Their empathy and ability to look at things from different perspectives is what sets them apart, and they want to be set apart, because they feel alone, and don't wanna pretend they your friend if they ain't. They are extremely creative to a fault, and a lot of people would rather make fun of their works then celebrate how special it is. Until it is widely acknowledged how gifted they are, then everyone will switch up around them. what do you do for a living? (/job?) I am currently in a crisis and need some guidance. I look up to you a lot, I love your blog, we have the same passions for poetry and writing and music, even daredevil! My crisis is that I dont know what to do. In university I take classes but I dont know what I want to be. My art and writing feel pointless sometimes. All the jobs i want to do I know im not skilled enough to achieve or itd be very hard to get by. If you dont mind giving out advice... please help! ❤

hi anon <3 i think that figuring out what we're supposed to do for a living often gets tied to the idea that we're supposed to find that one niche in the world where we fit, where we're meant to be and where we're meant to contribute; where we're meant to shine, and find deep meaning in our own lives. and maybe that does happen for some people. but in reality i think we're all capable of doing many different things, and finding purpose in many different things. and in working toward many different skillsets we acquire different skillsets that apply to many other types of work.

and i don't think anything is ever set in stone. i got my undergrad & grad degrees in music, and then i found that i didn't have it in me to be a part of that world anymore. and i felt that i had no meaning in my life without it. i was No One without music, i had no identity outside of my voice—despite the deep sense of purpose and fate, even, that i felt for my life up until that moment in music, in singing, in acting. up until that moment i knew in my bones my purpose in life. and then the ground was swept out from under me. it didn't matter that i had known with certainty what my life was supposed to be because it wasn't that any longer. and i realized that i could never again tie my identity to my art, to my music, to my writing, to my job. my voice has a purpose not because it must be enough to sustain me financially or because enough people have validated my talent but because it brings me joy. i came back to music because singing brought me joy again; i thought i would never feel that again.

something i have learned through this is 1) music, like most other art forms, is not a meritocracy; there is no such thing as "you are an excellent [artist/singer/writer] and therefore you will have the career owed to you" because so much more than merit and hard work go into careers like this. it takes not only talent and work ethic but circumstance and luck and wealth. lessons cost money, coachings costs money, auditions cost money, applications cost money, travel costs money, wardrobe costs money. 2) the process is not the career. i love to practice, i love to learn music, i love to get into character, and to engage with my colleagues in rehearsal rooms and onstage. i don't love the abuse thrown at singers from directors and teachers and coaches, i don't love auditions, i don’t love the unpredictability of gig work and contract work, i don't love the expendable lens through which singers are viewed by the industry. i've come back to music but my goals have shifted.

all that to say, i don't think we have to know what we want to be. we don't have to want to be anything. our lives have deep meaning whether we have "successful" careers or careers that just pay the bills while we continue to pursue our creative loves. i wouldn't place too much importance on needing to find what you are supposed to be because you will become who you are supposed to be regardless. it is never a waste to pursue something we love, and we will acquire and internalize new skills in any field that we can apply to other fields. and maybe your interests will dramatically shift, or maybe not. i think it's very natural to have vocational shifts throughout our lives, and it's not indicative of failure. art that is made personally or professionally doesn't have more or less value based on its financial profit. the money i make from singing isn't enough to sustain me—i have to do other self-employment gigs to make up the difference. most artists do. but i don't regret the time and the heart i have invested in music, and i am sustained through the work i put into it, and sustained by the relationships and friendships that i have developed through it.

i send you my whole heart. i know how it feels to look at the future and not know what you're supposed to do with your one, precious life. sometimes we have to live in the uncertainty and know that it won't be like that forever. on the flip side, the moments of certainty won't last forever either. and in-between there is all the living we do. i promise you're not alone in this <3

i honestly feel like i was born in the wrong era. either im too old for something or someone or im past the point of being able to achieve something. then when looking at how all these kpop groups are so young yet successful and talented just makes me question why i didnt do something like that.

we didnt have kpop in my school time but why couldnt i have just picked something and stuck with it? on top of it i believe im never going to fit anyones ideal type so whats the point in existing cause no one gonna truly get to know me.

unless i can somehow pass away before im 50 then i dont have to continue to think about all this shit and how i shouldve done better or i shouldve picked such and such a career and i shouldve tried to put myself out there more but in my age theres really nothing out there to seek when its all handed to younger generations.

and i would want to have my own success based on my own effort but have fallen short in so many ways its impossible to not find something i could do about it bc im too far behind and it does get to a point where you think that it is too late bc in order to gain any talent you have to have done it from a young age.

i dont want to rely on someone else to do it for me but i couldnt do it myself due to personal situations. yet i feel like thats an excuse cause once again all these young idols seem to be ro have something about them that makes their life a success. like yes the end inudstry is far from perfect but thats what people have been seeking themselves so it cant all be that bad all the time for them if these groups including older age groups have went out got success and even they get all the benefits of the super rich lifestyle but at the same time money doesnt bring true happiness and it seems a very shallow way they live sometimes, they have a supply and demand contract with their audiences and rely so much on social media which although i use it im not attached to it and i cant relate to obsessing over latest dance trend. i also want to stop the woe is me narrative but its really fucking hard to not feel so ashamed, behind or negative about things.

the most advice people gove is bog standard like if ur bored, go out more but its hard not to feel left out, if ur loney go find someone, if u dont have an income go get a job its literally never that simple. even in education you still have to pay for it as an adult meaning you have to already have a job but even then theres still means of you getting misjudged for your age and classmates have already done that to me before it wasnt that fun. its like saying to someone depressed to go take medicine to take away the feeling.

idk what im doing anymore besides waiting to randomly pass away so i can be done with this shite. sorry for ranting so much but idk who else to speak too bc no one else never seems to understand my frustrations with the way things have panned out.

Comparing yourself to others people archievement is the worst thing you can do. because we are all different, we all go through different shits (just like you rightfully said) and not all of us have the same opportunities presented. beating yourself up for that is a cruel thing to do wishing yourself.

It does also seem like you struggle a lot with self worth, self love and that is probably because never once someone complimented you for the things that you have achieve (to this point were you believe you havent achieved anything).

Love, hatred that you carry is a motivator, and you need to accept one thing. as long as you are breathing nothing is to late to archive, as long as you are here you should be kinder to yourself. because why are you comparing yourself to idols? I often say this here but when was it the last time you appreciated life? when was the last time you went out, stared at the ocean, at the night sky, breathed into a forest, when was the last time you felt a sense of peace? seek that out. dwelling on what we could have been is cruel hun, and not helping you in any kind <3

its okay to rant, dont worry, I hope I dont sound to harsh either, its just that I pains me seeing you guys going through so much suffering when I promise you all, darkness cannot live without light. just find your way back to it, often you dont need a big reason. sometimes the most tiny thing can be a source of happiness, seek yours !

I just rewatched the scene where Crow and Zira dance and it finally clicked that they are having two entirely different conversations while they dance. Neither is listening or responding to the other. They have different "exactlys". I knew this in theory but rewatching it and seeing the way they fill in their own blanks is fascinating.

This is how the conversation went to Crowley.

C: "You are playing puppets with the humans, please stop. Making it rain to see if it will make them talk is relatively harmless in terms of their free will, but It is going too far to control them without their consent or knowledge. Additionally, I'm scared for us and we're in immediate danger. Again, please stop being creepy, so we can make a plan together on the next step for gabriel. I need your help and your behaviour is adding to my anxiety."

What he heard in Aziraphale's answers and actions: No thanks im too happy playing god, and you dont know what youre talking about. By the way I kept this skill of being the only angel who is able to dance a complete secret from you for 200 years, betraying your trust just a bit more. I'm also going to stand up for Gabriel because I'm brainwashed by heaven still and don't really care to ask about the abuse he did against you or the murder threat to the person you love most dearly in the world. Your feelings about that don't matter as long as I can do what I want right now.

And this is how the conversation went to Aziraphale.

C: I've been very stressed over everything lately and am venting this to you.

I am prejudiced against heaven and dont care what happens to an angel like you in their time of need. I actively wish him harm, despite knowing your feelings, which aren't important to me. I'm also going to ignore all of the effort you are currently putting in.

They dont LISTEN because theyre so hellbent on being heard themselves. How about u try to change your solo perspective that makes u look at jimin like a victim all the time? Jimin GOT promotions, and a big one, money related. He had 2 mv that took a lot of budget and preparations: the 2 mv needed sets to be created, and SMFPT2 set was HUGE. He promoted at korean music shows, which too took a lot of money to build those giant sets. Yes, he did have a short promotion period, for reasons we dont know but my guess is that Suga needed to do his comeback because of the tour and i hate the person who came up with those dates but ok... We all know Face promotions got some biiiig problems and im still mad about it, we just dont know what really happened, but i'm sure jimin would fight back if he thought he was being mistreated. But to say that jm got zero promotions... nah

Face, Like Crazy and Seven r different projects, with different visions and different goals. Jimin wanted to tell his story of when he was going through a hard time, and he wanted to do it in korean, promoting more in Korea, with songs that, in the end, only him and people close to him know the meaning. Yet, he did AMAZING and made history (is still making). It seems to me that the #1 on hot100 was unexpected to the company and even jm, but yet they did provided to us 2 versions of Like Crazy, one of them being an eng. ver, and promoted at Jimmy Fallon... So maybe they still hoped that the song would do well internationally? (pdogg tho... he just KNEW face would be massive and destroy kpop). But Jungkook... i think that, for a long time now, he aims to achieve western recognition, way more than jm, and thats ok. So Seven obviously is a song to the US market, and all of us know that. The song is in english, is very pop, written and produced by an american guy that is responsable to other huge hits. It is made to be stuck in our heads, not to make us think about deep things. It is breaking and will break so many records just like LC, but the difference is that the success is THE GOAL (remember all of that Scooter posts on his ig?). Jimin wanted to tell his truth with Face, Jk wants to be closer to being a big pop star with Seven. So, of course Seven would get a different type of promotion.

And btw, just because the song is doing really good and is aiming to the US market, doesnt mean it is by having deals and paying for playing. Its the Jeon Jungkook, of BTS, we are talking about. Jk seems very happy and jimin seems happy for him. I dont think jimin would support jk if he thought he was doing wrong. He didnt post anything, but he did not post about L&R and Dreamers too. He supported jk with Dreamers by posting about his presentation at Qatar, and now he supported seven by going all the way to NYC to be with him.

All of this to say: Jimin is not a victim, he is a badass and he knows how to stand up for himself. When will you come out as a solo, btw? its getting old...

here is what happened in miracle mask, to me.

randall is not jealous about his high school girlfriend i genuinely dont think he was that in love with her judging by the amount of status and pressure to marry both of them had like. randall lamented how she wouldnt support him like his dad like i dont think they would have been very happy together ignoring the fact they were teenagers.

i DO think he would still be a terrorist about everyone forgetting about him. but over "stealing his love" he doesnt care he hasnt thought about angela in 18 years. but something intrinsic to his character is wanting to be noticed and acknowledged for his achievements so realizing he had been "wasting time" for so long and hearing about what he used to do/what he did accomplish before he lost it i think he would be pretty upset about that. combined with just being overwhelmed with all the (manipulated) regained memories. yeah i think he would be pretty hurt and do all that.

henry would probably stay and establish monte dor because i do think his "loyalty" is true but its not very heartwarming to me. i think a large part of it is from being raised in an environment where he was always a subordinate made to serve randall he probably genuinely believes its his main purpose. and thats not a "magic of loyalty and friendship" moment to me its kind of tragic. not to mention randalls parents were still alive and given the fact he is still looking after mrs ascot 18 years later i think he held an obligation to the entire family. its also kind of poetic to me that he grew up to be the wealthy and successful successor of the ascot fortune that mr ascot wanted randall to be, coupled with how randall felt like his dad liked henry more than him, its all kind of twisted. and i do think randall would be kind of enraged seeing this.

angela did not lavender marry henry she left the town like hershel did for very similar reasons. the minute mg showed up henry probably contacted her first and didn't bother to contact hershel because he held a grudge against him even before randall died. angela would come to monte dor to observe the situation and go oh hes setting people on fire? and hes speaking in riddles? i think thats randall. have you talked to hershel about this? do you know hes a famous archaeologist who solves village-wide mysteries now? what do you mean you haven't told hershel? im telling hershel.

i wouldnt change anything about how hershel handled it up to mg because i think its beautiful and perfect yeah he would be so wracked with guilt he'd dedicate the rest of his life to his best friend and become him yeah mhm. but i think at the end of it all. randall would feel the strongest connection with him not henry and angela. because hershel was the guy who i think treated him best and respected his legacy, in randalls eyes, after he died... would randall hold a level of resentment toward hershel oh absolutely. but i think most of randalls rage comes from people forgetting him. he has a whole vengeful ghost/angel thing going on. and hershel "every puzzle has an answer" "critical thinking is the key to success" layton like very obviously did not forget him

So hi, im roman, FINALLY todays video id like to show you the secret recipe how i made ecoprint on fabric, how i create a beautifull print on it, a secret why and how the leave or the flower leave their shape beautifully, this is base on my exploration, maybe the weather, ph level of water and so many factor will affect the result, but you can try this recipe.

This video is maybe long, but i dont want to cut the video so i will show you every step of the process of the textile making.

Step by step :

1. Choose the best fabric/materials

2. Clean the fabric (Scouring), i have 2 ways to clean deeply the fabric (2 method)

3. Preparing the fabric (Mordanting), 2 step to make your fabric is ready to dye.

4. Selection of the plants.

5. Bundles and Steam Technique.

6. I love you.

1. Fabric / Materials

The first is the most important before you making natural dyes, selection of fabric or material, because we work on natural dyes, natural things, so make sure the fabric that u ll be use is from nature also, like linen, cotton, or maybe silk.

2. Scouring

The second, is to scoured the fabric, what is scouring means? Scouring refers to thoroughly washing or deep cleaning the fabric, to remove residue or residual chemicals on the cloth from the factory when fabric making.

This is one factor of success in achieving strong color on natural dyes, is to start with completely clean fabric. Does this mean fabric washed in washing machine? No! We think the washer gets our clothes totally clean but it honestly does not. That is why, to get a good even coverage with your dyes, it is very important that you deep clean your cellulose fabric such as cotton, linen, bamboo, or maybe silk.

For me, this is my method, i have 2 ways to scour the fabric, the first is boil the fabric on hot water with some soda ash about 20 minutes, or if you dont have a soda ash you can use any detergent, but i recomend a soda ash and TRO (Turkish Red Oil). Boil for 20 minutes and ready for the next step, but if you patient enoght i have another tips, another methos, that is leave your fabric on soda ash mix with water for about a night or a couple night, until the fabric is clean and dry it.

3. Mordant

The 3rd step, next for this step is to mordant the fabric, what is mordant means? Mordant is like to prepare your fabric for natural dyes, mordanting process make your fabric good enought to sticking the tanin (the substance in plants that produces color/natural dyes) from leaves and flower. More rich the tannins on a plant, more strong the color will be.

There is 2 step of mordanting the fabric,

Mordant First step, recipe (you can re-adjust composition) :

Aluminium Sulfate (Tawas)

Iron Sulfate (Tunjung)

Baking Soda

Vinegar

Mix all the ingredients with water

Dry the fabric.

Note : be careful with fragile fabric like silk, dont add too much recipe

Mordant Second step, recipe :

Calcium Carbonate (lime betle/kapur sirih)

Mix with water

Ready to print or you can dry it and keep for print when you need. (Make sure make it wet again the fabric before you print)

More rich the tannin on a plant, more strong the color will be.

Bidens pilosa (Dom dom an/babadotan)

i will say however that after reading the manga i need to start putting more respect on bon's name because he's like so ??? i dont even know how to describe him he's so !!!! ok i will start with smart even though i don't think smart does him justice (under a readmore bc i start getting rambly)

like bon has an incredible amount of discipline and talent? like my boy memorizes arias in no time flat? like during the kyoto arc his dad is on death's door, he's resolving some internal trauma himself, and yet he's able to memorize a (idk what its called right now the words escape me so im putting a loanword here) sutra that he's not aware of? like multi-tasking king here. during that game with lewin he had memorized other world language verses to summon certain demons? lewin didn't even expect him to know those summon chants and yes he ended up flubbing a bit towards the end but that's just a character flaw he has (known to not always see the full picture during situations). he's a history freak. he has such a clear grasp on topics that he's able to teach them to his classmates (good teacher). he wrote that report for lighting on the train while some sort of catastrophe was going on in japan. this boy is so efficient. OH YEAH I FORGOT BUT HE WAS GOING TO DRAGOON CLASSES TO MEISTER IN THAT even though it's mentioned to be difficult to be an aria and dragoon.

ANYWAYS IM JUST SAYING that ryuji is like....it's like he's a master at focusing. not only does he have this insane amount of brain power, but he is also able to stay calm during it. like his brain is able to move and maintain focus stressful situations.

also the biggest thing i want to say is that, ryuji is driven to be this disciplined because he wants to help others. a lot of his character ambitions are externally focused, due to this heavy sense of responsibility he feels for everyone around him (since his social network is very large and he is the inheritor of the myodha and also he is the bon LOL). bon maintains this level of discipline because he's doing what he thinks is right or admirable for the sake of others.

and i know yukio is here in universe achieving more (being an exorcist with two declared meisiters [and probably a third or fourth], also like the school valedictorian, a teacher, and school commitee) BUT THE KEY DIFFERENCE is that yukio is doing this all out of a spite due to his self-inflicted superiority complex. like yukio's only doing this because he HAS to prove to himself that he's the best/a winner so he takes on any sort of responsibility to appear like a normal high functioning person in society despite being a mental trainwreck.

i fully believe that if yukio saw a therapist he would not be anywhere near this level ToT and im saying this outta love <3 yes yukio is chasing after father fujimoto and rin, but i feel like it's because he fundamentally dislikes his personality and temperament (something he can't change) and wishes it was more like theirs because he really really admires that.

i think Bon is the sort of prodigy he wants to be (when it comes to outside successes) and you could insert a narrative here between the two of them. like if yukio was just a student in class, he would be competing with bon for the spot of top dog, or he would see bon as competition and as someone to beat (yukio would be looking at the top scores and be number one but then see bon at number idk 2 or 3 and ball his hand in a fist and go "suguro..." like timmy turner's dad saying dinkleburg qwkdsakljkj). meanwhile bon would be like "yeah im nothing compared to yukio tho that guy's a beast. i admire him tho"

tdlr:

bon is just as capable as yukio (and could be a second yukio if yukio didn't have trauma and such a large inferiority complex). bon is able to achieve all this success because he's very altruistic, while yukio is able to achieve all this because he's extremely self-absorbed and egocentric. also i love bon and think he's a very special boy. a very mary sue-esque character (joking but also not).

this might sound incredibly weird/silly but i kind of wish the eras tour wasnt as big as it is?? like i love taylor and im glad she’s being so successful for so long but its kind of annoying to see people use it as a trend for clicks. like random baseball teams being asked what their favorite taylor song is and 95% of them saying love story or shake it off, brands saying “in my __ era” and shit like that. yesterday i saw some random tiktok influencer getting ready for the eras tour and she got floor seats from her mother and a limo to the concert (which is exciting!!!!) but then this girl said she wasnt really a fan of taylor. like people from high school who used to bully me for liking her are posting and freaking about speak now tv when back in the day they made fun of me for liking THAT SAME ALBUM. i want taylor to have as much success as possible because i love her but at the same time everyone is annoying me. anyway, sorry for using your ask box to vent you dont need to post this dhfhshd

no i totally get how u feel! its such a complicated feeling because on one hand youre proud of her and everything she achieves and of course she deserves everything she has but on the other hand its hard to share her highs with people who weren't around for the lows :/

last song i heard: fodder for the elder gods by creature feature atm of writing this. been listening to creature feature way more cuz of like, you know, farsang, and they make halloween songs so i swear before this ive been listening to the ones about being reanimated and spirits and stuff like that.

fav color: baby pink for suuuure. i also love yellow + i love it on items but the color itself? baby pink. soooo sooo pleasing to the eyes. i feel like one of those prisoners. like you know how they kept painting like those walls pink cuz like it made them calm or something? and it turned out to be false i think? but its like something true to me i guess.

last watched series: no way i dont remember anything. im like a movie girl i havent watched series . umm . okay ! i havent watched anything since succession ended ! yeah, thats my last one. i really liked that though

last thing i read: this compilation of franz kafka's diaries + letters published in ummm.... 1983? its real fun actually ive been getting reading reccs from the guy himself + its just real interesting to see what he was thinking and stuff like that.

current obsession: uh, i dont think i have any. like, genuinely. um, been wanting to watch a few movies here and there and being excited for it, but anything concrete that would be "obsessive" ... nothing. im as empty as a ceramic plate

something im looking forward to: finally eating solid food after crashing my insides into bits :') its fine im just regelated to baby food for a while now and now im aching for like, soup, you know? like i want it. well, soup is not the most "solid" food but the most heartwarming one like i think it would fix me.
