Steph wonders why she until she stares into Ellie's eyes and can see the same eyes of the guy who helps her at some point on her "journey" through Africa.

They had a bit of a chance encounter on a day where Blueblood was dealing with something that was very difficult and was so caught up in his emotions he didn’t even care that he was in the garden getting grass stans on his coat and Ditzy, with her natural impulse to cheer ponies up, didn’t even notice or care that she was flying into the palace gardens when she saw someone sat in the rain.

At first he was definitely going to call the castle guards to come apprehend this strange filly with the odd eyes who was intruding when this was the last moment he’d want to entertain any desperate debutantes, however she surprised him by not fawning or anything, not even caring about his status, just putting one of her fluffy wings up and asking if he needed somepony to lend an ear.

“Don’t let my eyes fool you, my ears work just fine!”

She was incredibly disarming and while he didn’t reveal everything about why he was upset, he found himself talking about his feelings to her. And she made such cheerful remarks, and was very comforting. In the end, he felt better and she came to check on him the next day, even sharing a blueberry muffin with him. He remarked that he’d never seen her around before, and that he wouldn’t mind terribly seeing her more often.

The rest, as they say, is history.

you should get into wiki editing it's a very fun hobby. you might even pick up basic coding along the way and learn what it's like to cry over css.

not to make it serious for a sec but i genuinely think that being able to like things that are bad is really important. like I think that it's an important skill to be able to look at something and see what you personally enjoy about it and then take a step back and acknowledge that objectively it's flawed. and to also be able to acknowledge that liking something isn't necessarily an identity or a moral stance. and i think that fandom space in general could really benefit from more people taking the time to learn how to do that. it's okay to like things that are bad

I’m so glad I could help you with your journey. I feel so lucky I am able to be in a position where I’m able to help other people — at the very least — realize they are not weird, they are not alone, they’ve got someone who will look out for them. Because that’s something I didn’t have when I was growing up, and I thought I was weird, I thought I was — I don’t know, I didn’t have any exposure to any gender stuff or even LGBT stuff. So I just thought, “Well these things going in my mind are f**king weird stuff.”

Now, I actually get to be that representation for some people, and that’s f**king amazing for me. I’ve gotten so many letters, and so many messages, and so many donations, and so many chat messages going, “Thank you for everything”. Meeting people in person at conventions, people literally shaking and going, “Oh my god, it’s you.” And I’m like, “I’m just me! I’m just a person. I just play games.”

To have people freak out over that is mind-blowing. I don’t think I’m ever going to get used to it. Like, I got recognized at my university, I used to get recognized doing random things, and people would just come up to me and go, “Seriously, thank you.”

I hope I can continue to help people find themselves and continue to be a positive representation for people, because I remember what it's like not to have that.

I want to make sure that anyone who feels alone, or anyone who feels they don’t have anywhere else to find understanding, I want to be there for them. I understand I can’t have that one on one connection, but at least I want a space where you can come to, and you’re surrounded by a big group of people who all go, “Yeah, I understand that! Yeah, we’re all on the same page.”

Watcher fans sure are entitled and a little insane, ngl. "No one is going to sign up for your service! We're all poor! You've made the worst decision, and you'll be back in no time!" Saying this directly to the creators really reminds you of how low the respect for people you don't personally know has gone. I miss the forth wall between creator and audience.

I get and fully understand not having the money to support them, but... Watcher does have fans with money. A lot of them actually. They have merch sales. Their live tour sells out most venues. They have thousands of supporters on Patreon, where the cheapest tier is $5. They're able to gauge the rough finances of their staunchest supporters; that's how they landed on the subscription price. Yes, this move will reduce their viewership in sheer numbers, but to say all of their fans are broke and none will follow/support is factually incorrect.

It may not be a decision everyone agrees with, but severing the limitations of advertisers and youtube in favor of artistic freedom is a good thing. Yes, even if it comes with a loss of revenue. They understand that risk.

Also, I'm begging people to stop treating this like "another Netflix" or something and instead look at it as, "I am supporting a creator I like, similar to Patreon." They literally said in the video that they don't care if you share accounts. Get five friends, and you'll pay $1/mo.

I hate feeling compelled to rant in favor of their decision because I have my own reservations about whether it's the best move. However, I know it's not a choice they made lightly, and I like to think they understand that they'll need to branch out like crazy to entice subscribers.

ok but lol what if it actually comes out that they’re sleeping together years later when anakin is 24 and obi-wan is running for governor (still completely by accident) and anakins had a relationship with Padmé and broken up with her and obi-wan and anakin are sleeping together but it’s casual and there’s still a big age difference but anakins out of college now at least, like, he’s a solid adult

and it comes out that they’re together (but they’re only sort of together) and obi-wan gets asked about it and he dithers for a bit before saying like I’m not SLEEPING with my campaign manager I’m in love with him thank you very much

and obviously the crowd goes wild and anakin backstage goes wilder but then the interviewer is like “but our sources say he’s been working on your campaigns since he was barely legal” (solidly 19) “what would you say to those voters who may be concerned of the inappropriateness of your age gap?”

and obi-wan is like I would never sleep with a 19 year old

and the interviewer pulls up a picture of anakin at 19 canvassing for obi-wan and she’s like “he was very attractive”

You cannot have the attitude that people who complete suicide are selfish or are ungrateful or immature. If your mindset about suicide isn't coming from compassion rather than judgment, it won't help suicidal people. You will never help us with a slap on the wrist and a lecture about how we're awful for even thinking about completing suicide.
