Sometimes I wonder what non-Americans think about groundhogs day. The most American holiday we have

Harry and Hermione are stuck in a week-long time loop. After a number of failures trying to break the loop, they start arranging vacation loops where they goof off without trying to break the loop. One of those loops, Hermione decides that she wants to try acting out her perfect wedding. Only time doesn't reset after they get married.

My critique of Groundhogs Day the movie
A short thesis:
A little known fact about this movie:
It was NOT filmed in Punxsutawney Pennsylvania where the original ground hogs day celebration takes place. Instead it was filmed in a little Illinois town near Chicago
The reason behind this was because Punxsutawney was very far away from the directors home and was a ROUGH town. In fact too rough for Hollywood. Because Hollywood choose to glamorize rural America it lost a lot of true charm
First critique:
They missed the opportunity to show off this cool ass sign
As you can see in the bottom right hand corner there is a “buggy shop” sign, that’s becuase Punxy has a large quantity of Amish people which leads to the second critique
The movie lacks the true Rural Roots of Punxy:
They missed a great opportunity to show Bill Murray getting stuck behind an Amish horse drawn buggy
If Bill Murray’s character thought Woodstock IL was a hick town, he’d have a rude awakening behind an Amish buggy in the opioid addicted Burrough of Punxy
3rd and final critique:
They completely miss represented the absolute grit of the ground hogs day ceremony:
Gobblers knob (where the ceremony actually takes place) isn’t a town square, it’s a giant field where people get shuttled in from town and stand in the cold to get drunk while waiting for a rodent at 4 am. Little to say it’s pretty Fuckin Metal
Thank you for coming to my Ted talk:

I just think it’s v cute that we as americans have a silly little national holiday (on every calendar, on the news, thousands of ppl go to Punxsutawney for it) where we let a rodent named phil play weather man for the day. anyways it’s six more weeks of winter

I seriously can't believe this. This an outrage. Theres no option to buy a traditional groundhog's day pie. The war on groundhogs day has been won. What has the world come to.

Around this time of year, Rudie tends to get a bit techy… click the link to find out why…
http://www.bunzandkatz.com/2023/02/02/the-groundhawg-caper
Back when I first came up with Rudie, I scribbled out about 10 page roughs – over time I've used about six of those, this Groundhawg bit being one of them…
