Okokok so I'm gonna make a positive rant for a minute so bear with me...
Baby Smurf is THE CUTEST baby I've ever seen in cartoon media ever. 💙💙💙
I don't normally like children, but he's so frickin adorable and I genuinely wanna raise him as my own. And I'm sure Johan would be more than happy to raise Baby Smurf with me (´꒳`)♡ We would be perfect parents!! 🩷
And the way that Smurfette cares for Baby Smurf is so sweet, she's like a mother to him and it's so wholesome!! 💖 I hc Smurfette gives Baby Smurf to Johan and I every night since we both love him so much <3 We're not quite ready to have a child of our own, so we practice taking care of Baby Smurf! ^3^
But I think the thing that really pulls at my heartstrings the most is how much of a softie Grouchy Smurf is towards Baby Smurf,,, 🥺🩵 The fact that he hates everything and everyone except Baby Smurf really goes to show how he genuinely feels about babies 💕 Like Grouchy took Baby with him to a literal forest bc he didn't want Feathers to take him back, how adorable and sweet is that?? 🥺😢😭💕💖🩷
In short, Baby Smurf deserves all the love in the world and is the most precious baby bean ever 💕💕💕

it was only a matter of time before tiernan was able to successfully stake his claim over the halfling. such a fact weighed heavy on arnon’s mind with each day that passed whilst stuck in this place. trying to keep track of the hours that passed was nothing short of impossible; each one blurred into the next. the only indicator that time was passing came through the dawn of the day and the falling of dusk. everything between that was a gaping chasm of endless misery, to put it lightly. even with tiernan’s explanation of being permanently rented until the claim could be made officially, arnon was grateful for the occasional reprieve of the councilman’s constant company as he was escorted down to the undercroft. the pit of despair wasn’t a great replacement; he’d much rather step foot inside his home again if only to be greeted with the sight of truly familiar surroundings again for the briefest of moments. it’d bring him more comfort than was imaginable, but such a hope was pointless, so it wasn’t worth dwelling on. shrugging off the bitterness that such a thought process always carried with it, arnon raked a hand through his hair and wandered to the first common room as if he owned the place, picking a book at random from the shelves and frisbeeing it onto the nearest table. if he was going to be stuck down here, he might as well distract himself somehow. pulling out the chair to slump into it with an exasperated huff, arnon flicked through the pages without really taking anything in, far too distracted by the sense of a presence lingering in the doorway behind him. “if you want something, speak up,” he grumbled, not bothering to look at whoever decided it was socially acceptable to hover. “if not, keep it moving.”

What would Booker look like as an Ursaring? Would the extra growth affect that evolution at all? I imagine him being absolutely massive compaired to others if the same species
In theory, he would be far larger than average yes, the eye would not recover or heal, the scarring may lessen a bit, he may learn some unusual moves due to his training.

i got some new headcanons:
Great Smurf is from another village, which was destroyed. And it may seem like unecessary angst, but actually it's just what makes sense with the pieces of lore (comics verse) we have
This makes Great Smurf not only the leader of the village, but also his founder
Baby Smurf is a girl. The only real difference between boys and girls in the smurfs, is that girls have hair, boys do not. So a baby girl who doesn't have hair yet would look the same as a baby boy.
How I came to that conclusion? Baby was not supposed to be delivered to the village at first. Which means that there is another village where baby should have been delivered (which, btw, makes it weird how after that all smurfs media have great smurf says they're the only smurfs, when literally baby is right there). The Lost Village shows us another village, made only of girls. Since the two villages must be close by for a stork, the mistake is easy to make. Baby was supposed to be delivered to the girl village.
(yeah i know technically the lost village isn't canon to the comics or the 80s cartoon but. That village can simply not have been found yet)

katsuki wakes up to little fingers walking up the curve of his bicep.
his son is sitting there at the head of the bed, right next to him, waiting, and when katsuki opens one bleary eye to peek up at him, the little boy very casually says,
"hey, dad."
it's the middle of the day. katsuki's been on night patrol for the past week and it's, unfortunately, starting to finally catch up to him; through the first few days, he was able to keep constant with you and your son's schedule, even if he was exhausted, but he'd hit the couch the minute he'd come inside this morning and, truthfully, he doesn't remember getting up for the bed at all.
when katsuki gives a little grunt of acknowledgement, the little boy continues, scooching close enough that his knees are pressed against his dad's arm. "um, can i play that jumping game on your phone?"
even half-asleep, katsuki snorts. there's a small puddle of drool that's gathered on the pillow under his head, and he frowns, stretching out his arms before rolling onto his back. "not right now."
the little boy lets out a heavy sigh, as if the answer has greatly disappointed him, but he says, "okay."
katsuki nearly falls back to sleep—even though his son scoots closer, until they're touching again—but he raises his head at the soft sound of your voice.
"hey, c'mon," you murmur from the foot of the bed, holding out your arms even if the little boy is too big to be babied anymore. "let daddy sleep, come sit with me while i wait for your stinky clothes to finish washing."
you're pretty, katsuki thinks, taking a long look at the jeans hugging your hips, how the color of your shirt compliments your skin, and he cements it to the forefront of his mind as he drops his head back down. it's easier to relax like this: thinking of you, gentle and safe inside your home.
but the little boy at his side whines, grouchy enough that katsuki peeks one eye at him again. "no," he grumbles, scooting into the crevice of his dad's armpit when you reach a little further for him. "i wanna take a nap, too."
you let out a little sigh. "oh, you do? little boy, you never want to take a nap."
"yes i do!"
"hey," katsuki croaks, frowning at his son for the arguing—and the boy knows it; he shuts his lips, casting you a quick look before laying back, head resting on katsuki's shoulder. "'s'fine," he tells you, shaking his head when you pout at him apologetically. "he says he's gonna nap, he's gonna nap."
your son nods, the soft of his hair ruffling against katsuki's nose. "mommy can nap, too."
"yeah," katsuki pats the bed through his yawn, dropping his head back one final time, as his eyes shut. "can nap, too."
"mommy has things to do," you press a kiss to katsuki's forehead, and then lean over to press another onto your son. "but you gotta sleep, okay? no goofing around."
katsuki feels the nudge of his son's nose as he turns his head into him, hair tickling him again as he nods—and for a while, he's still, quiet enough that katsuki can mostly fall back to sleep.
but after a few minutes, he can hear the soft sounds of his lips moving as he talks to himself, whispers little stories katsuki knows you've told him before, and he even lightly touches his fingers to the scar beneath katsuki's eye; poking at the ones on his shoulders; the edge of the one on his chest, peeking up over the blanket.
the little boy doesn't sleep, and katsuki doesn't either, really, but—he doesn't mind too much.
