Homeroom Teacher Nedzu x Apprentices: how would Nedzu deal with Midoriya's spiraling mental health?
I'm not really sure. I don't think there's much more he can do except try to reach out to Gran Torino

AU where both Izuku and Bakugou are rejected from UA Hero Course.
And to make it juicy. The reason for the rejections is the suicide baiting incident being known by UA. While Bakugou is rejected for obvious reasons. Izuku is rejected for his ‘own safety’ and because they won’t trust his psyche went unscathed.
1- The thing about Bakugou is that he was not particularly well liked by his classmates at Aldera. Oh, he had friends, and no one was willing to stand up to him, but plenty of students had grudges about how he acted. They rolled their eyes when Bakugou went on a rant about being the only one who could make it to UA, or his lackeys hyped him up, but then they'd look away without a word when he caught them and glared. No one was going to say he wasn't powerful and couldn't do it, just like they weren't going to say Deku had any chance. Sometimes, capable people are also very annoying, and you just have to deal with that, so the kids did. And if a few were in a small group chat that would sneak pictures or videos to show the kids not in their class and complain, well, that's what the kids did. And then one day, one filmed the conversation after school, after Bakugou threw out the notebook, and posted it publicly, as well as in the chat.
2- nothing came of this. Izuku had either blocked or been blocked by a lot of his classmates online, and hadn't really bothered to look for most of them anyway, so neither he nor Bakugou are aware of the video. The sludge villain sort of happened an hour later, and that's what got the big media buzz- the news couldn't publish the names of the teens involved if they ever even had them, but locally, people at Aldera knew who the kids on tv were.
3- the next year, UA has its recommendation exams. Every student is meticulously background checked before even being accepted as an potential for the exam and interview. A couple weeks later, they have the standard exam. The background checks will happen after this- UA after all has a very prestigious image. Bakugou wasn't wrong that if he took his lackey's cigarette and UA found out, his chances would be gone. Unfortunately for him, the video was still online. Mostly forgotten about... Until it contained not one but two potential UA students.
4- Nedzu and the six hero course homeroom teachers are on the board of student admissions, but so are two others each from administration, public relations, the school board, and the heroics commission. The top fifty scorers are ruthlessly picked through. The video is watched. Some want to exclude Izuku, some Bakugou, some both. Nedzu would prefer to have them both enrolled in separate classes, but is outvoted. He doesn't warn the board this will mean All Might will not be staying on to teach - he really can't, without telling secrets, but he does warn All Might the next night, and gracefully accepts his resignation.
5- a week after the exams, acceptance and rejection letters are sent. These are simply written on paper. Apparently neither of them are a good fit for the school. No further reason is given. Bakugou spends one day in his room, quieter than ever, then rush applies to other schools. Shiketsu is supposed to be UA's equal. Perhaps their admissions process will be less rigid. Or perhaps his rise to number one is "supposed" to come from humble starts, and Aldera Middle School wasn't that, but some mid rank hero school is. Meanwhile, on the beach, All Might tells Izuku that he actually ended up with the most rescue points in the exam, and his score was high enough to place him in top ten... It was just the screenings afterwards that did it. Perhaps the school was concerned about his health, with him breaking nearly every limb. Or perhaps his incorrect quirk registration was a red flag- either way, it's things All Might blames himself for, Izuku is the one who passed the test, and with only a few hours of having OfA too. So All Might asks Izuku what he wants to do- try for another hero school nearby? Toshinori probably can't get a job there on short notice without being suspicious, but he'll work to train him every day after, and come up with some other excuse for why he's in the field less. Or, should he reach out to I-island? Toshinori's even willing to see about setting up a personal internship with himself or Gran Torino, though he really kinda hopes Izuku doesn't pick that one. Izuku bursts into tears and apologies, having only held them back this long out of shame, they hug, and Toshi tells Izuku to take his time deciding, it'll be all right, because Izuku is here and he has full faith in him, regardless of what UA admissions thinks.

Watch this cute cat and maybe answer my question?
Tumblr media
How would shinsou (and aizawa but mostly shinsou) react if he walked into class and was told the Hosu Vigilante was his new classmate?
I see that you perfectly know how to bribe me into immediately answering questions.
So, I assume we are talking about an Anyone AU where Nedzu finally managed to catch Izuku and to make him a student but warned the people Izuku had traumatized the most in UA.
Shinsou would immediately try to transfer into 1-B and so would Aizawa. Dealing with classmates who all have better quirks than him is one thing but going to class with the guy who picked a fight with both the Symbol of Peace and the Symbol of Evil at the same time, and who has expressed is discontentment at Shinsou pretending to be needing the help of Anyone? No, thank you. Aizawa doesn't only try to become the homeroom teacher of 1-B (he is willing to kick Vlad's ass to take his spot) but also asks to take his students with him, which would leave Izuku alone in 1-A.

For the 5 hc game, an AU where Izuku, on his first day at UA, makes everyone believe All Might is his dad, please!
Izuku knew the drill. Every new school year, he gets singled out for being Quirkless by the current homeschool teacher. It was like that during elementary. It was like that during middle school. It WILL be like so in high school. He hates seeing his mother get called by the principal whenever Izuku ‘fails’ a task that his homeroom teachers had assigned him to do. So this time, he asks All Might to be his primary contact, so that his mom wouldn’t be bothered again.
When All Might finds out why (and after sending Nedzu a quick text to handle the Aldera faculty), he says, “Young Izuku, you do know that you won’t be singled out for your lack of a Quirk anymore, right?”
“Oh yeah!” says Izuku. “Still, I look like someone who’s easy to pick on. Soooo… Just to be safe?”
Sure enough, Aizawa does his threats of expulsion thing and singles Izuku out during the ball throw. However, when Izuku ranked last after the test, and before Aizawa could announce that the whole thing was a ruse, a sick-of-it-all Izuku pinned Aizawa with a hard stare.
“If you expel me,” Izuku said. “My dad won’t be happy. And if my dad becomes unhappy, then I think Principal Nedzu won’t be happy either.”
Aizawa is used to students who try to leverage their parents’ influence, so thinking that Izuku is a spoiled brat, he internally decides to proceed with the expelling after all. But first, he decides to humor this spoiled kid for a little longer. “Yeah? And who might your father be?”
Izuku’s eyes flick to the side. “He’s standing right behind you.”
All Might, who was listening to this entire thing unfold, took about ten seconds total in deciding to fully back up his fake son’s claims about his parentage. The entirety of Class 1-A gasped as he reveals his presence. Aizawa realizes that Izuku is right in that Nedzu will lose it if he loses All Might as a faculty member. The next day, the entire school is talking about Izuku being All Might’s son.
Izuku and All Might keep up the act because they believe that it is the only thing dissuading Aizawa from expelling Izuku.

vice principal all for one au, ft. immortal nedzu, contract-type quirks with legal loopholes afo had not known he could get entangled in, and (of course) afohiko
tl;dr premise: Prior to Nana’s husband’s death, Nedzu manages to trap AfO in a Quirk-binding contract to be U.A.’s vice-principal as a ‘guiding hand to the future of society.’ However, the VP’s responsibilities are subject to Nedzu’s discretion, and Nedzu comes down HARD, effectively rendering AfO as nominally unpaid (he gets free room and board) window dressing.
A few years on, Nedzu hires Gran Torino with the ulterior motive of honey-trapping AfO into revealing the Break Out Scheme (Gran Torino has zero idea this is supposed to happen).
further details:
Nedzu knew Shinomori (4th) when he escaped from the laboratory to the woods; he agreed to watch over Banjo (5th) and after failing the first attempt to subdue AfO with En (6th), managed to ensnare AfO at the cost of En’s life (unbeknownst to Nana).
AfO initially thought this would provide ample opportunity to sabotage the future of one year’s worth of pro heroes. He is swiftly disillusioned - the students, faculty, and general administration of U.A. don’t respect any of his machinations or lessons. Trying to recruit for the League of Villains is a total lost cause, because Nedzu co-opts the name and applies it to some ridiculous after-school drama club.
What are his duties as VP? Meeting with parents and students (most of whom are obtuse and dismissive of him as VP). Planning emergency drills (which, to his chagrin, actually help the students). Doing Nedzu’s paperwork as Nedzu engineers U.A. into being the Most Pro Hero School in the country.
afohiko happens because Nedzu needs a new homeroom teacher for the Hero Course and he suspects AfO of scheming, but he’s too busy with the school’s re-accreditation process to investigate. Knowing from Recovery Girl of Gran Torino’s penchant for dating red flags in the making, Nedzu sets up a meet-cute (job interview) and waits for the dominos to fall.
Toshinori is Nana’s chosen successor, but neither of them know about All for One. He vanished sometime after En passed on OfA, and no amount of digging from either Nana or Sorahiko has unearthed information. What Toshinori does know, however, is that Gran Torino cannot be trusted in one-on-one conversations with Arrogantly Confident (with a Dose of Villainy) People. So he gives it his all - Plus Ultra! - to prevent Gran Torino from flirting with the VP.

Hi Barid! For the ask game, an AU where Uraraka doesn't make it into UA because Izuku's points were cancelled as the way he saved her was deemed "reckless", please.
The worse thing is, Izuku does still get in since after all, Nedzu isn't willing for All Might's successor to go elsewhere, and knows perfectly well that All Might will just decide to not teach afterall at UA, which would be a PR disaster for the school. This pisses off Aizawa, but he's basically told 'get over it' by Nedzu who is also a bit fed up with the expulsion stunts he keeps pulling.
Izuku is still told he got sixty rescue points. Gran is however called in by Nedzu to handle the apparent Quirk issues and Izuku is required to see Inui or another therapist over his complete lack of survival instinct.
Uraraka is heart broken to not get into UA, but is relieved to successfully pass Shiketsu exam, which happens two days after UA's. She's at first hopeful that maybe she'll see the nice green haired kid, but that has to wait until the Licensing Exams.
The kid who takes Uraraka's place in UA is Togeike Chikuchi, a dual Gen Ed-Heroics applicant. She otherwise would have been the kid who just barely missed getting into heroics (note: yes I know everyone uses Shinso but frankly he was such a noodle I doubt he got more than ten points max)
Both Izuku and Uraraka are delighted to see each other during the Licensing Exam (she and Inasa are the only Shiketsu First Years), and from different schools or not work together (which gets them some extra points). This time they make sure to exchange phone numbers.
Bonus: She still ends up Ryukyu's intern, after she decides to have a non-UA intern for once. Tsuyu however is not chosen as one in this world.
Bonus two: Aizawa actually loses his spot as a homeroom teacher after it becomes very clear he's super biased against Izuku, and Gran Torino both immediately noticed and immediately made an issue of it. Now on top of training Izuku personally, he's the 1-A homeroom teacher.

Shoutos 10 step plan for expulsion 👀
Interesting. Do tell more. And also may we have a teaser
-🍪
[Ask me about my WIPs]
AU tag here!
It's basically an AU where Shoto does not want to be a hero, was planning to go through UA and once he graduated (and as a legal adult) would disappear as an underground hero or something and be the biggest disappointment to his father.
That was until Aizawa threatened to expulse anyone who wasn't giving their all, and Shoto connected that if you get expelled from UA, your chances of becoming a hero gets very very low, and decides to do his best to get thrown out.
Aizawa didn't expect that, and due to Outside Pressure (Endeavour and Nedzu) cannot, actually, expel Shoto. This won't stop either of them from trying though.
It also involves Shoto & Shinsou friendship, as one wants out of the hero course while the other wants in.
I think there's some snippet in the tag but I'm still in love with that one:
Shouto stood in wait for his prey to appear. The precious intel gathered from his upperclassmen told him they should appear anytime soon now,
Right on time, they arrived. Shouto stood in front of them.
“How did you do it?” he asked without preamble.
“I’m sorry?” they answered, looking confused. Right, maybe his question wasn’t clear enough, Fuyumi kept insisting on the importance of conveying one point across the conversation.
“How did you make Eraserhead expels you?” he clarified. A weird look crossed his upperclassman’s face, but Shouto couldn’t identify it.
--
“Why do you hate me?”
“Because you got everything! A powerful quirk, a place in the hero course, and you’re just throwing it away as if it was nothing!”
“But I don’t want to be a hero”
“You gotta tell that to daddy dearest, clearly the school hasn’t received the memo.”
Ah, this makes sense. “So Endeavour is the problem.”
“What? No I didn’t say that.”
“No no you’re right, Endeavour is the problem.”
--
And on a more serious note:
Shouto didn’t want to be a hero. Or at least, he didn’t want to be the kind of hero that would matter to his father.
He wasn’t sure what, exactly, he wanted to be yet, but he knew for sure it wasn’t anything heroic.
He told as much during the interview of the recommendation exam for UA.
But maybe they misunderstood him, because, somehow, he still got a place within the school to his name.
But, well, he had kind of expected that. Thus why he had been training his skills during all those time to become an underground hero. If his father insisted to make him a hero, then he’d do everything in his power to foil his carefully crafted plan.
Hope for a different life had been drenched when he finally filled a notebook with plans to become the perfect hero his father would hate, involving surveys, studies and multiple diagrams.
But. That little flame he thought long extinguished suddenly fired up again once he met his homeroom teacher.
Yes… Maybe, finally, there would be someone able to hear him out when he says he doesn’t want to be a hero.
After all, you can’t become a hero if you get expelled from the hero course of the best school in Japan.

Ask game: Endeavour as Class 1-A’s homeroom teacher. It wasn’t his idea.
Turns out not reading the student files and then trying to expel All Might’s favorite student can piss off Nedzu quite a lot. Cue Aizawa's surprised pikachu face.
Enji gets called in due to the successful history he has in training interns and sidekicks. He would have refused, but the HPSC forced him to take it.
While he makes very competent training regimens for everyone in the class, he is noticeably harsher on Shoto. Izuku notices, and starts being a little shit to Enji; most notably, he calls all of his exercises into question at every opportunity.
Shoto reveals his backstory and his refusal to use his fire to Izuku because of that, and Izuku is resolved: the moment he gets Endeavor and Shoto alone, he's going to verbally eviscerate the two of them.
Bakugo doesn't get away with half the shit he did. The moment Enji learned about the Battle Trials, he put Bakugo on a personal watchlist and made it his personal mission to drill it in his head what Heroism as a job actually is.

Pro Hero Inko AU idea I came up with:
• Inko’s quirk is stronger than in canon, and she was an underground pro in her younger years
• Hisashi's death (or maybe he just left, idk) when Izuku was very young required her to retire, leaving behind a legacy of infamy among the undergrounders
• Very ruthless towards villains, especially when children are involved - often targets limbs or internal organs, and is fully willing to leave the more reprehensible villains maimed
• Comes out of retirement when Izuku starts UA to teach there, finally accepting a longstanding offer from Nedzu so she can keep an eye on Izuku (she figures even if her son doesn't get into the hero course, he's still likely to make it into gen ed, after all - she knows Izuku is one smart cookie)
• Her costume has a helmet/mask and she keeps her hero and civilian lives very very separate, so Izuku has no idea it's her (she's his homeroom teacher for extra humor)
• All he knows is "Pneuma-sensei" (or whatever her hero name is) is a vicious, no-nonsense lady and often complains about her strict teaching to his mom (to her amusement)

Transfer Request
Transfer Request by Kyon2261
After a moment, Nezu took his seat, placing his tiny paws on the knees of his custom-tailored suit. “So, Mr. Midoriya, perhaps you'd be so kind as to tell us what this is about. Although on rare occasions, students request meetings with me, this is the first time one has requested the presence of two teachers for the meeting.”
Izuku nodded. “I'm sorry for the inconvenience, Principal, but I wanted to give this to you in person. Since Mr. Aizawa and All Might are my homeroom and heroics course teachers, respectively, I felt it would be best if they were here.” Izuku stood and handed Nezu a piece of paper. Despite his nervousness, somehow his hand remained steady.
Nezu's eyebrows shot up. “Is this…?”
“Yes, sir,” Izuku said. “That is my request to transfer. I apologize that I had to design the form myself, since the school doesn't appear to have an official form.”

For the 5 hcs, au where fuyumi, manual, gran torino, and hawks all teach at ua. Bonus if nedzu teaches a homeroom or something
Can't help but think about something my coworkers discussed this week: the difference between teachers who had to take some kind of child psych course, and the teachers who didn't.
1- Fuyumi is a first year teacher who got her degree in education and licence to teach the traditional way, paying for those classes with the money she made as a hero part time. She didn't believe in only trying halfway to be a teacher just because it was at a hero school. (Being a teacher was her real dream. A hero teacher was a compromise with her father's expectations.) Manual went through a teaching program and started a couple years ago, so he's got a little more experience than her and almost as much training. Hawks went through a brief, truncated program to teach, and Gran Torino just... Got hired by Nedzu some time ago, no one questions his qualifications but honestly everyone should.
2- as teachers with the most experience, Torino and Manual have hero homerooms. Torino was given 1A this year to watch out for All Might's successor, and 2A is just glad he didn't move up with them. Manual has 1B and is not used to being on the same grade team as Torino- nor to running a rivalry with him but when Torino starts it, you kinda have to get with it or get run over.
3- Fuyumi has a homeroom 1C, and takes a role similar to Midnight's- she teaches a lot about image and how to project what is the best for you, how to pick agencies and the strategy for communicating with them. She's also given announcer duties at the SF as a notable hero, but not too popular on her own to run the third year stage instead. She's honestly glad for her homeroom, it's a bit like the normal teaching gig, and she gets to travel to work and back home with Shoto every morning.
4- Hawks honestly wanted a lot of the job Fuyumi got, but instead teaches Rescue more than anything else. He was sent to UA to be the Commission's eyes. Nedzu is aware, and that's why he's kept a bit away from the main campus most of the time, and why he was picked to announce the third year stage at the SF.
5- All Might's favorite fellow teacher is Manual, because he's terrified of Torino, feels bad relying on young Hawks, and as helpful as Fuyumi is, it's her first year too. Manual can be a great teacher mentor though, reviewing his lesson plans for the first years with a careful eye! (And honestly, a pale face almost passed out from the compliment.)

AU where Izuku gets expelled and keeps going to UA. However, after the USJ Aizawa, fresh off his head injury, just assumes he reenrolled Izuku and is confused when the paperwork doesn’t reflect that.
How do you like monstrous misunderstandings?
1 - After being expelled, Izuku did the only reasonable thing to do and pretended that this had never happened and hid for two days every time Aizawa was around while he kept going to class. After the USJ, Aizawa didn't react when he saw him so he quickly guessed that there was some head injury going on helping his homeroom teacher that he has expelled Izuku.
2 - No one is allowed to help Aizawa remember that Izuku was expelled. No one. I do not know what Izuku did but everyone in 1-A is helping him pulled it off and even the UA staff doesn't dare to bring it up to Aizawa, even though most of the adults know that Aizawa would reenroll him.
3 - Because of that, every time Aizawa mentions that there is some missing paperwork for a student, he gets very concerned glances for his coworkers (because they are scared to anger the green gremlin). Aizawa, who is hiding that he escaped the hospital even though his doctor had ordered bed rest for a month, always drops the subject quickly so the other teachers won't suspect that something is wrong with him. (Nevermind the fact that he is covered in bandage and OBVIOUSLY FORGOT THAT HE HAD EXPELLED A WHOLE STUDENT).
4 - So Aizawa has a student in his class no one acknowledges (in his presence). His coworkers always make face every time the USJ is mentioned. Again, things get VERY STRANGE every time he tries to mention Midoriya as still being in his class. So he makes the next logical leap: Midoriya Izuku died at the USJ and Aizawa is the only one who can see that ghost.
5 - The rest of the AU is Aizawa subtly trying to talk to Izuku and to apologize for not protecting him and asking him how he can make him be at peace while Izuku is very sus of this whole thing and 100% believing that Aizawa is suspecting that Izuku was expelled and pulling a con. Nedzu is aware of the whole thing and finds it hilarious.

Ok i have an aideku time travel au in the works that i want to tell u about!!! 14 yo izuku is walking to the store w inko when he gets hit with a quirk that sends him back to the day he was born. Through a series of circumstances, he meets 15 yo aizawa and they train together for the ua entrance exams- izuku has a baseline level of fitness and martial arts training here they work on developing together. Neither of them get in and go to gen-ed instead, but aizawa catches the eye of one of the homeroom teachers and izuku catches the eye of nedzu, current strategy teacher at UA and next in line to be principal.
Time passes, the two transfer to the hero course and become even closer, izuku is jealous when aizawa dates mic for a little while, and aizawa izuku when the latter has a thing with tensei, though neither of them realize why. Then the two get assigned onto a case with a quirk-activating toxin thats causing meyhem and is worrying officials. They work together, realize their feelings, and become disgustingly domestic and also UA teachers as the case goes cold.
On the flipside, at the moment where izuku was hit with the quirk, a light engulfs him and then breaks to reveal 28 yo izuku, and, gasp, the time travel quirk accident was caused by the toxin! Izuku catches the culprit, and suddenly this case they haven't had any lead on in two years is busted open again. Now, izuku has to deal with seeing his mother for the first time in 14 years and seeing his father (who is a pro who was on a confidential mission in america) in more like 17 as a 28 year old, while they never got to see him grow up from a teenager, all while dealing with his multiple jobs.
Some notes!
-izukus hero name is fractal, because hes quirkless so "infinite potential"
-izuku and shouta have three cats, all have quirks
-izuku is secretly being groomed to be the next principal after nedzu! Baby will get powrr
-aizawa is slightly less of a hardass because of izukus presence. Hes still really tough, but hes not adverse to showing emotion
Oooooohhhhh I hope you’ll tag me or link me when you get this up and going!!

Oh my god, in the vice principal au, when/if nedzu sees that afo is interested in sorahiko. the teasing. the amount of teasing him over his lil crush OH MY G0D
that's nedzu's whole PLAN, he's seeing it come to FRUITION (emphasis on FRUIT)
like, i still don't have anything concrete in plot but let's break it down
Nedzu needs two things: a new homeroom teacher for the flagship pro-hero program, and a person who can distract his scheming vice-principal from his latest attempt to break the Quirk contract. unbeknownst to Gran Torino, he is the perfect candidate (not in the least owing to his dating history).
AfO is interested in Gran Torino. Then he's attracted. With the No Workplace Romance policy in U.A., AfO is thoroughly distracted from his OG scheme and focuses on lobbying Nedzu to lift the policy. Part of his strategy is to matchmake whatever staff he can.
Nedzu clocks what AfO's goal is, and wonders if it's better to dangle the possibility of lifting the policy (as AfO is obligated to follow Nedzu's rule, and I mean OBLIGATED, AfOhiko slow burns for two long years) or give in to the needs of his faculty. Spoilers, he'll do the latter. AfO's been so dedicated, trying to strengthen the bonds between his colleagues.
Nedzu: Hm. You must really like our Gran Torino, if you still want the policy dropped. How long's it been since you two met? Six months? A year?
AfO, dying internally of being cockblocked for however long before Sorahiko even showed up: Two. Two years.
and somewhere far away, Gran Torino is thinking, 'Man, what gives?? VP's been blowing hot and cold for two years, like, we've been trapped in supply closets, partnered in overseeing training exercises, and nearly sharing kisses... when do we officially date?'

Welcome to Homeroom by DragonflyxParodies
“I can't just let you poach all of my teachers!”
“We don't want all your teachers, just the good ones!” xxx Alternatively; upon graduation, UA's most infamous class decides to stick together. If only their favorite mentors would get the memo, opening an agency would be so much easier.
