I think it's funny how the narrator basically asks you, before choosing to sign or not Raphael's contract, who do you trust more: The Emperor or Raphael, the devil himself.

And, honestly? I have no reason to trust the Emperor more than I trust Raphael.

Because give it or take, Raphael has been more honest about his shit than the Emperor. The first time you meet him, he shows you he's a devil. He kept his part of the deal after we killed the orthon, and even now, he straight up tells us what he's going to use the crown for.

The Emperor, however, has been lying to us since the begining. Like, him lying about his identity was a HUGE no no for me. I "understand" that he didn't want to scares us due to being a mind flayer, but at that point in game (when he shows his true self), we've already met Omelumm, who is a mind flayer but who tried to help us. Also, his instance on the "eat this tadpole, embrace your powers" is very iffy to me cause like dude i'm not doing it. Like you already lied about your true identity, why should I trust you with this bullshit?

Also, since I'm comparing the Emperor to Omelumm, I might as well compare Raphael to the other devil who is out there offering deals: Mizora. Mizora lies, adds shit that only makes Wyll's life harder. We have every reason not to trust Mizora, beyond the fact that she's a devil (which, i'm not gonna lie, i feel like a reason there's such a push against raphael's deal is bc he is a devil and y'know how religion messes with that But anyways, i'm not gonna get into that).

The Emperor looks worse in comparison to Omelumm, but Raphael looks better in comparison to Mizora, is basically what i'm trying to get here.

Also also, if you talk with Korilla, she legit says that Raphael's a good boss, treats her better than a FREAKING GOD did. Like, honestly, I (and i really only mean I,me,myself) up until this point in the game have no freaking reason to not trust Raphael. Like, ffs, he didn't even ask for my soul in exchange.

Anyways, this is MY opinion, MY thoughts on the choice my character has done.

I haven't talked about it yet - but I was planning on making a post about it so thank you for bringing it up.

This is the scene in question:

Before that line with Annabeth, Reyna and Percy were complimenting each other as leaders. Remember they were both equals as praetors of Camp Jupiter? They were calling each other heroic in that "i'm humble, youre awesome" way.

And then Annabeth butts in and Reyna caves in to appease her by insulting Percy.

I find this really interesting because this isn't the first time that this has happened. Its a growing pattern.

Percy gets a female friend that respects him and treats him well/like an equal

Annabeth comes in, jealous/worried that the female character will 'steal' Percy away from her.

Annabeth befriends the female character.

The female character insults Percy to appease Annabeth.

We see this happen with Rachel after Percy/Annabeth get together. Before they got together, Rachel was kind to Percy? She listened, never called him stupid, always told him what she thought -> a trait Percy really values. After? She jumped into Annabeth's wagon and all that was gone. And then we don't really hear from her again.

Honestly my theory for Annabeth calling Percy stupid all the time is bc she's 1. frustrated that Percy can't read her mind (I know, unreasonable) and 2. out of insecurity because she knows that Percy is smarter than her - both at school and at battle strategy and she cannot handle that, so she puts him down and gets everyone around her to help with that to make herself look better/the uncontested smartest demigod.

That's just my theory tho. Still complying evidence for it.

Falling for you was an amazing fic. I read it awhile back - pulled an all nighter to finish it actually - and I enjoyed it.

coda (child of deaf adult) often speak sign as a first language and consider themselves as culturally deaf so a lot of them use big D only because they aren't hearing impaired in any sense

in general i think it's a word game that i dont take part in largely, i say deaf and i write deaf and i specify deaf community when i need to, specifically to avoid this confusion

Oh, I actually have an answer for that. A while ago, for fun, I came up with teams for all of them, with one rule being one legendary/mythical per Link. Here’s the list:

Wild: Milotic, Staraptor, Graveler, Luxray (the four champions), Metagross (guardians), and Miraidon (master cycle zero)

Time: Decidueye (ghost grass owl), Ninetails (Keaton), Rapidash (Epona), Trevenant (Great Deku Tree. Also ghost), Galvantula (gold skulltula), and Celebi (green time traveling fairy)

Sky: Sylveon (his feelings for Zelda), Drampa (the dragons), Excadrill (mogmas), Rotom (robots), Aegislash (Fi), and Ho-Oh (giant red bird)

Warrior: Incineroar (his cocky personality), Gallade (a chivalrous knight), Meowstic male (the scarf), Zoroark (Cia), Braixen (Lana), and Keldeo (a young one on a similar journey as him)

Wind: Gyrados (giant monster fish), Sharpedo (a nasty shark who was used by a pirate), Jumpluff (Koroks), Dragonite (Valoo), Tentacruel (big octos), and Lugia (deity of the sea who creates storms)

Twilight: Misdreavus (Midna), Mudsdale (Epona), dusk form Lycanroc (twilight wolf), Chandelure (poes), Gogoat (goats), and Zacian (dog with sword)

It was fun to come up with these teams! For the most part they were fairly easy to come up with. For Wind it was hard choosing between Lugia and Kyogre, but I eventually settled on the former.
