and i do think Brothers in Blood is one of the most important comic book stories ever written btw. think about how many people have gotten into comics specifically for jason after the utrh movie or seeing the fandom zeitgeist or whatever. if they're unfamiliar with comics and have utrh as their first experience, they still might not exactly understand what they're in for. they might think this is, like, a normal form of storytelling that makes sense and maintains literally anything even slightly resembling cohesion or a consistent tone or like. sanity
and then the very next story they click on is him having made his own hand-sewn dick cosplay specifically to murder people in & make the public believe nightwing's gone insane for literally no reason. and then instead of that being the main conflict in the story, it pivots to being about these random dudes who turn into flesh monsters. one of them eats jason and then throws him back up in a big egg & keeps him as decor in their apartment for a while where he hallucinates about dick calling him a little bitch until he manages to get free except he's been turned into a shapeshifting cannibalistic tentacle monster and swallows a guy whole (twice) but the guy can split atoms and causes a nuclear explosion in his stomach that levels an entire city block, but you know jason survived because he somehow manages to get a message through to dick's random girlfriend via 19th century telegraph
a concentrated shot of comic book fuckery straight to the heart. that shit was like some sorta boot camp to get you ready to deal all the different types of comic-specific crazy. it had every weirdass trope specific to the medium happening at the exact same time, and they did that for US. to make us stronger. as a people

*pulls out a crumpled up piece of paper*
My transfemme Fire Emblem Headcanons. Include:
> Rosado, transfemme non-binary, most likely to use neopronouns or multiple sets of pronouns (fae/faer, she/he, never let 'em know your next move)
> Forrest, has been on estrogen for years but still says "I'm a prince" if asked and insists on using he/him pronouns (may be closeted, may be in denial, may do so out of a sense of obligation, may be a case of pronouns being "indicative of but not exclusive to gender identity", may also just have an exceedingly complicated relationship with the gender)
> Loki, a shapeshifter, chooses to look Like That (and she's so based for it)
> Gullveig. Just. Everything Seidr/Heidr/Kvasir and Gullveig have going on. Is so transgender. To me
And on vibes alone
> Triandra

i say this with so much heart, one piece has more respect for mentally ill people being a dick because of trauma than i would have in that exact situation. like sanji in wci when hes fully being a massive huge wet pathetic asshole that. like. completely justified that nami reacts so negatively to that while the narrative has a lot of empathy for him because i would kill someone in real life if they did that to me. even if it was a beautiful blond haired man and i had been playing heterosexual chicken with him ever since we first met. the self control on nami there is literally neverending.
like its good that this is the case, well written narratives about mental illness should be this empathetic while fully understanding the consequences of someones actions LIKE wci. these two things are so often treated like theyre mutually exclusive but for op they're not. and i love that. but jesus. she really loves him huh.

you see, talking about transgender reading of yashiro inevitably leads to talking about his bisexulity, which is another thing that you could kind of hand wave and people generally prefer not to aknowledge

I think people assume gender dysphoria is an "online thing" because a lot of trans people who experience gender dysphoria vent about it or make jokes about it online. I certainly have done this personally, and you know why I did so? It's because I knew nobody else who felt the way I did, so I didn't ever express my dysphoria. And you know what? I've seen a lot of trans people say that they, too, analyze their gender and dysphoria and meme about it because they don't have the resources they need to be open fully.
So this is why it's weird when transphobes say that you can detransition people by taking away their access to the internet. All that will do is take away an outlet where a trans person feels safe enough to be open - it isn't going to take away their identity and it certainly doesn't cure dysphoria.

the hilarious thing about the orv experience for me so far (ep 41) is i already know that if i get far enough into this story its gonna completely take over my brain but the fact that its a webtoon im reading on my phone (not a big fan of the way it gets formatted on my laptop) means im also making my way through it very slowly so like im basically just delaying the inevitable LMAO

Also have realized that we may have worded things oddly to exaggerate the amount of the Wasp Kingdom that is actually in active conflict but in our defence the power structures we currently have there have it so that whenever there aren't things to fight something like 40-80% of the Wasp Kingdom military gets re-allocated to Basically Whatever The Wasp Kingdom Needs At That Moment since they're, like, the Designated Supply Of Able-Bodied Wasps That The Queen Uses To Do Shit.
Marble is also banned from the non-combat parts of that setup, btw. Their particular tendency towards volatile-yet-effective is not something that ANYONE wants designing things that will be used in day-to-day civilian things just Around The Wasp Kingdom because generally you don't want your heavy-use architecture to Fucking Explode if you don't read and religiously adhere to the 120-page manual.

Monty and Jasper should have been a couple, they had more chemistry and would make more sense as a couple. Their relationships with women were so boring and the way they were written (their relationships with women) just didn’t give me a reason to care about them or root for their relationship. Harper came out of nowhere in season 4 like we had barely seen her in the earlier seasons and she’s not even a main character so we don’t see why she and Monty would like each other. I hope that will be cleared up in the books bc I’m planning to read them and I’m hoping this is just the show fucking up details in the books.
Monty x Jasper would be the childhood friends to lovers trope and it just makes sense bc as viewers we’ve seen them have more interactions than they have had with their female love interests. LET THEM BE GAY!! GIVE US MORE THAN CLARKE BEING SAPPHIC I WANNA SEE THESE MEN KISS!

This one time I was talking to soemone about how abled fandom can really bend over backwards headcanoning characters as neurotypical. And I brought up how a character in a show I watched can’t dress themselves without assistance and is still seen as “normal” by a lot of people.
And they laughed.
