5x13 is a very interesting episode for all of the characters…

like you’ve got cas refusing to consider killing sam bc he wants to idk prove himself to dean

you’ve got mary and john being mad about raising kids to hunt and sam defending john

you’ve got sam’s rewriting of john: like he tells young john that his dad died trying to protect him, but dudeee john told dean he might have to kill you on his death bed

you’ve got dean trying to protect mary from the truth but ultimately realizing she deserves it (i love this one bc dean is consistently about people being honest with him)

you’ve got sam being honestly kinda cruel when telling mary to leave john so she doesn’t curse her kids, which there’s some truth to that but that is NOT the right way to say it sam (i genuinely don’t know how people think sam is good at like “therapy”)

you’ve got michael being creepy with dean and saying he doesn’t want to fight lucifer but still disagreeing about following a father’s orders and destiny and the advent of team free will

you’ve got sam starting to believe that maybe this is their destiny and dean strongly denying it (hot take but sometimes i really think sam and michael are the stronger parallel)

omgosh anyway sorry for the long recap but i guess i’m just wondering if there’s anything you would have done differently with this episode? specifically regarding how these themes were shown

Regarding Cas:

I don't think Cas wants to prove himself to Dean. I don't think he needs to, and I don't think he thinks he needs to right now. (In fact in 5.02 he suggested that Dean owes him). Everything Cas is doing is born of mutual solidarity with Dean in rebellion against heaven. If they don't succeed, they're all going to die—and so will everyone else. Cas has the entire host of heaven after him. Even fellow rebels like Anna and Gabriel dislike him. Gabriel resents Cas for his hopeless quest to find their father, and Anna hates him because he betrayed her in 4.21 and made no efforts to help her.

The only person Cas has in the world right now—the only person he can lean on or count on in any way—is Dean (see: 5.03). By extension, because of their shared love for Dean, Cas also has the people with whom Dean associates (Bobby, Sam, Ellen, Jo). There is protection and shelter through loyalty—through the found family. Cas calls Sam his friend in 5.13, but they haven't really had any bonding experiences on screen the way Dean and Cas have. I think for Cas, it's as simple as Dean is Cas's friend -> Anyone Dean cares about is also Cas's friend and worthy of his protection.

I also don't doubt that Cas is aware that Dean's well-being is tied to the family's well-being and the family's well-being is tied to Dean's well-being. I also don't think he's unaware of the fact that Dean can't weather more harm to their cobbled-together family. Sam and Dean's relationship is deeply scarred and trying to recover (but we see in 5.05 and 5.12 that Dean is struggling with it, and Cas specifically knows this from 5.03 when Dean opened up to him about it). Bobby is dealing with being recently paralyzed and is suicidal (and Dean's outright told Bobby that he can't handle losing him). Ellen and Jo just died a few episodes before. We're about to be reminded again how badly Dean is cracking open in 5.14.

Cas's actions with Anna are cold and calculated—ruthless—because he can't risk any further harm to the family unit—especially not any that might risk rupturing their heart (Dean). In that regard, Cas's actions toward Anna in 5.13, while ruthless, are in character (Also see: wanting to kill Jesse, torturing Donatello, plotting to kill Kelly, working with Sam to use The Book of the Damned).

Regarding Sam rewriting John:

I think the truth is that Sam doesn't care that John told Dean to save him or kill him. I mean—a part of him definitely was traumatized by it—but in 2.11, Sam says John was "right to say it" and he continues to push that narrative through season 2. I think the thing that really makes Sam angry is that it was kept from him. But the stuff related to Stanford and being raised a hunter—Sam forgives John for all of that, and we've known that for a while. We saw Sam start to soften and empathize with John's desire for revenge by 1.02. Then there was 1.08, 1.20, 2.02, 4.19.

Sam's lack of sugar-coating:

We can make note of this one also in 4.19 with Adam, in 4.20 with Jimmy, and in 5.06 with Jesse (though Sam does try harder with Jesse). I don't think he intends to be cruel to Mary, but by this point, Sam has kind of made a name for himself telling people their futures are fucked. This also feeds into your last note about Sam believing in destiny. Of course, Dean also jumps to say that Sam is right and Mary should just not have kids.

I don't know if there's anything I would have necessarily done differently, besides motivate Anna a little better. Her actions are rational, but they don't feel true to her character from season 4. By this I specifically mean her plotting to trick Sam and Dean into a trap, when they (especially Dean) had risked their lives for her in 4.09 and 4.10. She actually uses Dean's loyalty to try and trick him into meeting her, and the only reason it doesn't work is that Cas doesn't trust her and refuses to let Sam and Dean go to meet her. Given that the lack of loyalty and love among the angels was a primary motivation for Anna's fall, I would have appreciated further explanation behind her betraying Dean in this way—through his loyalty to her. I am likely meant to infer that her stay in prison included brainwashing that created this effect, but I don't know... it just feels off.

On Lucy's lack of promotion

I've seen some speculation and frustration regarding Lucy's lack of promotion lately so I just wanted to add my 2 cents on the matter.

As of episode 5.09, Lucy is a P2. Per the LAPD guidelines, one becomes eligible for P3 only after 3 years on patrol. A P3 usually remains a patrol officer, but they can also choose to become a patrol training officer (like Nolan did). Once a P3, you can qualify as a detective or a sergeant, but only after your 4th year in patrol. The show has actually respected this so far : in 2.02, Armstrong mentioned that he switched to detective after 4 years on patrol and he was an exception, not the rule... And in the same episode, we found out that Angela decided to become a detective after 7+ years on patrol (if I remember correctly).

If we stick to the timeline, Lucy has been a P2 for less than 2 years : 3.09 we see her promoted to P2. From there we can add 1 month at the beginning of 4.01 (Nolan's 30 days extension is over) + 3 months mentioned at the end of 4.01 + 13 months of P1 Aaron between 4.02 and 5.03) + whatever months between 5.03 and 5.09 (unlikely to be more than 6 though).

So Lucy not being promoted yet is not a problem in itself. Even more reassuring (to me) is the fact that the writers don't forget about her at all. They keep acknowledging in canon how good she is - this season alone, we have references of her future in 5.02, 5.03, 5.06 and 5.07. And so far, her path is really good : she gained so many different experiences (her own UC operation, sergeant's aide, helped the FBI when they didn't have to invite her on the raid, UC school, acting sergeant...). I mean it is a terrific resume. On that note, I absolutely love that we see her trying and thriving on so many different positions, and thus keeping her options open.

And most importantly, it also keeps in line with the other characters' promotion (minus the very obvious one). Tim had to wait around for his sergeant position, even after passing the exam (first mention was in 1.15 and he got promoted in 4.02), Angela had a bit of a fumble but was able to become a detective in a reasonable amount of time (first mention was in 1.01 and we see her as a fully detective in 3.02). Even with Aaron, while they do mention him being a detective, it is still explicitly stated that it will take time (and not because he failed the Angela/Nyla test). If Tim gets promoted to S-II before Lucy becomes a P3 it will be because in his case you don't have a time constraint in his case. So up to this point, it is relatively grounded in reality (for a TV show obviously).

Except for one character. Now in regards to Nolan... that's where it is pure insanity and all the previous rules goes out of the window. In 3.05, we found out that he could qualify for TO exam in 2 years if he has his college degree... Considering he's still in probation... Nope. And, I find dubious it only took a month to finish his college degree. But the best part (and by that I mean infuriating) is that in the end it only took a year later (4.21) for him to be able to take the TO exam... What happened to needed two years? Whatever. Only he can't take the exam because he is sent in a hole so he'll have to wait two extra years (which is basically what should have been the case from the start). But not to worry, he gets a golden ticket, the thing that is allegedly practically impossible to get (it took years of UC work for Nyla in comparison...). So why the rules that applies to everyone in Mid-Wilshire but not him? Well...

Now I could get past that if at least he was having some troubles with his new position (there's a reason why you don't get promoted immediately : lack of experience is one of them). I liked 5.02 for that... but since then, nada. Worse : after being explicitly told that he should not let Celina drive (again there is a reason and it has nothing to do with Celina), he still does it. Again, whatever.

Anyway, back to Lucy. I get the frustration, especially in comparison with Nolan (I could rant all day seriously). But I don't think the writers would mention all these opportunities and not do something about it. My guess is, we'll have a promotion towards the end of season 5/next season. I think we are going to have a deeper conversation about her future in LAPD in 5B. If only because of her burgeoning relationship with Tim and how it is going to impact their careers.

Magnum PI 5.03 ‘Number One With a Bullet’ review

So, thanks to the first two episodes being so awesome and totally on point with everything I might have gone into this one with a tad bit to high of expectations.

Don’t get me wrong, I did like this episode. Maybe not as much as I was hoping for. Part of it, for sure, was the lack of Magnum and Higgins scenes (them being like my fave part whether they be bickering, being awesome partners, kicking butt or smooching) but I think the biggest part was the fact that I didn’t feel like the plots at all connected.

The Three Plots and How They Did Not Fit Together...

Like I really loved Gordy and Child’s ‘save the K-pop star’ thing. Gordon’s son having her ringtone, the whole getting randomly stabbed *dramatic* and showing up to save the day and just all around like-like-like. It was totally wholesome and so far I am not seeing sad- spiralling- depressed Gordy anywhere! (Since I do love my angst I was kind of looking forward to that.)

The Greene dead thing very mysterious, loving Magnum pondering the watch and figuring things out there at the end after hearing the guy was tortured.

Rick and Higgy getting kidnapped, was probably my least favourite bit. Because it was all just too easy and the investigation too off screen and neither TC or Magnum seemed all that concerned/stressed out.

Like come on, compared to when Juliet got snatch or Magnum poisoned this was like ‘whatever’ and we got just a very small moment Magnum helping Higgy out of the grave there at the end when they were all reunited.

So the story with the kidnapping in itself isn’t really the problem and could have been really great if we got some more emotion from the guys. TC being worried about lying to Suzy (or something) about where Rick had gone and then being all ‘what if-’ and Magnum going ‘don’t man, they’re fine’ to show something. I love TC and Magnum and they were such a fun duo the times when they’ve worked cases before and I didn’t get that as much this time. Because rush and lack of feels?

While I know not everything leads to something and stuff, because that is the nature of episodical TV I think we should have had something here to call back or plant seeds for the future.

So yeah, the kidnapping and k-pop girl plots should/could probably, in my humble opinion each have had their separate episodes and the episode which featured kidnapped Rick and Higgy should have had some stakes and emotions. Like also would not have minded, in a few episodes, for kidnapping episode to have been the Miggy together reveal.

I also kind of figured we might get that at the end, with a big damn Miggy kiss there at the rescue moment. Just because Rick was all ‘Magnum got a GF’ with Juliet at the start in the car. (I guess we’re calling that one baby amnesia, because like a week or two ago Magnum told him he had feelings for Juliet.)

That car convo a the start was gold though. So cute when she’s all happy when Rick says ‘whoever she is he must really like her’ and I found Juliet’s ‘that’s a shame, I was looking forward to meeting her’ both funny and kind of interesting. (Please talented people, give me gifs of this scene!!!)

Anyways, as always, a fun ride, but for me this was not a new fave-fave.

Promos Lie

So yeah, is this news to anyone? No. Am I still a little upset? Yes.

Other than Magnum PI and the occasional Hudson and Rex episode (my mother loves it so I usually help her stream it when I’m there) I don’t watch a whole lot of TV. I certainly don’t watch the promos for episodes before watching them if I do catch an episode of something else.

Thus, I forget, promos lie and get all excited just to be disappointed. I’ve adjusted my expectations accordingly now and am I figuring we’ll get the stuff from the promos at some point but maybe not always in the episode they’re promoting. Such is life even if it is annoying.

Next week

Looking forward to some good old Magnum and Higgins working a case and maybe some development on the Greene case. I’m figuring we can’t go too fast with it, because it’s supposed to be the mid-season finale right? So 7 episodes to go. It looks pretty action packed and we got a concerned Higgy which is always nice.

So yeah, looking forward to next week and if one is lacking Miggy feels there is always the option of re-watching this gif for 4 hours! Enjoy...

Pairing: Liam Dunbar x reader

Warnings: Mentions of blood

Chapter: 5.03

You walk towards the McCall pack with a fake smile on your face. Liam had texted you to meet them before school started. He said some girl from your school called Tracy Stewart had killed someone the night before. As bad as the situation was, it did feel nice to be included.

“Tracy wasn’t just having trouble sleeping,” the redhead states. “It was a real disorder. It was night terrors.”

“Well, now she’s a real-life nightmare.”

“Okay, I know we’re all tired and miserable…” Scott says, as he turns to Mason, who looks fascinated by the whole thing. “Except for you.”

“Oh, I’m sorry,” Mason smiles. “This is all just mind-blowing. You’re a kitsune. I don’t even know what that is.”

You try not to laugh as Kira stands awkwardly, “I’m still learning.”

“What does Tracy look like? I don’t think I’ve seen her before.”

Scott shows you a photo on his phone. The conversation quickly turns back to Tracy and what they should do once she’s found. Malia suggested killing her, which just led to an awkward silence.

Eventually, Lydia shakes her head, “We better get to class.”

You catch Stiles' eye, trying to silently let him know you need to talk to him. He catches on and tells Malia to go on inside without him, which she doesn’t appreciate. “Have you found anything else out about Theo?”

Before you pull an envelope out of your pocket, you make sure the others have walked inside the school building before you. “This was waiting for me when I got home last night.”

You watched as Stiles' face dropped when he opened it. Someone had sent you cut-out pieces from old newspapers about the Hale fire in Beacon Hills, as well as pictures of your mom. He rubbed at his chin, struggling to find something to say.

“Kate was behind it, wasn’t she?” You ask, already knowing the answer.

Stiles nods, “Yeah, she started the fire.”

The answer hits you like a major blow to the head, making you physically ill. “Seven people died,” you mumbled. “There were kids inside. I just don’t understand how anyone could be so evil.”

“Have you told anyone else? Liam? Scott?”

The simple question feels like another blow to the head. You knew Liam didn’t know much about the Argent family, aside from mainly hearing stories about Allison. You didn’t want to explain to him that your biological mom was a murderer. “No, too much stuff is going on right now. I just showed you because…”

Stiles finished your sentences for you. “Isn't it convenient that we are on Theo and something like this happens?”

You nod, “Either someone is seriously trying to fuck with me or cause a distraction.”

When Stiles hands you the envelope back, you feel tears welling up behind your eyes. Your mom was truly a monster. You sigh, “We better go before the class starts.”

Liam gives you a worried look when you walk into your classroom. “You okay?”

“Yeah, I’m fine.” You lie, knowing that if you spoke about it you’d burst into tears.

Liam reluctantly sits down in front of you. You accidentally knock your pencil case onto the ground and let out a groan as you bend down to pick it up. When you reach for your rubber, you notice the person next to you isn’t wearing any shoes. You slowly sit up and recognise that the person sitting next to you is Tracy.

You slowly sit back up and look straight ahead. “Liam,” you whisper. “Can you hear me?”

He nods.

You continue to talk low enough that only he can hear you. “Pretend to get something off of me and look at the person sitting beside me. I think it's Tracy.”

He subtly turns and asks to borrow a pen. When you hand it to him, he nods. A few seconds later, he asks for permission to go to the bathroom.

You feel relieved when a few moments later the fire alarm goes off. You hang back as other classmates exit the room, but when Tracy grabs hold of Hayden, you jump from your chair and try to pry her hand off of the other girl's arm. “Tracy, wake up!”

Tracy lets go of Hayden’s arm and grabs onto your wrist, digging her claws into you.

“Tracy,” Scott says calmly as he walks towards her. “Tracy, let go of her.”

Seeing how much pain you're in, Liam, let’s put a low growl as his eyes start to flash yellow.

You try to pull your arm away, but it only makes her grab on tighter. You notice the sweat dripping down the girl's face as she lets out a hiss before talking, in an almost trance-like state. “They’re coming. They’re coming for all of us.”

The second Tracy lets go of you, Liam pulls you away from her as she collapses to the ground, with silver dripping out of her mouth.

Liam rolls his sleeve down while walking into the hallway. He claps your hand in his, attempting to take your pain away, but it doesn’t work. You watch as Scott carries Tracy in his arms, no doubt taking her to see his boss.

“Hey, Hayden?” You call out as you notice the brunette approaching from behind you. “Are you okay?”

“She wasn’t even supposed to be in our class.” You can hear the worry in her voice. “Where are they taking her?”

“The hospital probably,” Liam answered nervously. “Do you need help going to the nurse's office?”

Hayden glares at him, “I can make it on my own.”

You watch her storm off, before facing a guilty-looking Liam. “I’m gonna go wash up. I’ll catch up with you after.”

“So who is this guy? And why do we hate him?”

Mason laughs at your question as you walk out onto a lacrosse field. You could tell by Liam’s facial expression that he hated Brett, but Mason was the opposite. He looked thrilled to be there.

You wait until the lacrosse game is finished before approaching a very topless Brett. It amuses you to watch how Mason tries to contain his excitement. Liam shows the other wolf the picture of Tracy.

“Cure, but I’ve never seen her before.”

“Could Satomi have turned without you knowing?” Liam asks.

“After the dead pool, Satomi’s not exactly doing much recruiting.”

Mason's eyes light up with curiosity. “That’s how it works? Do Alpha werewolves just go around biting people?”

“Or you can be born like me and my sister,” Brett points out. “Satomi took us in after our family died in a fire.”

The moment you heard those words come out of his mouth, you felt your throat starting to close up. You felt your heart rate start to pick up. Was Kate behind that fire as well? She most likely was, and that thought sickened you.

You weren’t sure if either of the werewolves had picked up on your change in emotion, but if they had, they weren’t letting on. Liam zoomed in on the picture of Tracy on his phone, “I think I found something.”

Curiously, you end up brushing against him to get a look at the screen. “Her necklace?”

Liam doesn’t reply right away, he just looks at you for a moment. The type of look you are thinking of is You looked into his eyes and tried not to let the colour of them distract you. You feel your cheeks starting to burn, so you repeat the question, “So what about her necklace?”

“Uh.. yeah. We need to go back into the woods.”

��So how do you feel about all this supernatural stuff?”

You glance away from staring up into the night sky and over to your friend. “I’ve always known about werewolves, but I don’t have much experience with others. How do you feel?”

When Liam met Mason at school the previous night, a wolf tried to attack them, causing him to shift in front of his friend, forcing him to come clean about everything.

“It’s pretty intense,” he chuckled. “How is your wrist?”

You hold up your bandaged wrist that has specks of blood on it. “It’s not so bad now that it’s stopped bleeding.”

You continued chatting about everything that was happening with Tracy while Liam and Brett walked ahead. You let out an embarrassing noise as you and Mason both fell into the hall. You let out a hiss. You sat up right. “Liam, I think we found the hole!”

“Are you guys hurt?”

“No, we're fine.”

“Do you see the necklace?”

You use the flashlight from your phone as a torch to search for it, but you are unable to see it, but you do notice something else. You step aside when Brett extends his hand down to pull one of you up. You wink at Mason, giving him the go ahead while you continue to look at the marks on the dirt.

Sensing movement behind you, you look up to see Liam reaching down to help you up. You grab his hand and feel a spark of energy that gives you butterflies in your stomach. Once up, you dust yourself down, and try to get some of the mud off your jeans.

“You okay?” Liam asks while pulling a twig out of your hair.

“Yeah,” you smile before pointing down to the hole. “Do you see those marks? Those don’t belong to an animal, a human crawled out of the hole.”

“Tracy was buried alive,” he says, with a horrified expression.

Mason once again looks fascinated, “Intense.”

“Hi, I don’t think we’ve met before. I always remember a pretty face,” Brett says, reaching out to shake your hand. “I’m Brett Talbot.”

You try not to laugh at the stupid grin on his face when you shake his hand out of politeness. He was only being flirty to annoy Liam, which was working as you heard the beta let out a huff. “I’m Lulana Argent?”

He raises his brows, “Argent? I’ve heard that name before.”

You quickly get your hand back, somehow afraid he’d feel your guilt through your sweaty palms. You look around as Liam continues to search in the hole for the necklace. Something didn’t seem right. “Weren’t we much closer to the bridge last time?”

“Yeah.” Liam easily jumps out of the hole, “This is a different hole.”

“Someone else crawled out of this one…”

“Do you want to come in for a bit? I need to go for a shower, but I can hang after, if you want?”

The walk back from the woods had been painfully silent. Brett left from the carpark, and Mason House was closer to it than your uncle's apartment, which meant you and Liam had mostly walked together without saying a word. The silence wasn’t a bad thing; it just didn’t help the bubbling tension between you.

He checked his phone before agreeing, “I thought we might have heard something about Tracy by now. I guess they haven’t found her.”

You felt bad for him that the necklace wasn’t there. It would have been much easier than knowing there were multiple werewolves being buried alive. “Do you want something to drink?”

“Sure, water will be fine.”

When you turned from the fridge, you almost dropped the two bottles in your hand when you saw how close Liam was to you. “Oh my god,” you said, placing your hand on your chest. “You were so quiet, I didn’t even hear you move.”

He gave you the same look that he did on the lacrosse field. “Why did your heart rate go up when Brett mentioned the fire? You haven't been able to relax since.”

You follow him and place the bottles on the table. Truthfully, you didn’t plan on telling him, but you weren’t going to lie now that he’s asked. You pulled the envelope from your school bag and handed it to him. You felt the familiar tightness in your chest as you started to watch him open it. “I’m gonna jump in the shower.”

You wash your hair and body quickly before changing into clean clothes. You tie your wet hair up and head back into the kitchen, where you see Liam tapping his fingers against the edge of the table. He smiles when he sees you. “You aren’t covered in mud now.”

You laughed at Liam's comment. You sit down across from, “Did you read it?”

He nods, “yeah. Do you think your…”

“Kate,” you answer, knowing what he was trying to ask without actually saying the words.

“Do you think Kate killed Brett’s parents as well?”

You shrug, “I honestly don’t know. I’ll need to ask my uncle Chris when he comes back, not that I know when he will.” You sigh, “I don’t know where that came from, someone left it for me to find.”

Liam frowned, “Why didn’t you tell anyone?”

“ I told Stiles, I wanted to tell you… but I just didn’t. Liam, I uh-” you say as you look down at the ground. “I really like you okay, and I’ve never really had real friends until this summer, and I didn’t want to scare any of you off.”

“Scare me off? I have claws and fangs.”

You shoved his arm playfully, “I’m sorry, I just don’t want to cause any more problems. Finding Tracy is the priority.”

Liam gives you a sad smile and says, “Lu, you’re not a problem, and making sure you’re okay is definitely a priority of mine.”

He watched, confused, as you got out of your chair and crouched down in front of him. You cupped his cheeks in your hand and pressed your lips against his lightly.

You went to pull back, but Liam kissed you back, once the shock had worn off. He had wanted to kiss you from the moment you first laughed at one of his dumb jokes, but was too scared to.

When he pulls away from you, his eyes fall to your now bare wrist, still covered in small cuts from Tracy’s claws. His thumb brushes over them as he stares straight ahead with a serious look on his face.

“What’s wrong?”

“I don’t know, but I think Scott’s in danger.”

Miraculous Tales: in the Opposite Universe (Inversed Personas AU) Chapter Three PROTOTYPE + Announcement

This happens after the meeting. Marinette, Adrien, Cerise and Wayhem are reunited in a café terrace of Paris. They drink smoothies.

Marinette: "It's regretful André the Glacier isn't here."

Wayhem: "Who is the Glacier ?"

Adrien: "He's a man from our universe. He offers ice cream to the couples of lovers."

W: "I only know two Andrés: The first is a cynical film producer and the second, the big employee who come from Fathom Company. About your André, I would like to meet this guy. He could make ice cream of Love for Cerise and me."

Wayhem looks at Cerise who became embarrassed. She blushes.

Cerise: "You funny guy !"

The four laugh.

The time has passed and Marinette joins Cerise for return to the latter's home.

C: "I guess Adrien is, in fact, your boyfriend."

M: "Yes. But not really."

The answer confuses Cerise.

M: "I mean: I love Adrien and Adrien loves me. But we haven't made our ship yet. It's still… A work in progress."

C: "Mmhh… I guess. And how could you fall in love with him ?"

From Cerise's question, Marinette tells her the day when she met Adrien at Françoise Dupont School. The times she had tried to confess her feelings to Adrien. The moments when she stalked him for more know him (ex: his tastes, his schedule).

C: "You must be a strange girl, 'Mari-Two'. If I had a boy or a girl to follow, I could make some of your methods. But the fact is I already do spying/stalking."

Marinette is a little astonished.

C: "I stalk for discover Fathom Company's future plans and for find Lycène. I would like to know her real identity, her real face (I would cut her head from photos)."

M: "Have you already found a new holder for the Ladybug Miraculous ?"

C: "Not yet. There are still multiple candidates for the earrings. I exclude the 16 friends who are already permanent Miraculous holders."

Tikki: "I hope you will find the worthy candidate for the earrings."

M: "It's true you are the Guardian of the Miraculouses in this world, I remember. I have never seen your Miracle Box yet. I try to imagine how do the box looks like."

C: "I will present you the Miracle Box."

C: "You'll see that, Mari-Two."

M: "You can call me 'Mari' without the 'Two' word, Cerise."

C: "Got it, Mari."

While the girls go home, Marinette thinks about her counterpart. She's worried about her other self: How did I… What happened to her for she becomes this person in this world ? Where is her current home ?

Announcement: The story happens in an alternate universe. The divergence from the Canon happens between the episodes Revelation/Confrontation (5.20; 5.21) and Collusion (5.22). Based on last infos about The upcoming special episode Miraculous World: Paris, (ft. Shadybug and Claw Noir), the Special's story happens during the episode Destruction (5.03) and a part of Multiplication (5.02). Meanwhile, in my fan-concept, the ShadyClaw incident event never happened.

I've begun the Miraculous Opposite Universe in February/March 2023 on Tumblr (the teasers, the sneak peaks, the leaks about the Re-Verse thing in the Miraculous Canon didn't come yet in this period). This Miraculous fan-concept is used to be in hiatus since End June. I have actually published TWO chapters on AO3. There is actually a third chapter I'm writing since the 14th July but I had abandoned during summer vacation because of the Tinky Winkynos poll series and other concepts (like Fast and Miraculous and Cerisette). I only retook the fanfic in occasional moments.

With the Paris Special Episode that is coming the 21st October, The Opposite Universe would be prematurely stopped. Except for possible rewritings.

The director posted about wrapping day one today and it was for episode 6.03! You can see Christopher behind the clapper! And every season, we’ve gotten really good quality Buckley Diaz family content.

In 2.03, we have Buck meeting Christopher for the first time after the earthquake. Huge deal bc we saw how everything was filmed and we see Buck looking on with a fond expression.

In 3.03 do I even need to explain this??? “There’s nobody in this world I trust with my son more, than you.” That’s all.

In 4.03 we have actual family goodness at the Diaz household. We have Chris asking to go play video games at Buck’s house and then being coparents. The good cop/bad cop comment earlier. And then the little cute prank Buck and Chris did.

In 5.03, Eddie breaks up with his girlfriend but let’s Buck know beforehand. They added an extra episode for the power outage, so if they hadn’t done that, the balcony scene would’ve been apart of the original 5.03 but it got pushed back. Need I say more?

By choosing to believe it happened down the road.// Imagine if the series had ended with 5.03 (as I often like to pretend it did), you could imagine they got together later on in life (which they did - thank you Coach and Mrs. Coach!) so it'll be the same thing after the series finale (except you'll read it in fics instead of seeing it on screen and it'll be written by actual competent writers instead of the Riverdale writers' room).

Obviously we all want to see it with our own eyes.

And it's so validating to get an endgame on your screen.

But as I've come to learn over the years, no one is going to give you exactly what you want better than the writers in your fandom.

We're so lucky because there's so many good fanfictions about Varchie. And I know for certain @andsmile will write something for them once everything is said and done.

So you guys better make sure to give her some well earned praise.

hm, interesting that the writers chose this episode, titled starting over, to literally write a character (toni) saying pretty much verbatim, "i'm sorry for not being supportive of this wonderful gay couple and their strong and healthy love from the get-go even though everyone else saw the beauty in them, i had reasons and excuses but the truth is that i was just wrong, and to atone for that i am going to pour love, time, energy, and resources into specifically celebrating this couple and the strength of their love... and it is going to be a SURPRISE." even to them.

The White Sox At A Glance- The White Sox are up there with the Mets and Padres for most disappointing team this season. Chicago is (3-3) since the All-Star Break and finishes out a nine-game road trip this weekend in Minneapolis. The Sox are still nine games behind the Twins for first place and appear to be sellers as the trade deadline approaches. Tim Anderson has been hot with a .375 average in the second half. Andrew Benintendi is hitting .370 since the break. Jake Burger and Luis Robert each have four homers in July. Yoan Moncada is on a rehab assignment from a back injury. Andrew Vaughn is day-to-day with a foot injury. Liam Hendriks is working his way back from an elbow injury. Mike Clevinger has a biceps injury and hasn’t pitched since mid-June. Joe Kelly also has an elbow injury. The White Sox starting staff owns a 4.61 ERA, which is twentieth in baseball. The bullpen is even worse with a 4.66 ERA, which is twenty-sixth in MLB. Kendall Graveman has locked down eight saves in Liam Hendriks’ absence with Keynan Middleton and Gregory Santos getting higher leverage roles.

The Twins At A Glance- The Twins went (5-2) on their last West Coast swing of the year. The team won’t play a game later than 7:10 CST this year and returns home to a six-game homestand. Byron Buxton is 0-for-his-last-26 and got two days off in Seattle. He has either been pulling balls foul or swinging and missing in his at-bats. Eddie Julien has been hot with a .500 average, five homers, and seven RBI in the month of July. Jorge Polanco is in Omaha on a rehab assignment with the Saints. Jose Miranda received a plasma injection in his right shoulder and the Twins will see how his shoulder is in a week. Caleb Thielbar threw a 30-pitch bullpen session on Sunday in Oakland and is schedule to throw live batting practice on Saturday at home. Brock Stewart is further away than we hoped. The Twins pitching staff had a 4.87 ERA on the road trip and the offense made up for the pitching struggles. Since June 15th, Emilio Pagan has a 1.29 ERA with fifteen strikeouts over fourteen innings of work. He is getting higher leverage situations along with Jordan Balazovic and Oliver Ortega.

What To Watch For- The Twins took two of three from the White Sox in the first homestand of the year then the Sox won two of three in Chicago in early-May. This is the last series at Target Field between the two teams. Lance Lynn is (2-2) with a 4.50 ERA in nine starts against the Twins. Willi Castro has two homers off Lynn. Joe Ryan has a 1.80 ERA over ten innings versus the Sox. Dylan Cease is (4-4) with a 5.03 ERA in eleven starts versus the Twins. Max Kepler has three homers off Cease in his career. Sonny Gray is (5-2) with a 4.08 ERA in eleven games against the Sox. Lucas Giolito is (8-9) with a 3.88 ERA in twenty-two career starts against the Twins. Max Kepler has three career homers off Giolito. Carlos Correa and Michael Taylor have homered twice off Giolito. Bailey Ober is (2-1) 3.38 ERA in eight starts versus Chicago. Andrew Vaughn has taken Ober deep twice in his career. The Twins have some winnable games against a mediocre Sox team this weekend.
