every ounce of pleasure he can get or give his partner.

Cons of sex with Elf – there’s always a possibility that you end up dead afterwards but hey, those are the risks you have to accept to have anything to do with this man.

You're good, this is typically how people do request. Some opt for dming people if their dms are open and such. I saw another request about a Mei x reader too, so I'm guessing he's pretty popular.

Gender wasn't specified so I'll just default to gender-neutral to stay as ambiguous as possible.

You work at Shiki with team Elf. It isn't the most glamorous job, but at least you have a roof over your head and food to eat. Your coworkers were a ragtag bunch of people who seemingly didn't get along unless it was in front of the Supervisor. Your boss.

Mei and Ido were the two you hung out with the most. They were the least chaotic and the least disruptive. Your one hobby was baking, and if anyone bothered you, their head would be on a silver platter. It was a cliche threat but it felt like it needed to be cliché.

The thing about Mei, Ido, and you was simply that those outside saw you three as the best of friends. Ido could tell pretty easily that his brother Mei had the biggest crush on his coworker, but was just too much of a coward to tell you.

The maids were cleaning up the dining room after the big dinner get together the boss had with everyone in Shiki. Ido knew you were in the kitchen but didn't tell his brother because of what he was planning. He may not say much and have a poker face 24/7 but beneath that he was a mastermind.

"Oh, it seems I left the towels in the kitchen..." It was so easy to sound upset about something so trivial, easier to get his brother to do something if he feigned being sad.

"Tch, alright. I'll go get them, but stop misplacing them all the time." Mei clicked his tongue and gathered all the plates into his arms. He was annoyed but also glad he finally got a chance to check in and see what you were making.

Busy at the stove stirring something in a pot while the light on the oven showed something in a tin pan, humming while you worked unaware of the assassin who just walked through the doorway. The clatter of plates and silverware in the sink made you practically jump out of your bones, awfully close to the boiling pot Mei caught you fast before accidentally burning yourself.

"Y/n! Be more careful!" He was quick to chastise you and cover up his panic. Of everyone at the laboratory/prison, you were the one he didn't want to get hurt.

Getting hurt changed people and he didn't want it to change you.

"Well... You're the one who walked in without notifying me! You know I don't pay attention to everything around me when I'm baking!" You flicked him in the forehead playfully, pretending to be upset.

"What are you making?"

"It's for later." You were quick to stand in front of the stove, crossing your arms over your chest with a stern look.

"Oh come on, you can't tell me." His eyes got big and sad, a tactic he often used to get at the sweet treats you make before Manji does.

"No, you always try to wrangle the truth out of me mister. Not this time."

"Please!" Mei clasped his hands together.

"Why do you want to know so bad?"

"You always make stuff really well, I want to know what to anticipate."

"Of course," You shook your head with a laugh.

"Oh, pretty please!" Mei begged.

"You're gonna have to do a lot more begging than that." You snorted.

"Ugh, fine." He rolled his eyes, clearly not giving in.

Ido leaned against the doorway, giving himself a pat on the back watching the two of you talk. He felt accomplished about something that had nothing to do with killing. There was a sense of happiness that radiated from setting up his brother with someone.

"I mean, I could beg in a lot more ways than one." Mei surprised you, he knew what he was doing.

"That's so... You're an idiot."

"What do you mean? I am completely competent."

"I didn't say you weren't competent." You sighed.

"But I mean, hey, I'm your idiot at least."

"My what..."

"Did I say that out loud?"

"Yes, yes you did."

"I know that!" Mei huffed, his face was turning red.

"Then why did you ask?!"

"Because I'm flustered!"

"You're flustered?! You basically confessed to me!"

"I didn't, but do you want me too?"

Now you both were yelling about something neither of you needed to yell about. Anyone near could practically hear the two of you at this point.

"Yes."

"...What?"

"I said, yes."

"To what?" He tilted his head.

"I'm not going to say it again."

"No, seriously."

"I'm not saying it." You stood your ground.

"Ugh, fine. I like you." He muttered.

"What was that?"

You couldn't help but grin and cup your hand by your ear, leaning toward him.

"I like you."

"Oh, really? I couldn't tell."

"What?! You could tell?!"

"Dude, it was obvious. I like you too, duh. Every wonder why we bicker like a married couple?"

Mei stared at you. Face a good, bright shade of red. He didn't move a muscle, if this was a dream he was too scared to wake up. Then Ido knocked something over in the background and he jumped right into you, the both of you landing in a heap on the floor.

There was no way Mei would be able to live down the embarrassment now.

It feels so rushed and I'm so so sorry if it seems that way, I didn't have a plot starting out and just stuck with not having a plot. It may not be exactly what you want, but I do hope you enjoyed it!

How old is Elf?

Is Elf a teenager the same age as Jyugo? Or a much older man whose age does not match his appearance? I don’t know how many people have seriously thought about this question… But I’m one of those who really thought about it, and did a little research, re-reading the entire manga from beginning to end… From Elf’s first appearance, his meeting with Jyugo, chapters about Noriko Sanzou's past, and right up to the very final chapters, which also contain some information regarding how old our pointy-eared friend is. And I should note that this actually gave me a more or less clear answer to my question. Well… I'll lay out the facts. First of all, I think we should pay attention to the fact that Jyugo, during his first meeting with Elf, literally tells us about his age:

"I've never seen a guard around the same age as me before… Even if I assume he's an inmate, there shouldn't be anyone besides me who can get out…" Jyugo tells us that Elf is definitely a teenager. Or Jyugo mistook him for a teenager… Okay, let's not rush to conclusions. After all, the chapters that contain information about Noriko Sanzou's past tell us otherwise. As far as we know, Noriko Sanzou is 30 years old at the time of the events of Building 5. She is a grown woman, but Elf was present in her past, and he seemed to be her age, a little boy.

In this case, it would seem that the theory that he is a teenager is crumbling. This is logical, yeah. However, regarding Noriko’s age and appearance, not everything is as clear as it seems… Because next to her all this time was her younger brother Houdzuki, who is 8 years younger than his sister, but also looks almost the same age as her.

And if Houdzuki at the time of these chapters, for example, is 8 years old, then Noriko is 16… Thus, the chapters about Noriko Sanzou’s past cannot give us an accurate assessment of whether Elf is really her same age in childhood or not, because her appearance is completely does not exactly match her age and misleads us. In addition, apparently, Noriko saw Elf not in reality, but in her dream. (Chapter 132)

However, I propose to follow further, bypassing the profile of Elf from the anime, where his age is indicated as 16 years old… Much further.

So...

In chapter 422, we are shown none other than the moment of Elf's creation… Isou, Mashiro and Hiiro are near a large scarlet test tube, talking about a child who once existed, and whose cells were a panacea for all diseases.

And as far as we can see, this moment occurs some short time after Jyugo's birth, since Mashiro talks about Elf's "incompleteness" at the moment when Hiiro learns that he injected Elf's cells into Jyugo's body. (Unfortunately there is no English translation here, sorry)

And finally… Based on all this I can conclude: Elf is not just a teenager like Jyugo, he is even a little younger than Jyugo, and he is certainly not a grown man. And who knows, perhaps in chapter 61 Elf’s phrase that in the past he and Jyugo played a lot together has the most direct meaning… ;)

And for the last fandom for this fandom prompt, I'm hitting a fandom of mine that kind of desperately could use a lot more love than it currently gets, Nanbaka! It's part of why I love creating for it so much, because I do feel it doesn't get the love or attention it should! For anyone wondering, my lovelies, I have about six more fandom prompts I plan on throwing up soon and then I'm hoping to get at least one, but possibly two, good quality responses to a request out before shit-posting some gif reactions/non-gif reaction headcanons for various fandoms that I have kicking around.

Who I will protect at all costs: Nico is a precious treasure. He’s gone through so much that he shouldn’t have had to but he’s still so cheerful and sweet and pure and just…ugh, I want all the good things for him.

Who deserves better: Shiro! So many people seem scared of him but he’s just a gentle giant who loves cooking!

Who was killed off too early: Nobody. Absolutely nobody that my mind can come up with at all. Nanbaka really did start out as a comedy, after all.

Who I used to hate but now I love: I hated Honey at first. Just something about him really irked me with his first appearance but I did really grow to enjoy him. I don’t quite love him as much as some other characters but he definitely grew on me.

Who I used to love but now I hate: There’s nobody who fits that bill because, while there’s character’s I mildly dislike, there’s none I absolutely despise, to be honest with you all.

Who needs to be killed off asap: I think it’s just because of my own personal feelings, but Inori could disappear forever, and I genuinely would not care.

Who is unfairly hated: There is really nobody, either by the writer or by the fandom. I won’t question the writer’s decisions for their own story, and I firmly believe that everyone has the right to feel however the feel about fictional characters, love or hate!

Who is unfairly loved: See the answer above.

Who needs to sort out their priorities: Oh, so many but I’ll go with the notable one. While I understand a lot of where Enki was coming from and why he did what he did, I also feel there were vastly better ways to handle it all. The way he did what he did was shit and it left lasting repercussions for those around him.

Who needs a hug: Samon. I really feel Samon would benefit from a daily hug. He really does get the brunt of it and isn’t respected enough. Also, the group from his building that we see a lot of, that is Liang, Qi, and Upa, also qualify for this.

Who needs to get out of their current relationship: Either Elf or the man with the scar. Those two together are toxic and take everything horrible about the other and amplify it, at least the way I view and see it, with the headcanons I have.

Who the writers love: Honestly, it’s Jyugo. However, he is the main protagonist, so it is only natural and they definitely don’t fall into the trope of making him just this incredible person with no flaws. I actually really enjoy his character and don’t mind the amount of focus he gets, though my heart, as with most of my fandoms, belongs to the minor characters.

Who needs a better storyline: A lot of characters honestly. I’m not fully caught up in the manga, so there is a chance a lot of the characters got more fleshed out and got character development, but a lot of the minor characters could use more focus. Even ones we really should know more about, like Mitsuru, don’t really have full storylines or fleshed out characters yet. However, Nanbaka did start out mostly as a gag manga, so I can get the reasoning behind why they don’t.

Who has an amazing redemption arc: I don’t think it counts as a full out redemption arc, considering there wasn’t really a lot of backstory or build up to it, but I liked seeing Qi’s character growth from his introduction to where he is now.

Who is hot as fuck: No lies, there’s just something about Rock that really does it for me.

Who belongs in jail: So yeah, funny thing…most of them kind of are in jail? Or guarding a jail. So, this question for this fandom is kind of a moot point, haha!

Who needs to be revived from the dead: I really don’t have an answer for this in this particular show/manga, honestly. The only person I can think of that I would really like to see more of, that doesn’t get much screen-time and could kind of fit this category, is Jyugo’s father. I feel like there’s a really interesting story there that would be well worth reading or watching.

hey so how dose Elf being a sadist who’s ruined people lives and felt no remorse, get turned into a guy willing to go the distance for Yn. Cause I have read a few oneshots and all of them boil down to “Elf protecting Yn, or being head over heels for them” without his toxic traits. Which is kinda problem when a good percent of his character is being a walking red flag.
