History of the Daft Punk duo by Aneta Dolega and Dominik Bułka
(do not remove credit)
1992 Before two french musicians Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo started to wear their robot suits under the band name Daft Punk and raised a musical revolution on dance floors, they’ve played in an indie-rock band called „Darlin’”, together with their school mate – Laurent Brancowitz. Bangalter and Homem-Christo have meet in the paris school Lycée-Carnot back in 1987. Soon, Brancowitz caught up with them. Melody Maker described the band, which name was taken from a Beach Boys track, as „a bunch of daft punk”. Darlin’ was allready spotted by the british band Stereolab, who took one of the Darlin’s tracks on a compilation, made by their own label. They’ve also made some concert possible for the Darlin’ to play in UK. The first Darlin’ single was sold in 1500 copies. A good start however, didn’t brought enough success and band awareness. Darlin’ was not yet broadly known in the homeland. Soon, bored with lack of progress, Bangalter and Homem-Christo started the electric band Daft Punk, and Brancowitz joined pop-rock band Pheonix.
1993 It’s been said, that its the best since the guillotine. Both gentlemen ditched guitars and found their new passion in EuroDisneyLand, where they took part in a huge rave party. The name Daft Punk was inspired by a review, the band got in a music magazine. But there is also the alternative story behind it, which tells that the name is short for “Dogs, Androids, Firemen and Tomatoes”. At this time, both guys have already started their experiments with electronica, synthesizers and drum machines. Soon, the duo was signed in Soma Quality Records. The label boss – Stuart Macmillan decided to launch a test-single record with Daft Punk.
1994 The debut single called “The New Wave” gets published, and receives a very warm welcome in the music industry. It seams that Daft Punk have moved the borders of the House music. They’ve added some disco and rock elements to it in an innovative way. In the end, the Daft Punk sound is a fusion of techno rhythm, with some inspirations from their youth. You can find Jimi Hendrix, Kiss, Television, Talking Heads, David Bowie or Serge Gainsgourg sounds in there. This way the Daft Punk duo stands hand in hand with Air and Cassius, as the ambassadors of the new wave of french music.
1995 In may 1995, Daft Punk has already gathered material for the new single, called “Da Funk”. On one of the versions, you could find a clip, directed by american director Spike Jonze (who made videos for Beastie Boys, Fatboy Slip, or “Be like John Malkovich”). It was the first time that the band had such a huge commercial success, selling over 30.000 copies of the record. They’ve won the UK, where they had supported for one of their favorite bands – The Chemical Brothers. It was also the general respect of the DJ community which they’ve received, with the remixes of the Brothers records, which also helped. In this period, the band got the attention of major record companies, who had noticed the success of the band and the rising popularity of house and rave music in Europe. In the end, Daft Punk signed a deal with Virgin Records, which let the artist have maximum of their freedom and a deal with their own record label Daft Trax.
1997 The duo gets to launch their own record label Daft Trax and take control of the productions. They also keep strict control over their appearance, showing on all promotional material in their famous masks, to keep their looks private. It all was important, with the ongoing “Daft Punk” press madness. The original headgear will evolve with time, and by the beginning of the XXI the gents will play gigs in high-tech helmets, designed by special-fx companies like Alterian (Zombieland) or Ironhead Studio (Batman Forever, Iron Man 2). The robot look will become their alter-ego with time. In one of the interviews, Homem-Christo explains, that its just a “creation” which allows the duo to make music, and the look is a great accessory to make a full picture to the sound they are creating. The robots are in the focus, not they, he added. On the 20th of January 1997 Daft Punk official launches the debut album, called “Homework”. On the playlist, we could find “Da Funk” and the new single “Around The World”, which becomes a huge hit. Even until now it is seen as a part of the electronic music golden era of late 90′. The band enjoys appreciation not only from the fans of electronic music, but also from the mainstream circles. Their popularity reaches the other side of the ocean, and “Da Funk” lands on the soundtrack to the “Sankt” movie picture directed by Philip Noyce. Soon, the band wins golden records in few countries, plays at the biggest festivals like Lollapallooza or Glastonbury. Their fame reaches other meaning, when the band asks fans to bring toys, in exchange for the Rex Club concert tickets. The gifts are then taken to a charity organization, which takes care of the poor children on the streets of Paris.
1998 The half of the duo – Thomas Bangalter, who started his own label Roulé sooner, launches a EP called “Music Sounds Better with You”, recorded together with other musicians under the name Stardust. The record becomes a hit, and dominates the charts and dance-floors all over the world. Bangalter also starts collaborations with the movie industry and records together with the french director Gaspar Noe. He writes music for controversial “Irréversible” with Monica Bellucci and “Enter the Void”.
2001 – 2005 The musicians join forces and record a very appritiated single “One More Time”, with a manga-styled video clip. Next, the “Discovery” album appears in march 2001. Using the rising returning wave of 70′s and 80′s disco music, the records becomes a commercial success. Soon after that, the french duo team up with japanese director Kazuhisa Takenouchi in “Interstella 5555: The 5tory of the 5ecret 5tar 5ystem”. The animated movie uses the same imaginary world of japaniese manga, which is used in the video clips for “Discovery”. On the 15th of march 2005 the “Human After All” LP goes on sale. The record is named the worst in the Daft Punk history. A huge tourne seems to rescue the image of the record. The band appears in high-tech robots suits with huge light-pyramids in background.
2006 – 2009 Daft Punk unleash the full potential of their creativity in their first directed motion picture “Daft Punk’s Electroma”, which had its premier at the film festival in Cannes. It tells a story off robots which want to become human. Still, the band continues to work on music, and by the end of 2008, their start to work on the forth album. In meantime, Daft Punk makes music for ads and movies. Homem-Christo becomes a producer for various projects. He is responsible for the success of “Sexuality” by Sébastien Tellier. One year later, Daft Punk wins two Gramy awards: best electronic album “Alive 2007” (recorded at Paris Bercy Palais Omnisports on 14.06.2007), and best single “Harder Better Faster Stronger” in the same category.
2010 In summer of 2010, Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo are honored with a prestigious award – title of Ordre des Arts et des Lettres for their accomplishments in the field of arts in France and in the world. Couple of month later, Daft Punk write the original motion picture score to the science-fiction movie “TRON: Legacy”, directed by Joseph Kosinski. The sound of synthesizers and classical orchestra get combined. The dance tune “Derezzed” gets also a feature on the album. The record only sharpens the appetite of the fans.
2013 On the 21st of May the shop shelfs get a new guest – the long awaited new album from Daft Punk: “Random Access Memories”. The record is promoted through “Get Lucky” featuring Pharrell Williams. The album also gets co-work of musicians such as: Julian Casablancas (The Strokes), Panda Bear, Nile Rodgers, Todd Edwards and the disco music legend – Giorgio Moroder. With the most of the tracks recorded with use of live instruments, the band pays honors to the roots of electronic music from 70s and 80s.

Air did a poor job of not being polluted so Lee Soo Man flooded the world instead. The man himself certainly must be long gone and could not have been in charge of that decision but the legacy of his company far exceeds the legacy of any other human collective in history. Once on this planet, gas was the fluid of choice for respiration and breathing was an unconscious reflex. Now there’s Aether by SM. How very on-brand of them to have the liquid air you breathe follow perfume naming conventions.
Open your eyes and exit the sleeping chamber. Aether has you work for each inhalation, it desaturates the color of the bedroom—maybe there’s a subtle but uncomfortable tinge of yellow—and it makes your nose itch. Your muscles wield much less force than they used to because of the lack of resistance the fluid provides. Moreover, it smells like hairspray as though the ozone layer is taking sardonic revenge.
Screens impersonating windows track your eyes to ensure realistic parallax, playing the scene of divine blue heavens that could not exist. An azure sky is a reward for those planets that have an atmosphere and a sun for light to scatter. Your walls are either chrome or drywall white and your whole bedroom is plainly decorated just like the day you moved in.
“Etymology of bedroom,” you think out loud, though it falls on no ears.
“Bedroom is a compound noun consisting of bed and room. Bed goes back to Old English bedd ‘sleeping place, plot of ground prepared for plants,’ which goes back to the Germanic-”
Plants and sleep are both strong words to use nowadays. The former doesn’t exist in nature and it seems you’re the only one who bothers with the latter. Faint buzzing distracts you from the AI’s response and signals you to the nano drones that swim throughout the liquid to process carbon dioxide from your lungs. This whole ordeal could’ve been much worse if you didn’t have brain interfaces doing the hard part of controlling your diaphragm. The most you need is a purposeful thought. Still, it gets tiring having to think the same thought every three seconds. In. Out.
Was the metaphorical Soo Man teaching a lesson in perseverance? You love K-pop and imagine it’s how trainees used to practice dancing, singing, being charismatic. Being an idol had to be as natural as breathing air. Inhale and exhale. Right now with any antiquated programming language you clung on to, you could write a single for loop that did the same job. For every three seconds: breathe in, breathe out.
“What’s for breakfast today?” Not loud enough. “What’s for breakfast?” you think it louder.
“Welcome, master. Ae-Karina is ready for service.” It’s quite a kindness for SM to blur the bland dystopia you live in by augmenting reality through your neural device. A bosomy woman in a gold-lined but otherwise modest maid outfit appears from the corner of your eye and she bows. Ae-Karina is bewitching and almost becoming of her basis as its graphics have gradually upgraded over the rotations but you wouldn’t misconstrue the avatar as human.
“I said, what’s for breakfast!” It feels impolite to scream in your head, there’s other residents there, but finally the fridge lights up.
“Of course master. May I remind you eating is unnecessary?”
In. Out. Every day, she does remind you, yes. How kind of the company to put all your nutritional requirements in the new air. Aether goes in then Aether goes out. You wish the thoughts of breathing could fade into the background but they’re just like your cravings for food. Always hungry but never starving, whole though not once satisfied. Your eyes pause at her gorgeous face and she tells you there’s bacon. Take it from your fridge. Bacon goes in. Well, the drones take care of the out.
Your assigned living space is the entire 207th floor of a tower. Two hundred and seven floors below the surface. The neighbor a few floors upstairs says that he thinks living deeper is a sign of status. What a luxury. That guy should check the status of his facial muscles, maybe improve his code that lets him tell lies while he’s at it. A couple hundred flights of stairs to swim up is a useless skeuomorphism of skyscrapers in the days of the sun. In fact they were more than useless, you would've preferred a single vertical hallway as it would have let you propel upwards unimpeded. Each floor is the exact same, a glass door that affords no privacy for its residence, a false tree on each side. At the upper levels, malls, convenience stores and other gaudy retail, but it’s the gyms that mock you that you mock in return. They’re always empty.
Finally reaching the top is no true break even if it is a change in scenery. Inhale. Aether tastes a little different up here. Exhale. Can’t say you like it.
Countless satellites form a parody of the star from which the planet flew away, the false image refracted by the upper boundary of Aether. They can’t take away your memories of this star. Looking up at the sky once blinded you with ultraviolet radiation, burning your cornea. It was beautiful. Now everyone’s decided that if they’re playing the part of corporate dystopia, they might as well fit the aesthetic. In a way, it’s self-fulfilling. They wouldn’t have chosen a neon pink sun to compliment the blue and metallic gloom of the cityscape if it weren’t so ingrained in popular media already.
Still, you would’ve expected Google or Walmart to become the megacorp responsible for the state of the world, not a Korean entertainment company. Must’ve been quite the red paperclip scenario. Instead of material design or utilitarian architecture, tacky artistic structures line the streets. The same advertisements for albums that they’ve been selling for the past however long. It's all so obvious, the city could've been designed from scratch to accommodate new forms of travel and goddamn liquid air but instead they went with futuristic Tokyo.
Dubstep permeates your inner ear implants. A notification informs your thoughts that it’s “Hip-hop EDM dance pop with a strong jungle house groove and urban influences.” It’s dubstep. Liquid carries barely any sound so SM affords the option for implants if you're nostalgic for one of the senses. Even though it’s a slower form of communication than direct neural transfer, the noise comforts you. Of course the company would choose dubstep as their background music, but maybe they make money off refunds somehow. It switches to Ice Cream Cake. Much better.
You walk the not so busy roads towards a short brick warehouse in the distance and heavy rain soaks your clothes. No such thing as weather without the sun and water but it’s all simulated anyway.
A warm Seulgi adlib and you know it’s Psycho that starts playing. No, none of your senses are real. The most you could trust is your vision but even that’s being lied to. You could be living in a vat and fed all these thoughts, but then why make it so mediocre? Not paradise, nor torture but a lukewarm in-between. Guess that's what happens when SM Entertainment manages the post-apocalypse. Good on them for trying. The alternative would be a frozen hellscape without solar radiation. Can’t deny their work with geothermal and nuclear energy to keep the Aether warm so that you didn’t have to live underground for the rest of human history. It’s quite great PR to save humanity.
“Hey now, we’ll be okay,” repeats a few more times than you remember.
The Idea Factory Alpha White Delta Green says the neon tubes lighting the front of the brick and mortar building. Your ID card bears a name but it’s not yours, not until they approve your name change. Those usually get processed faster with how often people liked changing their names.
Sit at a desk with a sterile white keyboard and slick new monitor. Type and empty words appear on the screen: “Think for the many, not for the one. We need to think ahead.” A thumbs up. The company appreciates the input. That’s probably enough work for one day. Some SNSD live stages help the time pass, SM certainly appreciated the streaming numbers and it would net you some social points.
It’s hard to say what comes to mind when they ask you to envision a world without the sun and air, especially since it’s what you’ve known for... Two hundred years? There’s no frame of reference, that much you can tell from when you counted seconds to see how often the satellites completed their orbit. SM really took time to have them propel at random speeds, they love withholding sensitive information like that from citizens. To be fair, time is sensitive. Guess the meaning of that phrase changes like all parts of language.
Look around. Dozens of employees at identical workspaces all try to answer the same questions. Naturally, there’s no need for manual labor anymore but there will never be a replacement for human ingenuity. Nice slogan but you know you’re only here for data. Can’t see a need for customer retention though—what’s the alternative, skip Earth? See you on another planet?
“Hey bro, you come up with anything new?” Dave says. Two desks away, you see the enthusiastic, surprisingly spry man play around with a Newton’s cradle. The balls at each end bounce back and forth, not slowing down their rhythm any time soon.
“I think I got something,” you say, “Earth is not the answer. It can’t be, long term.”
“Ooh, I like that. Actually, I really like that.”
“What are you gonna do, copy me?”
“Of course not. You know how much SM hates plagiarism.” Click. Clack.
“Ha. As if there’s a single original thought left in the world.” Click. Clack. The imaginary sounds of metal spheres bouncing play in your mind. They got the volume wrong, no way it’d sound that loud from that distance. “You’d think with all their resources, they’d have figured out space travel by now.”
“I don’t think they want to leave, bro. Wouldn’t be great for profits.”
Your mouth opens to laugh and causes laugh8942.mp3 to play in Dave’s head. “I love it. SM probably hates that sass too,” you say.
“Oh no, they’re gonna arrest me for thoughtcrimes. Nah, they love creativity, just when it suits them. Also, if they actually did bust you for wrongthink like rumors say, I wouldn’t have this on me.” Dave twirls a finger and points at you and you thank his absurd flair for the histrionic that keeps you amused with such drab work.
“NewDrug.mp6. Would you like to play it?” the dry system voice notifies you.
“Woah woah there tiger, hold on.” Dave must’ve noticed your intrigued eyes and holds his hands up. “You might wanna experience that at home. But if you’re interested in more, ask for chicken parm at the vegan place. You know the one.”
Dave leaves his desk. He doesn’t return. You finish your work. Inspire. Expire. You’d rather not.
In contrast to your commute to work, the roads fill with others on your way home. You have to know. Take solace in the comfort of a bench where a huge McDonald’s arch bathes the surroundings and its people with a yellow glow. Really shouldn’t watch it now, especially if Dave says it’s a home type of watch but you have to know. A family of five watches you pass out. They, along with every other passerby, ignore your still body draped over the chrome outdoor seating as you look like yet another junkie. The title is correct after a fashion, the simulation is some sort of new drug. The details of the exploits that happen in the immersive replay wash over you but you don’t need them to know that it’s the sort of lewd that SM would not allow—at least not publicly and not without the right exorbitant payment.
Suit pants and underwear go straight to the laundry. That must’ve been an embarrassing sight but no one bothered to stop you, so it doesn’t matter. Look up where this vegan place was that Dave so presumptuously assumed you knew about and you find that it’s about four Avengers’ stores down from work. He must’ve eaten there before.
“Yo Dave, just wanna make sure, what’s the name of the vegan place called?”
“What are you talking about, man? You telling me there’s some secret underground farms that SM wouldn’t know about?”
You can’t tell when you got to work, a lack of standardized timing would help as well the haze of living in a monotonous dark. “Nah, I mean, for the-”
“I have no idea,” Dave emphasizes each word, “what you’re talking about.”
“I see.”
Work flies by, unusually.
“Hey, can I get a chicken-”
“Uh, this is Maron’s Veggies Only, it clearly says on the sign.”
Clear your throat. “Parm.”
The shifty part-time worker looks around and rubs his fingers gesturing for money. “No digital.”
Over the counter, you pass him a gold coin stamped with a holographic 1 and he hands you a USB stick and a laptop in return. How old-fashioned.
“It’ll sync with whoever you have set as your avatar experience aspect,” the worker says.
“Thanks.”
Ever vigilant as the patrol is, the alleys are the last place you want to go to hide with the obvious criminal element within them all but you head to one anyway. Dump the anachronistic technology in your storage pocket dimensions. Looking at its contents, you’d have to clean that mess up later, but the more you look like an average slob the better. The biggest problem with the inventories is all the people squatting in them. Inspectors wouldn’t care about the archaic ruins you left in yours.
“Welcome, master. Ae-Karina is ready to service.”
“I’d like to go on a date. A special date.” You highlight the key word special and sit on your living room couch. No one’s going to look in your glass door and regardless, you wouldn’t be the pervert for glimpsing into someone’s home.
“Ah yes, master. Ae-Karina is ready to fully service,” she says with a provocative tint in her tone, her sclera disperses to black to match. A pole drops from the ceiling while parts of her maid outfit dissolve which reveals more of the silky skin of her thighs, her lissom arms and most importantly her overflowing breasts. Ae-Karina wraps her legs around the pole and spins around, teasing fingers trace curves on her body to harden you. Her dance is precise but sultry regardless. She pulls up her short skirt to flaunt more of her ass beneath white panties and then pulls down to flourish her cleavage, not trapped by a bra. “Are you enjoying your maid’s show?”
“Very much so, yes,” you say.
Half of a smile forms before a glitch occurs and she teleports next to you, fully nude. It doesn’t pull you out of the illusion however. You just stare and drink in the splendor of her created body.
“You’re not going to touch?” Ae-Karina says.
A feel of her tits and you find it softer than pillows you used to rest on. Soft isn’t much of a character that exists anymore when the whole world is engulfed in liquid. No one has beds, especially with the rarity of sleep. Therefore, her mounds are a consummate dedication to the texture as you squeeze and pinch at her cute nipples.
Her maid outfit rematerializes as she straddles you. It provides more friction to your pants as she begins her lap dance. The weight of her body dragging across your legs and clothed erection induces your carnal impulses further. If only you could fuck the virtual idol. You have to make do with the imprint of her pussy lips on your bulge sliding up and down. Breath in. Breath out.
Ae-Karina pulls down your boxers and spits on your erection. It's not real but her hands so slick on your cock and you let reality slip. Real is for the past, you have desires gratified in the present. There is no real person nibbling at your neck but your nerves activate in sexual desire without discernment for truth. No, she doesn't love you, but when the voracious mass of ones and zeroes says it loves its master, you say it back.
"I love you."
ILOVEYOU infected ten million computers in 2000. An explosion. Calibration engaging. It’s 1:21 PM, Sunday, July 18, 2286 and hypothetically the sun would be out in its full rage. At this latitude and longitude, you’re at what was once the epicenter of all—Seoul, where a fountain caused a chain reaction allowing the hopeful remnant of a world to exist. It lasted a surprisingly long time without the sun and without Aether but the dying planet would succumb inevitably to the ever-increasing contamination so SM of all corporations took charge. A different kind of chain reaction occurred when they acquired a restaurant chain that discovered the recipe for liquid air. The law is on its way and prepared to punish you to its full extent.
You reel while your ears ring. An even sexier version of the woman you already fantasized about appears from your peripheral vision in the crater of your floor. A skimpy cop outfit, striated with reflective material that seems to wane black at different angles, outlines Karina’s curves. She has a tool belt with absurd gadgets, such as a knife baton hybrid, a taser combined with a spray bottle and a Tamagotchi. None of this is necessary. They could just immediately arrest you, impose limitations on your devices. Sure, SM cloned people to deal with underpopulation, but why Karina would be the enforcer is a whole nother issue. Maybe the entertainment company loves their irony?
“Halt. You’re under arrest. Any resistance will be penalized according to the combined Terms of Service of all SM and SM associated products.”
Fucked anyway, you figure you might as well go for it. Escape into your inventory and only seconds later you’re forced out. You manage to get what you need regardless.
“Violation of access rights will be charged to your account.”
It’s so obvious but there’s a reason you kept so much gold in physical storage. As you swim away, the sides of your apartment start to bubble. Bubbles? Already, your limbs feel unsteady. Something’s wrong in the Aether.
“This is standard procedure for escaping suspects that are indoors. Again, this is all agreed to under the Terms of Service.”
“When the fuck did I ever click accept to that shit?”
“When you were born in this world and decided you want to stay in it,” Karina says out loud. You hear her say it. Your physical ears process the vibrations in the air that come from her mouth. Gravity thwarts your desperate escape as your limp body floats on the limit between liquid and air. The atrophy of your muscles becomes apparent within the gaseous atmosphere. She watches you sink down as the room drains of all the false air though her eyebrows crease when she inspects you closer. Your breaths are involuntary. Despite your muscles shorting out, the force of gravity and the pressure of the gas bearing down on you, you’re breathing and you don’t mean to. Her eyes wander farther down. On your pants, a concrete rod stamps the fabric.
“Oh, you like what you see?”
“Shut up, criminal. Anything you say can and will be used against you.”
“Your pussy,” you say and she scoffs.
“Original.” Karina bites her lip as your erection continues to grow behind its prison. You use all effort to put your hands up.
“Please, miss Karina. I’ve been bad.”
“I could punish you even more for sexual assault.”
“Then do it.”
Heat radiates the room in a way you haven’t felt in a while and droplets of sweat form on each of your bodies, especially on the thighs that her revealing outfit parades. Her facial features contort in deliberation and the wait kills you. You bat your eyes at her before Karina takes off her tight shorts and drops herself into your anticipatory face. This makes no sense but none of this life made any sense so you decide to go with the tides.
Centuries of training your respiration has led to this moment, but when you finally have real air to breathe, you spit at the opportunity and choose to suffocate. Then you spit at her pussy and lap it up. Karina’s nectar transfixes your olfactory glands, for once a smell that isn’t the sterile Aether. Your eyes are mesmerized in parallel because of the perfect design of her pussy, a single crease that leads into her hole that your tongue emphatically explores. Karina spreads her thighs wide to reveal a small nub that craves attention. So give it. Suck and swirl and flick your tongue, and the woman provides you the tight clench of her legs as a gift. And the sounds, rediscovered glorious noise. Loud, almost too loud, and clear is how they assault your ears, even surrounded by the flesh of her thighs. Muffled by the weight of her legs, you hear Karina moan in approval but she’s still clearly in charge with how she chokes you with her legs. This is not about your pleasure but hers, and any satisfaction that you derive is not only incidental but probably punishable by SM copyright law.
Karina squirms her hips subtly on your mouth. Her eyes are sharp and she’s just about to stop your hands from moving but she notices them clasp together.
“I’ll do anything to make you cum, please.” you say sloppily as her pussy juices fill your cheeks and drip down your chin.
“God. I can’t.” She takes deep, contemplative breaths. ”That’s more time added on for inappropriate behavior.” Her groaning and brief squeals make her words sound incogent.
You give her a concluding lick and a kiss on her slit. “So what have you been doing right now then?”
Point to a corner of the room and a subtle red light indicates a recording camera. At once, she pulls out a hose from a pocket that could not fit it and the vacuum submerges the room with noise. Her expression shifts quickly to serious.
“We don’t play games here in SMTOWN unless it’s SuperStar so don’t fuck with me.”
“Look who's trying to be a comedian. How about you fuck with me any further and the video gets released.”
“That’s funny, you think you have any sort of power-”
“Yoo Jimin, I suggest you don’t push me more.”
“Where do you know that name from? Right now.” She weighs herself down on your neck.
“You think I don’t have contingencies for if I die too? Karina, we can make this a  win-win scenario. We both get to cum, we both get to walk away unscathed.”
“Fuck you.”
Your weak arms wander between her thighs. At any moment, a feeble punch towards your face or another ten seconds of asphyxiation and she could call your bluff. Even if you did have the ability to expose her perversions in any way, there would be no permanent recourse, not as long SM was in charge. So it surprises you when Karina takes off her shorts.
“Goddammit. Your cock just looks too good. And your mouth, how are you so good with it?” Put up five fingers when she motions to remove her top as well, and instead she opts to take off your clothes, seizing your pants and throwing them to join the rubble in the room.
A finger slips in, then two and a third dares. Her flawlessly architected pussy lips clings to your digits and Karina shudders in reply. You explore her wetness and find it’s smooth to the point of having no faults, but her juice inside is gloppy and causes your fingers to stick more than the liquids she spills from her slit.
“Who said you’re allowed to have more?”
You lap up the nectar on your fingers. “Then why’d they make you taste so good?”
Your thumb teases her sweet tight asshole and puts just the slightest amount of pressure on it while you finger her with more intensity. The mass of her butt burdens your torso the closer she gets to orgasm. Her eyelids squeeze close and you see her body ripple in anxious pleasure. Karina shows off her pearly whites, teetering on the cliff of hysteria.
“Yes, yes! I’m so close,” she screams.
"Not yet."
“Fuck." Karina sobs, "God. Damn, fuck I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Just fuck me.”
“My pleasure,” you say. There’s no need for you to grab her since she brings herself down to your groin, which you’re thankful for as your arms are as good as jelly now. Fortunately, your cock throbs as hard as ever while Karina’s slit rests on it.
“Say you’ll delete it all, all the evidence, promise me.”
“You’re gonna fuck me first or what?” Your breath hitches while she makes a strangled noise as her velvety walls swallow your cock whole to leave no room for comfort. Her tightness is stifling and you have to start counting just to breathe again.
“One two-”
“Be quiet.”
But there is no quiet when pleas for your cooperation intersperse her excessive profanities when she seats herself into your cock and ricochets up and down. Sweat emanates from her creamy skin while her legs widen to find a better angle for her supporting knees in her cowgirl position. Grapefruit and other citrus mingle with the scent of the sweat, fruits you haven’t seen except on billboards in music videos. As much as your mind crackles and your blood roars for every atmosphere of pressure Karina’s walls provide on each thrust in and out, you can’t help but reminisce on sweeter, more innocent times.
The white fluorescent lights in your apartment sputter. For all the advancements in technology, some among many things never change. Light refracts differently in air, less bright, but you can see the pure enjoyment on Karina’s face no matter the luminescence. Karina slows her ride to pull her hips down harder instead and she jolts when your cock finds the most tender spots inside her pussy and it interrupts her babbling.
Karina almost hyperventilates when she gets up to spit on your cock. She pulls out some kind of meter from her tool belt and sighs when there’s no beeping and you recognize it having to do with carbon dioxide. She gets back to dribbling saliva and the filament trailing down to your shaft mesmerizes you. This spit is real, not simulated, and it wettens your erection in a mix with her pussy juices to paralyze you further in your already listless state. Her bare thighs jiggle and you can’t exert much force with your hands but her buttcheeks are firm with just a bit of give.
“Thank you for this cock, thank you for being bad,” Karina says as you watch her ass sink deeper while her pussy holds your dick taut. She’s frenetic when bounces up and down to play an unadulterated orchestra of slick noises between your groins.
“You’re welcome,” you accomplish getting out the words between planned breaths. Your hands cup her buttcheeks but you fear they may break with how she strikes her ass into you.
Karina turns around once more to give you the spectacle of her facial expressions as she fucks herself into you. Knead her calves laying on your torso and they take no energy to spread them though she brings them back together, compressing your hard shaft within her pussy. A new game you play with her, a separate rhythm of loosening and tightening. Her feet press on your chest to help her bounce, but the way they bear down on your lungs against the timing of your breathing causes you to fumble. Your cock bends straight forward as she plunges herself into you and it sends prickles to your entire skin, making the new angle difficult but worth it. Karina takes your hand and starts sucking on your fingers.
“You want my promise that bad?” you say.
“Yes, as bad as I want your cum. I swear, I need it.”
She draws her knees up to her torso and hugs her legs to keep thighs as tight together as possible. Karina couldn’t keep her word, she was trying to kill your cock with constriction.
“Fuck, your pussy is so fucking tight. God, Karina, fuck. You’re so good.” Even if good isn’t the word you want to use to describe her.
“Do it, please, please. I’m sorry, I’m so sorry, baby. Karina can be a good girl, a good maid, a good cop, whatever you want. Just don’t get me in trouble, please.”
Karina’s mouth stops saying words though her lips writhe, drunk in increasing lust. Her cheeks flush, before the rest of her skin joins in redness while she grapples your chest and whatever spare limb she can find. You still struggle wresting control of your body but nature seems to take over when you drive yourself into her and match her needy cadence. The air in the room is replaced by a new air but it isn’t Aether. Passion, sweat, heat and all fluids that you both exude join squelching sounds, slaps and moans in harmonic bliss when her body tenses and she screams. As her body tightens, her pussy especially holds your cock for dear life and endeavours to wring out all your semen as her wetness throbs and spills. Karina starts counting to three repeatedly and you laugh though your amusement quickly subsides when you feel her juices become more viscous and she continues her ride, even in the dying pulses of her climax.
“Was I good?” Karina asks.
Just a moment goes by before you mentally send her a screenshot of all the recordings being deleted. Karina hasn’t stopped fucking you yet so at least it wasn’t a ploy.
“Thank you, thank you, I love you.” The flexion of her pliant legs brings them all the way back to rest on top of your legs. Karina lays prone above you and finally give you a kiss. The citrusy flavor may be closer to lime than grapefruit but it’s been so long that you can’t remember which scent is which. Lips crash and her tongue lashes out at yours trying to establish dominance. Keep still to let her investigate your mouth while her pussy does the same to your shaft.
You savor the way Karina’s top emphasizes the bouncing of her tits synchronous with the rebounding of her waist on your cock, but your mouth waters when she frees them. Take the shortest moment to relish in the sight before Karina smothers you with her plump globes. You wriggle your face to try to breathe. Inhale, up and exhale, down, but all you inhale is the scent of her orbs’ sweat. Her hips undulate with a pace at least double yours breathing and the echoes of slapping flesh resonate throughout the air-filled chamber. The loudness is unlike any you’ve experienced in a long time. It’s almost a flashbang every time her ass slams into your lap, especially as you start to see white when orgasm threatens to overload you with preludial pulses.
The last words you hear infected ten million computers in 2000. Fade to black. Cut. You’re slammed out of existence back into existence as a sun rebirths both within you, heating your core to a dangerous high, and from your eyes, dazzling you in an unforgiving white light. In the throes of unconsciousness relapsing to consciousness back to tenebrosity, your streaks of semen suspend in the Aether like a dead tree resting from the wind. What flashes your mind in its orgasmic state are two things only you would remember, plants and weather. Your hyperventilation is unconscious but not unwelcome, as it’s the first time in a while your breaths were reflexive even in the liquid air. However, basking in your newfound power, you start to choke. Right. You breathe in and out again. In and out. In. Out. In. Out. Back in.
“Replaying KarinaArrestsYou.mp6.” A hint of vexatious glee in the system’s otherwise dry voice. You don’t stop for it.

It’s pretty silly but the idea danced around in my head ever since I saw the absolute Black Mirror concept that SM had for aespa and I concur that Karina is insanely hot.
As I’m writing this, this Kurzgesagt video on the idea of a rogue Earth comes out and now I have to rewrite stuff to make it at least a little consistent. I’m obviously already going nuts with all these ridiculous sci-fi concepts but this video almost feels too targeted to me writing this for me to ignore it.

IDU:
Music is an essential part of any culture, with different types of music being attributed to different cultures. For some, music is a part of entertainment while for some, it is their identity. Some examples of music being a part of their culture would be Ghazzal, a major part of Pakistani Culture, or Rap in USA. Not only is it a part of our culture, but it is a part of our own individual expression as through music, we can present our feelings, our opinions, our own personality. For example, in several romantic songs, the singer presents his/her relationship with the other. While in recent years, globalization has changed many cultures, personal expression and surrounding dynamics/concepts. Different music philosophies have now been mixed, as we can see in the music video of the PSL Anthem “Groove Mera”.
4 different musical cultures are mixing to produce a musical piece. The first one is traditional Punjabi Music, which Naseebo Lal presenting it, a staple cultural music type in Punjab; but it has been influenced from the modern aspect as the graphics of the video was, not traditional-like, but much more contemporary, which meant that cultural expression has been changed due to changing times. Then, pop music is shown by Aima Baig who uniquely presents pop as she uses Urdu as her vocals while more orthodox and pop-related visuals are used. After that, Then, Young Stunners had a segment in which they presented hip-hop, which is a unique type of music, compared to other local types. EDM was also used in several parts; EDM was involved in the traditional music of Naseebo Lal, and again, towards the end of the song, where they had their part.
Furthermore, the music (and the music video) explored a concept that has never been discussed before, which is the equal distribution of gender. For the first time in PSL history, a woman would present in their theme song; furthermore, there were as many women as many males presenting in the theme song, which is symbolic of many things. The first being that it represents Pakistan’s women, who consist of 50% of the country, and the song achieves that. The Pakistani Women’s Cricket Team has been there from 1997 but viewership has been low, but this video encourages viewers to also watch it, alongside men’s cricket. On the other hand, the diversity in the music represents Pakistan too as Pakistan is a place that was made for the minorities and is filled with people with different genders, religions, races, and cultures.
The song also presents the interlinked and bonding between Pakistanis, that how we all are brothers and sisters and we are united. The video beautifully shows how the fans watch cricket together and enjoy it too. Besides, the music too supported this as the lyrics reinforced the fact that crowd enjoy cricket and they are heart and soul of cricket. Another part was regarding how the cricket forum had been changed due to COVID and now, there were no crowds in live matches so it had to be online. The video showed that fans were now viewing on their phones and television rather than in stadiums. Even the lyrics said, “Ab dekha crowd mera groove TV pe” which meant that the singers too emphasized the fact that crowd will now witness cricket from the screens at their homes, a part of the singers’ personal expression.
This can also link with design and art in few other ways. Design and art are both forms of personal creation, as one can produce it independently and is based on your own talent and creativity. Music is also part of it as music is also one’s personal creation and expression and shares the same characteristics with the other 2 topics. Like musician, an artist/designer makes his piece which does resemble his feelings or to represent his own culture. Alongside, they are a major part of one’s culture and can represent it individually; for example, the Mona Lisa, is a major part of the renaissance period and its culture.
IDU, in my opinion, is very important for a student as it can help in their knowledge as it combines two subjects and gives a unique problem for the student to solve. It also forces the student to ponder on real world problems as the world is filled with problems with subjects interlinked with each other. It also helps the student to think and solve puzzles in a creative and outside the box method. It also aids us into developing learner profile skills such as Knowledgeable etc.

As a label we have made efforts to properly engage in marketing bureaucracy and online visibility tactics that are required if you wish to engage certain audiences with your brand  (especially younger internet-integrated generations). However, for creative satisfaction, and as experimental speculation with these micro-capitalist tendencies, as a transmitter of audio/visual media, we confront the orthodox of music marketing and media consumption by subverting these conventions in through poster design and music branding. We have continuously worked very closely with Gabriel Thomas, a visual graphics designer and 3D animator who has been instrumental in developing the accompanying visual language to our sound work. With 3D clay simulation software, we have designed typography and graphics that presents our collective warped vision of futurism and accelerated rave culture. We take inspiration from the radical science fictional and virtual visual styles of techno EDM music that has evolved through the 20th and 21st centuries. Below are some scans from a book titled Techno Style: The Album Cover Art, put together by Martin Pesch in 2003:

^The above typographical experiments quite literally embody a visual comment market capitalist consumerist branding, by integrating the words ‘YOU MUST CONSUME’ backwards within the name ‘SLUMP SOUNDS’.  To this end, we started plans for a website (shown below), and with Gabriel’s experience in web design assistance, have put together a conceptual mock-up that successfully incorporates the virtual potential of digital software and immersive screen art with DIY cyber-punk imagery. The visual concept is to can be accessed here: https://elated-shirley-a5af24.netlify.com/
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
These are collaborative efforts that involve a dialogue with Gabriel and direction from me and Al on the visual concepts behind the website, and though i consider this project a successful ongoing collaboration that will form a major part of my sonic practice, and that of the future of Slump Sounds, I am personally relatively unexperienced with design software and coding. Therefore I wanted to explore an alternative avenue of creativity, with the intention of a decidedly lower-fidelity visual language as a possibility for my final graduation exhibition in April. I have been drawn towards physical and more laborious methodologies of visual and sonic art, such as collage, printing, zine-making and sound production using analog hardware, without the need of a laptop. This sensibility can be seen in the virtualisation of non-virtual things such as graffiti or a marsh.
The search for meaningful and creatively satisfying sound work has led me to the world of analog art and audio programming with physical machines and tactile buttons and nobs. Admittedly, I’ve been very slow to embrace the potential of analog gear for a long time. I believe this has something to do with a sense of not believing myself to be as scientifically inclined as I felt was needed, or feeling the need to learn more about the engineering and mathematics of synthesis or sequencing. In hindsight, this is an unproductive outlook, especially considering the lineage of radical electronic artworks that were born from mistakes or glitches in systems of sound creation and reproduction that characterises a cyberpunk reading of experimental music. This desire intensified through a process of familiarising myself with pre-digital sound gear; what began as the need to hear cassettes and not owning a cassette deck, which forced me to choose one, locate it, buy it, and figure out how to get it to play what I wanted to hear, which then turned into vinyl and a mixer, and then cheap and simple drum machines. It still remains a part of my practice that I believe requires much more actual play and practice time... Still I contemplate the elusive nature of analog signal processing as when I first played a Casio electric keyboard at a young age. It is important to point out, however, that this does not thus lend me a masterful understanding of digital media processing either, only an ability to abuse to it to my own indulgent ends. Any effort to demystify this practice is a step in a right direction. Since my introduction to the keyboard, I can say for certain that my interest in electronic sound production and the history over human-machine interaction that defines parts contemporary society and techno-futurism has become a creative obsession. To live and work with meaningful creative disposition within the modernity of media noise and cultural saturation, and having been introduced to the infinite-possibility blank canvases of digital audio work stations at an early age, where my lateral creative mind quickly fostered an addiction to the stress of sonic novelty, erratic compositions that quickly deconstructed or changed an idea or process without allowing time for deep listening or trance-inducing sonic immersion, it has become impertinent for me to seek more visceral, authentic and tactile methodologies. Efforts to correct this habit of laptop art-making are a defining feature of my current personal interests, and my efforts to engage in a more authentically rooted and personal relationship to my sonic practice, extending beyond music and sound production into physical and visual art practices that steer clear from the transience of digital media online allow me to distance myself when I want to from digital work. My peers and I working within Slump Sounds are slowly making progress with collaborative analogue hardware production systems and studio building. Money and time are major factors in this process, though, as Simon Reynolds explains in his lecture on DIY, in some ways the romanticism of investing resources into more meaningful outcomes more appropriately reflects ‘a convergence of energies and passions‘. On the rare occasion I can return to Leeds during term time for longer than a day, I take the oppurtunity to connect with the label crew to work on the upcoming releases and discuss label business. Al owns a Roland SP808, an Arturia Microbrute and some decent speakers. I brought along my Korg Volca Beats, a reverb pedal and a folder of samples and noises from my own work and sampled from floppy disks and youtube videos. The attached Soundcloud file at the beginning of this post contains the resulting noises we made over about an hour of twiddling and listening. To me the sounds are an evocation of our collective interelations with Grime, Electro and DIY electronics.  At the time we discussed as much as we could about the potential of performing with such a setup, and how possible it would be to get a project like that underway, with a focus on the ‘total package’ concept of physical releases, sleeve inserts, flyer promotion etc. that was conceptually a step back from the hyper aesthetics and digital marketting of Slump Sounds. We shared our fascinations with symbolism and aesthetic reflections of experimental arts cultures and avant-garde modes of living, carried through subversive strategies of music branding with the politics of contemporary DIY culture and cyberpunk. In an age characterised by rampant commercialism and media saturation, to what end can alternative practices provide meaning or transcendence from societal norms? Our decision was to begin developing a more DIY post-punk inspired subgroup uber the banner of Slump Sounds, where we could experiment with tactile art-making and more ambitiously conceptual projects not necessarily intended for club systems or commercial profit - enter, LosBundazGanks.
During this session, I talked with Al about my visual investigations into truth, hyperreality and simulation for my Major Research Project, and we decided to begin working on and combining the sounds we were producing with the visuals I have been collecting and researching. Of the 300 hundred or so images that we curated, all of them relate in some form to the idea of simulation and reproduction. The examples below consist of digital cuttings from an online version of the Official Gazette of the United States Patent and Trademark Office: Trademarks, which were selected on the conditions of their visual or conceptual affiliation with the idea of simulation, truth or audio/visual fiction. My intrigue in the catalogue, which gives a written description of each logo, was in the symbiotic relationship between the written definitions and meanings of the symbols, which in turn represented aspects of market capitalism and commodification. These first drafts were then processed through effects on an old version of Microsoft Word. The ‘edges’ function can, with experimentation, produce a digitally rendered appearance of stamping or screenprinting, much like the DIY Zine making methods of hardcore music and art communities:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
After this, we highlights the inherent entanglements of audsio/visual simulation and truth by juxtaposing these images with other found visual materials. The intention was to build moodboard for reference in the future when we will have the time and resources to develop the idea of a Los Bundaz Ganks physical release or performance.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This process has completely shaped my outlook for future projects, and I have decided to introduce a significant portion of this research into the ideas for the graduate exhibition in April. For an effective audio installation or performance, I consider it important to side-step the context of a gallery situation, which too often in my experience has provided little to no communication in some form other than the actual pieces/sculptures/sounds of the conceptual analogies or research methods that brought the artist to design/build/draw attention to in the first place.

AJ’S ARCADE | TIME CRISIS 5
Tumblr media
Game: Time Crisis (Released 2015)
On the 4th of January 2019, I was blessed with the opportunity to play Time Crisis 5 - which as of the time of writing this, remains trapped in the arcade. Mid-way through 2018, I found out that they had ported past Time Crisis games, which sparked a light gun phase thus I’ve been scooping up every one I can for the Nintendo Wii, PlayStation 2 and the PlayStation 3; hence the vested interest & high hopes for TC5. Having played all the past main line TC games, how does the latest 2015 romp hold up? Eh.
Before we go any further though, I thought I’d should let you, the precious reader, know that I only played through the first three stages. While I had access to the True Mastermind edition, with the extra three stages I only managed to have enough time to play through those first three stages twice - once to enjoy the spectacle, and once to try master them. However, I will make reference to the latter three stages, as I have watched a few playthroughs on YouTube, so I could experience the story, without the pressure of the gameplay.
Now, let us dissect this bitch.
The Good
Story - It has one...?
To say past games haven’t had much of a narrative would absolutely be true. Usually, the formula consists for two bros., two handguns vs a whole terrorist organisation, and taking them down before they unleash a super weapon of some sorts. Throw in a few interesting boss fights, some varied locales a not-so-surprising showdown with Wild-Dog...boom-bada bing, you have a Time Crisis narrative.
Past entries of the series have literally been too short (in terms of game time) to tell anything of worth, in the story department. Time Crisis 5, being twice as long as any previous entry, actually has enough breathing room to tell a story...for an arcade game. Mind you not anything complex, but it’s leagues better than any other light gun shooter, that dare put in possess cutscenes, inter-midst gameplay, and call it a plot. The plot actually goes somewhere - literally, and figuratively. From stages 4-6 onwards, Time Crisis 5 deviates from its usual action movie plot and manages to actually possess a few decent twists & turns, which all culminates in a satisfying finale. I wouldn’t say it’s emotional but it does evoke an emotion...and this is an hour long arcade game; that’s pretty outstanding. The series for the first time in history, makes reference to the fact it does indeed have a history; however I won’t delve into it as it would involve major spoilers - I’ll just say that it’s pretty neat.
Sights - Gwaphics
To say Time Crisis 5 is gorgeous would be an understatement. The game bleeds beauty in the presentation department. Not only does the game look like a modern, vivid, and colorful spectacle for each and every frame but even small things like the UI and HUD looks uber crisp. I especially like the simple ‘end of area’ screen in which the game primarily utilises the color of the whatever character you’re playing.  While I still believe Time Crisis 1-3 still look decent regarding their age, acting as sort of landmarks of the series graphical progression, I believe TC5 straight makes TC4’s early-HD-looking ass a lot less appealing; making that game appear to age not so gracefully. While I do praise the visuals highly, it’s not 100% great all the time. Bandai Namco, have indeed utilised Unreal Engine, instead of whatever in-house concoction they usually come up with. While I’m not entirely sure if it’s 4, or a heavily modified version of 3, either way the team behind it all have left in a few jaggies here and there. Nothing too bad mind you, it just means the game looks great most of the time, instead of all the time.
Sounds - VO, Sound Design, Music?
There’s not much to say here. It’s an arcade on-rail shooter - of course the sound design is amazing. Each bullet iss followed a meaty sound effect, which of course  is poorly balanced with the rest of the audio, so everything is drowned out by gunshots . I was in a noisy arcade so I didn’t get to appreciate other environmental sounds and the music, as much as I would have like.. Watching it back, there’s nothing special about TC5’s soundtrack but it still remains fitting and energising. The main theme is a pretty nice EDM interpretation of the series main theme but that’s it really. Personally, while the series has had a great soundtracks, in the past, I would call any of the OSTs after TC 1 & 2 too memorable at all. As I said, it’s fitting and that’s all it needs to be.
Voiceovers, voiceovers, voiceovers. By god, they’re voiceovers, alright. The game features dual audio but I only experienced the English VO - mind you, I have seen a playthrough with the Japanese ones. Both languages provide the equal parts cheese and cringe, both giving the ‘so-bad-it’s-good’ vibe. This is House of the Dead 2 levels of bad but it’s up to par with rest of the series so you’ve got nothing to worry about. I will say that the English VO tends to have more awkward moments more frequently but they both get the job done and they both provide a different experience. What more could you want?
Gameplay - It’s Time Crisis Alright.
Gameplay, at it’s core, is the same formula seen in TC3 & 4. It’s your usual shooting gallery with a cover mechanic. If you get to greedy an enemy’ll throw out a special red bullet that will take off one of your lives; the game will let you know this happening with a bright red ‘crisis flash’. The game also has you on a time meaning you can’t take your sweet time from behind cover - however, Time Crisis hasn’t felt like an actual crisis of time since the first game so you might as well take your sweet time behind cover. Introduced in TC3, is weapon switching; weapon switching functions a little differently in this game, so I’ll delve into that later into this piece. All you need to know is you have access to 4 guns: a handgun, machine gun, shotgun and a grenade launcher (all of which fire just as you’d expect). All of these little things add up to create some great set pieces and intense gunfights. TC5, as the series second HD outing, introduces that enhanced presentation and a small but meaningful load of mechanics. I won’t go in-depth about some of the new additions as they make brief appearances and are mostly featured in the latter three stages. Let’s just say as no point does TC5 feel ‘same-y’ or ‘stale’
The Bad
The Gameplay - Ok, let me elaborate.
Right, I just said that the gameplay’s good, right? Why is it now in the bad-section? Well, it’s a mixed bag. While, TC5 still retains what made the past games fun, this iteration features some drawbacks...and some they’re pretty game defining. For every step forward TC5 takes, it takes two steps back. These little niggles start to quickly add up and begin to degrade the quality of the experience. This game could be the best in the series, but with the flaws I’ll mention below in mind, it ends up feeling like an incredibly mediocre outing when it should in fact be the biggest and baddest TC yet.
Frame Rate - Cinematic But Not Practical
The game is capped at 30fps and it sure doesn’t feel like it was built around that frame rate. Need I say more? While this doesn’t impact gameplay for the most part, it can become an irritation. The game isn’t a rock-solid 30fps and that’s where I begin to have issues with the frame rate. It’s nothing horrible (just brief dips to 25fps, it felt like), but it could mean the difference between you losing a life or not, which could mean the difference between spending another dollar or not.  The game functions at 30fps but it doesn’t thrive at it; an obvious boost to 60 would indeed rectify, or at least help mask a lot of the issues I have. The main one, that directly tied to frame rate, is the ducking behind cover; vital for both shielding yourself and reloading. Numerous times during my play session I was blindsided by bullets I was meant to dodge...half of these yes, I’ll admit were my fault but other the other half, not so much. I would often left go of the pedal, with in an appropriate reaction window, but the animation of ducking behind cover wouldn’t play out in time. Sure, I could adapt to the new rhythm (like most 30fps games force you to) but I shouldn’t have to - every past entry has ran at 60 and the ducking mechanic has function fine. It shouldn’t be problem now. If I had to take a guess, the creators have prioritised graphical fidelity, with the frame-rate being an afterthought.
Weapon Switching - Don’t Fix What Ain’t Broke
OK - so this might not be a major problem but it was with my experience of the game. The new guns feature a little button on the side for weapon switching, similar to a GunCon2 which is pretty cool. This replaces pulling the trigger behind cover to switch weapons. However, this means you’re force to take a two handed grip - not necessarily a bad thing but does remove an option. My concern was more the button wasn’t very responsive. I could quickly snap between handgun to machine gun but trying to switch to the other two guns was hassle for some reason. The button almost pushes through to the other side and gets stuck - this might’ve just been an issue with the gun I was using though, but it did result in some imprecise weapon switching. All I’m saying is that the way, weapon switching has worked in the past was fine, and I believe the button on the side of the gun could’ve been used for something else.
Dual Pedals - It’s weird
New to the Time Crisis 5 is that aforementioned dual cover system. It...works - kinda, not really, sorta. On paper, it sounds like an excellent idea but in execution, it’s a little clunky and clunky play gets you killed. So you use the two pedals to switch between cover right? Yes, that part’s fine. Personally the animation getting between cover is a little long, but not too bad. It’s more say I’m poking out of the left cover. If I want to the be poking out of the right one, I would need to tap the right pedal which would put me behind the right cover - to then poke out of it, I would need to double tap the pedal and then hold it down. While I wouldn’t complain about the extra foot work, it just doesn’t feel kinaesthetically sound. It’s not entirely bad though. Tt’s just more that the 30fps caps lead to some imprecise cover shifting, which results more often than not for you to be smacked by a bullet you saw coming. If the game did have to be tied to that 30fps though, I feel a viable way to fix this would be to just use the pedals to switch between covers and use the button on the side for peeking out of cover, tying the two actions to two seperate inputs for more precise play. I guess if the button on the side is being used, might as well revert back to old weapon switching method.
The Handgun - What have you done to my baby?!?
The handgun got nerfed and I am sad. Past titles didn’t have a cap on how fast you could fire the handgun - it would fire as fast as you could finger blast. Rhyme and innuendo intentional. Hell, TC1 & 2 are entirely built around just having the handgun and how fast you can fire it. The fire rate on the handgun, in TC5, isn’t abysmal but it makes the little thing less satisfying to use, as well as less viable when stacked up against the machine gun. Yet again, people were easily doing handgun only runs of TC3 & 4 just because of how easy it was to use the handgun. It’s a bit of double edge sword so I can see why such a change happened, so as to make the hand gun feel like an obvious downgrade. I’m just not sure the way they did it in TC5, was the way to do it.
The FABULOUS
Character Designs - Oh yeah, baby
Say what you will but I like the path the series has taken since TC3, becoming increasingly more ‘mong’ as the series goes on - TC5 is the ‘mongiest’ entry thus far. The game also introduces some much need color into the overall presentation, which not only reflects well on flamboyant tone overhaul but also just makes the game more visually appealing to the eye. Oh and all the characters look visually distinct from one enough, not just the dual twink protagonists this time round. Essentially, everyone who’s not a target has been given the attention that a MC would be given.
The EVEN FABULOUS-ER?!?
Wild Dog & Wild Fang
‘Nuff said.
And that’s Time Crisis 5 - it makes some weird design choices that affect the flow of combat and your reaction time but ultimately it retains a lot of what the series has been praised before. While I wouldn’t say it’s as tight a gameplay experience as, say TC2 & 3 (even for 4 that matter - hey it runs at 60fps), it’s certainly a good enough title to add to the lineage. The new mechanics in the game also do a decent job of setting itself apart from past entries. I also feel lot of the issues I mentioned would actually be easily rectified with a higher frame rate. Maybe a console release could fix this, hey Bandai Namco? *wink wink* If you see TC5 out in wild, give it a few quarters and minutes of your time - it’s not the most polished experience but it sure is one hell of a ride.

Auto-Tune EFX 3 Crack is a versatile new vocal production tool. This is a unique influence that provides a complex musical mode for vocal efficiency. The mode is selected from the built-in library and can be synchronized to the speed of the host in different speed formats. At each level of the professional vocal monitor, click the Auto Move Settings button to send your vocals on a melody tour.
Auto-Tune EFX 3 Crack is a handy plugin for improving the real-time human voice. In addition, this 64-bit app allows for many other tools and produces very accurate vocal recordings. In addition, new modes can be designed to increase the number of features. Moreover, newest member of the Auto-Tune group is the combination of classic tonal enhancement algorithms with other results. Whether you like them or hate them. It’s hard to ignore over-processed sounds that drive current R&B and hip-hop music.
Auto-Tune’s EFX ilok Crack is very easy to use that does most of the work for you. It can be said that the implementation of pitch correction is actually a major improvement. But with it, it often uses singers who don’t need Melodyne. Sometimes it even performs fast Melodyne editing on the vocal track, allowing Antares to take over drift and attack settings.
They are actually paired very well, and now the pitch correction algorithm has been improving. It is like a very fine polishing tool. One thing they want to add to the automatic sport mode is the ability to coordinate modes, giving you a rhythmic “background harmony” track. So, EDM music will take advantage of this feature. But now it’s easy to scale a single note in Auto-Motion and put it back into AutoTune or Melodyne and create harmony from there.

Auto-Tune EFX 3 Crack 2020 Free Download
The world’s best era standard master transform. The fastest, easy to use, wonderful pitch equipment, called the recording magazine. “The Holy Grail of the Sounder”, and is named the world’s best-selling sound module. Therefore, Auto-Tune EFX 3 Keygen solves the problem of tone in speech or solo instruments, continuous, no defects and trinkets. Retaining all the nuances and linguistic expressions of the main performance – with sensational quality. So the main complexity between the main powerhouse and the main character Preparing one is the right feeling. In addition, it includes the interface, which is an example of convenience, speed, and processing.
Antares reported on the Auto-Tune EFX 3, a programmatic effective rectifying plug. With ultra-low inertia for live performance and tracking, with high brightness. Such as the era of automatic motion design. Auto-Tune EFX License key uses a central innovation similar to Auto-Tune 9. But also includes new factors such as Retune Speed and Humanize (correcting short messages while protecting multiple long notes) controls to progressively achieve common utility story recovery. Motion Vocal Pattern Generation adds a variety of melody effects to vocal performances. It comes with a library with examples and effectively records customer examples. The example can be synchronized with the main tempo with different beat divisions.
Furthermore, the Humanizes operation ensures that short notes are successfully corrected. While persistent notes protect their delicate pitch changes. They are probably the purest, realistic pitch correction. Moreover, Auto-Tune Vocal Impact is often referred to in technology as “tone quantization.” As an alternative to the very small changes in pitch and the gradual transition between notes as part of the traditional singing. Auto-Tune Vocal limits any perception to the precise pitch, eliminating any changes and forcing an immediate transition between notes.
What’s new Auto-Tune EFX 3 Crack?
These have produced quite impressive (very natural) flowers and patterns that you have undoubtedly heard in recent popular songs and club classics.
However, one thing that Auto-Tune EFX Plus Crack has never been good at is creating natural sounds – and that’s exactly what the third edition wants to solve.
So, the second new control, Humanize, provides similar in-depth improvements to EFX’s configurable settings.
Hence, six or seven years ago, because of T-Pain (the name became synonymous with its effects). Auto-Tune found new credibility and could be heard again from anywhere, from stairs to hip-hop and pop music. This is still possible, but fortunately, it seems to have played a less open role recently.

The idea of seeing music
(Artist & Designer mini brief Digging Deeper)
For my designer brief I am making work related to music (Purity is a name synonymous with music). With mind mapping I made word association with pulse, beat, sound wave and audio waveform. That is where my research on sound began. I have a tiny bit of knowledge on audio forms from my secondary school (using Adobe Audition), but I pretty much can’t remember any of it (except how to remove white noise from a video).
What is sound
Sound is not a thing in itself but a property of the medium through which it is travelling. It is produced when something vibrates - cause of medium around it to vibrate.
Tumblr media
Jerobeam Fenderson - Oscilloscope Music
When I was looking at different waveforms I came across oscilloscope music.  An oscilloscope uses a two-axis graph to give a visual representation of a waveform over time, with the horizontal axis representing time and the vertical axis representing the amplitude. In music production, oscilloscopes are commonly used to assist dynamics processing and sound synthesis.
Jerobeam Fenderson creates audiovisual music where the images are created by soundwaves on an analog oscilloscope. With a background in electronics and audio engineering, Jerobeam began experimenting with technical approaches to composition around 2012, and has since developed his own form of expression with Oscilloscope Music. The first track of its kind was “Nuclear Black Noise”, a composition consisting entirely of sine waves, and it was followed by ever-evolving audio-visual live shows, and an album in 2016.
The idea of “seeing music” is hard to grasp, but Jerobeam makes what sounds impossible, very real. He forms 2D and 3D objects with minimalistic green lines from abstract lissajous shapes that mutate into complex vector graphics, using the left and right audio channels as X and Y coordinates.
Oscilloscope Music turns the transformation of abstract concepts into something tangible that works on an emotional level outside of its technical context. Using this approach, math doesn’t seem like the dry concept it is often seen as, but rather a key to the fundamental principles of nature.
Here is a link to a song from his album Oscilloscope Music: https://bit.ly/2FsVveA
Reasearching further I found a software (Oscilloscope) made for looking at music (by playing any mp3 file) based on osilloscope’s coordinates X and Y. In the software you have options to change volume, time stretch, scale, stroke weight, hue, intensity and after glow. Here are a few screenshots of when I used it:

I also found out there is a program called OsciStudio that converts 3d shapes and animations to sounds (through obj files or blender addons). And my plan was to try and make my own Osci Music with a simple 3d shape I would make in Blender, but I figured out you can’t export video files in the software yet, so I’ll just wait for an upgrade.
In retrospect I find his work extremely visually pleasing. It is what I believe how people with synesthesia must feel like. The combination of sound and the simple green lines take you on a serious trip to wherever Oscillioscope music comes from. I don’t care if not everyone agrees with me, but what Jerobeam is creating is truly a piece of magic. The animation feels like it’s taking you through a portal to another dimension, compelling to look at and impossible to look away.
It seems a bit weird how music has progressed. I’m sure some people would say “everything is music to kids these days”. But if you look at it from a different perspective, music has evolved into something so much more than just lyrics, melody or beats. It’s the new era of music and I’m loving it. Experimentation with sound is the only way to create something we haven’t heard before.
And then there’s Jerobeam who goes a leap further from other electronic music artists and makes us see what we hear. How crazy of a concept would that have been ages ago? I’m waiting for him to make me smell music next.

RELATED ARTICLES/ARTWORKS
-  Project Entercourse Of The New Age
Named after one of David Chastel’s and Yann’s favourite tracks by Glenn Crocker released in 1996, Entercourse Of The New Age (EOTNA) pays tribute to the genre of electronic music. In 2016 they had the opportuninty to have an exhibition space in the centre of Paris. They invited contemporary artists to design the iconography of old records that have moved the history of electronic music but didn’t benefit from any artwork since their release. EOTNA held its first exhibition in January 2017 and, to date, has worked with a total of 26 artists to reimagine beloved tracks with contemporary visuals. The idea of the project was not to position themselves within a specific artistic scene, but to show, on the contrary, very different techniques and styles.
- Daniel Avery: Visible Gravity
A 48 minute ambient track available for free download at XLR8R. “An ode to those early and quiet moments in a night where the strobe light is still only a hopeful glimmer beyond the horizon, a sign of the euphoria to follow.”
AN electronic track combined with an animation to go alongside Visible Gravity, directed by Matt&Dan. They imported the mix into Ableton and used an Oscilloscope to view the waveforms. They then added various plug-ins which let them manipulate the frequencies which gave them a live visual representation in a totally new way to how they have created previous artworks.
-  Dave Gaskarth: Quadripoints
Both from Birmingham but now based in London, Dave Gaskarth and Lee Gamble are long-term collaborators, with Dave working on most of Lee’s live visuals and videos since 2012.
Much of this work takes the shape of computer-generated 3D environments that use satellite imaging and other mapping date to create colour and texture. For 2017 track Quadripoints, for example, Dave developed a mountainous realm inhabited by spheres covered with satellite imagery pulled from different nation states. The aggressive balls jostle for top position, almost becoming an anthropomorphic being. For ongoing project Foldings, the duo has taken the idea and created site-specific segments influenced by the location of each gig. Whereas Lee sources field recordings of the specific city or records audio on arrival to weave around his tracks, Dave scrapes data, satellite photography and other mapping materials to form audio-reactive visuals which play over three screens.
-  Michael Satter
Since 2009 the designer has created artworks for labels Live At Robert Johnson, Hivern Discs, Die Orakel and Rivotan Records. He makes  simplistic designs that incorporate print, photography and illustration. On the surface their design appears simple, but the exemplary layouts are far from simple to create.
He has a long-time passion for electronic music, his cover artworks reflect the identity of the artist, and reference to the tracks on the record.
HOW THE ARTWORK RELATES TO HISTORY
Oscilloscope, previously called an oscillograph is an electronic instrument made for maintenance of electronic equipment and laboratory work. General Radio was the first to manufacture an oscilloscope that was usable outside a laboratory setting. After WW2 Heathkit Corporation released first oscilloscope kit made from electronic parts.
The first electronic devices for performing music were developed at the end of the 19th century, and shortly afterward Italian futurists explored sounds that had not been considered musical. By the 1940s, magnetic audio tape allowed musicians to tape sounds and then modify them by changing the tape speed or direction, leading to the development of electroacoustic tape music in the 1940s, in Egypt and France. In the 1970s, electronic music began having a significant influence on popular music, with the adoption of polyphonic synthesizers, electronic drums, drum machines, and turntables, through the genres such as disco, krautrock, new wave, synth-pop, hip hop and EDM.
Experimental music became prominent in the mid-20th century, particularly in Europe and North America. It is an improvised music without any rules, usually musicians make an effort to avoid cliches (recognizable genres).

SUMMARY
As I continue to work on my designer brief I will think about ways to manipulate waveforms and find my inspiration in artists that I have researched.
Looking at artists that have taken the term ‘art’ and made it be literally anything is something that I look forward to exploring more. What’s so interesting about experimental art is how artists use different techniques and ideas that no one has seen before. What comes to mind is the movie The Matrix that did just that; exposed mainstream audience.
To me it’s really easy to make design that is common, but a huge struggle to do the opposite (probably because that’s all I’ve been doing so far). How to not stay in the norm and just do what I know how to do is something I need to work on.
