People have always asked you why you’re so incredibly fast, is it because of your above average hamstrings or is it because of plyometrics?

To answer this question would be a pain in the ass, you could say that it was a little bit of everything. All throughout your life you’ve worked on strengthening your hamstrings and now it’s like they were made of steel. This was so that you could reduce the possibility of hamstring tears and other injuries to your legs. Plyometrics helped you with that explosive movement needed to drive forward and to be able to keep at that same speed throughout a longer period of time, though you only started using them later in life. Some people even thought that you were doping, but that was quickly debunked.

Though after you broke into the senior national team at the age of 16 the footballing community soon accepted that you were just speedy, especially for a youngster. Coming up through the youth groups along the likes of Jessie Fleming and Jordyn Huitema, you’d always been able to beat them in a footrace. 

When Jessie went off to college, you thought the decision was perfect for her and that she could learn and evolve her game to adapt to the brutality of football in America. But, even though she wanted you to follow in her footsteps, having become almost like sisters after spending so much time together, with the college route that was not what happened. Instead of committing to play college ball, you declared for the NWSL draft as soon as you turned 18 where you were selected first overall to the Washington Spirits. It wasn’t that you were bad in school per se, you weren’t interested in playing at college level.

You played football during the days while you took online classes in the evenings, classes in sports science where you found out about plyometrics. Those exercises became a daily occurrence and you soon found yourself even faster than before along with having a better technique while running and jumping.

After 2 years with the club, a rookie of the year award, two consecutive NWSL MVP’s and two golden boots under your belt your contract with the club ended. You had two options, resign with the club that drafted you or take your talents to Europe who had top clubs in bidding wars for you. Rejecting clubs like PSG and Eintracht Frankfurt, you settled for following your former teammate Rose Lavelle and national teammate Janine Beckie to Manchester City, signing a record contract with the massive club.

And while it was seen as an escape from the lockdown in the U.S. for players like Rose, the club had won your heart like no other, or rather one person in it had. A certain English forward, speedy like hell, blonde hair, 163 cm tall.

Lauren Hemp had stolen your heart with her subtle stares and quick feet that danced across the pitch in a way that had you entranced.

Moving in with Janine Beckie after signing the contract in the summer of ‘20, you met the English forward exactly 2 days 8 hours 34 minutes and 28 seconds after you had stepped on that plane heading from Dulles to Manchester airport, not that you were keeping track. It was like you were in one of those rom-coms Rose liked so much, your eyes met hers across the field and it was like everything suddenly made sense.

You had only been broken out of the moment by a barreling Janine Beckie, heading straight for you with no apparent need to stop. You had let out a loud groan the second she made contact with you, bringing you both down to the ground with her momentum. Greeting her, you hear scattered laughs from all around the pitch and as you had gotten up your eyes drifted in an effort to meet her enticing ones again.

After that, you and Lauren had become the tightest knit pair in women's football, even tighter than the ones that had known each other way longer than the two of you had. You know exactly what the other will think before they think it, it’s like you can hear each other's thoughts because you can make each other roll on the floor in laughter with just one singular look. You were known as City’s dynamic duo and one of Manchester’s two dynamic duo’s along with Alessia Russo and Ella Toone all while dominating the league.

Now having been at City for 3 years you’re constantly reminded on how you made the right choice, getting to play with your favorite girls and continuing to win awards. One of those being an olympic gold with your national team, one of the best moments of your current international career. Lauren had decided not to return with the rest of the national team when they were knocked out of the tournament, choosing to come and support you instead as you played for the final. 

She was the first one you ran to when you were let go to celebrate with your families, you didn’t have anyone else there as they were disapproving of having football as a job and deciding to freeze you out of family events while not going to any games. Although, Lauren and your national teammates were more than happy to fill that hole their absence left in your heart.

When Janine left for Portland in 2022 you felt quite lost for a while, your roommate and the person who had become more like a family member to you left. You felt betrayed for a while before coming to the realization that the move had nothing to do with you or the team, just that she had to leave for a situation that was better for her. 

But still the formerly shared apartment felt too empty and eerie without another presence accompanying it. One morning, while walking into the training grounds with your favorite person she gives you an offer you just can’t refuse.

“I could always move in with you, you know. I mean if you want to, my lease expires in like 2 months and you’ve been complaining about the apartment being empty ever since Janine left and I know I won’t fill the space that she left-”

“I’d love for you to move in with me Tempo.” And that was the start of an even deeper understanding of each other, even more inside jokes than before and an inexplicable amount of protectiveness directed towards the shorter girl. You had already had little to no tolerance towards players going in for tackles that were more aggressive than needed or players targeting her, but when you moved in together that tripled.

The amount of yellow cards your mouth and subsequent protectiveness had earned you made Georgia look like an angel in comparison.

When the 21/22-season ended and you had signed another long term contract with the Manchester based club, you decided to go home to Canada for a bit as you were given some time off. You had promised to get back in time for the start of the Euros, and you were never one to break a promise.

So after a vacation where you had eventually went and visited your former roommate, you made your way back to England to watch your best girl and her national team hopefully lift the trophy at the end of July. 

And like you had done the year prior, Lauren makes her merry way right into your arms with you being the first one she greets. And there you stand with her in your arms, just muttering reassurances and words of praise before releasing her to her parents. Now both of your medals hang together in your living room, right above your tv.

Parting ways with Lauren has been hard ever since you met her, even if it only was for a week. But as you stand in her arms at the Manchester airport, you contemplate on not even taking the plane to France for the international friendly. She lets her grip on you go, letting her arms hang limp at her side from where they were just placed around your waist. But your grip doesn’t lessen, not wanting to leave her. The voice over the speakers calls out the number of your flight and the gate which you should find yourself in during the next few minutes. Giggling softly into your ear, she gives you a nudge to indicate that you should let go but you just do the opposite.

“You have to let go sweets. I love you and we’ll see each other after the break.” Her revelation has your heart beating out of your chest despite how many times it's been said between the two of you, never in the way you want to though.

“Love you too, so much my Hempo Tempo. I promise to sneak away to watch the Brazil game, maybe I can convince Jessie to watch it with me.” Your own confession has her heart beating restlessly in her chest as you finally let her go with a kiss to her temple. Hearing the last warning for your boarding ring out between the walls of the airport, you take your hand baggage and walk towards the gate. You don’t turn around, knowing that  you wouldn’t be able to board the plane.

The nearly 2 hour flight was incredibly boring and you spent most of your time restlessly sitting in your window seat, tapping rhythmically on the food board. When you finally arrive in France you’re ready to crash in your bed, having flown late at night, but you had promised to call your roomie to call her when you arrived in the star-shaped country.

You stay on the call until you’re laying in your hotel bed, under the covers and in your favorite hoodie of hers. It was oversized though for her, but the length fit you perfectly. And like usual you were roomed with Jessie, the older forward seemed to have a special power for getting you to calm from your hyper activeness. 

As you’re dozing off you hear Lauren mutter out a quiet ‘I’m in love with you’, but your brain is way too tired to process the sentence before she hangs up the phone.

You nearly convince yourself that the confession was made up by your mind in a moment of vulnerability, especially when your flatmate acts like nothing happened the next day, texting her normal good morning. You stand your ground though, sure of what you heard her say over the phone.

Jessie can tell how distracted you are when you sit down with her for breakfast, your mind at a million places at the same time. She doesn’t push you to talk, contently sitting in the comfortable silence just waiting for you to crack up like you usually do when you have too much  on your mind and need someone to vent to.

“I think Lauren’s in love with me”, your whispered confession has Jessie looking towards you, a soft smile playing at her lips.

“What makes you think that?”, she replicates your tone, curious but not invasive, as she whispers back to you.

“Well, I’m pretty sure she confessed last night when I was on the brink of sleep. It’s also the way she acts around me, I haven’t really noticed it before but she’s always been more…”

“Affectionate?” The older Canadian finds the exact word you were searching for and you send her a quick grateful smile before continuing,

“Yeah, affectionate. My City teammates have pointed it out to me for a while now, but I’ve never really given it much thought, now after I heard what I heard I’ve been thinking a lot about our interactions.” Nodding in thought, Jessie asks the crucial question that you know has been at the tip of her tongue since you started the conversation.

“And how do you feel about it?” The question is one you have to think over long and hard, thousands of emotions swirling around in your head making your judgment clouded. It seems like everyone knows exactly what you’re feeling, except you.

“I don’t know, I mean my head is saying one thing and my heart a completely different thing. Everything’s so divided and I don’t know what I feel at the end of the day.” The words are spoken through short breaths and quick movements, indicating your stress.

“What is it that your heart is saying?”

You reply without thinking as your heart clearly takes the reins of your body before your mind takes over again. 

“That I’m completely and utterly in love with her”

“And your mind?”

“That I’m in love with her but that she doesn’t love me back and that I have no chance with her.”

“You should know that letting your heart take over every once in a while isn’t a bad thing. Everyone can see how much you love each other, your mind is always going to make up insecurities and lies just so that you don’t step out of your comfort zone. But your heart” She puts her index finger right above where your heart is beating steadily, “is always going to tell you the truth. And now it’s telling you that you love her, so just listen for once.”

“When did you become so wise?”, you’re back to your joking ways, retreating back into yourself as things become real all of a sudden but you take Jessie’s advice to heart.

“I always have been, you’ve just always been too slow to understand. Come on now we’ve gotta go to training.”

A few days later you find yourself sitting in your hotel room sending Lauren a good luck text, all your teammates sitting at various points around the room waiting for the game to start. Somehow they had all overheard you when you were asking Jessie about the game, which led to them inviting themselves into your hotel room to watch the game with you.

You pay extra attention to the small rapid forward of the England squad, watching as her feet carry her all over the pitch. Small exclamations are let out as the Brazil players are more rough than necessary, not just towards your best friend.

Your cheers bounce around the small room as Lucy assists Ella for the first goal of the match, your usual rival playing for Lauren’s team which means that she’s in your good book for the night. When the whistle for half-time blows you sigh a quick sigh of relief, not having to see anyone get battered even more. 

As the second half starts you’re at the edge of your seat, Brazil coming out blazing while England just manage to stop their attempts. What happens in the 88th minute of the game completely takes your attention from everything else.

As Lauren’s going in for a header, the Brazilian player's body is in the way and her elbow smacks right into her nose. You can see how the blood is gushing from her nose as she goes down, and your breath hitches in worry. Frozen in your place, the camera zooms in on her face as blood rushes from her nose and down into her mouth and you can feel how the bile is rising in your throat.

This wasn’t the reaction your teammates were expecting, just sitting there completely zoned out, they were expecting a furious Y/n storming around the room shouting in all directions. But they leave you be after a stern look from Jessie, the girl having moved beside you for comfort. You can’t focus for the rest of the game, not as Brazil equalizes or during the pens. 

Getting the ‘i’m okay’ text did little to assure you, but ultimately you had to believe her as you couldn’t fly out to check if she was actually okay. During the nightly facetime call you observed how she seemed to be in a bit of pain, even though she was slightly loopy from the painkillers she had been given to combat the obvious source of hurt.

The rest of the international break goes by fast, Canada drawing 2-2 with France off a brace from yours truly and England losing for the first time in 30 games with a 2-0 loss to Australia. And if you’re being honest, you were waiting for the chance to go home now.

Packing your bags, you’re off to the airport towards Manchester, and this time the flight felt like 18 hours instead of 2. But you make it to Manchester and the only thing you want to do now is to embrace Lauren and do as Jessie told you.

Luckily enough for you, Lauren had promptly told you that she would pick you up from the airport, no argument from you there. Now the only thing you need to do is find her in the sea of bodies.

A familiar squeal sounds behind you and you turn around just in time to catch a sprinting Lauren in your arms, careful to not bump her nose in the process. You lift her in a tight hug, just cherishing her company that you’ve missed oh so much. Eventually, you put her back onto the floor before making a split second decision.

Taking her face in your hands, you let your heart take over as you pull her into a sweet kiss, the kiss being everything it’s supposed to be. When you don’t feel her reciprocate you start to pull away, thinking that maybe Jessie had been wrong anyways and that Lauren didn’t like you back. It seems like Lauren comes to her senses at the last second though as she pulls you closer by putting her hands on your waist, tilting her head up slightly so that you don't have to lean down as much and pressing her lips more firmly into yours.

Pulling away from her has a whine escaping her lips as she goes up on her tippy toes to press a few quick pecks against your lips. This whole situation taints your lips with a permanent smile and as the girl opposite you asks a question you can’t help but tell her the truth.

“What was that for, bubs? Not that I didn’t enjoy it…”

“Well my dear Hempo, I followed my heart and it led me to you. You’re the reason why my heart beats a little faster and why my palms get sweaty, you’re the reason why I sometimes stumble over my words and why I can’t seem to focus when we’re in the same room. I am completely and utterly in love with you, and if I heard you right then I think you feel the same way.”

“You heard that?” Only giving a nod in response, you clasp her hand in yours as you stroll to the exits of the large airport. Out of nowhere, you let out a hum before speaking up,

“You know what they say Tempo, ‘the airport has seen more genuine kisses than a wedding hall’, I think we just proved that my love.”

A DEEP DIVE LOOK IN HERA’S TWI’LEK BACKGROUND

UNIVERSE: canon.

While Hera’s family is among the wealthy of Ryloth, that doesn’t mean she’s safe from how the galaxy perceives Twi’lek. To most, Twi’lek are known as slave dancers at the very bottom of the power chain. They’re not supposed to be strong or even out of the Outer Rim. They’re not supposed to have any kind of wealth, either, and her steps are followed by side glances from most beings she encounters.

Her father, Cham Syndulla, has gained some notoriety during the Clone Wars for actively participating in the battles to free Ryloth from the Separatists, and was considered as a threat to the local Senator’s power and influence.

This doesn’t make her safe from pirates or raids, and that’s something Hera was raised to be very conscious about. She was taught to free herself from someone’s grip as soon as she could walk, as well as self defense techniques. She was taught to hide, pick locks, to escape from capture.

However, her mother also taught her all the skills that would make her indispensable to slavers, how to show them that keeping her alive is in their own interest. A Twi’lek is worth a lot, but a Twi’lek that speaks Basic fluently is worth even more, and a Twi’lek that has a special skill and speaks Basic becomes instantly priceless.

All her life, Hera has been taught to serve others, not to lead, and being given titles in the Alliance is something she can’t get used to. She doesn’t understand why she’s given roles with responsibility and power, uses her resources carefully, and stays in the background of councils most of the time – too used to hiding her presence to not become an inconvenience to Masters.

Leading the Ghost crew and Phoenix squadron is a learning experience that freaks her out most of the time. It takes her a while to get used to her positions, even more as her career evolves over time.

The book never lets violet get the upper hand in ANYTHING.

1 Within their relationship, Xaden talks her down like she's a child. He always has to know everything, he's alwaya right abiut everything. There never was a single stance where she knew something he didn't, or did something he couldn't;

2 she's such a bad rider she needs a cell in order to mount her dragon without falling and CANNOT get off on her own like the others;

3 while we're told she's the smartest, she's ALWAYS being outsmarted by literally any other character in page;

4 whenever she tries to execute some plan of her own, it always gets hijacked by Xaden or any other character;

5 Tairn disregards their bond so often it makes you question if there's any. He serves more loyalty to xaden (because of sgayl) than he does her. And you can't accept the excuse that tairns favors xaden because the 4 of them are bonded, because sgayl NEVER stands with violet by any length or mean. It's like the three of them are bonded to xaden, instead of it being xaden/sgayl+tairn/violet. Which cheapens the whole thing, when REPEATEDLY, violet keeps on being betrayed and fooled by her own dragon when sgayl wpuld never treat xaden that way;

6 What's that bullshit with her powers? Somehow as time evolves Violet gets worse with them instead of better? Not only that, her power fell back with being boring and completely useless, and she can't master a single aspect of it. Not only that, but this very fact is repeatedly thrown against her face and she does nothing about it;

7 She can't do the runes either!;

8 Only managed to win/escape the RSC interrogation because of the runes XADEN rammed into her dagger. so technically, their squad don't actually have any merit in winning that patch;

9 She's emotionally STUPID. Thinks with her pussy. Completely insane. Cannot stand for herself. I'm confident Xaden could strike her across the face and she'd be like "sigh I probably deserved that!". In this book, her mental age regressed to something like 13 years old; she's so emotionally incompetent, various characters keep on throwing it on her face, and this is funny considering how in the first book she was so much better in catching clues, being overall coherent to her age and being able to SET BOUNDARIES. Somehow, here, Xaden is a wise saint, he's the one setting boundaries and being emotionally inteligent - he's the one explaining how she feels or should feel in the face of adversity. And this is unacceptable if you consider we started this story with a clever, stable violet who will do whatever she needs to survive and straight up sets boundaries to him of what she needs or how she can't take him if he won't conform. Here? THE OTHER WAY AROUND;

10 She's not only a so/so fighter, but there's another bitch out there with her exact fighting technique, because she's so useless, her fighting came from a man who taught the two of them the exact same things!!! And she has the weakest body!!!! (Don't argue that she also learned some from rhiannon, because once again: it's still not her merit);

11 Whats that with failing the wards? Just to pile on things she can't do?;

12 Even though she has the best dragon, Violet is so irremarkable, she can't secure rank or respect from anyone;

13 Even her siblings mount on her, saying what she should do or feel, and once again, violet does not argue AND accepts their input. So even within her siblings, she's the passive one;

14 everyone keeps on saying violet is the best of her year, but in reality, considering canon itself, Violet is the worst rider (needs the harness to fly), weakest rider (body), worst fighter, can't control her signet and keeps on being outsmarted by everyone. Even Ridoc!!! Who somehow knew something about the archives she didn't.

SO. In this exercise, I tried to point out all the ways - which are EVERY WAYS, where Violet doesn't actually excel at anything. Ahe's bad at literally EVERYTHING. Narrative doesn't let her get the upperhand ONCE, not even emotionally, sexually, or intellectually. Not in her relationship, her bond, her flying and fighting - Rebbeca Yarros doesn't allow Violet a SINGLE triumph. She doesn't have any power, any sway; she doesn't do anything, things just happen to her.

Why is SHE our hero? I get some of you bitches are bella swan levels of lame and need self inserts in order to read anything, but this is beyond belief - hiw any woman would like to read a book about a useless powerless witless doormat of an unremarkable woman who keeps on being swished around by a dude who keeps on gaslighting and controlling her like a puppet. And we're supposed to find him hot! Yay!

Let's Go Johto Concepts

I figure since I potentially only have a month left to share these, I might as well share my concepts for what the original characters to a Let's Go Johto could potentially be. If someone wants to draw them, I wouldn't say no, but I really don't expect that to happen.

Kenny: The male player character, whose name comes from "kin," meaning "gold" in Japanese. Blond with brown eyes, wears a red-and-yellow sweatshirt, black pants, and a red-and-yellow hat. Basically styled after a Fast Ball. Depending on the version, he receives an Elekid or a Magby. As an NPC, however, he starts with a Tyrogue, which ultimately becomes a Hitmontop.

Ginny: The female player character, with her name coming from "gin," meaning "silver." Ash-colored pigtailed hair and gray eyes, she wears a red jacket, black shirt, and blue overalls. Her hat is a teal skull cap with a small red bow. Once again, her starter is Elekid or Magby depending on the version, but Tyrogue/Hitmontop as an NPC.

Final Team (Either): Hitmontop/Bellossom/Mega Beedrill/Kingdra/Raichu/Houndoom

Russ: The friendly rival of the game, with his name coming from "rust." Spiky orange hair and green eyes, he wears a black t-shirt and brown pants. He's confident in his friendship with his Eevee, but he unknowingly forces his ideals of strength on it and his other Pokemon, and so it doesn't evolve until some time after a devastating loss to Silver, at which point it becomes an Umbreon. Aside from that, he adopts Professor Elm's Magby/Elekid into his team after it escapes the lab to follow its counterpart.

Final Team: Umbreon/Magmar or Electabuzz/Ampharos or Arcanine/Crobat/Blissey/Mega Alakazam

Suzu: The antagonistic rival of the game, and the first Trainer the player battles, her name literally means "bell." Blue hair in a hime-style cut, wearing a school uniform-style outfit. An apprentice Kimono Girl, she thinks herself destined to bring the Legendary Pokemon back to Ecruteak, and refuses to believe they could be the one to do it instead. She uses an Eevee as her main battler, which evolves into Espeon over the course of the game.

Final Team: Espeon/Ninetales/Magneton/Noctowl/Donphan/Mega Gengar

Aside from that, you encounter Raikou or Entei upon leaving Mr. Pokemon's house, causing Togepi to hatch right away. Togepi is a Partner Pokemon, with increased stats, and is scripted to evolve in a brief cutscene just before fighting Archer. The Pokemon recognizes you at the Burned Tower, causing Suicune to become interested in you too, and ultimately the last Beast. You catch Raikou/Entei at the Bell Tower, Suicune on Route 25, and Entei/Raikou roams Johto once it escapes the Burned Tower, but its cry sounds out once you enter the route it's currently on (accompanied by a "!" over the player's head), and all you have to do is get it to spawn.

Catching all three Legendary Beasts and showing them to Suzu earns you the Rainbow Wing, which you can of course use to encounter Ho-oh. Just as in Crystal, the old man in Pewter gives you the Silver Wing, unlocking Lugia.

Russ battles you in New Bark Town after he adds the runaway Pokemon to his team, Azalea Town after beating Bugsy, the Burned Tower upon entering for the first time, Goldenrod Tunnel after entering the Warehouse, Victory Road at the very end, and Mt. Moon upon entering. After that, he can be rematched at Indigo Plateau.

Suzu battles you in Cherrygrove City on the way back from Mr. Pokemon's house, Azalea Town after Team Rocket is defeated, Ecruteak City after beating the Rocket harassing the Kimono Girl, Goldenrod Tunnel before unlocking the Warehouse door, Bellchime Trail after catching Raikou/Entei, and Cerulean City after catching Suicune. After that, she can be rematched in the Ecruteak Theater.

Effectively, Silver's battles are divided up between Russ and Suzu, but Silver himself plays a role in the story. He's generally the one to teach the player's Togepi/Togetic Secret Techniques, namely Chop Down, Sea Skim, and Whirl Ride (the replacement for Whirlpool). Chuck's wife gives the player a Sky Dash machine, the toughness-obsesed Sailor in Olivine's Cafe teaches Strong Push, the Elder of course teaches you Light Up, you get taught Break Rocks (Rock Smash) after catching Sudowoodo, the guy in Ilex Forest teaches Ram Head (Headbutt), and Silver teaches you Falls Climb (Waterfall) once you reach Tohjo falls, but not before you defeat him in a battle.

Lyra reprises her role as your neighbor and the Day-Care Couple's granddaughter. Her role is largely the same as in HGSS, but you can battle her once per day on Route 34 after defeating Blue. Kris appears with Professor Oak at Mr. Pokemon's house, and after getting permission to go to Mt. Silver, she arrives back at Oak's lab, where she can be challenged once per day. You have to defeat her at least once to unlock Ethan, who can then be fought at the base of Mt. Silver, after which he tells you about Red, whom he's apparently been training with.

Green guards the entrance to Cerulean Cave, as well as the recently released Mewtwo, who she reveals saved the people and Pokemon on Cinnabar Island a year ago. She battles you with her team from LGPE.

Blue is of course the Viridian Gym Leader, battling you with his LGPE team.

Chase and Elaine can be battled in Pallet Town. Chase uses Pikachu, the Kanto starters, Hitmonlee, and Kabutops, while Elaine uses Eevee, the Kanto Eeveelutions, Hitmonchan, and Omastar.

Trace can be found in Lavender Town, helping out Mr. Fuji. He uses his Let's Go Eevee team, meaning Raichu, because Elaine is using Jolteon as part of her team.

Red is atop Mt. Silver, just like always. Like Blue and Green, he reprises his LGPE team.

IBIKI MORINO HEADCANNONS

So here I introduce to you some of my HC for Ibiki Morino in my new fic in which I will explore this generation a little bit more using Ibiki Morino and his wife. I need to thank @yamanaka-shin for actually encouraging me into exploring this idea. It helped me creating a new OC that I am head over heals for her and everything surrounding this couple. Ibiki in my story is actually a trans-man. Unfortunately, you are going to hear his dead-name a lot, Amhya Kudo, because of the B*** of his mother.

He named himself Ibiki Morino, he is the head and the founder of the Morino clan, since his father did not have a clan and he completely rejected his mother’s clan.

His mother had two children, him and Idate Kudo. Both were born because his mother’s father forced her to have children through which pass down the family lineage. Because Ibiki was assigned female at birth, he would not be suitable to be the next head of the clan, instead it would be  Idate. 

Idate would reject his mother’s clan too and escape to the Tea country as means of eluding her imposition of being the next head.

When someone talks about the “Kudo’s downfall” it is because they started to produce less and less boys and more girls. Some tongues speak about them killing their own little girls and force their women to have more children waiting and hoping for boys. Right now the only known biologically born male known is Idate and he has deserted from the clan. It has been condemned to extinction due to their radical and unsettling values that have not evolved nor progressed regardless of the time that has passed. 

When Ibiki made his own clan it was accepted by the third, even though it did not fulfill the requirements of a minimum of members. That was granted to Ibiki due to his efforts against Kirigakure. (Where he confronted Kisame).

 His mother, Shun Kudo, would became a rogue nin, when after all his tryings to shut down and destroy her son led her to commit treason and be in cohorts with Tamiko Yamanada (EIko’s mother) famous for been a counterfeiter and a phony. Ibiki would be in charge of looking for her.

Shun Kudo was the leader of the interrogation and torture department, Inoichi appointed him as the head of that department from the beginning.. Inoichi never wanted that position so he was more like an adviser to the leader of the department.

Kudo’s clan was famous for their torture techniques.

Kudo’s clan was originally a subordinate of the Yamanaka’s, Inoichi after many things that happened with Shun he decided to break that connection among clans and instead he decided that her son’s new clan would be the perfect substitution of them. 

Ibiki’s favorite form to spend an afternoon is with a cold beer, a good movie or book and just be relaxed there. He also likes to prepare a small BBQ for himself.

His flat is quite small, it has a living room with a small kitchen, a bathroom and a small bedroom. He has always wanted a home big enough for him to have a dog. 

He has a very minimalistic lifestyle, his wife changes that, although not too drastically.

When he dresses up to go out with his civilian clothes they look very gothic in style.

Actually is a good dancer, but doesn’t show it too often.

He is also a great chef.

Later in life he discovers videogames and he does enjoy them a lot. He is a good gamer, a secret good gamer.

He is pansexual, however he has only been romantically involved with Eiko.

He had a flinch with Anko, they are great friends right now. She was the one that named his disease “First love headache”. From that moment Ibiki knew that he needed to find Eiko to settle things with his own heart so he could move on, either with her or without her. Anko has actually helped him a lot, especially once Ibiki’s love was corresponded by Eiko.

Her mother managed to escape and transformed into a demon which affected her as a fetus . Demon slayers managed to hunt her down after she had given birth to Sanae. Then it shut down for good shortly after. I guess that was my only real attempt to reach out to a community that fit me. One thing that crosses my mind frequently is how alienated I feel amongst my friends and co-workers. But I should try and make a effort to meet people who make me feel normal. Find those that let me talk and listen to what I have to say. And hold an actual conversation. That's my hope, so if you find common interests with me, feel free to reach out.

I love music, in a weird way. There isn't a day that passes without my phone blaring music. I love rock, it's a drug for me. Goosebumps shoot down my arms when I hear an amazing song (that rush of dopamine is indescribable!) . There have been so many sub genres that I've listened to. Bands that I loved and grew out of, searching for that next high. And maybe a couple that I'll revisit from time to time (like Underoath and their recent album Voyeurist ) My taste is always evolving. A couple artists I'm listening to right now is Andromeda, Animals as Leaders, and whatever prog metal auto plays on YouTube. I look forward to sharing the songs I love with someone I feel will appreciate it. Because my music is so personal and cherished that its like a window into my soul. I don't remember the names of the songs or know the members of each band member (or any). Their significance on music, or special techniques they use. My ADHD brain isn't all that great at remembering that information (unless I studied it often which seems like a chore tbh). I just embrace that song or album till my interest fades. Like the song Chino Moreno did with Polyphia 😂 listened to that song on repeat with no shred of self control.

Video games are my shit, if I show my steam library 💀 there's a ton of titles. And a lot of money senselessly spent. Senselessly because the only title that I keep coming back to is Apex Legends. Everything else is temporary. Although Overwatch 2 is a lot of fun! Still frustrating at times but it provides the challenge and multiplayer competition I enjoy. Maybe you game too and we can clap cheeks together!

If I'm not playing video games or don't feel like it. You can find me either watching random channels on YouTube or anime. I'm gonna apologize in advance, a lot of popular titles are lost on me. The ones that I'd probably have in common with most fans are Attack on Titan, Chobits, Psycho-pass (only the first season) Demon Slayer, and Steins Gate. Studio Ghibli is good as far as movies go but the ones I absolutely love is "I want to eat your pancreas" "A Silent Voice" "Josee, the tiger and the fish" and "Her Blue Sky." My absolute favorite anime series is Ergo Proxy. Funny cause my current DnD character's name is based off Vincent. It's an older title, super confusing and the anime doesn't give viewers the backstory to understand the significance of proxy's and their role given from their "creators". It's not regarded as an amazing anime. But for me, it's the similarities of Vincent's character development to my own. I didn't realize it till recently after I moved on from my own issues that I ignored for a long time. Vincent has his memory wiped to forget his past self and the anguish he faced. His new companions give him a new perspective on life. And when he faces the reality that he tried to escape, his experience with the people he cares for helps him overcome that shadow. I love you mom for helping me let go of the weight I held onto for so many years.

Lastly, my cat Mei who I got from an old co-worker when I worked at pizza hut. This cat is like the 10% of felines that isn't a Dee Dee mega doo doo head. Seriously! Mei won't jump on the kitchen counter tops, dining tables, or my PC desk. She's super gentle when we play. Like I use my hands to wrestle her and she never bites hard or claws me. Nor has she done this with my friends. And as much as she doesn't like being held, she tolerates it from me or a complete stranger with zero aggression. Honestly, she's one of the best things that has happened in my life. I love her. And yes I named her after Mei from Overwatch which is a perfect fit.

Vivi Slidell the saloon's co-owner and head bartender Joaquin Diaz both encourage Chloe to take the day off and check out the competition. Chloe has also been asked by Vivi's friend Ann to help her with a project regarding some hidden treasure linked to her family history. Instead of finding treasure, they find the dead body of one of the ringers brought in to participate in the Barback Games. So while searching for sunken treasure with Ann they are also searching for a killer. Suddenly pushing a keg up a hill doesn't seem so hard. What a fantastic story! I loved that Ann Williams who claims to be a descendant of the famous pirate Jean Lafitte was given a starring role in this installment. She is known as a "fixer" in the area and until now has been pretty mysterious. The fact that she asked Chloe to help her was very interesting. Chloe becomes a loyal friend really fast especially when they find themselves in dire straights. Chloe has really grown over the course of this series. She and Vivi co-owing the Sea Glass Saloon has opened up a ton of possibilities. They have learned how to work together very well. Throw Joaquin into the works and they all make a great team. I am so happy that they have realized they need to hire more help. Chloe's interview techniques had me laughing out loud. The other thing that makes me happy is Chloe's relationship with Rip. It is evolving at a perfect pace. Miss Harris really pulled out the stops when she penned the mysteries in this book. The mystery of a sunken pirate ship grabbed my attention right away. The subplot has several nice twists and a moment that stopped my heart. The murder mystery was compelling as well. Chloe did her best to link all the clues together and my oh my that final twist was a doozy. Everything I have read by Ms. Harris has been fun and entertaining. Rum and Choke is just the latest in a group of wonderful reads. Her characters are well-developed, the mysteries are complex and even when it's raining the setting is superb, especially when the snow is flying here in Wisconsin. I am really excited for the next book in this series because the author has dropped a few breadcrumbs of probable coming events and the last line of the book had me grinning ear to ear.

Something I notice about the giant Grimm is that they never seem to do anything. The Wyvern in V3 awakens from it's mountain and just sits on Beacon, the Leviathan only wades through the ocean and destroys a bell-tower and Monstro only spews out smaller Grimm. Whatever happened to Team RWBY strategizing to take down a Nevermore? These giant Grimm are just showpieces now.

I honestly think part of the problem remains the show's unwillingness to attach lasting consequences—and responsibility—to the group's choices. Because what does a giant grimm do? Destroy things and kill people, to a (presumably) larger extent than the normal grimm would. The Wyvern I give a total pass to because 1. Beacon was already overrun and being destroyed (a giant grimm was kinda overkill at that point) and 2. Since it's not needed for additional destruction/death, it serves the separate purpose of helping to introduce Ruby's eyes. Which I like. We've got to remember that back in Volume 3, no one in the fanbase knew what silver eye powers were, so having Cinder flinch in pain isn't going to explain what that power actually does—her connection to grimm via the weird bug is both unique and forgettable. So you've gotta include an actual grimm in that scene for Ruby to freeze, introducing the primary mechanic of "Silver eyes are a grimm specific weapon." Making the grimm a giant and presumably powerful Wyvern both explains why the group couldn't team up to take it down normally—which, again, was never that grimm's purpose in the first place. Some grimm exist for cool fights, others for forwarding the plot—and, frankly, it's just more entertaining to get a giant grimm for a Volume finale. Freezing it at the top of the tower likewise explains why the school isn't immediately rebuilt. We answer the, "Why are the characters going on a dangerous quest when they could just go back to school?" question by keeping the Wyvern there. So all in all, I think it functions rather well, demonstrating some of the logic threads RWBY now lacks.

The other two though... that's when we run into problems. Because unlike the Wyvern, they're not serving those specific functions of introducing a new power/explaining why Beacon isn't rebuilt. For them, yeah, we absolutely expect the group to have a cool fight and take them out in some epic, strategic, GIF—worthy manner. This is a fighting show! Problem is, in order to have a cool fight with a giant grimm, you need to include the inevitable consequence that things will be destroyed and, likely, people will be killed. These giant grimm aren't appearing in the middle of a forest like the Nevermore did (or even like the first geist did), they're turning up in populated areas. Fighting them will lead to casualties... and the problem there is that responsibility for these situations goes back to the heroes. Their choice to fight Cordovin brought the Leviathan. Their choice to run with Penny kept everyone in Atlas trapped. So if an epic battle wages and people in Argus die, or Salem's army breaks through and everyone in Atlas—including the Mantle evacuees—are overrun... that tragedy is partially on the group. And, notably, the story doesn't want the group to sit with any major consequences of their choices. So nothing bad happens. And nothing bad happens by virtue of there barely being a fight. Ruby just freezes time and sets off her eyes so they don't have to deal with the Leviathan ever reaching shore where the people are. Ironwood's army holds the line until Oscar saves the day so they don't have to deal with the grimm overrunning half the Kingdom. RWBY introduces very high stakes—here's this mega powerful super big ultra evil monster!!—and then pulls back on the follow through because to do otherwise would introduce consequences the story just doesn't want its heroes to face. Anyone remember during the Volume 7 hiatus how we were saying that Salem should absolutely decimate the Kingdom? Yeah, look at all the ways the story bent over backwards to avoid that. Salem randomly waits around to start the fight, the grimm soup only attacks the shields, the whale only spews smaller grimm, the line is never broken, her subordinates turn on her... the plot (flimsily) goes out of its way to ensure nothing horrific happens, as logic dictates it should, because the heroes were the ones to prevent most of the people from escaping. You can't have the mass murder of a Kingdom after that! So it doesn't happen. Even though it should. And when the horrific, permanent things do occur—the destruction of the Kingdom itself—it's fine now because the heroes chose it.

I 100% believe that in a story where the heroes were allowed to own up to their mistakes and grow from them, the fights would likewise have more room to play with the action in creative ways. If you're willing to really put Argus in danger and have the group own up to the choices that led to that, you can choregraph that epic fight on shore. However, all of this isn't to say that RWBY doesn't also have a problem with abandoning the strategic teamwork we started out with. The Hound is the most recent example of this. There, the story's moral stance isn't hindering the action: the Hound attacks in an empty street and then in the mansion with only three non-combat characters nearby. They heroes also haven't done anything wrong in these situations where having a destructive fight would reflect badly on them. Free rein for action! Yet Team JYR still just stands there while Oscar is captured, or take turns launching single attacks rather than trying to defeat it together (though this gets much better during their chase scene). Weiss comes out to help Blake and Ruby, only to be sent right back inside. Ruby is knocked out and Blake can't defeat the acid grimm alone, but Ruby one-shots it from behind rather than the two of them working together. Then Ruby waltzes up and also one-shots the Hound with her eyes, Whitley and Willow's contribution feeling like it hardly matters. If a suit of armor falling on it is enough to finish the Hound off, any punch from any of the fighters would have done the same job. Ruby's eyes already did all the work. Even when the story has all the space it wants for those cool fights against giant and abnormal grimm... it's holding back.

The fights have really gone downhill in the last couple of Volumes and no, it's not because the current animators aren't as talented with choreography as Monty was. It's because the fights are bending in illogical ways to serve the story, rather than the story evolving naturally out of the fights. Why can't Blake take on this grimm? Because the story wants to emphasize how crucial Ruby is to the team's spirits. Why don't we get cool combos to take out the Hound? Because the story wants to reveal the faunus' silver eyes in a shocking manner. Why was Yang taken out from a single hit by Neo? Because the story wanted to quickly established that the main group would "die" in this finale. Why did JYR just stand there and attack in useless ways? Because the story needed Oscar to get kidnapped. Why wasn't the whale established as something to fight, either with traditional combat techniques or with something the group had to come up with? Because the story wanted to introduce the shocking surprise of Ozpin's cane. Etc. etc. All of these fights fail on one level or another because they're just trying to get the viewer to the next plot point, never-mind whether the fight itself makes sense or is entertaining to watch. It's the same logic as the Wyvern—this serves a purpose other than to be a cool fight for the series—but RWBY is no longer putting in the work to get all these pieces to fit together. The Wyvern keeps to the internal logic of RWBY's world, whereas something like Yang's knock out does not. Doing that with the mega grimm that promise incredible challenges and likely destruction just makes that failure to deliver all the more noticeable.

Since the Volume 4 days, the last fight I can remember really liking—that got me super hyped and eager to re-watch it on Youtube—was Ironwood vs. Watts. Looking back, it doesn't at all surprise me that this fight a) didn't require any teamwork, b) didn't have any grimm involved, c) was between a villain and a soon to be villain in an empty space (eliminating those ethics entirely), and d) existed almost solely to just be a Cool Fight (with the minor, plot forwarding details of capturing Watts and Ironwood losing his arm). Ironwood vs. Watts had the freedom to be one of the old school RWBY fights, unencumbered by the questions that now keep tripping the writers up like, "If Team RWBY won with teamwork, why didn't you animate them working as a team?" or "Why did Ruby use her eyes when we wanted to see action and didn't use her eyes to save her own life against Cinder?" or "Why did you introduce this giant grimm, promising an epic fight, only to give the group a mostly non-combat solution? Oh, because that kind of epic fight is going to introduce a lot of other questions you don't want to tackle... Jinn randomly letting Ruby stop time, it is."

There's been a lot of cql/mdzs atla-au posts going around lately and I need to add my take.

Because I think a lot could be done with Wei Ying as the avatar.

Imagine the story goes similarly as in canon. He is the son of traveling benders. Maybe Cangse-Sanren is a firebender and Wei Changse a waterbender. They get killed on some mission and he gets taken in by his father's old friend and leader of the Yunmeng water tribe. (This reminds me a lot of kyoshi's backstory, too.) He raises him a long his own children, his daughter who takes to healing more than fighting, and his son who likes nothing more than fighting.

Wei Ying already showed signes of being a waterbender, so they train him, even though he is the son of a former servant. He is, of course, more talented than any other of their students, even Jiang Cheng. Madam Yu still hates him for it.

At some point, they let all the children of the sect take the Avatar test. He passes. Occurs, they don't tell him until he is 16, so he doesn't know. Madam Yu dies though and her hatred for him for upstanding her son only grows. But Wei Ying is happy and loves them, much like in canon and, much like in canon, he is also convinced that he is deeply indebted to him and always brings more trouble than he is worth.

When they tell him he is the avatar on his 16th birthday, he is shocked and scared of his responsibility, but doesn't show it. He laughs it off and tells everyone he is glad because that means he can see the world and doesn't have to annoy madam yu anymore. He only shows cracks to his cheerful facade when they tell him that he has to leave the very next day. That means he will miss Jiang Cheng's birthday. When he tells Jiang Cheng's this, he gets angry and tells Wei Ying that clearly he is very important now and why not run off to the other sects, see if they will put up with him. He refuses to say goodbye after that, so it's just jiang yanli and Jiang fengmian seeing him off.

He goes to king Nie first who is the most renowned earth bending master of their time. He is unyielding and harsh, but unbelievably fond of his younger brother, who mostly uses his bending to sculp intricate and detailed statues. Wei Ying likes him instantly.

Next is fire. He doesn't like the fire lord who greets him and treats him like he is royalty himself, but in a way that makes Wei Ying's skin crawl. He does like the shy boy in his group lessons and his older sister. Wei Ying is good at firebending, even though it should be his natural enemy. Maybe it's his mother's side showing itself though.

Then of course, to complete his training, he needs to learn air-bending. He gets to Gusu and immediately dislikes it there. They are monks and they live like it, too. There are rules regulating every waking moment and the sleeping ones too and he vows to break at least half of them. By now he us 20 and he'll be damned if he lets himself be bossed around like he's 12 again.

He is greeted by their unusually young leader and his uncle and brother. He expects the uncle to be his teacher, but no. Lan Xichen explains that the honor of training the Avatar will go to the youngest air bender to ever become a master, his brother, Lan Zhan.

Okay, Wei Ying thinks, he can live with that. At least a teacher close to his own age should be fun, right?

Wrong!

Lan Zhan is strict, reticent, unyielding and punishes him for every single infringement of the 3000+ rules. He scolds Wei Ying for not taking the enormous responsibility of being the avatar more seriously. He never smiles and never praises him with more than a "passable".

But he is a challenge. One he is good! The best opponent in a fight Wei Ying has had since he was 14. And there is something so fun at making him react in even the slightest way! Also, his ears blush when he is angry and it's cute!

The first time, Wei Ying uses something other than air bending in their training fights, Lan Zhan is furious (Undisciplined!). But tge second time he grots his teeth and fights, really fights Wei Ying. He holds his own again a 3/4s-trained avatar for more than 30 minutes until Wei Ying let's him get swallowed by a whole in the ground that he than seals with a thick layer of ice that will take him way to long to slice open with air bending.

After that, their relationship evolves. It's more of a mutual rivalry, rather than just Wei Ying needling his air bending teacher until he snaps. After a few months, once Wei Ying has progressed beyond the basics (he can fly now! He loves flying! How can the Lans be so serious all the time? They can fly!!!), Lan Zhan introduces him to musical air-bending. Through bending, they can use the sounds to heal and to hurt, amplify them at will or direct them to a specific direction. Lan Zhan demonstrates some techniques on his guqin and then plays a song, though he refuses to tell Wei Ying its meaning.

Wei Ying picks a dixi. He takes to music like a fish to water and soon he is declared a fully trained air bender. His last night in Gusu is when it happens. News reaches them that Yunmeng is under attack from the Wen sect, who have been annexing more minor territoires for years. By the time Wei Ying gets there Lan Zhan at his side, Lotus Peer is burned to the ground. They barely get Jiang Cheng and Jiamg Yanli out, helped by Wei Ying's old friend, Wen Ning. They make it Wen Qing, who takes one look at Lan Zhan and tells him to go because Gusu is next.

(The wens knew where the avatar was abd where he wasn't abd chose their attacks accordingly)

Lan Zhan rushes back (alone. Wei Ying has brother to get back from the brink of death) but he us too late, too. Cloud Recesses is burned, his father dead, his brother missing and he is taken prisoner.

The war happens almost like in canon. The other heirs are taken hostage and given lessons as to how to behave towards their occupiers. They escape through the stupidity of Wen Chao.

I don't think that there'd be a burial mounts though, nor an equivalent to the list golden core. you can take someone's bending but i want Wei Ying to remain the avatar because:

In his desperation to beat the seemingly almighty Wen and his grieve for the Jiangs who took him in, he devices a plan. A) he goes to Lan Zhan and asks him if musical cultivation might help him to learn how to control the avatar state. He says they can try. They do try and after a while, Wei Ying reaches that state. And B) he rensacks the world for scrolls on blood cultivation.

When they advance on nightless City, he is ready. No one kniws his plan. Even Lan Zhan only knows of his having learned to control the avatar state. He needs the element of surprise and he needs it when he stavds in front of Wen Ruohan.

So he waits. By the time he stands face to face with Wen Ruohan and his army, the floor us littered with corpses.

Wei Ying, in front of his brother, Lan Zhan, everyone goes into the avatar state and with the power of all his former incarnations, bebds the blood of every single corpse, as well as every single Wen soldier to turn on Wen Ruohan and then each other. It's a massacre.

When he comes to it again, there is silence. And then cheers. Everyone cheers for him, even though blood bending has veen outlawed for ages. He won them their war though.

Everyone cheers, everyone but Lan Zhan.

They fight after that, a lot.

(I helped you enter the avatar state. You could have died! - my problem, not yours! - You desecrated the dead! What about their spirits? - what about their spirits? I'm the avatar, i can deal with them! - the avatar state is the sacret link to your past lifes ... - My past lifes, yeah Lan Wangji! Let me decide what to do with them. - Wei Wuxian! - Lan Wangji.)

They part on bad terms more often than not.

So when knews reaches that the Jins, a notoriously rich noble family in some corner of the earth kingdom, has taken Wen citizens, civilians mostly, for slave labour, he goes alone. He is furious, more so when he realises that his friends are among them. He enters the avatar stare involuntarily and has the blood of all present Jin soldiers boil in their veins. Wen Ning is almost dead, but he uses his bending to circulate his blood in his body until he can get him to his sister. She is in Lanling after all, having married their heir.

Now because I love Jiang Yanli, in this au, she plays a bigger role. She saves Wen Ning and shows them out of Lanling.

They flee to a part of Qishan that was all but destroyed during the war and then used as a mass grave for the Wens wei ying himself killed, the ones whose spirits Lan Zhan had warned him about.

And the workd turns on it's Avatar.

The avatar is supposed to bring Peace, stand for balance and justice. Not choose a handful of people to protect at all costs.

But Wei Ying thinks, this is just! The world is full of greedy rich people trying to outdo each other for power, so isn't protecting those who suffer from it through no fault of their own justice?

Now, this could go two ways. Either, in a plot more similar to mdzs, the spirits Wei Ying disturbed abd that he is now living on top of, betray him when the rest of the world finally comes to ambush him (cue Lan Zhan trying g to protect him abd falling from grace himself. And the eternally yearning because he list his chance. the avatar is reborn ofc and Lan Zhan vows to protect them because Wei Ying is still a part of them, but they aren't Wei Ying. They are a completely different person and Lan Zhan never loves again.) DEPRESSING

So, let's go the atla route. Wei Ying goes through a spiritual journey, similar to Korra, gets the Wen remnants rehabilitated, makes the right people see sense and basically does the whole Avatar shitck of first finding peace within himself in order to bring peace to the world. *waves hand*

He confesses to Lan Zhan. They adopt A Yuan. Cue kiss in front of a glowing sunset and "The End" displayed to soaring music.

Star Wars Alien Species - Togorian

Togoria was a planet in the Mid Rim and the homeworld of the Togorians. The temperate world of Togoria, featuring isolated cities among vast savannas, deep canyons and great, deep forests.

Togorians evolved as nomadic hunters of creatures like the bist and etelo. In turn, flying reptiles called liphons preyed upon the Togorians. Primitive Togorians noticed that slightly smaller flying reptiles, mosgoths, were also targeted by liphons who attacked their nests and stole their eggs. Togorians began camping near the mosgoths for mutual protection, eventually domesticating them as mounts. Soon, a rift in their society developed—while males wanted to continue their lifestyle as nomads, females wanted the comfort and safety of permanent camps. In other species, the conflict would have led to one lifestyle winning over the other, but both male and female Togorians were too stubborn.

Eventually, the males continued their nomadic ways, riding their mosgoths and hunting, and competing in contests of prowess. Meanwhile, the females stayed in villages with pre-pubescent children, with those communes eventually growing into cities. While the males continued to hunt in the wilderness, the females tended domesticated herds and developed technology. Males would visit their mates for about a month each year, but the sexes lived completely separate lives otherwise. Whether in spite of the separation of the sexes, or because of it, Togorians were monogamous, and devoted to their chosen mates.

The Togorians were first discovered by galactic society when the Mandalorians tried to conquer Togoria. When the Togorians united to defend their planet, the Mandalorians were so impressed with the Togorians' fighting tactics and techniques that they recruited them. These Togorians were among the first non-Taung or non-Human people to join the Mandalorian ranks. When the Mandalorian Neo-Crusaders were defeated, some Togorians turned to mercenary work, bounty hunting, and joining space pirate colonies organized and controlled by the Hutts.

In 32 BBY, a band of Togorian pirates used their bulk freighter and decoy space cruiser to lure the Scimitar, the Sith Lord Darth Maul's Sith Infiltrator, into a trap. Maul was on his way to Tatooine to complete an important mission given him by Darth Sidious—to first track, then eliminate the two elusive Jedi ambassadors to Naboo, Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi, before capturing Queen Amidala and returning her to her homeworld, where she would be constrained to sign a treaty with the Trade Federation, making its invasion and occupation of the planet "legal". It was then, as Maul came out of hyperspace above Tatooine, that the Togorians attacked. After the ambushers aboard the pirate cruiser were sent to search, plunder, and retrieve Maul's ship, they found it devoid of passengers, and their captain commanded them to return to the freighter; indeed, the Zabrak assassin had jettisoned his personal escape pod to evasively infiltrate and attack the occupants of the larger pirate vessel, killing all on-board including its captain. Darth Sidious was adamant regarding Maul's critical clandestine mission, that there were to be no witnesses to Maul's presence in Tatooine space. One lingering pirate assailant, Hela-Tan, viciously fought with Maul even as the Sith Lord, having at last recovered the Scimitar, was executing his escape from the pirates' docking bay, to continue his mission to Tatooine. The pirate succeeded in administering a brutal wound to Maul's leg before the Togorian himself was sucked into space by the explosive blast of the Togorians' Sith-sabotaged freighter, which had detonated upon its bridge crew's ignition of its engines.

During the Clone Wars Togorians aided General Grievous in the Battle of Togoria. In the final days of the Galactic Republic, a Togorian Jedi youngling escaped Order 66.

During the Imperial era, they were ruled by a male hereditary monarch, titled the "Margrave of Togoria". The Margrave lived like any other nomad, save only that it was a great honor to be allowed to pitch a tent in his camp. Either his wife or a close blood relative governed the female population from the city of Caross, which was effectively the planetary capital.

Males rarely left their homeworld, though a few were pirates and mercenaries, or were unwillingly forced offworld to search for a missing mate. Since the only offworlders they met were smugglers, pirates, or slavers, they considered most of them no better than rossorworms. They found droids and Imperial stormtroopers (or "Metal Men" and "White Shells", as they called them) particularly objectionable. Offworlders on Togoria found trespassing outside Caross would be returned to the females of Caross to be dealt with. On a second offense, they were staked out for the liphons to eat. Despite this, male Togorians could be amiable towards offworlders, especially those not dependent upon technology. Han Solo and Mammon Hoole were among those who were honored by the Togorians. Solo was once invited by the Margrave to stay on Togoria and hunt with the males, while Hoole even pitched his tent in the Margrave's camp (though the Shi'ido sentientologist may have been taking the form of a Togorian at the time.)

Female Togorians, on the other hand, were willing to deal with outsiders. They stereotypically enjoyed luxury, though not to the point of decadence, and tended to be acquisitive, industrious, and cunning. Females who could afford it often rewarded themselves with a few years on resort planets such as Bespin or Ord Mantell. The females had developed fairly high technology on their own, showing expertise in solar energy. By the Imperial era, they had almost enough technical expertise to develop their own starships.

Offworlders had difficulty negotiating with Togorians in order to gain access to their planet's natural resources, so their trade was limited. Female Togorians were, however, a valuable market for comlinks, datapads, small droids, and other small electronics and luxuries. Mastercrafted scimitars or "sc'rath" produced by male Togorians fetched high prices on offworld weapons markets. Both sexes, however, preferred to walk or ride mosgoths rather than ride vehicles.

Han Solo's friend Muuurgh and his mate Mrrov were Togorians, as well as the Jedi Bhixen.

As a species, they were large bipeds, with retractable claws on their hands and feet. They were covered in gray-white to black fur, often with more colorful spots or stripes.They had extremely dense bone tissue, allowing them to endure greater physical trauma than beings with similar physiques. Their piercing jade eyes provide them with excellent vision, even in low light conditions. Female Togorians were up to 2.2 meters or 7.2 feet tall, while adult males ranged up to 3.0 meters or 9.8 feet and weighs 170 kilograms or 375 pounds.

Togorian age at the following stages: 1 - 9 Child 10 - 14 Young Adult 15 - 44 Adult 45 - 64 Middle Age 65 - 79 Old Examples of Names: Dankin, Dh'rang, H'sishi, Keta, Mezgraf, Mrrov, Muuurgh, Qrrulla, Rowv, Ruukas, Sarrah, Seendar. Languages: Togorians learn their own language of Togorian, as well as the standard tongue of Basic.

The Star Plasma Vessel:

When I first read Gojo’s past arc, Riko Amanai and the whole dynamic created between all of the characters and how fast a strong bond can grow, really interested me.

⚠️Spoiler warning ofc ⚠️

But... I was so confused over the Star Plasma Vessel. I was so confused and thought I missed something because I didn’t even know who Master Tengen was. And the site I was reading the manga didn’t have chapter 72, but after re reading it... the Star Plasma Vessel and Master Tengen are... still suspicious as hell.

So Let’s talk about it!

Who is Master Tengen?

In the Nara Period (710-794) Tengen spread Japanese Buddhism and ‘preached what would become the foundation for Jujutsu sorcerers(JJK.wiki)’. They were first mentioned in chapter 53 by fake Geto. 

At this point, the only information about Master Tengen was that of their jujutsu. Jogo asks Fake Geto who’s stronger; Tengen or Gojo? Fake Geto simply states that “it’s immortality not anti-aging” and that Master Tengen doesn’t interfere unless it involves the barrier. He also makes this comparison with a tree? However, I’m not sure if the tree metaphor is comparing Tengen and Gojo or describing/comparing Tengen’s technique. 

During Gojo’s Past Arc, we find out more about the specifics of their jujutsu and how powerful and important they are. Tengen’s jujutsu is immortality but it doesn’t stop the aging process. The cursed technique tries to switch bodies roughly every 500 years. If Tengen doesn’t get a vessel, then they will ‘evolve’ or ascend to a higher state where they have no will. If in this higher state, they could become a threat to humanity. If they do get a vessel, then they rewrite the body’s genetic information. 

On top of all that, Master Tengen’s ability strengthens the barriers that protect the jujutsu world and keep the amount of curses limited to Japan. The Jujutsu world wouldn’t be working the way it has for so long if not for these barriers. It isn’t specified whatsoever what Tengen would do that would make them a threat to humanity, but my guess is that it would have something to do with allowing curses to run free and unrestricted. 

In the reccent chapters, Fake!Geto used a remote activation technique that Yuki orginially mistakes as an attack on the barrier. He’s disrupting the balance that’s for sure, but I believe that  he could have broken the barrier. He had the option and probably the power, but he didn’t. This implies that Tengen is a force that even our antagonists fear or don’t wish to get involve. They said that they were  stabilized even after Riko Amanai died, but... considering Ep. 18 where Principal Yaga goes ‘I’m going to see Tengen” after the Curses break onto school grounds implies that maybe he is weaker. Gojo even talks about how in the end, Tengen’s barrier hides rather than protects and that it’s weak once infiltrated, which raises a lot of questions. And maybe Tengen plays a part in this whole scheme because of  the talk of how much chaos the world would be thrown into had the barrier been broken by Yuki and Fake!Geto’s questionable response. 

Who is Riko Amanai?

Riko Amanai was the Star Plasma Vessel in 2006. It is implied that she was pretty wealthy, and when she was younger, her parent’s died in a car crash, but she survived. Between the years of her parents’ death and her death, she was cared for by Misato Kuroi, a non combatant  jujutsu sorcerer who can fight curses, well educated in the curse world, but might not be able to use cursed energy/techniques. It is unknown with who Misato is affiliated with and if Amanai became aware of her status as the Star Plasma Vessel at an early age. 

 When first introduced, she is very willing and seemingly okay with the merger. When Gojo expresses his surprise over Amanai’s reaction to her attempted assassination attempt and the whole concept of the merger, she simply proclaims “Master Tengen is me and I am Master Tengen!”. She then goes on a rant about how the merger and death are different things and how after the Merger, her will and spirit will live on. However, this statement was contradicted earlier, when Yaga describes the Merger as an ‘eraser’. Later, Geto even talks about how after the Merger, Amanai will just be forced to be beneath the school and has to get rid of all mortal connections. It just happens to be that, she has no relations besides Kuroi... suspicious.... 

  Riko is spunky and fiesty. During her rant, Gojo and Geto comment on how she probably has no friends based on how she talks. She is clumsy, and honestly just... funny. I keep on hoping someone in the main timeline says something similar to the “Liar, you look a liar... and whats with those bangs” line  in reference to Fake!Geto. Getting back at hand, Riko is also brave. When Kuroi gets kidnapped, she insists on coming with Geto and Gojo despite having no fighting or curse capability. When nervous or in an emotional confrontation, she has a habit of scrunching up part of her skirt in her fists. 

 Despite putting up an image of content with the Merger, Riko is a normal teenage girl. Moments before her death, Riko’s inner monologue focuses on how she was always told she was ‘special’ and ‘different’, and how despite everything that happened, she always survived. Now, being told that you are special and different at a young age is something that affects people heavily. Weather  it is being told that you are a ‘gifted’ kid or that you are just ‘different’ can lead to a lot of self separation from others. One might see themselves as better than others because of these skills or believe that someone else like them can’t exist and struggle when meeting someone similar or in a similar situation. Before her appearance in the story, it is implied that she had good relationships with her friends, classmates, and Kuroi, but didn’t really value them as much as she should due to this idea of being special or having a destiny. (Damn, a Gojo parallel maybe hmm)  This led her to be really lonely and she believed that she would be okay with the merger because she thought that the loneliness and sadness would disappear. In the last three days of her life, Riko got to spend time with her friends at schools  (the last she saw of them was them teasing her for her ‘hot cousin’ Gojo), spending time with Kuroi, and developing a strong bond with Gojo and Geto. She realizes that the sadness and loneliness could and would leave as long as she had strong bonds with others. 

“I want to be with everyone more! I want to go to more places, see more things with everyone... More!!” 

  After Riko comes to terms with what she really wants, she dies at the hands of Toji Fushiguro/Zenin. Her death sets an entire series of misfortunes and rifts between the Strongest Duo and she serves her part as... well the plot tool she  doubles as. 

A Choice:

 Before her death, Riko is given a choice. Geto gives her instructions on where to go for the merger, before saying “Or you can turn back and return home with Kuroi.”. He gives her a choice. A choice to go through with the merger and ensure stability despite no one truly knowing what is happening, or a choice to live a life of her choice. We find out that Yaga gave hints that there is something wrong with the Merger due to the way that he described  it as an ‘erasure’ and how he isn’t one to ‘beat around the bush’. 

 We find out that Gojo and Geto decided beforehand that if the Vessel wasn’t willing to go through with the merger, they wouldn’t do it and that they, the strongest duo, would fight Master Tengen. Gojo and Geto were the strongest and Geto says that no matter what she chooses, they will protect her future. 

 Riko decides to go home, wherever that may be, instead of the merger, but of course, dies. 

 As established before, this whole concept is suspicious. Yaga knew there was something wrong with this. Gojo and Geto both knew there was something wrong with this.

 In chapter 138, Yuki goes “it’s about time I confront Tengen.” This opens a box with even more questions. What does she mean by this? Why is it ‘about time’ and how casual is it for sorcerers to talk to Tengen? As mentioned before, Yaga is apparently in communication with Tengen when he needs to be. And Yuki is the one who told Geto that Tengen was stabilized after the failed merger and that the vessel was probably reborn...

Conclusion: 

 I honestly hope more than predict that we get to meet Riko Amanai reborn or the next SPV.  Tengen is a name that is getting thrown around recently so there is no way that he is just.. not going to be relevant in the coming chapters. 

  I know a lot of people have found comparisons to Buddhism and the Jujutsu world, and I am not that well educated in this area, I do know that rebirth plays a big role in it. Rebirth is viewed as a negative cycle one should want to escape from called “Samsara”. I personally headcanon/theorize that the Star Plasma Vessel and the soul of Riko Amanai, is one that gets reborn constantly and is stuck in a cycle where they experience a lonely and sad  life before getting a taste of a full and happy one right before the merger. In terms of the 500 year thing, the Star Plasma vessel would have first been born( created?) during sometime in the in between of the Heian Period (794-1184) and the Muromachi Period (1392-1573). The Heian Period is implied to be the Golden Age of Curses and when Sukuna was in full power despite being known in history as a peaceful time for Japan, so I definitely believe that there is some connection if my math is correct (which it probably isn’t. I hate math). 

Right now in the story, vessels... are really important. According to Fake Geto, he released what is like a thousand Itadori Yujis, so I think that bringing back the star Plasma vessel would fit really well. However, they would roughly be around 12 years of age in 2018, meaning that they might not even be able to do the merger because I think the vessel has to be sixteen and older and have a full moon.

(Edit: added 4/1/21: Also, it might not be Riko reborn, but just another Star Plasma Vessel. Like Yuki says that either they had another vessel at hand, or another one was already born. So like... the new SPV might be the age of our main characters or possibly even one of the characters we already know!)

I also think it will be really interesting to see how it would play off with the fact that Gojo/Geto are no longer involved in the story. Gojo is sealed and the real Geto is dead. When thinking about how the SPV would be in the story, I imagined a picture of a younger girl in a uniform and with a braid holding the sealed Gojo and staring up at the fake Geto. I’m not over what happened to Riko Amanai if you haven’t noticed and I feel like she deserves to have this other chance. I also think it’ll set up the eventual meeting or confrontaion with Master Tengen which I’m personally dying to see.

So what do you think? I don’t really have any solid predictions other than that the SPV reborn will make an appearance, but what about you? Do you guys think Tengen will play a big part?
