can i hear about your god au?

Yes, you may, and I am now going to ramble about it :D

I'm gonna turn it into a series of fics soon (It's called Breaking Prophecies and Fulfilling Them) so if you don't want lore spoilers, you can wait, I guess .w.

So basically, the God of Knowledge (Sci, because whenever something goes wrong, people go to him) has the ability to know about the future and he doesn't like spitting out prophecies because people tend to hyper-fixate on them

I mean, just look at Bruno from Enchanto and you'll understand how he feels

But when Sci gets startled, the prophecies tend to slip out and in this AU, there are two main prophecies

Darkness will rise and be purged by the Sun's chosen

Darkness is not good, obviously, and the Gods would like it if their worshippers were not threatened because they need to draw their power from somewhere

However, Sci accidentally lets another prophecy slip when he hears the God of Fear (Nightmare, obviously) has some fun with a mortal (Killer) and gives birth to a demi-god

The Sun's chosen will be deterred from defeating the darkness by the child of the moon

Crescent realizes the other gods don't like him except he doesn't know it's because of his prophecy since Nightmare didn't tell him and thinks it's because of his mortal lineage :(

So he goes to the mortal realm with the God of Marriage and Fertility's help (Lust, who treats him like a grandson) and meets Cross, a demon who has been raised in slavery

Cross was beginning to lose hope in the Gods because he kept praying for one of them to help him get free from this mistreatment and did not receive an answer until Crescent came along and helped him, inadvertently preventing Cross's villain backstory

Cross no longer has a reason to be mad at the Gods (as he thinks Crescent is a minor one because he recognizes the language he speaks as the gods' language, even if he can't understand it) and instead wants to pay back Crescent's help by serving him because that is what he was raised to do, after all, and Crescent is good to him, unlike the people he has served in the past

Crescent does not realize that Cross is attempting to serve him and thinks that they're friends now, which he is very happy about because who doesn't want friends?

They later meet Swap, a priest who was given a mission by the God of Joy (Dream, of course) to kill a very specific demon

Swap eventually realizes this demon is Cross, but is very confused because Cross doesn't seem very hostile unless you threaten Crescent, which Swap would never plan on doing because that's not who he is and even if it was, he also thinks Crescent is a fully-fledged God and no priest wants to get on a God's bad side

He starts ignoring Dream's wishes to kill Cross, telling him that he won't kill someone who has done no harm to anyone which in turn confuses Dream because this demon is literally prophecied to attempt to destroy the world

He then begins to look into things and once he realizes what's going on, he thinks it's the funniest thing ever and waits for the other gods to figure out what's happened

Meanwhile, Nightmare's looking for his son who has apparently become an adventurer

This entire AU hinges on a bunch of silly misunderstandings, none of which are actually harmful because we all need a little crack treated seriously in our lives sometimes :3

Magic Trick | Camilo × Gender Neutral Reader

About a day ago, your best friend, the Camilo Madrigal declared that he'll learn a magic trick that will surprise you (not involving his gift ofc), and you, as the oh-so-supportive best friend you are, laughed at his antics and just shook your head.

"What? You don't think I could do it?" He grinned at you, "Guess I'll just have to prove you wrong, Cariño."

"Oh? I'd like to see you try, Hermoso." You gave a shit-eating grin, because there's no way in hell you're backing down even if you can feel your cheeks burning.

Well, that was yesterday. Now you're just waiting for Camilo at your usual spot under a tree, and oh was he late. You started staring at the clouds as memories of Camilo came flooding in, you couldn't stop the smile forming on your face as you remembered your first meeting with the shapeshifter.

"Excuse you, I got here first!" Your 7-year-old Self stomped your foot at the boy infront of you.

He shapeshifted into you and just laughed, "Guess we both got here first, well you know because I'm you now." He was expecting you to throw another tantrum but was shocked to hear you laughing instead.

"I guess you're right, that was smart. It caught me off-guard." You composed yourself as you wiped a tear from your eye from laughing. "I'm Y/N by the way."

He smiled as he held out his hand, "And I'm-"

"Camilo Madrigal." You cut him off and smiled as you shook his hand. "Everybody knows you."

Ever since then, you and Camilo have been hanging out everyday. You got to know parts of him that nobody else knew, and before you knew it... you were inlove with the shapeshifter but never did you once consider telling him how you feel. You never wanted to risk what both of you had, you never wanted to risk losing Camilo.

"Hello? Earth to Y/N?" You snapped out of your thoughts as you saw Camilo waving his hand infront of you, chuckling. "Geez, Cariño I thought you were sleeping with your eyes open or something."

You playfully rolled your eyes and giggled, "And care to tell me why you're late, Hermoso?"

"What, can't a guy make his hair fabulous?" He jokingly bounced his curls as he held out his hand, motioning for you to stand up.

You gave him a questioning look as you took it, "Okay pretty boy, but why make me stand up?"

"How can I show you the magic trick that will make you eat your words from yesterday if you don't stand up?"

"Well, you can do it while I'm sitting?"

"Oh my god, Cariño-"

"Okay okay, I'm co-operating." You laughed, "Just start Hermoso."

"Okay then, left or right?" He asked as he held out both his hands infront of you. You looked at him in disbelief, "Seriously? That's your magic trick?"

"Oh come on, it's so easy to pick Cariño." You shrugged and contemplated which one to pick, "Hmmm, left."

He slowly lifted his left hand to stroke your cheek lovingly before moving to push back some stray strands of your hair behind your ear. This caught you waaaayyyyy off-guard and you can feel your system go out of control: heart beating, cheeks burning, mind dying-

"Camilo, what are you doing?" You tried to ask casually but also didn't even bother stopping him, he chuckled and pulled back his left hand to reveal a red rose.

You gasped in shock as you looked around you for more tricks. "Okay Hermoso, I didn't expect you to do a smooth job there."

"That's not all Cariño."

"There's more?"

He nodded as he softly took your hand and placed the flower between yours and his. You stared at him with pure curiosity (while tryharding to stop blushing) as he held up both of your hands infront of you.

"One rose for the decade I have spent with you. Two hands for the happiness I wish for you, and three words for the feelings I have for you. Y/N, I love you."

Now you were really shocked, you just stood there and stared at his face as he chuckled, "Guess I finally made you speechless huh?"

You finally processed what he said and started tearing up as you immediately tackled him into a hug, "Camilo Madrigal, I love you too."

"Cariño, you have no idea how long I've been waiting for this." He couldn't stop the smile forming on his face nor his heart's uncontrollable beating, knowing that the person he loved for ten years is finally his under the same tree they first met.

I saw a fic or two about this concept but I think it's just hilarious. Either Camilo or Dolores notices a certain city boy visiting his family in Enchanto for the summer paying special attention to Mirabel and her flirting right back. Cue all the older cousin/sibling hijinks to spy on Mirabel and the boy. We have

The command center for operations: Boyfriend? For Mirabel? No on our Watch😌 has the command center in Dolores room. All cousins/sibling shall meet there after dinner to update one another about the infor gathered that day.

Shotgun Luisa

Camilo constantly changing in Mirabel or the boy's family member to get the scoop on him and his intentions with his lil (by 5 month lol) cousin

Isabel constantly having cacti or big bushy plant grow in between Mirabel and the boy to separate them (aka the save room for aloe vera method)

Antonio and Dolores are in charge of spying on dates.

Anyway I love your blog and fics and this was just floating in my head and I think you may enjoy it.

I'm gonna make an Enchanto fanfic based off an AU idea I had. I just need help with 2 things. 1: Who's older, Luisa or Isabela(I think Luisa because of her song says she's older, but she could be referring to being older to Mirabel and the fanbase tends to think Isabela is older though IDK why), and 2: Who should the Point of View be? It can't be Mirabel, in the AU fic, she managed to run away at age of 10 and make it... er, far enough away over the mountains that Dolorus can't hear her. I don't want the PoV to be Dolorus because of all the dialogue she must be hearing. (Once again I was thinking Luisa, but then again, I suck a making decisions)

1.) isabela's older. it's canon she was the firstborn grandchild of the madrigals and because of that, abuela has somewhat of a favoritism towards her compared to the others (add on to that the fact she looks like a younger alma).

2.) either camilo or luisa would be good; mostly camilo because i can imagine they're still sorta close at that age but luisa would be great too. your choice, really.

I actually heard that there may be an enchanto series comin 👀 im not 100% sure but-

i did hear that one of the writers/directors would like for encanto to have a disney+ series someday!! i don’t think that means we’re for sure getting one, and after all it took tangled 7 years to get a series released, but it definitely makes me more hopeful that we will. there’s so many things i would love to see like more of what isabela and luisa and their relationships with mirabel are like now that they feel more free to be themselves, what the entire family’s hobbies are outside of things solely related to their gifts, bruno (re)connecting with everyone, development for dolores and mariano both individually and as a couple, more camilo and antonio content... there’s definitely a lot of potential with this family and their world and i feel like the movie itself is gonna stay popular enough that people would watch a series if we do get one.

onward, though, i am far less optimistic about simply because it came out at the start of the pandemic, had a lot of bad press with the whole “disney’s millionth first gay character” thing, and consequently bombed and less than 2 years later has a fandom of approximately 5 people lol. i would be so happy to see even just a short or two for it but maybe someday!! at least for now there’s an ongoing onward the fanmade series fic that i’ve been meaning to read for ages and am definitely gonna get around to soon now that i’m getting back into it.

I’m close to finishing the first volume of Scum Villain’s Self Saving System which has been an absolute delight to read as of late. I honestly can’t wait for the second volume to come out in English since I’ve enjoyed it so thoroughly.

I’ve also just started rereading Qi Ye for the group read over at @immortalwanderers, and will be restarting Tian Ya Ke next week too.

Annnd I’m about to start Winter in Sokcho by Elisa Shua Dusapin, which has been a recommendation from a friend on twitter. I’m very excited about diving into it!

Recently just finished some of my winter backlog so I’m in a bit of a media transference phase, but current shows are Nirvana in Fire and Book of Boba Fett.

I would be watching this season of RuPaul’s Drag Race too if they hadn’t taken it off Netflix and shoved it onto their own streaming service :< Still need to finish Canada’s Drag Race season 2 before UK Vs. The World kicks off.
