Strange question, from a strange lil guy!! Which bug on the WH website's update is your favorite? Mine is the lady bug that sitters back and forth between the numbers and tulips :]

Murderhouse Makeover: Decorate houses and hide evidence for wealthy clients!
You play Taylor, a fresh-faced interior designer looking to break into the field. Luckily, a high-end real estate company takes interest in your portfolio! Less luckily, this company specializes in houses owned by murderers. Rich murderers.
At least the pay is good..?
(Taylor’s the purple one)
Keep your clients happy by using their favourite styles of furniture, following any special requests they have, and staying within budget. And, of course, making sure no one finds the evidence.
Paul is your new boss. He finds your clients and signs your paychecks. He does most (all) of the talking, gives hints if you're stuck, but otherwise leaves the dirty work to you.
What would you do for your dream job? If the answer is "anything short of killing a guy myself", this is (will be) the game for you!
(shoutout @bedruil for giving me half a chance to ramble lol)
How did you get started drawing and develop your style and stuff? I never have any ideas for what I want to draw, let alone something other people would want to see
in early highschool I had pretty decent basic art skills (mostly very traditional realism stuff) from previous classes and practice, but I got really fixated on developing a specific cartoony art style bc that's what so many of the online artists and youtube artists i followed would do and would recommend you to do if you wanted to be a serious artist. it wasn't what I was really good at or really wanted to do, and eventually I realized I was just making bad art because I was narrowly sticking to these ideas I had about what I should draw like, so I just started drawing however I wanted again and the stuff I enjoyed drawing was mostly illustrations and a lot of stuff on the realism side.
Im happy the stuff I draw is also what other people want to see but I don't draw the way I do to make it appeal to others (there can be some of that motivation esp subconsciously but I really try to go against it.) I haven't intentionally developed an art style, I make a lot of different kinds of art, I think if u just draw what comes naturally and what you enjoy your art will eventually become recognizable as yours bc your specific tastes and preferences will show through. I think if you start out drawing what you think other people want to see it'll stunt your growth and make you enjoy art a lot less, its a lot better to explore and see what you enjoy and what inspires you and from making the kind of art you naturally enjoy you'll develop a better understanding of what you want to make and it gets easier to come up with new ideas.
for coming up with ideas, I keep a list on my phone of art ideas and write them down whenever I get one. the list is p long and if I cant come up with an idea I can just look through the list. very basic advice but its legit what I rely on a lot lol
After being told by a friend I could play RDR2 online without having to deal with other people.. well let's just say I did, and it is still the best horse game out there for me.
Not played very long yet, but I am enjoying just galloping around the beautiful world once more. (Need to sell a lot of hides to get my silver dapple horsy back!)
Me: has moderate face blindness (aka prosopagnosia)
Also me: just had it occur to me that maybe that has something to do with why I'm so freaking bad at drawing faces
😐
[note, lots of people with face blindness are probably really good at drawing faces, yada yada yada. Just for me, the idea of imagining how a face should go doesn't compute, even though I've tried and practices for eons. Just...I can't imagine it and translate it to page. Copy realistically? Probably. Come up with it or render it cartoony? No.]
i dont know where to scream about this but i honestly feel some sort of weird relief that r//nbow high is declining. i knoooow i know it's popular and they've been such high quality dolls and collectors have loved them and some(?) people like the web series (or do they? ive heard mixed things but ive never had any interest in watching it) but oh god. i just. sometimes it takes me awhile to appreciate modern doll lines and their aesthetics but i just could not get past their weird fish faces and in general i do not like monochrome styling themes. i realize their designers did so much with their concepts, i realize a lot of heart and effort went into them, and i completely understand why so many people were floored with the quality of the dolls and the rate at which they were being put out. even though the prices kept rising for them, you could at least see where your money was going, like they were always so well-constructed and doing new things. but like. at the end of the day. on a very basic level they were just never all that aesthetically pleasing to me and it was kind of maddening to see all that potential going towards a line of dolls that had just... like... facial proportions i could not get past lol.
