If you genuinely think there are inalienable issues that uniquely apply to only people with penises or vaginas, and never the reverse, and that only they should be voices heard on issues affecting them, then boy howdy you might as well fucking side with the TERFs in my eyes, because you are working from the same damn playbook.

Seriously, look at your damn views and genuinely question, "Am I being bioessentislist with this?" because a lot of people have so clearly not done that.

Nonbinary people defining being nonbinary as opting out of gender norms and roles and stereotypes and saying that gender is a social construct, and bi people saying that they think everyone is bi and people are just conditioned into being straight have the same energy. And it fucking sucks. It’s making sexuality/gender into a moral standpoint instead of an identity.

I can acknowledge that queer people in history (and that includes like. less than 10 years ago) had to try to make sense of their queerness in a world that really didn’t help with that, and I respect the people who did the best they could with what they had at defining their situation to affirm their existence and represent, and I appreciate those primitive (and I mean that word literally, not derogatorily) sentiments, but our understanding and language has evolved along with the world around us and this way of thinking can, now that not necessary anymore, be rightfully considered problematic.

And the fact that people keep perpetuating these misconceptions that are not only simply incorrect, but also terrible and simultaneously incredibly harmful to nonbinary/bi people and incredibly insulting to binary/mono- or a-sexual people frustrates me to no end.
