So, I thought I had a, however slight, preference for season 3 fics but this month I've not read a single season 3 fic. I started a couple but found that I wasn't in the right mood and I'm keeping them for later. I guess there are phases in life and I must be going through a phase where I need to read things that put a smile on my face and certainty in my heart. I'm in need of fun and trust. I'm in need of comfort and familiarity. And where to better find all those feelings than in the outstanding creativity of the Good Omens fandom?
April's amazing fiction
WIPs:
My Heart Was Always Yours by AddledMongoose.
It's a slightly alternative universe where Aziraphale and Crowley have somehow never met each other until the present day and each thinks the other is a human.
Each of them has been tasked by their respective head offices to retrieve Raphael's trumpet and each of them wants to find and destroy it. The trumpet will be sold on earth at an illegal auction and in order to gain entry to the auction they have to pretend to be married.
This fiction has it all, characters' personalities are spot on, humour, wit, dynamic, romance, everything.
At the beginning you might feel slightly put off by the first person narrative but give it a couple of chapters and it will flow.
You won't regret it!
We have got to that point in the story where the plot is really interesting! This fiction gets better and better! Rated M
The Escort by VinyamaDN
Human AU where Crowley is an escort and meets Azirapahle via his job. This fiction has a deep level of introspection, it can go from very angsty to very funny in a matter of two lines and it's a wonderful journey! Rated E
Whickber Street by Caedmon
Human AU set, yes you guessed it, in Whickber Street. Aziraphale owns a bookshop in Soho and Crowley opens a new comic book and geek shop a few doors down the road. Honestly, how dare he?
Absolutely lovely from-one-sided-enmity-to-(it's-a-WIP-so-we-can't-know-for-sure-but-come-on!)-lovers story! All our favourite side characters are there and everybody's best friends who we've never met in real life Fergus and Ella!
If you're in need of a smile, go and read it! Rated E
Complete works:
Drop By Drop by green_grin.
Alternative universe fiction in which human Aziraphale discovers and accidentally activates some sigils on his bookshop's wall. He meets and gets to know the demon Crowley who can't leave the plane of hell.
This one is angsty, with mentions of depression and self harm but it does have a happy ending. Rated E.
Mon Horrible Chéri by ghostrat.
I do have a soft spot for enemies-to-lovers AU. This one doesn't disappoint one bit. Crowley and Aziraphale teach science and literature in the same high school and they hate each other (aw... how cute are they when they hate each other whilst being attracted to each other?). When Beelzebub is injured just before the school trip to Paris, Aziraphale has to step in to replace them. When he agreed he didn't know that the other teacher accompanying the children was Crowley. Everything you're looking for in a sweet, funny, romantic enemies to lovers fiction ensues. Highly, highly recommended. Rated E.
Warmth by Dannye Chase (HolyCatsAndRabbits), HolyCatsAndRabbits.
Human AU where Aziraphale lives in a small town and one day a mysterious and very handsome man pays a visit to the library where he works. The two men become friends but Aziraphale knows that friendship is all he can hope for. Or is it?
A little angst with a happy ending. Really sweet and heartwarming. Rated E.
Waking Up Slow by the_moonmoth.
Excluding my favourite WIP, this is the best fiction I've read this month. Human AU set in lockdown... in a cottage... aawww. Aziraphale knocks a stranger apparently unconscious and gives him CPR. Only after does he remember he has been exposed to covid. Funny, witty, sweet, hot, this fiction has it all. Rated E.
Series:
Stories To Brighten Up Your Day by HotCrossPigeon.
If you need some lighthearted, incredibly funny and extremely sweet read, this series will do what it says in the title. Your day will brighten up and you'll have a big smile on your face. If you need something to cheer you up, that's for you. Rated Teen and up.
One shots:
Ars Daemonium by ObligateWeirdo.
Crowley is in a grumpy mood. We learn why through his conversation with Aziraphale. This lovely piece gives us hints at how being an immortal being stationed on earth must feel like sometimes. Rated Teen and up.
My own little one shot:
In Vino Ludus
It's the year 2030. Crowley comes to the bookshop drunk. An as of yet canon divergent fluffy night in the life of an angel and a demon. I was struggling with a chapter for a longer fiction and needed a lighthearted, fluff-filled, angst-free break. Rated E

Once upon a time, there was a Good Omens fanfiction reader, who swore they didn't like AUs.
They read all the discussions about the 'classics', the 'must reads' and shrugged.
"But it's not canon", they muttered to themself. "They're not human. How on Earth can anyone write these stories about them when they're not actually bloody human? It’s not right."
And then, dear reader, they were persuaded to read just one AU. They were still an angel and a demon, just in a slightly different universe. And then...then they tried a human AU. And then...then they were hooked. Obsessed, one might say.
That reader, dear reader, was me. Of course. Obviously. Well, duh. And I would like to share the obsession in the form of some recommendations.
I have the wonderful @shadesofecclescakes to thank for MANY of these absolute beauties, she is absolutely the QUEEN of recommendations (and medicinal gifs).
So, now, in no particular order, some Highly Recommended AUs:
Or Be Nice by charlottemadison Rated E - A is a bookseller, C is a drummer, they are BOTH petty bitches. They're newly neighbours. C has a CAT and I'm there for it, he also has migraines and I hard relate. It's bitchy and the pranks were DIVINE. It was also deliciously spicy. The loveliness is that the author really captured the flawed nature of humans but also how it can be overcome. Same author as What We Make of It (what was Shotgun Wedding - an absolute GO AU CLASSIC and one of the best things I've ever read)
Not a Mounted Dildo but a Fuck Machine by NaroMoreau & summerofspock Rated E - So very, very E. This one was just filthy. So wonderfully filthy. The authors would like to tell you there was no plot to their porn, but there really was. A meets a girl online, because A is straight. He really is. Honest. But then, oops, lockdown happens. But, it's a good thing, really. For his best homeboy C is there, to help this poor virgin 'learn the ropes' for when lockdown is over and he goes on his first date...with the girl he's so very much into...coz, no homo, yo...;)
The Whole Damned World Seemed Upside Down by WyvernQuill Rated M - An AU in the way that it's still angel/demon but after Crowley makes a wish for things to be 'different', the universe obliges...and he's dumped into a reality which is very, very different to what he knew. He learns some truths and there's a whole lot of drama. Beautifully written with a wonderful plot and great drama. Excellently described and would make for great TV. (Oh, and Death in the new reality is really squeamish - it's brilliant.)
Telling Tall Tales by Siobhans_World Rated E - A sweet pretend relationship fic, where A pretends to be Maggie's boyfriend to help her pass as straight for her family. But he then meets her cousin, C, who he then inevitably (ineffably?) falls for. Miscommunication, angst, fluff, gay panic, it's got everything.
Flawless by @mrghostrat & @chernozemm Rated E - I've decided only to include one fic by each author and boyyy was it hard for ghostrat! But Flawless was, well, flawless. For such a relatively short story, it kept us guessing until the end. The characters were all beautifully written - the flaws (ha.) were DEEP and CRACKED but so fucking perfectly sculpted and presented. It was incredibly real and believable. Extremely maturely written and satisfying. AND THE ART!!!
How To Pull An Angel: A Bunnings DIY Guide by NascentSurrender Rated M - When I first saw the title, I thought it was going to be a silly, irreverent, comedy romp. But it was actually a funny, well written story that will stick in my mind always. Firstly, C watches Bluey - which is now CANON for me. Secondly, having lived in Aus as a child, I've got a soft spot for the country anyway, and I've barely ever seen it come up, so this was lovely. There were some wonderfully humorous bits, but also tender and beautiful moments that I adored.
Montreal Confidential by Maggie_Honeybite Rated E - I learned about Montreal (and Canada & their baked goods), classical music and mafia stuff in this fic. A is a widower. C plays the cello. His cello's name is Bentley. This is one of the only age-gap, mild D/s fics I've actually gotten into. There's fluff AND drama. CW for non-con (not A/C)
Under the Summer Stars by @pannotbread Rated E - an amazing astrophysics/astroecology/astrobiology fic that has pining, slow burn and Only One Telescope (yes, really, and it's everything you'd imagine). It's got beautifully written (erotic) imagery and So Much Science that's been written accessibly but still with amazing detail. It's poetry. It's hot. It's gorgeous. CW for internalised homophobia and self hatred. *Not completed yet*
Oddity by @tsyvia48 Rated E - A museum fic! About David Bowie! A is in charge of collections, C is an actor hired by (highly incompetent) Gabriel to guest curate a new Bowie exhibit. Miscommunication ensues for delicious tension. There's bitchiness, there's a bit of light angst, there's a lotta love. *Not Completed Yet* Poetry Carved In Flesh by @fellandcrow Rated E - I'm obsessed by tattoos. Hence, I am obsessed by this story. I'm planning a(n enormous) GO tattoo once GO3 is out, and this fic has actually helped me with my ideas. London-based A stalks lovingly follows Edinburgh-based tattoo artist C online. They build up a rapport. Well, C likes A. A is SMITTEN with C. C encourages A to get tattoos. Which he does. C designs a tattoo especially for A, the fic has currently left off at the point where C is in London and going to tattoo A. *Not Completed Yet*
There Is A Light & It Never Goes Out by @phoen1xr0se Rated M - A escapes from a disappointing, chaotic life to a remote island for five months to do research on puffins. There he meets lighthouse keeper C. Who also ran away, 20 odd years ago. There is a chaotic, found family on the island, but it is small, and it is lovely. This fic is written with love and passion and the imagery is so beautiful. The author has actually gone to do Actual. Physical. Research. on puffins. So how is THAT for dedication? Cannot wait until it resumes. *Not Completed Yet*
Ok, because I am Bad At Tumblr, I've not tagged the majority of authors, if you are on here - please let me know if you're here and I'll edit!
I should probably add in the following, I suppose. I'm writing an AU.
Free by, well, me. Imposterssyndrome (yes I know it's Imposter Syndrome, but that one already existed) Rated E - A runs a bookshop, C has an unfortunate past as a runaway ex-addict. They meet in an acute mental health ward after both having had a mental health crisis. Eventually A invites C to move in, and they navigate sharing a space, and their lives together. The story starts heavy, and is an emotional roller coaster, but there are moments of fluff and smut mixed in. There is a happy ending, I promise. It's a passion project, heavily researched and has a LOT of lived experience in it. I've gotten to know some amazing people through it who have messaged me and shared their experiences and I'm so glad I wrote it. *Not Completed Yet*
Last thing to say - once I finish Free, I will be teaming up with @shadesofecclescakes to write another human AU which is VERY much in her wheelhouse and I CANNOT FUCKING WAIT. I just know you're all going to LOVE it. The only thing that will make it even better is ART, so we're still on the hunt for someone.
**Last-last thing to say. I’ve missed off a few Biggies. There are some super popular AUs, mostly written around 2019. Most people will have read them. I’ve tried to focus on the perhaps lesser-known & WIP ones. Although I know many people don’t read WIPs, hopefully you’ll (book)mark them for future!**

I wasn’t going to read Demonology and the Tri-Phasic Model of Trauma: An Integrative Approach because I don’t like the effect that long fics have on my life. And everyone is so effusive about it that I knew this one would take over, divert my attention, and generally get my brain in a choke-hold.
But I was weak and thought “Just read the first few paragraphs, maybe I won’t even like it.”
Reader, I liked it. Now I’m about to start Chapter 4 and this fucking story can do what it likes with me, with my life and my productivity. It is so. Fucking. Good.
I’m not even halfway through but, dear lord!
@mouseonamoose doesn’t need the help of my little blog to bring even more droves to this juggernaut but it’s so amazing I’m posting the link anyway!

Are you a big fanfic reader? What have you read lately and what's been your favourite fic so far?
Oh mannnnnnnnn. Why don't you ask me to pick a favourite child while you're at it???
Tumblr media
Just kidding. I don't have kids. But I assume having to pick a favourite would be hard if I did.
So, am I a big fanfic reader? YES. And what haven't I read lately? We are lucky enough to have so many talented writers in this fandom that it's possible to subscribe to numerous multi-chapter fics to the point where you're just constantly getting update emails. Which I do. It's great. It gives me something to do at work aside from, y'know, work.
Tumblr media
*Me at work being smug about being paid to read porn* (Also I just wanted to look at this gif)
So what is currently on my endless update list? Coming up after the cut!
I am an absolute whore for human AU, so if you like that then you will probably like:
The Cure for a Broken Heart by @rofell
a medical student AU based in the Canadian medical system (I'm a Canadian so I was pretty excited about that). It manages to tackle the continued systemic discrimination of Indigenous people in our medical system (and in general), homophobia and the ensuing trauma from those things all while also being informative, funny, sweet, romantic and hot af. Like. It's so good.
Free by @maaikeatthefullmoon
This is another one with with a heavy topic that also does a great job of making sure to break it up with some excellent fluff, hurt/comfort and humorous moments. And it's handled with the sensitivity and thoughtfulness necessary to write something that takes place in a mental health ward and deals with some intense situations. Definitely make sure to read those author notes before diving in. They lay it out very thoroughly.
The Sincere Way by @tsyvia48
A martial arts AU. Crowley is a karate sensei and Aziraphale is his student. Slow burn that keeps you on the edge. The screams I have scrumt at my screen over this one. Plus you learn a lot about karate (but it never gets boring or over-explainey. Excellently balanced) which is pretty cool. Mostly light (there is some angst. This is the Good Omens fandom. I think we are all sad, wet chihuahuas at heart). Funny and sweet.
Terminus by @emotional-support-demon-crowley
Plus One by @caedmonfaith
Astronaut AU. Aziraphale is an astronaut who meets his mission controller, Crowley, over the comms system when he finds himself in need of assistance.
Super cool concept and really well-done in my opinion. Like, I don't do any space or physics-related work (ok I straight-up failed math 9) but I find it entirely believable. And it's well-written which is the entire point. Cute, funny slow burn with an intriguing mystery happening in the background.
Aziraphale has family money but a shitty family (except for Muriel! Never Muriel!) and his shitty brother Gabriel is getting married to shitty Michael, an Earl's daughter.
Aziraphale's family disproves of his entire life pretty much and he has been lying to them about having a boyfriend. Now they are expecting him to bring said boyfriend to the wedding. His famous footballer friend sets him up with their mechanic, Crowley.
It starts as a slow-burn but becomes a hilarious, smutty romp that just gets more and more insane. The chapter titles alone have made me cackle out loud.
Some older human AUs I'm a huge fan of include Old Vines by @sevdrag. Crowley owns a vineyard and Aziraphale is a wine critic. It is so amazingly written. It makes me think of the author Joanna Harris (Chocolat, The Five Quarters of the Orange) because it's SO beautifully, vividly descriptive that I end up craaaaaving wine. So have a bottle on hand if you're giving this a read.
Also the love story in this. My god. I devoured it. The story and the (many bottles of) wine.
There is also Loosely Ballroom by marginalia_device and mortifyingideal. It's a Strictly Come Dancing (Dancing with the Stars in North America) AU and it is so. Fucking. Good.
But it comes with a disclaimer. It's unfinished and looks likely to stay that way. But honestly? Still worth it. It's nearly finished (I think) so you have most of the story. And it's just SO good. It's been a while since I read it but it was one of the first human AUs I read and what got me hooked on them.
If you're still with me...nice! Just know that was me holding back and that isn't my entire list by a long shot. If you want more recs, feel free to message me and also share your own!
I just finished Slow Show the actor AU by @mia-ugly and yes please.
Some serious angst, pining and hot hot smut.
There is another long-form multi-chapter actor au I loooved but I can't remember the name for the life of me. Just that the show they were on was basically good omens and that they swapped roles with great success (inspired by the whole Michael thinking Neil wanted him to play Crowley when he wanted Aziraphale thing).
Thanks for the ask! That was really fun!

GOOD, EXTENDED OMENS - a fic list
READ IT IN THIS ORDER! (And read song lyrics for more clues) Click red links to find my ‘explain what we’re not seeing’-minisode fics - allow me to break your hearts, please. I make my own explanations for everything that hasn't been explained yet. Would be cool if I was right about some of these.
4004 BC - 2000 BC - Mostly hot fluff, them finding each other in odd places throughout history, trying to figure out why the pull is so irresistible. Starts with figuring out certain physical aspects in Eden. 🌶️🌶️🌶️
1941 - Oh no, the apology dance... with a twist! Who confessed their love on this fateful night? ...And who turned out to be the ineffable idiot? And who came back later? TW: Abusive language, bad things happening in bed 🌶️
1991 - THREE NEW CHAPTERS! Celestial beings go to a 👁️rave👁️ Rated E for... E. Yes. That kind. Do not read if you shouldn't. This is not a cautionary tale, but you might pick up life-saving knowledge. Really. 🌶️🌶️🌶️
1994 - 2008 - Crowley is in recovery, Azi is writing about their yearly meetings in his diary. Meshes with the first scene of them in St. James' Park in season 1. 2019 - 2022 - FINISHED! They averted the Armageddon, and nobody gives a hoot what they're up to. Aziraphale seems to have learned to trust Crowley after what happened in season 1, but Crowley doesn't trust herself. This fic is about what happens up until Monday, September 4th, 2022, when a box-carrying man-friend appears on Aziraphale's doorstep. I wrote an alternate ending, what would have happened in season 2 if Gabriel hadn’t showed up.
BOOK OF SARAQAEL - Apparently, Saraqael knows what’s up. So, what is up, you ask? Saraqael wouldn’t tell you, but perhaps you’ve paid attention to the Clues and figured it out?
BOOK OF LIFE - Time hasn’t started yet, and Aziraphale comes to his senses sitting at a conference table, certain the feeling that something is wrong would go away if he could be near… something or someone. He doesn’t know yet. This is the one, guys - this one explains the Fall, it explains everything.
They’re all on the same timeline and it’s gonna be kinda huge. I don’t know why I’m writing this, but I have to.
Tumblr media
To the world!
Will update this when I write more minisode-fics❤️

"Lessons in the Humanities" Chapter Update
Tumblr media
By Monday, they still weren’t speaking. To be perfectly honest, Aziraphale had avoided the teachers’ lounge in the humanities building, refusing even to heat up his leftover casserole, on the off chance that Crowley might be there. Better to eat cold pasta than to face him.
During lunch, Anathema had come to find Aziraphale in his classroom, asking probing questions in that very specific way that always made Aziraphale feel as though she probably knew more than she was letting on, and certainly knew more than she should.
He’d gently shooed the chemistry teacher out the door when she started inquiring whether Crowley had “departed unexpectedly” after an “intense discussion.” He really didn’t need her getting involved in whatever was happening between Crowley and himself, and he was more than a little concerned that speaking about what had transpired the previous Friday would end with him ugly crying onto her shoulder.
And all that begged the question, what was happening between him and Crowley?
Keep reading on ao3...
Annnnnddddd......be sure to catch up on @theangelyouknew's wip, Catch a Falling Star. Chapter 14 is now up!

Being some recs for fics set after Good Omens S2
Tether Ginger_Cat, Words: 44,562 Aziraphale, Supreme Archangel of the Heavenly Host, is just minding his own business. Really. It's not like he's trying to get summoned to Earth during highly important archangelic duties. And Crowley's not trying to summon him, he swears, but somehow it still keeps happening... Now, if they could only figure out why?
We Can't Keep Meeting Like This Ginger_Cat, Words: 65,450 Once a year, Aziraphale and Crowley meet on Earth to discuss the development of the reincarnated Christ child. The problem is, they can't stop having sex instead.
What You Leave Behind (or, A.J. Crowley, Bookseller Extrodinaire) chubbytransboi, Words: 50,733 “Are you a bookseller too?” “Not even at gunpoint.” After The Promotion, Crowley finds himself as the proprietor of A.Z. Fell and Co. (Emphasis on the ‘Co.’) Or: new jobs, new friends, and new ways of healing. And a LOT of sticky notes.
of truth, of light, of good sideraclara, Words: 75,179 Crowley will save Earth alone if he has to.
Factory Settings Anonymous, Words: 106,998 Crowley gets reinstated as an angel.
and though i burn, how could i fall? (when i am lifted by every word you say to me) shadoweddepths, Words: 24,699 Five times Aziraphale and Crowley argue, and the one time they don't.
But You, My Dear, Are An Ocean megzseattle, Words: 76,895 After Aziraphale's defection, Crowley tries to figure out how to live life for himself.
don't let this darkness fool you mygalfriday (BrinneyFriday), Words: 23,887 Lurching to his feet, Crowley stumbles through his flat in the dark – tripping over empty whiskey bottles and clothes he’d stripped out of and never bothered to pick up again. Heart pounding, he throws open the door. And the bottom drops abruptly out from beneath him. It feels like falling all over again – except from so much higher up than he’d ever been the first time. This is worse. This is so much worse because it isn’t him. It’s Aziraphale.
Endless, Numbered contritecactite, Words: 48,244 Crowley knows where he's not wanted—or, rather, where he was wanted but didn't want to go and is now no longer wanted—so he takes off until he finds a place that doesn't matter. Yet. It starts to matter quite a bit just around the time that Muriel reaches out to him about a book in Aziraphale's old shop that doesn't seem to be acting quite right. A medium-burn sort-of fix-it told partially through Aziraphale's recent diary entries in which nothing terribly dramatic happens because they've had enough of that.
freshly disowned in some frozen devotion (no more alone or myself could i be) shadoweddepths, Words: 22,379 Aziraphale rejects the Metatron's offer and chooses Crowley instead. Crowley helps him through the aftermath.
mourning doves`` sleepyimpulse, Words: 22,686 “I’m sorry,” he registered himself saying between heaving sobs. “I’m so sorry, Crowley, I’m so sorry. Forgive me, please, please forgive me.” He hadn’t meant to say it like that, he knew the words were all wrong (he would never find the right ones). But the pain was coming at him in every direction and something, something had to give, and so he clung to Crowley like a life preserver. Crowley bent his body over Aziraphale’s and slowly, surely, pressed a kiss to his bloodied forehead. “I can’t,” he whispered, and Aziraphale went unconscious.
pieces of you blackeyedblonde, Words: 18,348 “Crowley,” Aziraphale whispers, hand mindlessly grappling for the golden clasp secured at his throat. “What have you done?” “What I’ve always wanted,” Crowley says flatly, clutching the baby close against his bare chest. “You made your choice, angel. And I made a few of my own.” “Whose,” Aziraphale starts to say, and then can’t speak for a moment while something visceral moves through him. “Whose child are they? Other than yours, I mean.” “Look at her for yourself,” Crowley says, drawing his dark wing up just enough that Aziraphale can gaze at the newborn without feathers blocking the lamplight glowing behind them. “You haven’t even been gone for a year—don’t tell me you suddenly can’t recognize one of your own.”
Touch my Tears with Your Lips IneffableDoll, Words: 27,217 The emptiness of Heaven is punishment itself, a torture for a very Earthly angel. He has no power. The Metatron lied to him. Crowley is somewhere else. Aziraphale is alone. When he eventually escapes back to Earth – where he belongs – Aziraphale and Crowley have a lot to work through, even after averting the Second Coming, a renewed attempt at taking away all they hold dear. They need to be gentle with each other’s fragile, fractured hearts and together, figure out how to love one another the way they’ve long wished to. A story of trauma, healing, and love. So, so much love.
Light the Corners of my Mind cyankelpie, Words: 25,897 Aziraphale, thirty-eighth order scrivener—at least, that's who they told him he was—wakes up from some perfectly normal memory loss to find a cryptic note written on his hand. The further he goes in his search for answers, the more questions he has. Will he ever learn why he was demoted to a desk job? Or how he'd managed to collect enough books to open a bookshop? Or why that familiar red-haired demon on Earth seems to be avoiding him?
Devotion, grace and other small miracles Chrissy22, Words: 4,343 Seven months after the events of Season 2, Crowley gets a phone call from a panicking Muriel.
journeys end in lovers' meeting terpsichorean, Words: 48,137 With the Second Coming averted and Aziraphale back on Earth, all Crowley wanted was a return to the way things used to be, before he confessed his feelings and kissed his best friend in what may be the most unsuccessful love confession of all time. In an effort to cheer an equally miserable Aziraphale, the two of them leave London to attend a murder mystery party in an old country estate. But things quickly go wrong and someone ends up dead. It's up to Aziraphale and Crowley to save the other guests from whatever dangers lurk within the manor. And maybe, Crowley will gather the courage to ask the one question he’s not sure he wants answered: why did Aziraphale come back?
nebula 231080 starklystar, Words: 33,710 Philosophers liked to pose the question, observation against perception: If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound? Aziraphale would argue that sound was something witnessed, and Crowley would argue that if sound had to be witnessed, then why was virtue unwitnessed a nobler thing? But first, Crowley would point out that he himself had fallen, alone and without witness, and it had bloody fucking hurt.
I'm the treasure baby, I'm the prize stereobone, Words: 9,405 "Are you working for Mrs. Sandwich?" Nina asks. "No," Crowley says. "Well, yes. Well, define 'working'."

Fiction recommendation!
March Marvelous Fictions
The wonderful stories I've read in March, hope you like them as much as I did! Tagging the writers whose Tumblr username I know so they know they are loved and appreciated.
WIPs:
My Heart Was Always Yours by @addledmongoose
It's a slightly alternative universe where Aziraphale and Crowley have somehow never met each other until the present day and each thinks the other is a human.
Each of them has been tasked by their respective head offices to retrieve Raphael's trumpet and each of them wants to find and destroy it. The trumpet will be sold on earth at an illegal auction and in order to gain entry to the auction they have to pretend to be married.
This fiction has it all: characters' personalities are spot on, humour, wit, dynamic, romance, everything!
At the beginning you might feel slightly put off by the first person narrative but give it a couple of chapters and it will flow.
You won't regret it!
Rated M.
The Escort by VinyamaDN @vinyama-23
Human AU where Crowley is an escort and meet Azirapahle via his job. This fiction has a deep level of introspection, it can go from very angst-y to very funny in a matter of two lines and it's a wonderful journey!
Rated E
Complete works:
Infernal Escapes by Journeytogallifrey
Human AU where Crowley works at an escape room company. Aziraphale has always wanted to try escape rooms and finally does. You will have to read it to know the rest but this was such a lovely story, very low angst and a happy ending. I believed I did squeal in excitement at the nod to the whovians in the Roman room chapter.
Rated: Teen and up.
The Lies I Would Tell For You by vampiremama
A season 3 fiction with a beautiful, heartbreaking prologue but do keep reading, there's a happy endong! Azirapahle and Crowley find each other again and work together to stop the second coming. Lovely and imaginative.
Rated: E
Between The Devil And The Deep Blue Sea by @adverbian
Lovely, lovely, lovely short fiction where Aziraphale and Crowley are finally free from heaven and hell but are still... well, Aziraphale and Crowley! So, it's not like they've talked about their feeling for each other. Until someone else expresses interest in Aziraphale and Crowley loses it! Funny and heartwarming!
Rated: E
The Christmas Wedding Scammer by @aracloptia
Human AU where Crowley is an unemployed florist whose name is very similar to the incredibly famous and successful retired wedding planner Antonio Cowley. Anathema and Newton are planning their marriage and Aziraphale is the maid of honour. Oh, and gabriel is the priest celebrating the wedding. I loved the humour in this fiction and the way it captures the characters' personalities. Absolutely delightful.
Rated: Teen and up
Fire, bridges and other sensible idioms by KiaraMGrey
This wonderful, funny, witty fiction had me hooked up from the first sentence! Aziraphale has a new neighbour and things don't run smoothly. Hilarious enemies-to-lovers human AU with some of the best hot scenes I've ever read. Seriously, go and read it!
Rated: E
My wee fiction, Second Chances And Second Choices
Not half as good as any of the others I'm recommending (Or the ones I've left out) but it's my baby, so... Kind of season 3 fiction, post (failed) second coming. Aziraphale is hoping this is the beginning of his life with Crowley but Crowley seems to be of a different opinion. Until old enemies turn up at Aziraphale's door. Low angst, happy ending. I wish it had better humour, I wish some bits didn't feel as much of a stretch as they do but fair enough.
Rated: Teen and up.
Collection:
Bad Communication by Nebz_AlphaCentauri @alphacentaurinebula
This collection has three season 3 works: Bad Advice (Up There With A Suggestion Box); Bad Management (Up There With Not Allowing Questions); Bad Communication (Almost Ineffably Bad But Not Quite).
The stories are set a week after Aziraphale goes to heaven. One is from Crowley's POV, one from Aziraphale's POV and in the third one they finally talk. Funny and Heartwarming.
Rated: Teen and up.
One shots:
They Almost Made A Miracle (1941) by Koala2all
Lovey take on what happened at the bookshop after the magic trip.
Rated: E
Back At The Bookshop by @scottishmushroom
Lovely take of what could happen if Aziraphale went back to see Crowley.
Not rated.
I hope you enjoy these amazing stories and if you do don't forget to let the writers know!

A Lot of Love and a Little Bit Dumb
Fandom: Good Omens Pairing: Aziraphale/Crowley Word Count: 6k Rating: M Link: -> Read Fic ->
Summary:
Crowley came right out with it. “I want to love you so badly,” he confessed, his voice weak. “I really wish I could,” he said earnestly, his chest aching. Aziraphale’s face fell into utter anguish and he gasped, a hand flying to his chest. “Oh, Crowley,” he said sorrowfully. “My dear, after 6,000 years, how can you be this stupid?” Crowley stared at him, dumbfounded. That...was unexpected. ~ Crowley feels horribly guilty because he believes that he, as a demon, is incapable of loving Aziraphale back. At least one of them has an ounce of common sense...

Good Omens Fic Rec: Echo
This isn’t your average coffee shop AU.
Length: 51,851 words
AO3 Rating: Explicit / Spice Level 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Best for: At Home, Human AU
Triggers: None
Read it here, fic by snae_b
*Minor Spoilers* This is going to be a very short review, it deserves a longer one but I want you going in blind to this. The only thing I will say is that, this is an excellent piece of writing. It is very engaging, fast paced, and unique. Perfectly crafted. However, I don't feel it's very uniquely Aziraphale and Crowley. Switch some details around and yeah it could be about a different ship. But that doesn't mean their characterizations and voices aren't excellently written! They are, I just don't feel like this is uniquely good omens. Go in blind to this and let it take you where it needs to go! This is such a wild ride!

MY 1991 FIC IS BEING PRINTED & BOUND
@amagnificentobsession liked it so much they want to... BIND IT, I can't believe it, it's such an honor. (No, not making any money from this.) I started writing it six months ago, and finished it in early March, I think... And as (before this) I hadn't written anything worth mentioning since, what, 2011, I couldn't let it be printed before I went through it first. And boy, there were a LOT of embarrassing mistakes and errors and grammatical knots that I hope I've managed to untangle without rewriting the whole thing. Link to the revised, edited, BETTER version HERE. THANK YOU SO MUCH, @amagnificentobsession, you're one of the reasons this fandom is starting to feel like family <3
