And the Start of Something Terrible

After gathering at the Great Hall, Jeniferl could not stop wondering about many things

One is how she'll start this year without Professor Rakepick.

She still calls her professor despite everything she's done. She just wanted her to know the reason behind her actions and apologize to the people she hurt.

Another is that she still couldn't stop thinking about Jacob.

She may have finally found and save him but he disappear again without making any contact to her the whole summer. But now she knows that he's alive gives her a little bit of peace in mind.

Speaking of someone who didn't make any contact, Ben was also nowhere to be seen despite her and Rowan looking for him the whole summer.

They felt like he's been avoiding them, especially Jeniferl. But Jeni blames herself again cause she though that he has become more scared after what she brought them into. She become worried about how she was bringing him to danger in their relationship.

And after a strange man took her suddenly and swore to secrecy during Bill's celebration last school year, she can only keep this thoughts on to herself. She rather do a lot of helping instead to the people she caused trouble to find her brother and find the last cursed vault as soon as possible to end the curse.

Though Rowan notice how Jeniferl was too worried and thinking more about others without even thinking about herself. She can see that Jeniferl is carrying too many responsibility even though its just their first day of of sixth year. So she wanted her to take a break in her own way, by touring her around Hogwarts.

They are already sixth year and too late for a tour around Hogwarts but Rowan thought that Jeni has been too occupied that she didn't have time to enjoy the beauty of the castle like how she sees it. Rowan tour her around, inform her about the facts and details like she's a Professor touring her first year students. Seeing this makes Jeniferl happy and, for a bit, forget her worries and enjoyed her time with Rowan.

"I can already see now that Rowan will become a wonderful Professor in the future"

Jeniferl thought as she felt a strange shiver when she passes the window...

phew, would have been better to make a comic of this one but this is already enough for me~ dammit i don't have the time to draw anymore (╥﹏╥) But finishing this lighten the weight of wips that i've been carrying in my head~~

Gotta clear my mind and prepare for board review and exam soon y'know... pray for me...

The scars on bens left eye are shaped like lightning and he has lightning magic. Foreshadowing? How exactly was he blinded in that eye?

Rakepick was able to deflect one of his spells right back at him.

"Don't fret, Mr. Copper. I'll put you out of your misery soon enough..."

As versatile as Vytarian Magic is, at the end of the day it’s still a matter of power vs. skill. Ben may have this crazy type of magic that defies the established norms of their standard magic, but Rakepick still has years of experience and she’s dangerous for a reason.

It's why despite Reina's own power, the woman still nearly succeeded in killing her back at the Portrait Vault. The power isn't a free pass to be running headfirst into any fight/battle that presents himself.

Ben was reckless and overconfident because he thought his powers alone would’ve been more than enough, so Rakepick made sure he learned the hard way before then trying to kill him.

Rowan and Merula having a chat

Rowan: ..... So.....

He turns his head over to face Merula who just neatly tucked the sleeping Alexandros in his bed.

Rowan: Do you mind.... Telling about this- whole situation you have? I thought you were rivals.

Merula scoffs and looks at him with a devious grin.

Merula: Well since you aren't smart enough to figure it out on your own I might as explain why you should be thanking me.

Merula poses herself into a self indulgent stance. Rowan is left in utter amazement, how can anyone be so full of themselves?

Merula: Me and my "rival" have an agreement that benefits both of us, I more than him of course.

Rowan: Right....

Rowan couldn't believe the words she was saying, she must be holding something against him right?

Merula: I'm sure you are aware of his nightmares, correct?

Rowan: It's hard to forget waking up because you experienced someone else's nightmares. Yeah, that was a rough second week at Hogwarts.

Merula: Well his dumb Legilimency brain won't create such situations as long as he- we- *cough* *cough* as long as I keep to our agreement and make sure he feels safe at night.

She is once again grinning with pride, it's almost radiating off of her.

Merula: Why wouldn't he feel safe with the most powerful witch at Hogwarts right next to him? The entire Ravenclaw dorm should be thanking me for preventing him from keeping you up at night.

Rowan: And what does he do in return?

Merula: Well aren't you nosey. But I don't see the harm in telling you. He in return let's me have a duel with him whenever I want, so that I may become even stronger!

Rowan snickers to himself.

Merula: What!-

She pauses, turning her head to make sure she hasn't woken Alexandros. He is sound asleep. She turns her head back towards Rowan.

Merula: what's so funny?

Rowan: It's nothing Merula, it's just that I never expected you to do something so nice.

Merula: You are lucky that I am not going to cast a jinx on you because it would wake him. So I'm going to take it as a compliment.

Rowan: You have grown as a person, I just never thought you could.

Merula: Breaking expectations is what I do best.

"She's back to her cocky self again, but at least she is being prideful about doing good." Rowan thought to himself.

Rowan: Thank you, Merula, for helping my best friend.

Rowan was quiet for a bit, reflecting on if he should say something to her.

Rowan: Merula I-

Merula: Don't you dare get all sentimental on me. I didn't come here to express my feelings. Ew.

Rowan: Okay I'll be quick then, I hate you and hope you fall off your broom during class. But if you truly do care for him, keep him safe at least.

Merula: Ew gross, you are spreading your weak morals onto me.

Rowan can't help but laugh and Merula replies with an aggressive but reassuring punch in the shoulder.

Merula: Well if you insist.

She rolls her eyes, and looks at Alexandros sleeping. She holds tightly onto the necklace he gave her. Rowan notices that she does this.

Merula: I'll keep him safe.

I can see Leo not understanding what Ben means by this.

In Leo’s mind, what happened in the cursed vault was barely anything. He already didn’t trust Rakepick so not even her betrayal shook him. He’s experienced far worse so it doesn’t even occur to him how bad that must have been for Ben. So he doesn’t know why Ben is “overreacting” abt the cursed vault, Leo may be a trained little war machine but he is still a boy, a traumatised kid who just isn’t thinking about Bens experience

We were racing around the quidditch pitch, as I tried to re-hone my skills and get used to controlling my broom with essentially one leg.

It was not easy, especially as Charlie “Speed Demon” Weasley continued to fly circles around me. “You sure?!”

Tightening my grip, I gritted my teeth and pushed myself to catch up with him. I managed to just trail him, and leaned over. “I’m very sure.” I whispered.
