Backstory:

Josephine (Jo) Buckthorn comes from a very long line of pureblood witches and wizards that actually originate from America. When she was very young, her family moved to Derry, Ireland so that her mother could take a job studying leprechauns. Despite being a pureblood, her parents emphasized the importance of learning from muggles. Because of this, by the time she was 11, Jo was very well versed in muggle culture and had a huge penchant for muggle jazz. Luckily, her extra knowledge did not put her at a disadvantage in the Slytherin common room, instead giving many of the students the closest link they had ever had to the muggle world. Jo’s first four years of Hogwarts were very uneventful, except for the fact that she showed a great aptitude for ancient runes and arithmancy.

In the summer after her 4th year at Hogwarts, Jo and her three brothers came home to Derry to find both her parents dead, a vampire hovering over both, sucking their blood. She was lucky enough to escape the interaction with her younger brother Erik, and a scar on her left eye. After that, Jo became intent on learning everything she could about vampires and eradicating every last one in existence.

Is the only person at Hogwarts with a dog (medium sized mutt named Henry, nothing useful or magical about him)

Was named after Josephine March from her mother’s favorite muggle book, Little Women

“Look… My mom’s dying and I forgot to make reservations cause I just hopped on the first flight over here and I’m just so scared this might be our last Christmas together before she… she…”

That’s when she started sobbing.

Within seconds the woman behind the counter began raising her hands in a desperate attempt to placate her. “No please don’t… Uh… There’s really… Ma’am we really don’t have any… The only thing I could do would be to call you if the reservation cancels or doesn’t show up on time but other than that I…” she ran her hand through her hair.

The poor girl seemed utterly overwhelmed, frantic even. Piper sighed, grabbing hold of her suitcase. “Never mind, I’ll just… Find somewhere else I guess.” Wiping the last bit of moisture from her cheeks she made her way towards the door to continue on her search.

“...I’m sorry about your mom…” The receptionist offered her a feeble (albeit well intended) smile.

“...Thanks.” Piper returned the gesture, trying to dissuade the slight feeling of guilt from the concerned look on the young girl’s face.

oh no new sims just dropped, made them for @galaxysuede's torendi tower penthouse because I'm dying to play in it

Jolena Booth, extremely talented sculptor and painter. Has made a vast fortune through her art. Had children very young, at the peak of her success, so she wasn't able to be the mother she truly wanted to be. Her relationship with her kids is more like a sibling/friend relationship than mother/child. She really isn't ready to let go of her youth and is constantly holding the hottest parties in San My. She has and will party with her kids and she won't let you make her feel bad about it. Temperance Booth, aspiring coder and engineer. Has dreams of building some of the most advanced servos known to simkind. Huge music buff, loves live shows. Keylon Booth, certified party boy with a passion for wellness. Would love to open his own yoga studio or be a personal trainer to the stars. Mommy's boy, hand's down. Has done some professional modeling. Possibly nude.
