DEATH ISLAND SPOILER ⚠️⚠️
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I love how in this scene, Leon's answer is so different than the Redfields making him not the most typical protag hero but just a realistic man who need to obey all of his boss' order to make living.
I also liked the sibling connection between the Redfields (this is just the second time we saw them in frame together on canon timeline. We need more). Chris' concern about Claire while he actually needs to worries about himself at the moment

Why the FUCK is 'isle' as in walking down the 'aisle' in a wedding spelt AISLE.
WHY.
WHERE DID THE 'A' COME FROM?!?!
I am not looking for answers, I already googled it. I am just ranting.

[seething] it’s err on the side of caution not AIR, for fuck’s sake— “to err” means to be incorrect or to make a mistake; the saying meaning that you’re being overly cautious to the point of making a mistake, how the Fuck does “air” work in this context!!!!

Hi! My name's Willow, and I think I'm going to be using this account to post about my conlang that I've been creating for a few years now, that I've reluctantly named Genthralun. (Which translates to Genthra speak)
I'd still say it's in its earlier stages because I definitely feel like I have a long way to go for it to feel complete, but language is fluid and is always building on itself, so maybe I'll never feel done with it.
It's intended purpose is to be the main language in my fantasy novel that I've been writing for a while. I do use it for other purposes (like annoying my friends and feeling cool) but it's main use is still to be what I had designed it to be, and hopefully that goal will come to fruition with me making something out of the world in my head.
A little backstory for understanding Genthralun:
The novel that I'm creating Genthralun for is a world super far into the future from some sort of magical disaster that happened to earth. I'm not entirely sure what kind of disaster it will be yet, but it will be one that would demolish most life on the planet. The new world will be sort of watched over by the Deyas'si ('si' is the suffix for plural), who are godlike beings. They were in the later stages of the earthpocalypse, and tried to save the humans along with other life (but mostly humans). The Deyas'si created a few new sentient species based(?) off of humans, and they gave/helped them create Genthralun, which is also based(?) off of human languages.
There is a lot of similarities to English in Genthralun, seeing as how English is my first and only fluent language (for now). I have implemented things from other languages, and I've also obviously implemented things from my mind.
As of right now (the 22nd of December, at 11:51pm PST, in the year 2023), I have around 570 words (not including words with suffixes and prefixes and all that), but I'm hoping by the time my wishing-to-be-god phase is over, I'll at least triple that number.
Anyways, thank you for reading! I will update something sometime, maybe, possibly someday!
Yua kyitry kitgapoh goh tyenfa shia althenr!
(I hope to see you soon!)

I have beef with the word sneaked. Why is that ever grammatically correct? Why is it not snuck? Fuck the English language.

I don’t envy the fucker who ends up tasked with explaining to aliens how words change meanings when we repeat them twice but in a slightly different tone to convey a specific meaning.
“He wasn’t like mad-mad.”
“It was a surprise but not like a surprise-surprise.”
“Well I don’t need-need it.”

Why, if In the word ‘faux’ the ‘aux’ makes an ‘ō’ sound, does it not make the same sound in ‘auxiliary’ and sound like ‘ōiliary?’
‘Bring in the ōiliary power!”
