Happy New Year!!
*pops grape juice bottle* woooo we’ve made it, guys!
2023 was such a nice year in the fandom, in my opinion. There was s3 and that was a banger, but I feel like the stuff we were up to ourselves over here was amazing too. I got to talk more with some of my mutuals who I hadn’t been as close to before, and lovely people keep coming to this corner of the internet!! We had our first sketchbook event and are currently preparing for a general Hilda Appreciation Week, I feel like this is all amazing considering the size of this community.
Just wanted to thank everyone who’s been here for the ride as well! It’s certainly always more fun when you have people to be insane with you. I just. Get very touched thinking about the amount of support in this fandom and how we creatively fuel each other.
Anyway, just wanted to write this post as a thank you. I hope you’re having a lovely end of the year, and may 2024 be even better 💜
(I do have one small writing update to add, though! The first months of the year will probably be relatively devoid of new content from me. This for two reasons. One is that I churned out so many fics this year that I feel like even the people who like my writing are having a hard time catching up (I don’t know how this happened either-), and the other is that I’ll be using my free time to get ahead on preparing my content for the rest of the year! I won’t completely stop or anything (Hilda Appreciation Week will see to that), just wanted to leave this noted so no one things I’ve Vanished from the fic writing scene or anything. I’m just preparing my next attack. Anyways that was it happy new year!!)

tbh i am generally alright if u repost my work on any platform i am not active ie tiktok or pinterest or w.e UNLESS the repost is of an image that is in wip stage.
if you take my wips repost them and remove the qualities that identify it as a wip ie crop out the procreate border, i will hunt u down for sport.

Checked out Scott Dickey's other animation reels and the one specifically about the Mouth of Mordremoth had this super interesting comment:
"[...] we had hoped to have a final gameplay event to bring people together for the death blow and victory. However, it was getting late in development and what we were putting together wasn't playtesting super well. We didn't have the time to do enough iterations on it and decided to cut that event and make a cinematic with the assets. It's why the cinematic, while visually cool, was a little wonky story wise."

Fate is already decided, is the thing. The giants of Gigantomachia have already lost. Secretive Plotter has already lost everything. 999th YJH has already died. Orpheus has already killed his father. And there is no undoing any of that; The stories that unfold on the page are immutable. These people have wounds, and they can’t be healed.
The Star Stream is a system built for tragedy. Again and again incarnations have thrown themselves at impossible dreams of a happy ending; and every time they die for it. There are hundreds of regressions, thousands of victims, a million stories unfolding— Every last one a tragedy.
Is there meaning in a story with a fixed end? The incarnations write their own downfalls, bound into tragedy by an impassive system. Yoo Joonghyuk dies again and again, eventually succumbing to overwhelming despair.
You cannot change the past. You can’t rewrite a story that’s already been written.
You can read it, though. And that’s the point— the entire point of a story is to be read. To read a story is to understand, to love, to pick through a lifetime of suffering and find the good in it; To take that story with you when you write your own.
And what then? What if every story is meant for one reader? What if that reader writes their own story in turn, influenced by their predecessors, bringing those scavenged bits of hope along?
If every story is told and listened to, every failure a building block of some unseen future, are we still writing a tragedy? When that original story is built on, bookmarked and dog-eared and woven into a final epilogue, is it still a record of hopelessness— or is it a way to survive?
Every story has a flaw. This means that every story can be completed. If reader, writer, and protagonist all band together and just try to reach the ending— 10 times, 100 times, 1000 times, each one compounding on the next— What will happen?
These people can’t be healed. But they can be saved. You cannot change the past, but you can change the future. You cannot rewrite a story, but you can give it an epilogue.
We are not reincarnators, or regressors, or returnees. But if we tell our stories, isn’t it a similar thing?

I just made my first audio post! I’ve been having so much fun with Beepbox lately that I wanted to post what I’ve made! I didn’t have a set theme I wanted for this one, but the more it developed the more it became clear that this is a rural, secluded village of sorts. I love this so much! Super proud of myself!
