“You still think that the universe really wants anything, from any of us?” “Don’t you?” "I try not to think too hard." "So it would seem."

what do you fucking mean that's how charlie dies. THAT'S HOW CHARLIE DIES??? i mean i know the show has a penchant for killing off every character who's not a winchester brother or an angel of thursday but good god. what the fuck. charlie was such a good and enjoyable recurring character, and she had such a fandom impact that i've seen, and she's only around for THREE SEASONS?? (sidebar: it's amazing she has the presence she does for only being around for a couple episodes in the long run!) but: was this necessary? and she just dies offscreen after her skills are utilized to progress the plot of decoding the book of the damned?? oh my god. what in the actual fuck. i'm finding myself getting genuinely very upset at her death. she did not fucking deserve that. and i can absolutely see why the fan response to her death is what it is now. completely fucking unjustified and throwaway and useless.

No Name on the Bullet was so good (so good!), breath of fresh air the fandom needed! I know you don't have anything in the works atm, but do you think you might write more trigun fanfic in the future? I'd totally understand if not but I would be so excited to see what else you might come up with.
I am truly sorry about this one, but I think I've said what I wanted to say. There's definitely Trigun stuff I'd like to do - finish up this one short story, write canon!Vash to prove that I can - but for the most part I'm satisfied with the Trigun I've written. There's things to say about the themes and message of Trigun, and I said them in a way that satisfies me.
I know it's a small handful of people out there who are writing non-ship, long, and robust Trigun stories, so I am. Indeed very sorry about this. Sometimes I feel as if so many Trigun writers are so uninterested in Trigun itself. What I wrote had like 10% to actually do with Trigun so maybe I also fall under this umbrella but imho it's more important to keep the spirit than the shape.
Maybe when/if I finally get around to reading TriMax....?? But don't expect anything soon. An ORV fic is definitely next and baby if I don't pull out all of the stops on weirdness I am disrespecting ORV's considerable efforts towards being as weird as possible.

fuck it I'm going to be controversial and just say it:
I'm glad the character of Aaron Hotchner was spared from the terrible fucking writing of late-season Criminal minds.
I did a #NoHotchNoWatch at the time (which was simply because the show held no interest for me otherwise - small exception Reid but only in relation to his dynamic with Hotch). Eventually decided to give the rest of the show a go since I got enough emotional distance from the loss of my perfect husband my favourite character and blah blah "violence" in the workplace is bad and maybe the show didn't deserve a boycott I guess ... (and it's now available as a brainless streaming choice).
So that means I am only just now discovering exactly how bad the writing got. And DAMN.
I mean I saw it going downhill (even more so from the usual "suspension of disbelief" element that is required) from about season 9, but I had No. Idea.
It's like the show hired all the writers that even Supernatural would have rejected!
So yeah "violence" in the workplace is bad but so is incompetence, and from personal experience I feel like sometimes the people left dealing with it deserve some kind of mental health compensation from the strain it takes. Except the cast members who apparently didn't care.
That is all.

People complaining about Star Wars shows being too slow, too much filler, like ok why don’t you just not watch? Log off Twitter?
If you can’t see any of the importance of the episodes that don’t have firefights and explosions every five fucking seconds, and complain there’s no story when the plot flies right over your head, that’s not everyone else’s problem. Yes the beginning of Andor takes a while to swing into things, and there’s many reasons for it. I frankly don’t even understand the complaints around the Bad Batch because each episode is far more obvious in its intents and still very exciting. How did any of you watch The Clone Wars?????
No one cares that you think the episodes not involving direct conflict with the Empire are boring. You’re boring. Gain some sort of common sense and think critically about the storytelling before you complain that there is none :)
