You get it!! I'm not a big fan of the popular discourse around Daemon's gender issues I feel like it's just people making fun of him or it's used to diminish his relationship with Rhaenyra by saying he actually wanted to be Viserys's sisterwife and is using her as a replacement.

oh thank you! <3 also like. so glad i’ve managed to avoid most of that discourse because i simply don’t pay attention to what anyone besides my beloved mutuals say about daemon anymore. i feel like you’re 100% right about the nature of those discussions based on what little i have seen though.

the idea that daemon is using rhaenyra as a replacement for viserys just seems like the latest iteration of the “daemon’s only using her for the throne” take, which has been so thoroughly disproved at this point that people who hate daemon/their relationship and in some cases rhaenyra herself had to switch tactics to try to keep the character/relationship bashing and derision somewhat canon compliant. their relationship with each other (and with viserys) and daemon’s relationship with gender/masculinity is so much more complex and interesting.

#ngl reading this ask made me feel like blake lively in the cinematic classic film the shallows #when she gets attacked by a great white while swimming in its feeding ground (hearing about the latest bad daemon takes) #and has to swim to temporary safety on a rock (brilliant character analyses i see on my dash) but. #the tide is coming in (fandom exploding when s2 airs) and then nowhere will be safe lol #i’ve never actually seen the shallows bc i dislike blake lively #but i imagine this is exactly what her character would be feeling in that situation like essentially we’re going through the same thing #if you’ve noticed how many times i’ve edited this ask no you haven’t #daemon targaryen #hotd

Okay, I lied, I'm not done with the whole "K'Sante can bench press Sett" thing.

Is it phrased that way because they are using Sett relatively to show just how strong K'Sante is? Like, because we already know Sett is this ripped dude, so it's like the equivalent of saying that he's so strong he could literally do reps with Sett.

Or has he ACTUALLY done this?

And, if it's the latter, I demand the context because there are many ways to play this game. Was this a funny challenge between two gym bros, and Sett fully consented to become a human (half human?) barbell?

Or was this something that K'Sante did out of nowhere, unprompted? Maybe it was even in response to a similar challenge to the above, except Sett got all flustered about it because-- I mean, he's big and he's heavy and no one has probably been able to pick him up off the ground since he was a kid--- so he was rightfully a bit taken aback by the fact his band mate can legit lift him repeatedly over his fricken head.

And we haven't even DISCUSSED the flip side where I need to ask if SETT is able to bench press K'Sante, or if K'Sante is actually stronger than Sett.

Am I the only one who thinks that YouTube has been showing to many videos I have already watched? Like hey, I do love those old videos, but why are they taking up around half my recommended feed??? It almost feels like it's trying to feed off of my nostalgia or something...

I also really don't understand how it's "Not Interested" feature works, because I've clicked that on multiple videos of the same topic and it STILL shows up. Please stop that.
