what r ur thots on Fubuki roping Tatsu into doing something with the main gang (Sai, Genos, King, Mumen and maybe Bang & Bomb) to do smth together and her gradually getting closer to them all and finding actual people she can rely on and trust and omg I'm having so many thoughts about this

First off: Y E S!

Second: I misread this at first and thought you were calling me a thot-

But, back to the idea: I love it. Tatsumaki would be so annoyed with it at first, only putting up with it because it her little sister's friends. But slowly she starts becoming friends with them all.

Saitama because his sense of humor (and by that I mean his typically dry humor) is hilarious most of the time and he's just good to talk to, surprisingly. He doesn't sugarcoat anything, and he says it how it is. Blunt, to-the-point, realistic, and shockingly wise sometimes.

Genos because his eccentricity and generally over-the-top behavior is fun to watch + she already had a leveled sense of respect for the borg after the Garou incident. The kid is all over the place in a sense thaf he would do anything if it meant going above and beyond. And while it's also funny to see, it also makes him (for the most part) reliable. His approach to heroing is also nice to see cuz half the people she works with she feels doesn't take any part of their job seriously.

King because he's very "calm" and down to earth, which is exactly the type of person she like the most (not specifically in a romantic sense, but it's also not unlikely). He's chill, sorta of similar to Saitama but with a more... emotional charm? Like, she feels she can look to him for advice (although she [probably] never would), more so than she can with anybody else. And King in general just has this energy around him that keeps her collected. Like an anchor, almost.

Mumen because his enthusiasm and golden heart is honsstly super refreshing (although she'd never admit to that). What with working in the Hero Association, dealing with them along side boring monsters and irritating peers, Mumen finds enjoyment in his job—has a passion for it. And while she thinks his optimism is sometimes detrimental to C-Class, she admires his friendliness and constant desire to help people. God knows how little of that she sees in the hire classes.

And Bang and Bomb because Bang has a sort of parental vibe while Bang is like that amusing uncle who's the annoying older brother of the dad. Their dynamic is annoying, but in that sort of affectionate way. Bang is this old guy always trying to give lessons and be... well, parental. And Bomb is an older guy that just likes to fuck around while still caring for Bomb. Sometimes she feels jealous that she never had that kind of bond with Fubuki, but she's not the kind of person to resent those old guys for it. Instead, she just silently admires it. Some of Bomb's jokes are funny, too.

And honestly? As a collective, it's so goddamn fun hanging around these bunch of weirdos. Every time she sees them it's always something batshit going on, everytime they're around there's entertaining chaos she's grown used to. They rope her into it all the time after the first time Fubuki did it, but at this point she doesn't mind it. And she can see why her little sister loves these idiots.

Qiyana’s sisters ~ headcanons

Inessa, the Vigilant, Heir to the Throne of Yun Tal.

Qiyana’s eldest sister maintained her throne after her sister made her disabled – I cannot render it here but she will be – and possesses an enchanted chair that she uses to travel instead. She remains fretful of Qiyana and keeps an eye on her, but at the same time puts her kingdom before anything else.

Cielo and Nohemi:

Cielo was always brought up in Inessa’s shadow and sees taking the throne as a concrete possibility – after all the life of an empress is dangerous. She's however not that cruel to concretely attempt anything, and prefers to do her best in the position she's in now.

Nohemi, instead, uses her position to fulfill her true dream and pursue her studies – she’s versed in literature, poetry, geography and history, as well as diplomacy and the laws. She prefers to keep to herself and would rather not have the throne in the unfortunate circumstance that both her elders may leave her. She’s wise, pondered and a great asset to Yun Tal. In the unfortunate case both her sisters died she'd be greatly welcomed.

Beatriz and Amanda:

Beatriz is mostly a presence. She's the first of the princesses who never saw the throne as a concrete possibility for her, but still relished in enough attention and luxury for it to become a part of her character. She favors clothes and jewels over anything else, and despite being a very necessary social presence at court, seems more preoccupied with fine silks and heavy necklaces than with politics.

Amanda instead pushed herself into combat. She became a very accomplished elementalist – albeit not on Qiyana’s level – and represents the greatest advantage Yun Tal has in combat aside from her. She's the glue that holds the family together – typical middle sister – and is Qiyana's greatest supporter for goodness.

Esperanza and Mara:

With Qiyana busy plotting her rise, Esperanza has become the black sheep of the family. She openly vouches for contact with the Piltovians – presenting herself as Esper to make her name more palatable to the invaders – and pursues a lifestyle that distances herself from her culture. The blonde hair are a dye job.

Poor, sweet, innocent Mara. She really thought she did something when she became a prefect. After the mess that was made by her sister (unbeknownst to her) she's taken to retreat, prayer and general apathy. A lot of sisters are there to support, but the trauma was great. She focuses on volunteering to get a hold of herself.

Belen and Soledad:

Belen has made herself content and thrives away from the throne. She met someone, got married with great pomp and became a smaller, but satisfied noble.

Soledad has resigned herself to a state of worthlessness. Qiyana is a danger to society, but at least she's clever and powerful. She's... mostly there, looking for a purpose and a place to thrive. It's not there yet but... the future is a mystery.

lae'zel and esper do morning exercises and meditation together. most of the time they pass the time in silence, but sometimes they're joined by the local wildlife. esper is a great fan of showing their friends things they might find interesting as a form of affection instead of words, especially with lae'zel, since they have a common discomfort with small talk.

esper doesn't like looking at themself in the mirror, so their makeup is always ancient and haphazardly applied, a fact that distresses the more image-conscientious shadowheart. she and esper have a sibling-like relationship fuelled by mutual amnesia and goth solidarity, among other things, but sometimes a sister has to take it upon herself to fix her stinky sibling's wings.

i already expanded on wyll and esper's dynamic a bit in this piece and i didn't feel like drawing the same thing twice, but suffice it to say, they have absolutely no idea how to talk to each other, but still look out for each other. the joke here is about how i've done a couple of long rests in-game with just alcohol i've found. hey 5 camp supplies is 5 camp supplies

gale said way back in act 1 that esper reminded him of tara, and esper isn't leaning into that on purpose per se, but as i said for lae'zel, they like getting their friends things those friends might enjoy. they also love chaos. show your evocation wizard some love by bringing him extremely destructive spells to play with. show your durge some love by casting chain lightning and letting them watch

i have no justification for this one lmao. esper isn't a Huge fan of being picked up and hefted around like a sack of oats, but maybe they should've thought of that before being small and scoop-uppable. socially, esper and halsin don't click especially well, but esper is fundamentally a creature, and therefore pretty easy for halsin to understand. obviously they don't mind that much :J

esper and karlach voted two most touch-starved nerds in faerun, they help each other cope by sleeping in a cuddle pile like cats. karlach runs warm even after getting her engine tuned up, but esper doesn't mind. she's cozy

astarion is by far the person esper is the most verbal with, probably because he's the only one who really thinks the durgeisms that slip out are funny and #relatable. everyone else errs on the side of caution with esper, but astarion knows he's allowed to take liberties with them, and he does. they have the same sense of humour. these two freaks are completely insufferable together because they're vibing so hard on a level incomprehensible to everyone around them, but astarion can put a stop to esper's self-destructive internal stress engine, and esper can drag him into helping and working hard. the others have no choice but to tolerate them as a couple because no matter how unhinged they are as a unit, they're so much worse for society on the whole as individuals. do not separate them

Age swap Serizawa and Tome edit

Plus some ideas I wrote about it below after talking at lenght about it with @acekindaneat

Tome runs spirits and such but keeping herself at a small distance because she’s terrified of sharing with other people and being dismissed so it’s a way of doing things “herself” but she’s not a psychic even though she wants to be and she needs People. Because of this she’s a little more interested in pursuing urban legends cases, haunting cases, or mysteries and tends to be disappointed if there is a normal explanation for it

Serizawa is a former shut in who was coaxed out by Tome after his mom hired her (since she claimed to be a psychic consultant) and is currently “training” him in his abilities. He just moved to a new middle school and is very anxious about being a member of society and fitting in without losing control again

Reigen is a year below Serizawa at their school and acts like a normal student during class hours and is well liked but not close to anyone but after hours he spends his time trying to “become someone of note” because he feels isolated by the norms of society. He keeps getting obsessed with and switching hobbies every other week. His current one when the story starts is private investigation. His sister is a year above Serizawa and is a top student

Mob is a NEET in who hid himself away after his powers caused several accidents and fractured his relationship with his younger brother. He only leaves to get amenities and he relies on his parents support or on a work at home job for money

Dimple is a new spirit who doesn’t know what his place in the world is yet. He doesn’t have a human form or memories but he still has human desires and impulses so he feels out of place in it.

-Serizawa finds Reigen researching into the LOL cult after he joined it hoping to make some friends and they both get sucked into the supernatural conspiracy behind it. Reigen realizes Seri is a psychic and decides he’s now into the occult and demands his boss hire him and drags him to Tome’s office

- Tome meeting adult Mezato and then coming to blows ala Reigen and Roshuuto because Tome is annoyed that Mezato is seeking out the occult “because she’s bored”

-Serizawa being cajoled by Toichirou to join his little gang and Serizawa actually enjoying it and seeing claw as his friends even tho he felt guilty about hurting other gang members but “it’s okay because Master Kurata says it’s okay to protect yourself from bad people right?” Also he was given the umbrella as a gift and Tome and Reigen notices how much Seri’s been using it and Tone mostly goes “huh you’re skills are coming along ig” because while shes supportive she also isn’t very attentive and Reigen’s more suspicious because seirzawa is spending less time with him. Due to being scared that his first real friend would leave him, Reigen is a little threatened by that so he lashes on seri. They argue and seri stops hanging with reigen. Then reigen feels bad and decides to apologize and gets caught by Toichi + co in a small hazing ritual to get seri to stop comparing himself as the same level as “commoners” by denouncing his friendship with a nonesper. So then they fight when seri refuses to and finally seri insists that he doesn’t have to be stronger or weaker than anyone else to get to have proper connections and he breaks the umbrella saving Reigen from crossfire

And then later Reigen feels bad about everything (and he also realizes Toichirou was right that he was only friends with seri because he was an esper) so he gives seri some pokemon cards playing it off by saying he had those laying around his room and gets thrown off when Seri is openly emotional about it and hugs him. Meanwhile Toichirou is reevaluating everything because everyone sort of ditched him after he wasn’t giving them smth in return (except Hatori sort of lol- Hatori likes his presence Enough and the StuCo leader Joseph who was trying to get him suspended)

Minegeshi is like 20 here and runs a flower shop that the kids hang out in. It’s probably destroyed now. Sorry my dude.

-Reigen wanting to search for the dragger after his sister tells him he can’t keep “goofing around” otherwise his parents will force him to settle on an proper interest

-Some kids hiring Tome to find a “ghost” that lives on their street and it ended up being Mob who refuses to interact with them in a meaningful way. Seri makes it his mission to help him. Serizawa wants to ‘prove’ hes better now by helping someone like him but then he and Mob make a connection and Serizawa understands that he has to let Mob accept himself and make that step himself.

Also Tome shows Mob the benefits of releasing one’s emotions in a safe space.

-Reigen and Mob meet at the office and really hit it off

-Teru hiring the gang to come exercise a spirit in his TV studio and he and Mob end up fighting because he thought he was the best esper ever, you know the deal. And meanwhile Tome and the kids deal with the spirit of Mogami who was a psychic child star that haunted Teru and possessed Minori because he’s jaded by people who lie and use others to get notoriety

-Roshuuto is like a wannabe popular kid that annoys the hell out of Reigen because he pretends to be people’s friends and dumps them for someone better and now he’s trying to do occult stuff for clout

-Hoshida is an exorcist without any powers that we know of but he’s really nice and genuinely cares about helping others. He’s one of Tome’s informants

-Separation arc where Tome closed spirits and such briefly after Serizawa leaves to “be a normal kid” for a while because she thinks she won’t find anything meaningful about the paranormal she was searching for because she’s only humoring people- it ends up with her meeting people from middle and highschool she fell out of touch with because of simmilar things and her realizing she should continue to do whatever she loves and she should also pay more attention to the kid who she genuinely cares for and vice versa even if he isn’t going along with her whims 24/7

-Mob trying to reconnect with Ritsu

-Confession arc where Serizawa injures his mother in an incident after he thought he was doing “better” so he runs away and has to confront his own powers- and Tome having to come to an understanding with him too

I really love this anime addition because it demonstrates how mature and responsible Ritsu actually is. Because if my city was torn to shreds and I found my sister’s bag next to a crash site with a massive pool of her blood on the ground, i would be losing my entire shit. there would be two rampaging espers running around lol. How do I start beef with an eldritch god of the sea?

I have some bloodborn type stuff that I need to get done, and don't know where to start.

Angering an ancient god can be dangerous, but if you should wish to do so, they aren't too difficult to piss off. Try the following list of things that can enrage the great old ones:

Disturb their slumber: Most elder gods are not dead, but dreaming. If you sound an alarm clock or loud music in their area, this can invoke their wrath. Try also a loud motorcycle, or crying baby.

Deface their idols: Nearly all gods have every season of American Idol on DVD, and scratching their discs will make them skip during the performances. This will surely bring down their hatred on you.

Kill the god's favorite animals: Most gods will not care if you kill their human followers, but if you massacre the animals sacred to that deity, they will be pissed. There are no records of storms at sea before the invention of whaling, and there are no records of political corruption before the snakes were driven from Ireland. These are due to the vengeance of the whale god Payakan and the snake god Thulsadoom, respectively.

Usurp their fanbase: Most gods are jealous, as seen in the film "Jealous Gods" which happens to be free to watch on YouTube and Vimeo. If you torment a god by stealing their worshipers, they will almost certainly wreak havoc on you and those you love.

Move the triad of statues out of alignment: If you invade the esper realm and raise the floating continent, then use the light of judgment to burn your dissenters or even for your own amusement, the returners will likely defeat you and magic will fade from the world. Or something, I don't know, I never played Skyrim.

Have sex with their spouse: From Greece to Egypt to Rome and beyond, sleeping with the spouse of a god tends to end poorly for all involved. This excludes of course the god Polyculus, patron of ethical non-monogamy. Sleeping with a spouse of Polyculus generally just entitles the participant to use the Sacred Shower of Lavacrum, and if needed, the Holy Lozenges of Desogestrel. Jesus is also married to like a million lonely nuns and hasn't smote me yet for what I did with Sister Redgrave and her convent...

Profane their sacraments: Many worshipers of the ancient ones will ingest various substances to commune with them. By ruining these sacred substances, you incur their ire. Just be sure you know what will work for which deity, because I know a guy who angrily threw fish guts on a sacrament of Dagon and now he's their high priest cuz Dagon fuckin' LOOOOOVED that shit. Like... In a creepy way.

Top Ten Manga

It’s been a minute since I last uploaded a top ten of any kind, Grad school will do that to you. However, now with my studies almost over I thought I would revisit my top ten manga and see what new titles have amazed me! 

-Note I am not including Webcomics so if you want Manhwa and the like let me know and I will make a separate list. 

10. Sakamoto Days

Starting off with a bang we have Sakamoto Days. In a world of assassins even a mild mannered fat store clerk could be a tough challenge. That is definitely true for Sakamoto the former top assassin in Japan. Watch as Sakamoto is targeted by Esper's, Triad members, and old friends as he battles to protect his home and his daughter. It’s a fantastic read and great for the action lover and comedian a like. 

9. Claymore 

Claymore tells the tale of an elite class of women tasked to fight off monsters who plague the land. Clair the last member of this group must protect the peace, her new friend Rakka, and her self. However, dark secrets lurk in this world and the shadowy organization that dispatches the Claymores may not be as kind as they appear. 

8. A Story about a Droid 

I debated about including this because it is such a short read. But it is also a very good and cute read. This story is about a droid who finds a baby and decides to take care of him. In order to care for the child the droid puts on a human disguise. The story follows the droid and her child as she raises him in a post apocalyptic world. 

7. Berserk

RIP Muria I will always be heartbroken that you passed before finishing this wonder of a story. This manga has always been one of my favorites and for good reason. The art is fantastic, the story is gripping, and the characters are dynamic. However, this manga is shocking, cruel, and depressing- not for the faint of heart. 

6. Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki Kun

Monthly Girls Nozaki is the tale of a girl in love. Chiyo has been in love with Nozaki for a while and she finally decides that she has had enough. Working up the courage she confesses to him, only for him to give her an autograph. Turns out her class mate is world famous in the realm of shoujo manga and has never been in love. Chiyo’s confession goes right over his head leaving her dumbfounded but not hopeless. This manga is a great romantic comedy including some of my favorite characters in fiction. Definitely worth a read if you want to laugh a night away. 

5. Dungeon Meshi

Have you ever been playing DnD and been like “hmmm I wonder what a Mimic tastes like?” If so I have the manga for you! Dungeon Meshi or delicious in dungeon follows a group of adventures as they venture into a dungeon to save the main character Laos’s sister. However, with no supplies they are forced to eat their way through to survive, much to the disdain of the party except for Laos he loves it. 

4. Sousou No Frienen

We all know elves live a long time but sometimes it doesn’t hit an elf until they have seen their old comrades fade away. Frenen is old even and has wandered the world in search of rare magic, and I mean rare not necessarily useful. Only after being recruited to aid the hero’s party and defeating the demon king does she come to realize that human relationships are complex and that time is fleeting. This is a great fantasy manga with great magic and quirky characters as I write this I am rereading the manga for the fourth time. 

3. Yotsubato!

Man aren’t five year old's hectic little animals?! Yotsuba is a young girl in a new neighborhood who isn’t afraid to wander off, get into trouble, or of anything except for maybe scary statues. This manga follows her life with her dad living every day to the fullest. If you are feeling down this is a great pick me up. I reread during finals and it really helped. 

2. Tongari Boss/ Witch Hat Alter

Witches are born with the ability to use magic and normal people aren’t. At least that’s what they say but what happens when a young girl gets a glimpse at the secret of magic. What if the reason magic is solely for witches because of the great danger magic can place not only yourself but the world in. Witch hat alter is one of the best fantasy manga out there right now and I want the next chapter to come out already!!!

1. Chainsaw Man

I remember the conversation that led me to read chainsaw man years ago. It went something like 

“Hey dude you should totally read this manga it’s badass!”

“Really? What’s it about?”

Insert a few seconds of silence 

“Well.. It’s about a dude who turns into a chainsaw and kills devils” 

“That’s insane” 

“Trust me it’s sooo good you have to try it! It has a section where he rides a shark into battle while on fire!” 

And with that fateful line I decided to give it a read. All I can say is thank you for telling me to read it because I love this manga. It is so funny, and crazy, and sad, and mind bending, and so many other things. I never thought a story about a dude who literally has a chainsaw growing out of his face would make me cry but life works in funny ways.
