Okay. I did my shopping at the place that has the one sale like once a year and also because I pinch pennies about this signed up to the rewards/loyalty system. I have gotten 10 emails or something now because I get a fucking email every time I 'earn points' by doing something like clicking on a thing. I mean, good to know, but also, g-d-fucking-damn it's so fucking annoying ARGH

Plus clicking on all those things didn't let me use my money off reward in conjunction with the discount sale code so what was even the point. Ugh.

#i am annoyed because I did the clever (imo) thing and bought 2 of the thing in case idk it sells out before the next entire year #in case it tears or something; it's so annoying when you get a good clothing item but then when you need another one it's discontinued #or something #but #that means more money #so now i have less money left for the other basic underwear i need to buy from the other place #g-d i hate this.#i was also hoping to have some money left over to buy like a slightly less basic set of things to feel nice about myself #now that my body is all different #but alas #i don't even feel like i'm being frivolous my money is literally going to a) replacing knickers i sized out of #b) basic knickers for work #c) perhaps an item from my wishlist that has been there for years #and only very hopefully d) a set of Some Nice Things #but after spending money on (a) i am already like. fuck. i don't wanna spend more money on other things.#like - should i even?#but even in (b) there's one item that is a replacement because i fucking ordered it in the correct size last time but the owner was like #'i saw your order and i think a size down might be good? seeing as you previously ordered xyz' and i was like 'okay you're the owner #happy to go with your rec'#and it was wrong and i was right originally but exchanging it would be like. about the same price to post the damn thing back as buying it #again since they gave me a code for half off but really i kinda wish they could just give me a new one free since ughhh #i am distinctly getting the feeling that if i buy this basic set of things i will already be upset about having spent this much money #and that it will have already been more than i wanted to spend #and then not get anything else #argh #scream. cry.#personal

I’m going to assume you have already explored the other fics bu the authors in the first rec post I made- everything by @redfacesmiley, @books-and-omens , @racketghost , and Drawlight/ripeteeth is a stunner. Also dig through equestrianstatue and @darcylindbergh for real gems.

When I’m reading I find a fic I like, dig through all the author’s other fics, then look at the author’s bookmarks because I figure if they wrote something I like that much, they saved things I’ll like too.

One-sentence summary: Blood-maddened vampire assassin Conrad is taken to an old mansion to detox, only to realize that the beautiful dancer he sees (and can speak to) is not a hallucination, but a ghost.

Why read it: I mean, aside from that insane summary, this is a great entry point to Immortals After Dark, and has a hero who is, by IAD standards, baby? I mean, he can and will kill anyone who touches his woman and, again, is clinically insane, but Conrad is allso so wounded and so sweet at his core, and also, much to his eternal embarrassment, a vIRGIN (something his brother loudly points out in front of his ghost girlfriend). And Neomi, our heroine, makes it even better. She's funny, she's angry, she's flirty, and Conrad's brokenness calls to her own in a way that's just gorgeous.

Lives in my brain rent-free: Conrad is in the shower, really determined to ignore the Sexy Ghost Lady because SURELY she's in his head, right? And Neomi, rather determined to get him to break and a former burlesque performer, begins doing an elaborate striptease with lines like "Does Conrad want to see my panties?" (He does. As previously mentioned, Conrad is a 300-year old-virgin.) GOLD. QUEEN SHIT.

Hi anon!

It’s not rude, because I know you aren’t asking in a demanding sort of way, so I hope you don’t think my answer is rude. It might sound a bit blunt.

I don’t have one. As a rule I am never going to have a posting schedule again. I’ve done a lot of thinking about my writing recently and what I hope to get out of it, and I realized that I was letting a lot of real life/societal pressure leak into my hobby.

Part of that is the way that fandoms seem to be leaning (looking for algorithms on ao3, expecting posting schedules, authors treating fanfic like they have this expectation for every single fic to be a star that everyone reads- including myself- or like it’s going to be the way they become “real” authors ) and part of that is me not checking myself and letting this hobby I love become another way I can harm myself by letting myself feel like I’m failing if I don’t post on time (Perfectionism!!)

It all just felt really capitalistic? I write because it makes me happy and because so much of my life doesn’t make me happy and this is one of the only things that’s really just mine that doesn’t feel stressful. If I start putting pressure on myself to adhere to posting schedules, try to meet deadlines, write at a certain pace to please other people and gain more notoriety….

Well that kind of just sounds like a job doesnt it?

Friend, I was about to star Lighter and Princess till I saw the main lead went to jail and sadness arrive to the story that I was like "I'm gonna wait and see how this end".

Honestly I can't take to much sadness on stories, specially if they are long series but I'm more likely to watch it if I know the ending.

I actually want to ask for some recommendations, so a little background of the latest series/dramas I have enjoy it are: "Go Go Squid" (here I skipped the main lead team/friends flashback story), "To Fly With You", "Cherry Magic!", "Bad Buddy" and "I Told Sunset About You" and here are some series I have on my to watch list: "To My Star", "Silent", "Koisenu Futari", "My liberation Notes" and "She Make My Heart Flutter". Hello there! Ohhhhhh Frienddddddddd..... Thank you for thinking of me trulyyyy but i am NOT the person to ask for recs. I am not blessed by the dramagods to be giving out drama recs like others. I believe in no reward without risk when dealing with dramas.

For a little assistance.....All the dramas you said that you have seen have recommendations similar too them, on MDL. You can look and see if you might like the other dramas as well. Most of the ones I saw are goooddttt choices and have happy endings without too much sadness.The dramas on your to-watch list are all great choices and say you should watch them. Silent is still ongoing and sad in regards to storyline so you should wait for that to end. The rest tho have a happy ending (I didnt see MLN of SMMHF so I can't say but i think they do). Based on the dramas you listed, they are most on the more popularish end by drama watchers (no shade they are worth it lolol). You can easily go thru the top list searches and go from there.

If you want to know something specific about a drama you’re thinking of watching I can maybe help (If i have seen it of course). Hope you have a nice rest of the year! 💖💖💖
