And just like that...
With ten student characters and two members of faculty, we are officially open!
For organizational purposes, we're going to say that the first day of activity is September 1st, a.k.a. four days from now. We'll just freeze time and make September 1st last all the way through to the second, which is when everything will happen in real-time.
Essentially, we can start writing and interacting on the dash now, but in the first, it's September 1st until September 2nd when 'real-time' kicks in. The first day of term should come along with more than four days' worth of writing material anyway, so I think it works out that way! I'm happy to explain this further if there's any confusion, though.
I've got plenty of in-game events in the works, like monthly visits to Hogsmeade, the Yule Ball, etc., so stay tuned for those.
Let the game begin!
*All this said, the more the merrier - so please, still send those applications in! We'd love as many writers and characters as possible!

SUSAN BONES is OPEN!
The year is 2023, and the Second Wizarding War has ended disastrously a year prior.
The small glimmer of hope that broke through the smoke with the miraculous return of Harry Potter from the dead was stamped out in an instant. The Dark Lord triumphed in the duel against the Boy Who Lived, but instead of finishing him off, a deal was made.
One of Voldemort’s Death Eaters, Julius Rookwood, the nephew of one of his fallen followers, discovered the Resurrection Stone in the Forbidden Forest after Harry dropped it on his way to what he thought was his death. Julius presented it to Voldemort, who, in turn, brought it to the table as a bartering chip to kick off his regime.
The deal went as follows; in exchange for the resurrection of the recently fallen, Harry would surrender and make the Unbreakable Vow not to retaliate again. Harry thought of the Weasleys, of Fred, of Cedric, of Sirius, of Teddy Lupin, who had just been condemned to an orphaned beginning as he had. His mind was made up. He made the vow that ended the war.
The Dark Lord had won.

Hannah: Ciara captured everything I wanted Claudette to be and then some, her depiction of her is exactly how I see claudette and I couldn't ask for anything better and honestly I don't think anyone could ever beat it. The answers were wonderful, thoughtful and incitful but that sample was were the real magic shined for me. The three different scenarios or what had changed Claudette were simple moments, but gave a powerful insight into who Claude is and I loved the interactions between all of them it was a joy to read, big big fan
Kat: I loved the detail in the app, the amortentia was so beautiful and I love all the little details that link to Claudette's life and very pivitol moments. I absloutely loved the boggart as well, the shift from Eva to Claudette's mother ans suddenly back to Eva again was inspired and really gave an insight into Claudette's feelings on her relationship with both women. That sample was really something, I love how three key moments of her life were selected that showed her at various stages and the final one where she cried for Amelia and what she'd lost really made me EMO. Claudette x Xander is such an interesting dynamic and I am excited to see that play out as well as Claudette x Eva as just from that app alone we're in for a huge huge treat

THE BOY WHO LIVED
Four champions had entered into the final task of the Triwizard Tournament but only two had reached the cup, one quicker than the other. Once Harry Potter’s hand touched the cup, he vanished, leaving Cedric Diggory alone at the maze’s center. In an instant, fate had changed. Seventeen minutes after that, history had been marked with a single thud.
There, lying at the center of the cleared-out arena was The Boy Who Lived. Dead.
The crowd had watched on in shock; in ways, they still do. Months may have passed, a new year at Hogwarts has begun, but it doesn’t quite feel the same. Beyond the ever-present feeling of unease set in the pit of many a students' stomach, certain gaps just feel larger. Whether a false sense of hope or a need for self-suffering, eyes drift continuously towards the spots where Potter once was: tucked between his two best friends, soaring above the quidditch pitch in pursuit of a snitch, the empty bed in their dormitory. A glimpse of glasses, a spot of dark unruly hair… but no Chosen One. Not anymore.
Unless that is, you consider another boy fitting of the prophecy hidden away in the Department of Mysteries. A boy that might just be sitting next to that vacant spot at the table.

TLDR: fideliushqs is an aged up, appless, modern golden trio rp set in an alternate universe where harry potter did not survive at the end of the triwizard tournament. we start where the fifth book would have began, with a new school year and voldemort gaining power in the shadows. as the wizarding world grieves the loss of their boy who lived, they may be overlooking their true chosen one.
